Minute Muffler & Brake

I have had troubles with my 2008 Toyota Highlander Hybrid exhaust for the last 3 years, every few months trying a deferent repair shop around the GTA, spending so much money for poor quality jobs that fixed nothing. Yesterday I got a recommendation about this place and I got there around 2: 30, I was told they can fix it in two hours and the price was more than fair, I was out by 4: 30 and the car sounds like it used to 80,000 km ago. Amazing service, extremally professional and for a great price. That's my new go to place for this kind of work. I would definitely recommend Minute Muffler & Brake to anyone who needs a reliable and honest car service. They are the best in town!

Hands down the most honest mechanics I've ever experienced. I have been coming here for years and felt its time to share. I believe this industry can be known for shady behavior for which Ive been challenged with many times so these guys deserve some credit and my recommendation. Also, they accept walk-ins and many times have looked at my car immediately while I wait. 5 star service. Highly recommend!

I bought a car with a safety certification from this place. Big mistake.
I take the car out for a drive, and the first time I drive it after the safety, three warning lights come on the dash!
Better still, I hit the brakes on the highway, and the steering wheel starts vibrating!
How is that safe?
When talking to whatever his name is, it’s just excuse central. “We check the thickness of the rotors and the pads”
But apparently, if the rotor is warped, it’s fine?
Any other mechanic would have caught that and done something about it before deeming it a safe vehicle to send out across the country, never mind just down the road.
This guy’s a joke.

Went to replace my catalytic converter, they put the O2 sensors in the wrong outlets (downstream in the upstream and vide versa). This lead to both cats being burnt and a hurting bank account. Would not recommend to others looking to replace their catalytic converters.

Went in there for a wheel alignment and it was done quickly. Tested it out myself and it checks out! Everyone there are very professional and knows how to get work done as a team. I will be continuing to come here for any issues I encounter!

Called this morning because my muffler was about to fall off my car.took it in, and 30 minutes later we were on our way and the cars silent! They took the time to show us what was going on, what work needed to be done and were priced really really fairly. Highly recommend giving them a visit!

Dec 2021:
Had a tire losing air. Called a different place I've been before and they were too busy. Happened to be passing by here 40 minutes before they close and figured it wouldn't hurt to ask if they could squeeze me in. Took a look almost immediately. Leaking around the bead due to corrosion. They resealed and rebalanced the tire for $35 cash. Great experience.

Dec 2019:
Returned here to have bad squeaking and popping in the front end diagnosed. Turned out the large plate on the bottom of my X3 just wasn't bolted on properly. 10 minutes total in and out. 2 other mechanics missed this and had me prepared to buy hundreds in control arms and bushings. I wasn't even charged the repair was so fast! Highly recommended now.

Nov 2019:
Squeezed me in and took time to explain some stuff to me. Charged reasonably but not cheap. Overall would continue to come here.

Very happy with the service here and prices were the best in the area. Thank you Frido and to my friend Brian who found this place for me for some major repairs on my old Jeep Liberty. I thought I’d have to get a new vehicle but now I’ll be able to hang on to her for a few more years and ride out COVID. I’m a happy camper!

I was really happy with my experience to get my brakes done. Plus I got my car back EARLY! I regret not remembering to bring my car here when my ball joint snapped off my front driver-side wheel while driving several months ago.

I brought my car to Gyro Hyundai and I was charged by the dealerships more than TWICE to QUADRUPLE the price of what Minute Muffler would have charged me AND the dealership kept my car 4 to 8 times longer than Minute would have had my car (which caused me an extra $300 expense to rent a car)

1st time customer. 1st impressions are VERY important!

Staff was very friendly. It was a very sunny day and the lady behind the counter was kind enough to close the blinds for me. This showed me that customers come 1st.

I have an older car so parts are a bit harder to come by. Frido offered me a cheaper option for my car's muffler system. Even though It took a long time to get my car's muffler system installed because we had to wait for the parts; I am grateful for the wonderful service I received today.

The mechanic that worked on my car has done a magical job. My 2001 Ford Focus has NEVER been so quiet!

I would not hesitate to go back and will be recommending them.

I have been dealing with minute muffler and brake owner Fredo for many many years they get me in and out as quick as possible and their workmanship is absolutely excellent I highly recommend this place

Henry was very fair, saved me money by strongly suggesting I stick with the muffler /resonator pipe I had rather than replace it because it was broken at flange on resonator side. He cut it and welded a nice piece of stainless pipe on instead, should last me a few years.

Frido was able to squeeze me in on a Saturday morning and fix the exhaust pipe and install a new catalytic converter on my car within an hour. His prices were very fair and he explained everything and broke down his pricing for me. I felt that not only was he fast and friendly but also did great work. I would recommend Minute Muffler to anyone!

Had exhaust leak repaired for 25% of the cost the vehicle dealer quoted within an hour of walking in with no appointment. Quick and quality work.

Brought in my 2007 Cadillac CTS today as she was sounding like a battle tank. Pipe was broken clean right between the Y and the catalytic converter would have cost me a s*** ton of money anywhere else. Great pricing.
I cannot say enough good things about the customer service, The skill done and the time it took to do the job. I was quoted two and a half hours they were done in under an hour my car sounds amazing it runs better these guys are awesome and I highly recommend them I won't go to anywhere else.

Excellent service, trustworthy and friendly. I've been going here for many years. I have another Minute Muffler 2 mins away, not to mention many other mechanics, but drive 20 mins to come here. Trust is everything.

Worst place to go to. Called in at 4: 30 and asked if I could come in for 5 to change a muffler which takes 20 minutes. Came in and was sitting until 6, and they came up to me and said we can’t do it because we close at 6. Worst place, waiting area smells like cigarettes and workshop and waiting area is nastily and filthy. DONT GO HERE. They don’t keep there word.

Car repair service is often one of the more stressful types of services because it's hard to judge whether what the mechanic is telling me is accurate. The guys at Minute Muffler were super friendly and courteous and took the time to explain exactly what was wrong. What's more, they gave me many options in terms of what, how and when to fix the problems. They were happy to discuss things with me which is why this is now my favourite mechanic. Prices were extremely fair. Could not recommend more highly.

Called ahead and explained what I needed done on my truck. Asked if I could make an appointment and was told it wasn’t necessary I could just come in. Told them I would be there in an hour. An hour later I arrive am and told they aren’t staffed and to come back another day. Thanks for wasting 2 hours of my day.
