If you’re a student RUN AWAY, my sister lived in one of their properties and they would try to take advantage of them in every single way possible. The funny thing is once it would be problems with the house or something in regards that mizrentals needed to fix, they would take days to weeks to respond with very vague and non helpful answers. She very fortunately moved and got away but was still a stressful time. STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAMMERS.

I’m also reading the way they are replying to bad reviews and it’s amazing how unprofessional they are and how little they take responsibility. Answering these reviews as if they’re in high school in a fight with another student, and constantly resorting to pulling out the “you’re being racist” card because they know themselves they are a scam. Truly should show you what this company is about.

I would give a lower review if i could, they have been a horrible rental management company from the beginning.the house was in awful condition when we moved in and they refused to clean it up, they have also tried to make us pay for multiple fake damages.do yourself a favour and rent from literally anyone else.

Horrible property management. Our son rented from them for several years - disrespectful, like to intimidate students, never perform maintenance requests and are just downright rude to deal with. Mandatory cleaning ($$) is a joke as not much gets done. Now that we are investment property owners ourselves, they are definitely not who we have chosen to manage our properties. Much better options for student landlords in the Thorold/St. Catharines area so do your homework before signing with them.

As a Brock University student my experience with previous Landlords has not been the best. We have had a really good experience renting from the company. The leasing manager explained the process of renting and moving in very clearly. There were no sudden suprises & any issues we have had have been followed up with.
Certain issues took time but were addressed. We understand that not everything will be perfect but it has been a good experience. We will be renewing for another 2021

You guys reply to these reviews faster than our maintenance requests. Our landlord is a great guy and great landlord. He always addressed our issues and didn’t even know about them when he did his check ups, even after our maintenance requests. If it was the landlord managing this property, the lease would have been renewed instantly. Landlord is a pretty cool guy and friendly guy.

This communication and accountability within this entire company is beyond terrible. Ive heard from many students at brock that Miz Rentals has had a numerous amount of issues within their houses that have not been fixed or have taken an unacceptable amount of time to be resolved. From going back and forth from person to person having to explain the same story and situation the communication within a company should be a lot better then this, not to mention accountability and a resolution should be provided from day 1 not weeks later when they feel like responding. They mentioned Brock students have warned fellow peers not to rent with them as they take students for granted and unfortunately this was the truth when they were given the benefit of the doubt. The properties they show are very nice but would do a lot better with a better company taking care of their tenants. Its very unfortunate to see what they are doing as the unfortunate stories Ive heard should not be what students are experiencing. I hope that they do make more of an effort to not being lazy or cheap when taking care of real issues that there houses hold thus the students experience. I would say avoid renting with them at all costs and warn people you know not to get trapped into the games that they play.

Very professional. Any issues we had upon moving in were acknowledged and fixed professionally and promptly. Our property manager is amazing and goes above and beyond to ensure we are happy with our unit. Great company to rent from! Highly recommend.

MizRentals has been a very reliable and organized company for my first student house. They made the lease signing process very fast and easy and have maintained close communication with both myself and my housemates of updates on our home (repairs, move in days, lease signing processes). Miz Rentals are the property management company and manage couple of my properties. I can say, without a doubt, I have not had a single incident in which I or the tenants had any major issues. I have been with MizRentals for a little over 6 months now and have had nothin but bad experience. They have a mandatory cleaning service and lawn care service that would not show up until we contacted them multiple times. We are half students so they think they can get away with anything they want and breaking their end of the contract. They’re were 15+ bees coming into the house for over a week before they finally decided something needed to be done. Terrible company, would put 0 stars if I could.

Overall experience with the company has been good so far from touring the model home and signing the lease. Moving in has been great and problem free! The house is furnished, clean and well-maintained. The neighbourhood is a close commute for students going to Brock University.

Miz Rentals has been managing my two homes in the City of Thorold since last 10+ years and they have done an excellent job in managing both of my rental properties.
I have even directly spoken to my tenants on multiple occasions and they are happy with the way the homes are being kept clean and the rental process is without hassle.
