Minto Recreation Complex - Barrhaven

Very nice facility! Unfortunately, the facility is overcrowded and overused. Fees should increase to maintain the quality we paid for with our taxes.

Minto offers great swimming lessons a good place to relax a nice gym and hockey rinks and if there's no swimming lessons the pool is open to the public

Full complex. Two hockey rinks. A pool, walking track, gym and Community space.

Soccer/football field and small park outside.

Well located in barrhaven with ample parking

It's a nice community center. Open swim is nice, water is clean, lots of room in the change rooms. Their work out room looks nice and they have a walking circle above a gym.

Nice complex, the parking is far from the door but acceptable. Nice bright rink, very nice sized dressing rooms, and very clean throughout. It's a long walk from the ice surface to the viewing area. Warm enough for shorts

Minto needs to get up to speed with their payment terminals, no tap…I didn’t bring my wallet because I didn’t want to have to worry about it, had my phone to pay with and was turned away after driving 30 mins to swim with my toddler who was so disappointed.

Love this rink. Do not freeze while watching practice and games. Clean facility, friendly staff.

Great facility, 5 stars for that for sure. Our 2 hour ice rental didnt have any rooms ready as they were filled with public skaters belongings. Didnt see one person working in the locker room area. I suggest you provide the same dressing rooms for the 2 hour public skating and then different rooms for the 2 hour rental instead of criss crossing the room allocations needlessly. A top facility in the City though.

Doesn't seem to be well run. They lock people in the changing rooms before children's classes cutting off the fire exits and ensuring only one way in and one way out. Disaster waiting to happen. No common sense.

The ice pads are always really well maintained. I recently left my helmet at home and the staff was nice enough to find me a loaner for the night. This so happens to be the night I take a slapshot off my cage! Happy to still have my teeth

It's pretty decent, I would say. It's not perfect, but it's not terrible. It has a large indoor swimming pool, and a skating rink, and summer camps, and more that I haven't mentioned. But its definitely worth checking out if you haven't already.

Great place! The pool is full but the environment is nice and fun. Most importantly, the behaviour of the staff was friendly and helpful.
I recommend it.

Super happy of our choice at this recreational centre. A group of well organized young professionals. A big shout out to Lan-anh for being a super star not only as a Head Lifeguard but also in the high customer service

A nice, modern facility. Very open design. Gyms, rinks, swimming pool. I've attended a kids' birthday party here, and everyone loved it. Beautiful high ceilings, very open. If there's one downfall, it's that the parking lot can be frustrating to navigate. Give yourself a good 5 minutes to park and make your way to the doors, longer in winter.

Crowded pretty much all the time. Confusing the first time.
But a nice facility with a lot of activities.

Love going there. Just wish they would be considerate of Seniors and allow access to the gym room from the walking track. Had to go down, re-register and climb up 26 stairs to gain entry. Painful and hard in the knees.

Nice modern facility for family activities, enjoyed the gym and pool, and the ice surface looks nice. Prices are reasonable too.

Fabulous venue. Unfortunately the City of Ottawa does a terrible job of internet, limiting on premise to 1.5 Mb/s - barbaric in this day and age. Quebec rinks are typically 10-80 times faster.

Great modern facility with s lot to exploreand play, just lacking enough informations about the courses timing and availability for kids.

I watched my son play hockey for the 1st time this year, since the passport ban has been lifted. The arena is great. Free Wi-Fi and all. Great arena.

Great rink. Good ice. Only problem is the City didn't set up a decent canteen area so nobody can make a go of it.no snacks or food and its in the middle of Barha-beria.nothing around it except for a fire station and football field. Short term parking is a gongshow.

These guys always put too much water on the ice! Every time. But the dressing rooms are always nice a clean!
