Wonderful service and care! Always attentive to pet and owner needs. This place has been beyond reliable over the years with check ups and procedures for my senior baby. Was referred here and I’m so glad I was

Okay, it's an "emergency vet" so right off the bat they're going to charge more for "emergency service" (read: you wait till regular business hours to recieve Dx/Tx/Rx.)

But, if you're showing up here in the middle of the night- you either go and tell them you're solely there for euthanasia, or you pay 400$ for an exam and go from there. Nobody qualified will look at your pet at all unless you pay that fee.

EVERY OTHER VET I've worked with will at least pop into the room to speak with me for a few seconds BEFORE that decision is made to hear what I'm there for and give an honest suggestion if they think it's worth it to move forward with Dx/Tx, or if it's best to euth.

Not here. They take the visibly ailing pet into the back and then the receptionist will tell you they're stable and fine, and do you want the vet to come and look? We asked to speak with the vet first and were told it was a five hour wait no matter what and they had to charge us before a vet would even come into our room.

Our pet was not stable or fine. And they were basically just wanting us to wait five hours till morning shift showed up. I wish we were told that before we packed our pet up and went.

We took her to her regular vet first thing the next morning (still an hour before this place would have seen her!) who was shocked we were told she was stable and okay. She came in as soon as we were settled to hear what we had to say and told us that she didn't think there was anything she could do as our pet had clearly suffered a stroke/neurological event due to her age. She gave us the option at that point. She didn't push for an exam fee.

**Ask about wait times and triage here before you ask anything else. VERIFY THAT THERE IS A VET/PROVIDER QUALIFIED TO TREAT YOUR PET ONSITE! **

**If you have a time sensitive emergency, check the other emergency vets in the area before going here. You will be made to wait till opening hours here if your pet isn't lucrative enough. **

THIS IS A VERY EXPENSIVE 24 HOUR WAITING ROOM.

I would not recommend this unscrupulous provider at all.

Our dog recently had TPLO surgery at MOVEH. Dr. Nutt and the team did an amazing job! When we went to pick up our dog the following day I was a little overwhelmed thinking about the at home aftercare, but after the discharge appointment that we had with RVT Daniel any doubts I had were gone. Daniel took the time to thoroughly explain what we would have to do at home and went over all of the medications with us and answered all of our questions which made me feel confident that we could give her the best at home care. Dr. Nutt and Daniel you ROCK!

Just over 3 weeks ago we had to say goodbye to our sweet, precious little girl KiKi.
We had attended this hospital 2 or 3 times earlier in the year, were very pleased with the experiences and our dog was very calm on each visit. She usually trembled before we even went into the vets.
When it was time to say goodbye we knew where we wanted to take our girl.
Thank you to all the staff that made us and our girl as comfortable as possible. A huge thank to Dr. Rakocevic. You helped us through one of our darkest days.

Dr Benson and Chandler were amazing in our unfortunate experience. Staff was most accommodating on visits. Adrian, Head of Emergency, was very up front and honest.we thank him for that

Wanted to thank Dr. Fishman and all the other staff for the absolute wonderful support we received today. You guys were truly amazing and we are grateful to have had you guys by our side during such a difficult time. Thank you for everything

My family and I had a great experience with Mississauga Oakville VCA. We brought our girl here all the way from London as the Vet clinics in our area were unable to provide us with a diagnosis. Our girl was in ICU and was provided with the best care possible. Staff were attentive to our girl and to us, providing us daily updates and ensuring we understood everything that was being done on our girl. We would like to recognize the work of all the staff, especially Dr. Duque who definitely went above and beyond and provided us top service. She continues to be a support to our family and our girl.

Our girl has showed tremendous improvement since she left and we want to thank Mississauga-Oakville Veterinary Emergency Hospital for everything that they did for our girl.

Total money grab. Dental vet checks the animals through a video call, from her home. She's not even there and they keep the pet for many hours for no reason. She said they (the nurse) couldn't check my pet properly because he was trying to bite them and still charged me hundreds of $s. Don't waste money unless your own vet sends your pet here.

I brought my golden retriever in for an emergency visit a few weeks ago, they were very thorough and caring.

They were also incredibly accommodating and took a look at my boy even though they were already at capacity for the night. I explained that I had called hospitals all over the GTA and none were able to see us, so they told us to come in.

I took my cat KitKat to the Oakville Mississauga Animal Hospital for the first time on March 23rd 2022 and was pleasantly surprised. The Doctor that looked after KitKat was amazing, thoughtful, understanding and so kind and helpful. And much to my surprise they don't charge you an arm or leg and they are very understanding when it comes to the almighty dollar. They know that not everyone can afford to pay some of the huge cost associated with a sick pet. They will work with you to get to a place that works for everyone. Thank you for having a heart

This place has nice people working but not really impressed. My dog got sick (vomiting, problems with stool) and underwent 100's of dollars of tests which deemed inconclusive by the doctor who then pushed for 100's of dollars more in tests. Either they are inexperienced or just trying to.you know.

