Missions Thrift Store

I cant say enough this store has always come to my aid for last minute items at very reasonable prices. The staff are excellent friendly and the store is well laid out. The best thing that ever happened to Beamsville.

The staff were very rude
I’ve shopped here for years, I don’t understand why the change. I support this cause and am happy to continue to do so.

Highly recommend this store:
- Prices were cheap
- Donation drop off clearly labeled
- Kids' book nook was super warm and inviting
- Dollar rack of clothes was awesome
- Love the wood displays for books and cds
-And, this is a little detail, but putting tape before the sticker makes getting the sticker off a much easier process that I really appreciate.

My fiancée and I placed 1 bid only on an old phone for their auction and we received a call we had won a bid. We got out there and someone had placed a bid under our number on a different item we didn't bid on. So I wasted gas and time coming iut there from Thorold. Hopefully it's not a scam set up by the shop to get people to buy their stuff. Won't ever be back.

First time checking out this thrift store the cashiers were kind to greet and let me know they had an amazing sale on. Prices are very reasonable compared to other thrift shops I will definitely be back.

Thursdays are seniors discount days on all purchases at the store unless you have the misfortune of getting an old bat on cash register that has had a bad day that refuses to give you a discount because according to her things are already discounted and you don't need additional seniors discount. I am 76 years old and I call that seniors abuse.

Lots of goodies today, I love browsing the store.
Only thing is prices went up even though it’s donations.

I went here and found a beautiful couch. It was priced and my parents were in the day before. It came with a chaise lounge. It was all one piece. I drive down from kitchener and said i will buy it. After i said id buy it a volunteer puts a sticker on the chaise lounge that came with the sectional and marked it up 35 more dollars. I said this is not the price you told my parents yesterday and not the price listed today. Must be a mistake? I just bought this for the price listed. They said oh someone forgot to add that its more. How because my parents were here yesterday and the price was told to them yesterday. So now that im buying it, its more because someone one forgot to add more pricing to a piece that comes with the sectional? Its all one piece! They said id have to pay more now that i wanted it. I explained that by law if if was not priced appropriately thats the price the customer pays. I spoke with the store manager who refused and said i had to pay more even though it was fault of their own. I am discusted with the fact that they are a non for profit and try to get more money after the sale was confirmed. I dont suggest you buy from here. The other customers were discusted at the way I was treated. They spoke up for me. One lady left her things and walked out empty handed because of how I was treated. Dont support this place! Go elsewhere! Deceitful and not honest. The manager is extremely rude and I have worked in retail. I would never do that to a customer after a sale was made.

I found a used camp stove for $50.00 at this store. A brand new one at Wal-Mart is $49.96 for the exact same one. When I talked to the manager and showed her these comparible prices she told me it was already priced and wouldn't change it BUT told me that there was a "half price" sale coming up in few weeks and we should come back to buy it then. So they jack up all of their prices at this store in advance in anticipation of this "half price" sale. All my donations will now go to value village. Pretty shady for a "Christian" store.

Good place to bring gently used household items and clothing you no longer need, to donate to help others. And, have a look through the store and see if there is an old treasure you might enjoy, all for a bargain price.

Well organized and reasonably priced. Sales on different sections every few weeks. And the staff are quite friendly and helpful. I've found several brand new items there as well as many things in excellent condition.

Not very Christian like when they denied my husband emergency use of of their washroom and told him to go find another one because their wash room is for staff only. My husband has a problem stemming from diabetes when he has a sudden need to pee which they denied him access to the staff washroom. They may think they are Christian but only in the case of converting other countries to their religion to give them all bibles. Try starting at home with kindness and compassion for your fellow Canadians.

I was just at the store with my mother and 3 year old daughter. I can say I have never been so disappointed in a mission store. My daughter needed to use the washroom and was denied. I can understand if previous experiences dictate a no public washroom, however the use was for a 3 YEAR OLD CHILD to go pee. For an older child, around the corner is not a problem, but at three to go back in the car, in the car seat, then drive around the corner, then wait for me to get her back out of car seat and then into a public washroom is NOT no problem. Needless to say I will not be donating anymore (last time was 2 months ago, 3 large bags) and I will not be shopping there.

Wonderful place to obtain clothes, decorations and furniture with low cost and the same time help de bible league misión.

Always good deals to be found and a varied silent auction. If you're in the area, give them a look.
