If you want to taste what shawarma tastes like, don’t come here. Try an Arab or turkish owned shawarma place.

I have been looking for a long time for shawarma that reminds me of Israel, there are many places in Ontario that sell shawarma. But Mister Lapa is something else. Beyond the delicious food, the atmosphere. I feel like I'm in Israel.
Highly recommend coming to eat here. You can't go wrong!

I can recommend this place who like falafel or shawarma.
Hospitality is great as well, attendant is also friendly and respects everyone.
Also they gave good suggestions if a person gets confused.
They make their own hot sauce which is so good.

I have been to this place before and the food was ok…I have had better shawarma, but what my daughter shared with me today, upset me and hence the review! They made her wait for over 15 minutes for a small order to prepare a larger order that came in after her…apparently these people spoke the establishment’s mother tongue, Hebrew. At the end of it all she had to ask for a refund as the order took way too long. The person working behind the counter completely ignored my daughter. I would hate to think that this establishment gives preference to a certain ethnic/religious group (one affiliated with the restaurant), but unfortunately that’s how it appeared to my daughter. We live in an inclusive society and this experience paints a very different picture of this establishment. If you don’t belong to the community affiliated with this restaurant I would recommend you stay away. I will be calling the location to speak to the management also.

There is literally the best falafel I’ve ever tried! Fresh, crispy, absolutely delicious. Hummus and tahini are amazing as well as all the sauces. And of course a very special thing — laffa that they make after you came, so it couldn’t be more fresh. Also, unique juicy baklava, yuuummy.

I just love this place and supper happy that I found them:)

Everything is wonderful. All the foods and salads are specially delicious with fresh vegetables and meat especially avacado tuna salad and chicken shawerma are the best. The employees are friendly with nice behaviour.

I want to tell about the miss service I got by Hassan.
I have been a devoted customer for years and recently I had 3 bad experiences (showing how devoted I was and giving a second and third chance) and I complained to Hassan all three times. He kept telling me I need to go get checked while he would not admit to having a problem or needing to self check his own kitchen.
So now after being shameless guided out of the restaurant he tells me to go get checked and I don’t want to eat there again.
So Hassan I will definitely won’t come back and I recommend everyone who cares about his stomach not go there.
He could have prevent this review by politely say I understand and I’ll do in house check up and offer some sort of compensation, but he chose not to.
To sum it all up he gets zero for food and zero for customer service.

The most authentic and incredible flavors around the Vaughan area. If you're in the area, and are in the mood for Mediterranean food, you must visit Mister Laffa!

Have given this place more than one chance, including tonight. Won't be returning. Had chicken skewers with salad. Chicken was dry. Salad was simply disgusting. It contained wilted lettuce, translucent wet cucumbers and wrinkly cherry tomatoes. Hard to understand how they can serve food like that. Poor quality has occurred too many times. Other middle eastern places nearby are far better (i.e Sofram) fresher and tastier. So long Mr. Laffa.

This is by far the best restaurant for middle eastern food in the GTA. The best Hummus in town, tender lamb skewers, delicious eggplant dishes, awesome crispy Falafel and much more. It is all accompanied by the owner's hospitable approach of treating people not like clients but rather like house guests.
If you're not already familiar with this restaurant you need to rush over. Fair warning - you may not want to go to any other middle eastern restaurant ever again.

The shawarma is to dry and the portion of chicken was way too small. $25 for a small cup of shawarma and salad. Quality is bad and over priced.

We loved everything we ordered, the lamb chops with fries, shawarma on pita and shawarma with rice w/ lentils. Will be back for more for sure! Thank you.

I just tasted a Laffa from this place today and I must admit the fresh laffa bread really makes a difference. This was one of the best shawarma's I've tried in a long time. Better than Bali-Laffa

The most tastless Chicken shawarma I've ever tasted. The laffa is nice but the chicken tasted like nothing. Quality of the food has gone down since the pandemic hit.

Their Laffa is the best I've tasted. So very fresh and fluffy.

We are big fans of their shawarma with hummus.

A little pricey so can't eat it every day. But still very good food.

