Mister Transmission

I have a 2016 Subaru Forester and I needed to change the CVT transmission fluid. Dealer wanted me to leave the car and their price was quite a bit higher. Dave Rinella, General Manager at the Queensway location took me in first thing in the morning and had me on my way in little over an hour. I was very pleased with the service and cost.i would definitely go see them again for other service.

Zaffer and the team made an unexpected situation good again. No regular people understand transmissions, so the brevity it takes is an art in itself. On top of the actual skill it took to fix my truck, I thought they cared enough to communicate in my values. The usual stigma of a mechanic shop dictating prices and circumstances to a glazed over customer did not happen I have never been happier to hand over my $$$

Craig was wonderful, very friendly and super efficient. His attitude was phenomenonal, treats you as if you're family. The work was done quickly and communication was better than anything I've ever experienced. Not only did he call and inform me in the process but sent pictures every step of the way. Best service I've had at a shop in recent memory. Will use these guys again in the future if ever needed.

Dave and the team did a wonderful job. It took them a little longer to diagnose the problem, but they communicated that well. I would rather have the proper work done and honestly than hastily. I would recommend this location to anyone for their honesty and work. Car runs like a dream. To whoever complains that their services take time, that's because there is quality to it, and people need to manage their expectations and reality.

I brought my car to the Queensway location to have service done in September. It is now November and I can’t get it back. Apparently the shop has been sold to someone who owns another franchise. My car was moved to another location on Jane Street without my knowledge. Dave and Jennifer promise over and over to deliver it, but when I visited the location it was still sitting out front. I just want my car back. This is an ongoing nightmare. I would pay to tow it away if I could.

Very pleased with the service and price. I’ve taken my vehicle here for various service and yet to be disappointed.

Really professional service. Never tries to upsell and really honest. Even checked brakes and quoted for service but did not push as the rest of the car repair shops do.

Pathetic non existant customer service. Had our car for 16 days, apparently 2 faulty parts, 1 broken machine, missing oil cap never returned, they broke the gear shift pin, no returned calls, 3 visits to pick up the car which even moved locations without our knowledge, 2 visits to a dealership to repair the shoddy work performed and they still have our key. Was told car would be finished in by next day if dropped off first thing which was a great turnaround. Heard nothing the day I dropped it off, called at 3pm was told they would get back to me and didn’t. Called the next day at 11 when it was supposed to be done and was told again they’d get back to me and didn’t. Went to shop at 1 to see my car going in and decided to choose another shop. Communication was not acceptable until I was leaving with keys in my hand.

June 2020, I took my car in to get it serviced. Was having an issue with my TCM and had it checked by multiple techs before coming to Mr. Transmission.

To keep this short, I dealt with Jesse (sorry if im misspelling your name). I explained my issue, brought the car in, they did their diagnostic tests and diagnosed the issue within a few days of having the car. They ordered the part, programmed and installed by the end of the following week.

Service was great (as the car is still running without an issue). Great value for what i paid (the diagnostic was extensive.unlike other mechanics that i took my car to). All services completed at the price quoted. Jesse and team are very professional and very informative.

I have since recommended Jesse and team to my friends and family.

This is the second time I've visited Mr. Transmission. I originally contacted the location at jane and lawrence who advised they were swamped but put me in touch with someone at the Queensway location. Just as the previous experience, I have nothing but positive things to say. I would greatly recommend this location to anyone in need of automotive repairs.

I'd like to have been able to write a positive review about the service and technical ability of this automotive service provider, but unfortunately I was never given the chance: on a Monday afternoon, I called and booked an appointment for 1: 30pm the following Monday for a CVT transmission fluid replacement for my 2012 sedan. The individual I spoke with confirmed my appointment date and time, and I repeated it back to him for confirmation.
When I arrived, the friendly and professional front desk worker had no record of my booking. I described the phone call, and he believed that, based on my description, a sister location had taken my call and booked me, but had failed to communicate this to the Queensway location. He produced the 8x14 paper booking sheet, which was indeed full for the day, with no hoists available. He politely offered to book me for later in the week, and he was professional.