We concluded the dog had food poisoning. That simple diagnoses would come from a good vet rather than needing x-rays and ultrasounds. I'll do whatever is needed to keep my dog healthy but I don't want to go to a vet that is even more clueless than I am. My dog is now on a path to a full recovery with really no help from this institution and a lighter wallet.
Also I would like to add that my dog was released in a very dehydrated state.

No payment plan option if you can't afford the vet bill in full.they won't take your banking info to yank the funds out when you get paid from work.
The actual care for the animal is great just not so much for you and your wallet

Had to travel an hour an 20 min to get here as it was the only vet we could find accepting patients at 11 pm. Our cat was seen right away, they called us with updates all along. They were personal and professional and followed up with us the next day

It's never fun to go to an emergency but the care and prompt service can make your experience better. It was great to be able to call and get update on our wait time, on my dog's status.thank you for your excellent care

I recently had to rush my cat to the hospital due an bladder obstruction. The team at the hospital accessed his issue and had a course of action in under 15 mins. And this was while they had a waiting time of several hours. They kept me informed of his status and texted me photos of him. Every day I received a call from the Doc updating me and addressing my concerns. Best care anywhere!

I am in tears typing this. The thoughtfulness of this clinic will never be forgotten.
Two weeks ago my baby girl past away. Today I came home to a beautiful card from the staff, Jess, Kathryn, Kerianne, John, Jamie, & JC. You will never know how much this meant to me
I thank you for your kindness. It means a lot during these times.

God forbid your dog should get skunked in the eyes and require immediate attention. They told us not to bring her in because one of their employees is allergic to skunks.

I fully appreciate protecting the health of employees, but maybe think of a mitigating strategy so you can take care of all dogs in emergency situations.

Last night after being rejected from EVERY other animal hospital in GTA we finally were able to find this hospital. It was our 12 year old dog final hours, minutes really and the DR.there was VERY accommodating to understanding our emotional distress at this time. The reception took our guy in right away and the doctor gave us her honest opinion. If it wasn't for the doctors there that entire experience could of been traumatizing. Thank you for letting us take our time with Fifa and saying goodbye to him. You were all amazing women in there and can't imagine how hard these situations can be for you too. We will miss Fifa but we will always cherish his final moments of care.

I ended up taking my Irish Wolfhound here when he developed a bad case of pneumonia and subsequent elevated kidney values. As a Veterinarian myself I knew that Cedric needed medicine and care beyond what my own clinic could offer and they took him in without a bat of the eye. The Emergency Team, Internal Medicine Team and all the Techs, Radiologists, and assistants took amazing care of my boy. Dr. Ceballos and Dr. Sparks were amazing to keep good tabs on my boy and send me many updates!

Cedric and I are forever grateful!

They just helped us say goodbye to a beloved pet. We had to travel there at night from Burlington as our cat was having seizures and was in her "final time". They were so helpful and accommodating, letting us say our goodbyes in a quiet space. Thank you so much!

I had a great experience bringing my dog here. From start to finish, they were kind and understanding. When they were able to help my dog, they spoke about all the options and explained each of them thoroughly. The Dr's that I spoke to were really understanding and helpful. I could tell that they cared about their patients and their work.

If your fur baby needs emergency care, this is the place you need. Everyone is lovely, kind and truly caring. They reassured our family and explained things in so much detail. We are grateful to them for the care our little guy received.

We had to take our dog here over a holiday long weekend. The staff was extremely friendly and the doctor phoned multiple times while we waited outside to run through various options of medication. It wasn't cheap but we were certainly glad they were available to us and extremely grateful for their help.

If your pet has an emergency, this is the last place you want to take him/her.

I drove 1: 30 hours to the hospital because my kitten needed a specialist for her disease. She was transferred from another hospital in a critical condition. After arriving to the hospital and telling them I had an emergency, they didn’t seem to really care and had me waiting for ONE AND HALF HOURS in the parking lot.

I called 10 times and every single time they told me to stop calling and keep waiting. They told me that someone will call me “shortly”. Guess what, nobody called me. I went outside my car several times to talk personally to every single technician that will step on the parking lot. Guess what? They told me to keep waiting because they were “understaffed” and “full”. They had plenty of staff to go out to the parking lot to deliver medicines to other patients, talk for several minutes with other clients and taking all the time in the world to do it, but not to take in an animal in CRITIAL CONDITION?

After calling for the 11th time, they send out a technician to tell me to stop calling because they were annoyed and to keep waiting until someone called. Luckily, she approached to my car and I could roll down the window to show the critical condition of my kitten. After she saw her, the technician took her IMMEDIATELY inside and she was rushing to get in, now suddenly, they are not full anymore and they have space for my kitten. Sadly, my kitten couldn’t make it.

I am extremely upset with all the staff here. It’s like they didn’t believe my words or didn’t seem to care at all. I called several times to the emergency line, and instead of helping me, they replied with bad attitude and told me to stop calling.

The only fast thing that this hospital did was sending me the bill and asking me how I was going to pay the deposit.

If someone tells you that there’s an emergency, could you at least have the DECENCY to check instead of turning your back right away?