Was told about this place for making a killer shawarma so I drove to the Dufferin in langstaff area.
From the moment you walked in you're treated like a VIP. The problem with a lot of shawarma places is they store their chicken on their hot table for who knows how long and they don't make their own pita wraps. Here at Mr laffa they make their own pitas and they cut the chicken off the spit. Very very good they're baklavas were excellent and they were very nice people. The shawarma was excellent I just get chicken pickles and garlic. The baklavas were very very good this is a highly recommended place. I would say in my top three shawarma places in Vaughan. Thanks to the team at Mr LAFFA

Falafel is 6/10
Salad 2/10 (no house dressing or any dressing. Just plain lettuce/tomatoe /onion/carrot.)
Menu says falafel comes with 3 salads (uber shows no salad option so we thought its a standard SET items of salad; we get 1 salad with the food) even if they hadnt seen any salads chosen, and system somehow messed our order up, no phone calls to check. They make their mind up for you)
So. Variety 0/10
No tahini on falafels or on the side. 0/10
Laffa breads 7/10
All of that aside, when you call them to discuss 5he order before calling uber eats to avoid a bad rep for the business, the gentleman on the phone either knew zero about the most basic customer service principles or was having a terrible day. Not helpful at all.
Suggestion? If this was my business (we have had franchise and concept food businesses in the past), i wouldn't want my customers to have the food without how it should be experienced. I. E. When you go to any drive through and order fries and burger, ketchup is automatically dropped in the bag. Your experience is SET the way it is intended.
Its sad because we like to support local businesses but with the way we were treated, this shall be our 1st and last order here.

Best food in the neighbourhood. If you're looking for delicious, juicy shish kebob, or tasty shawarma for a great price then this your place! Amazing value for the price but most importantly DELICIOUS!

Absolutely the best Chicken Shawarma in the GTA! The chicken was moist, tender and grilled perfectly all at the same time with some very interesting flavors. The hummus and baba ganoush.cannot describe, just order them! So good! And the Laffa.you can just keep eating them.so good

Mister Laffa has really great food but lately I notice he slacking. I always order hummus plate and it’s supposed to come with a laffa. I always order more but when I come home I only find the one I payed extra for.meaning I am always short on something I am supposed to get within the meal and it’s very upsetting since I live far.
1 star for multiple occasions this was happening

Best shawarma I've ever had. I have been to at least a dozen different shawarma places in my life, and this one beats them all not just in terms of food, but the customer service was absolutely phenomenal too. Hassan is a legend.

What a great find at the edge of Thornhill Woods on Dufferin south of Rutherford. The owner is always there behind the counter friendly and ready to serve one of the best Shawarmas in the GTA. They make their own Laffa (Iraqi Flat Bread) fresh to order used in their wraps. Will definitely be back

Tried lamb and chicken combo in Lafa bread. The laffa was right on, soft and good thickness. There is a nice and fresh selection of toppings. Veggies, spreads and yummy hot sauce. Great experience.

The taste is authentic and quality of laffa wrap is good.laffa are freshly prepared.

We had lamb sheekh kebab laffa wrap & dark chicken laffa wrap for $24 + tax.

But if u are habituated to the commercialized taste of mediterranean wraps, u may not appreciate this taste as hummus and tahini sauce was a bit too sour for my liking. Number of Lamb & chicken kebab pieces in the laffa wrap were satisfactory.

I went to Mister Laffa and ordered a falafel on a laffa. I was quite disappointed in the manner in which they prepare their food. They use the same oil for their falafel balls as they do with their meats. Also, they use the same tongs for their shwarma as they do for all their veggies. It was a huge turn off to see tongs dripping in meat juices being used to pick up lettuce. If you are a vegetarian, I would avoid this place. I didn't end up eating there since I was so turned off, so I cannot comment on the taste of their food.

Best grilled chicken breast / dark chicken in the GTA area, and I've tried many. The Humus is also excellent, I always order some package for home. Just need to clarify that I tried only these options, as they were so good, that I didn't try other dishes, so feedback is limited for this main dish, all other sides are very good too - rice, fries, Humus, Tahini and all salads.

Came in to have a shawarma salad. As he put the chicken shawarma on the salad, he decided he put too much chicken that he actually removed it from the salad.anyways nothing too special and like others have said, chicken portion is small for the shawarma, the other toppings are ok.

Family owned business. A definite stop everytime im in Vaughan or RH area. Love the fresh laffa.