The communication breakdown here occurred in part because the person who took my call failed to remember to call the Queensway location, but the bigger issue here is Mister Transmission's use of paper booking sheets to track appointments rather than using a digital booking solution of some kind - either a booking software, or even a shared electronic Excel spreadsheet would suffice. The other component that lead to this situation is that I spoke with a staff member who worked at a different location, and I was not aware of this - that is, the phone automatically transfers calls to other locations if it rings more than 5 or 6 times.

I had made arrangements for a family member to pick me up while the service was preformed, so this was a not insignificant waste of my time and coordination. I implore this company to invest in an electronic booking system, and I caution potential customers to request an email confirmation for any bookings.

Absolutely excellent service! Everyone was super friendly, they kept me updated every step of the way, and they were always available if I had any questions. My car was in for 3 days and everything was explained as it was being done. They are reasonable with their pricing and won’t charge you unless they can pinpoint and fix your issue. Preliminary diagnostics were free. They even went out of their way and drove my car for me once service was done to a more convenient location. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Jesse was extremely professional and walked me threw various options for a severe transmission issue with my Jeep. Highly recommend this shop for transparency and value. Thank you for the thorough work!

Rebuilt the transmission in my 78 Mustang II a few years ago. Never had an issue. Booked an appointment for checkup and inspection. Very professional with great customer service, an absolute pleasure to deal with.

During these tough times, the last thing I needed were car problems. After visiting several other places, Jesse and his team of techs were the only ones able to pinpoint what was wrong with my car. Keep up the great work!

My car broke down last week. I brought it to a Ford Dealership, but then decided to call the Mister Transmission before going through with my repair. Best decision I could have made - the new owner Aron explained everything to me, helped me save money. The whole mechanic industry has a bad name but these guys really try to stick by their word!

Aaron took care of the tow, drove me home, let me know everything every step of the way.would highly recommend

Few days after paying $2450 for used transmission my car died. Mister Transmission NEVER should have replaced transmission. Asked for print out of "issues" they knew about before working on it and they just kept lying. THIEVES.

The new owners are great! Their manager Aaron is a pleasure to work with. He is knowledgable and helped me get out of a bad place with my car.

The new owners of the shop are very professional and approachable. The manager Aaron is very knowledge. This is a high quality shop that cares about their work and the satisfaction of their customers. If you need transmission work done- look no further, this is the place to go, I highly recommend this shop!

So apparently there are new owners of this location and they are amazing. Valued my time which is really important. We’re clear cut and exceeded my expectations. Aaron also drove me to work and picked me up when my car was done. Highly recommend!

$115/h for shop labour is a little extensive. 3 hours for an input shaft on a np273 transfer case? Almost $400 for labour alone? NO WAY!

Just to update. I decided to do the job myself, which took 1.5 hours with just regular hand tools. No air or speed tools. 3 hour quote?

Called this place for a service and Erin was upfront and advised they were too busy to fit me in, but called the closest location for me and booked me in with them! Great communication and service

I'm very happy with the service I received at Mr. Transmission! I dealt with Aaron. He was very attentive and knowledgeable. It's always scary when you hear a clunking noising coming from your car but my mind was definitely at ease after speaking to him. I highly recommend this place.

MY NAME IS DWAYNE! I had a great experience with these guys, I felt right at home during the stressful situation. I was impressed by the mechanics wealth of knowledge.the manager and his wife were very welcoming and even invited me for pizza in the waiting room. I was stressed but when I left there I felt I was in good hands. My car drove even better than before. In the end of the day, the work was done right!

Referred my buddy to have his transmission rebuilt and 1 month and 9000klms over warranty the transmission started slipping, brought it back and they said will drop pan for free to see issue but didn’t do anything because they know they did a bad job. I will never refer these guys again.

To make things worst he took day off to bring them the car and they didn’t even drop the pan to inspect. What a waste of a day, time money and whole experience is bad

Don't bother. I dropped my car of on Monday and picked it up today (friday) because after 4 days they FINALLY tell me that they aren't able to start on it until next Wednesday (9 days after initial drop off). I went 4 days spending countless hours commuting while I could've been using my car the whole time.
