Mission Thrift Store

I love going to Mission Thrift in Brantford. The friendly and hardworking staff work tirelessly to make each visit special. The merchandise is beautifully displayed, is of very high quality, and is wonderfully priced. Often, the store features themed merchandise, in which they have accumulated items of a certain category, and then bring them out simultaneously. Wonderful for collectors. Always fun, and always worth the time to stop!

Nice clean store, bought some fine costume jewelry (amber & turquois) & this lovely blue Carnival Glass candy dish. I would say that was a good day. I would check it out new stuff daily.

Volunteer helpers work very hard to keep this store looking beautiful. I always find what I need here.

Great little thrift store, down side is the mens clothing doesn’t get updated often, you’ll find yourself looking at the same selection repeatedly.

Okay shop run by volunteers, I purchased 2 large framed posters which were 20$ each, good price. The only problem was the woman who brought them down for me was shaming me cause I was concerned of a few scratches on the metal frames! I was not trying to bet a discount, I was more or less musing out loud whether I wanted to touch them up. I did answer her back and she just kept being an unkind person. Other than that there was some nice finds.

Great place, friendly staff who ensure that every piece they showcase on their floor is clean and functional; ready for you to be repurposed. As a senior move manager, I will continue to recommend this store for my clients.

I'm disappointed with the staff at this shop. Having never visited the shop before I was unaware of the "no children" policy. There was nothing indicating the policy at the door. When we went to enter my 9 year old got yelled at by the staff member at the door, because he hadn't followed this policy. He was sent outside, then I was reprimanded. I pointed out there was no indication of the policy anywhere. Apparently they have a sign that is normally outside but had forgotten to be put out.
There was no apology for the treatment, and I was upset by the way the staff member felt she could treat my child. I will not be returning as I have a chid who is with me all the time, so I will be unable to shop at this store. Disappointing and unnecessary.

I look at furniture items every time I go in but I find the prices are always too expensive for me. I've found a top or 2 and a few pairs of pants for great prices. $2 for the pants. I always glance through the books and baby items, and I've found some items for a fair price.

This is one of the best thrift stores I have been to.with very informative staff. Love this place.

I live only a block away so I'm there everyday. Most of what I own I purchased there. The prices are fantastic and the staff are wonderful! I bought a matching desk and cabinet set today. John, a staff member, saw I was interested and not only dropped the price but delivered it to my house free of charge! I love this place!

It's a little untidy but it's a thrift shop.prices are mostly good but they are slightly high for furniture.

Went in there a few days ago looking for candles, pillar style as well as tapers. Couldn't see any so I asked someone. She goes back to look & comes out with a shoebox of tapers.and proceeds to hand it to someone else? ! After that person had chosen most of the nice, not-warped ones the box was handed to me to pick through the leftovers.the lady went back to look again & came back with some pillar candles and again she handed them to someone else? ! Did she honestly just not remember who asked or what I looked like? The other person again picked through the good ones and handed me the rest. At this point I spoke up and said 'um I'm the one who asked for candles.why am I not getting first choice on at least some of them'. The lady didn't say anything.also when I originally asked I spoke quite loud so the other shoppers nearby would have known who asked for candles? She then came out a third time with a huge scented jar candle which she finally gave me first choice on - except I specifically asked for tapers or unscented pillars as I have asthma and can't use scented stuff! They need to pay better attention and give first choice to the person who asked & waited patiently. And considering this is a 'Christian' thrift store the other shopper should have done the right thing & let the person who asked have first choice on at least some of the items. Besides, at this time of the year why are candles not out on display in the store to begin with? I realize this is a small thing but it did ruin my shopping experience there, considering I hadn't been there in some time & was happy to go revisit again.at least I was.

It was great, they are always great in there and their prices are awesome and the staff is so friendly. Going to Value Village or the salvation armythey have more of a selection in those places but the prices are a joke. But at Bibles for missions their prices are always so fair.
