Great atmosphere, plenty of variety, good pricing and very friendly staff.
I shop here often and will continue too.

Really the best thrift store i have ever been, wide variety of stuff. Linda was pretty helpful, she’s a very generous lady.

I am giving the bad review solely on the location because the customers are always blocking the restricted parking and creating a nuisance to mothers like me who is trying to bring their kid to the daycare next door.

Lovely store! Volunteers are awesome! The new location of Mission Thrift store is a much welcome addition to an area in Newmarket that needed a boost. Just stop by and see what they have. You will not be disappointed. Love it here. Try to recycle your items rather than your money).

Mission thrift never disappoints. Staff are always friendly and I find something every single time I go. Love love this store!

The store is always clean and inviting, a big improvement over the past space. Staff and volunteers are always cheerful and available to assist. Great store to donate too as they accept select furniture. They run promotions, events and sales frequently and offer 10% off coupons when donating. Often a good selection in each department and it appears to be a well used community resource. Well done guys.

I was happy to check this place out as I have loved the store in Barrie, and recently moved to the area. I needed to purchase an outfit for an event and had placed several items in my cart. I asked the nice ladies at the checkout where the change rooms are and was told they do not have any change rooms, and I could take them all home, try everything on and return what I did not need the next day. All other thrift stores I have been too including the mission store in Barrie has changes rooms.
I was shocked. This to my knowledge is not posted anywhere and I commented on this. I left with nothing as I needed the outfit for the next morning. Went to another store and found a perfect outfit to wear.
On a positive note this store is huge! I did not take time to look around but they have a lot of furniture. I will be back but not to purchase clothing.

I previously left Mission Thrift a very good review at their older location however, I feel compelled to revise that review now. First of all I’m just going to be straightforward and make it clear that the 3 stars are for their remarkably kind and courteous volunteers. This review does not at all reflect the volunteers. Since their move, the prices here have suddenly gone from fair and reasonable to astronomical. Mugs priced between $10 - $15 is uncommon even for for-profit thrift stores. The baskets were the most unusually priced. $25 for a used, torn, and dirty basket is not fairly priced, and frankly distasteful. Unfortunately, I will be making my trips here less frequent which is a shame because I do love that they are charitable.

The new store is lovely - well organized and clean. I’m happy that The Mission was able to find a new location - but I do agree with other reviewers that the prices have gone up drastically since the move. I’m disappointed that this has occurred, and hoping that the powers that be will re-evaluate the pricing policies.

Used to love going but won't anymore with the new 24 hour exchange policy and no fitting rooms. I can't risk buying something that I can't try on and may not be able to return the same day, especially with prices going up.

Came by here on a Tuesday night. They had just opened their new location on Yonge in Newmarket. There wasn’t anything at the store I was interested in except a book.felt like the store was a run down of a value village. After waiting at least 5ish mins at the cash, being the only one in line. I finally got to the cash, the cashier aka as the manager for the night had rang in the book and it came to $2. However she continued to say that it should’ve been marked as $5 because it’s a graphic novel and she knows because she’s been there for 4 years. When I had picked out the book, it said ‘$1 for all books unless specified’ this book did not have any stickers or tags. The cashier aka manager for the night then mentioned that sometimes the stickers are ripped off or removed. Anyways long story short, I had asked her politely since there’s no sticker on it that specifies the price, if she’s able to honour it for $1 as what the labels say on the shelves. She pretty much said she has already given me a ‘discount’ since it was supposed to $5, however I see it as the principle. Obviously there’s no sticker on it that specify how much the book was, if it had a sticker I’d be happy to pay that. Anyways She continue to repeat herself and said no, this is a graphic novel and they go for $5. Very poor customer service. They should be labeling the books if they’re going to charge people more for what they are labelled as at the store. Wouldn’t be going back. I’d choose elsewhere to shop for used books.

You guys are very helpful for all newcomers, Special thanks to all who worked there and your best-selling.

I shop there all the time because they don't overcharge you like a couple of other places in Newmarket. I hope due to the new store they stay priced to sell. I know it's for a good cause but still isn't selling and moving items a benefit to sell more unlike going to places and seeing the same items because they overpriced items. I will continue to support The Mission Store as long as they stay humble.

Unfortunately I had a disappointing experience. I came across a childrens book, “Vintage Walt Disney's Treasury of Children's Classics 1978 Red Hardcover“, in tattered condition being sold for $65.0. I asked a staff member if the book was priced correctly. I was told yes. I asked to speak the manager who then told me exactly that. This book is being sold on eBay for $5.00-$20.00. To mark it up to $65, especially while it’s in such poor condition, goes against every commendable tenet thrifting stands for. Especially, after a long and financially tiring pandemic.

I LOVE the Missions Store! The volunteers are SO friendly and helpful. Great value. Clean and tidy store. Always nicely arranged.

Bought a canvas bag that would have been perfect as a knitting bag. I didn't find out until I got home that it had a strong musty smell. I washed it 3 times, each time using white vinegar and letting it dry in the sun.
I finally threw it out. Even Febreze didn't work.
This should not have been priced and put out for sale.
As for the store, it's fast being taken over by furniture, presumably because other thrift stores nearby are not taking furniture. Also the prices on the furniture are a bit steep which is possibly why it isn't selling through.

Also love shopping here. Things are organized and clean. Staff are always friendly and helpful.
I have almost always found something when I visit the store. Prices are reasonable, and manytimes they have a colored tag sale.

Driving back to Alberta and had to stop in again, good hunt last year and a repeat performance.

Store has good variety and good prices, however the assault of mildew when you walk through the door reeks havoc if you have allergies. Store scent gave me a headache.