I rarely ever write reviews, but as a result of multiple mediocre shawarma experiences in this city, i have to give this place credit. I've been going here for about a year or two now, and if Mister Laffa isn't the best Shawarma in Toronto, it is definitely up there. Why? Fresh homemade ingredients, fresh soft and fluffy laffa bread and well-seasoned and juicy shawarma; nothing store bought here. A family run business that actually cares about the food they're serving customers. The best taboule, cabbage and hot sauce i've had in Thornhill/Vaughan, without a doubt. Come to Mister Laffa for authentic shawarma and great service.

I was the first ever customer here. Throughout the years Hassan has fed me numerous times, always well cooked, delicious and fresh. Great pricing and the shawarma is especially tasty if you come in within 30 minutes of them opening. Don't hesitate.

We had the chicken shawarma and the falafel shawarma. Both were very large and delicious. Definitely one of thr best shawarma I've had ina while. They baked the wrap right in front of me and it smelled great. Would definitely go again.

Went here on a recommendation that this might be a good shawarma comparable to something in Ottawa. However do not expect that coming here. The fresh baked bread was amazing and really delicious, but the rest is only okay. The meat was good but the portion was not enough and it's not flavoured as much with spices. The bread portion was too much for the smaller portions of meat and vegetables. Also the way that they wrap the sandwiches makes it quite hard to eat as they don't really close the wrap and it opens from the bottom and the side, and the side opening is not great considering that's where they put the garlic sauce. Inside seemed clean and presentable. Overall a good experience but not great and doesn't really satisfy my shawarma craving, but a good healthy alternative sandwich to fast food.

Good food and nice staff. Recommend it to all. Visited for dine in as well as take out. It offer good different varieties of mediterranean food.

I had takeout here once and I really enjoyed the food here laffas are so delicious. However, when I came back to order today, some staff were not wearing masks (it is a bylaw), the cook was not wearing gloves, and was making the laffas/sandwiches straight with his hands, then immediately handling cash and the interac e-transfer machine after, without sanitizing or washing his hands in between. It was absolutely disgusting and I just left. Regardless of pandemic or not, no restaurant should have such low health & safety measures. Unfortunately it was too unhygenic to ever be dining here again.

Staff were more focused on Uber eats/skip the dishes orders rather then customers who walked in. Ordered a chicken shawarma plate and was never asked what toppings I wanted or anything in it. The chicken lacked flavor and tasted rubbery. Not to mention some of the staff were not wearing a mask while cooking.

The worst place ever!
We ordered at work a few shawarmas, asking to name/mark each separately, as everyone likes different meat.
Not only the mixed up entire order, they missed items, eve though took full amount!
Moreover, they added hot sauce in each shawarma.
The beef shawarma was made with huge chunks of dry meat, not a shawarma at all!

Disappointed!

Get the laffa. 100% delicious, very filling and messy, but worth. They have a variety of pickled toppings that most other shawarma places don't have.

If you get a wrap you MUST get the laffa. It is nothing short of amazing. A fresh made pita bread quickly cooked in an oven at the front counter. Fill to your liking and let the games begin. Soooooooo good

Delicious food! The chicken was! Fresh warm bread, tasty salad, welcoming and friendly atmosphere and staff.

I had a chicken shawarma laffa wrap. The flat bread was made fresh on the spot. The whole wrap looked like a Xmas log. It was that big. I had to cut it in half and save for later, but I ended up eating it all. Wow! It came with the typical toppings and sauce. $11 and came to $14 with pop. A bit expensive but worth a treat once in a while. Entree items were a bit on the expensive side for a quick service restaurant. Everything was served on china. Mr Laffa is a small clean restaurant for a quick meal. Not really ideal for a family.

Picked up lunch here for the entire office on a whim. Glad i did so! Very friendly service and exceptional food. This business has nailed value for money and delivering what the customer wants. Good food with friendly service at a fair price. Would not hesitate to recommend.

When I started working here, they said they would pay for my training. After I finished the training they told me I was not the right fit for the job. They didn't provide a reason for their decision. I was jovial and fast at learning. I asked them to pay for my hours of working and they said no. I called them and they ignored me. I had worked a good 40 hours and I actually did useful work. It wasn't until my mom called and yelled at them that they told me to come get my money. They were very rude and unprofessional. Don't support this business. I was just a young kid trying hard to contribute and they treated me so badly.
