I recently had some tooth extractions at MM Family and Sleep Dentistry in Hamilton, and I am beyond impressed with the exceptional care I received. As someone who suffers from dental anxiety, finding the right dentist was a daunting task for me. After extensive research (I spent years looking for the right dentist for this surgery) and numerous consultations, I can confidently say that MM Dentistry is unparalleled in their understanding and treatment of dental anxiety.

From the moment I spoke to them, I felt understood and supported. Unlike my past experiences with other dentists in Hamilton who claimed to specialize in dental anxiety, MM Dentistry made me feel completely normal for my fears. They never made me feel silly or invalidated my anxiety; instead, they reassured me and provided a safe and comfortable environment.

What sets MM Dentistry apart is their comprehensive approach to dental care. Not only are they experts in managing dental anxiety, but they also eliminate the hassle of dealing with multiple clinics. There are a few sleep clinics in Hamilton, but with the other clinics, you will spend more money because you need to pay for a dentist, then get referred to the sleep clinic and pay for a consultation with the sleep clinic, then pay for the actual oral surgery. The seamless coordination between the dentist, oral surgeon, and anesthesiologist at MM dentistry ensures you will not be spending more money at multiple clinics. This was very important to me as I made the mistake a few years back trying to visit another sleep clinic in Hamilton and ended up spending most of my insurance just on the dentist visit and sleep clinic consultation, leaving me unable to afford the surgery.

One of the standout qualities of MM Dentistry is their punctuality. I never had to nervously wait for long periods in the waiting room; they respected my time and scheduled appointments efficiently. Even after my surgery, when I had concerns about a canker sore that I was worried could be an infection, they promptly accommodated me, providing quick reassurance that it was not an infection and simply a canker sore.

The kindness and care exhibited by the entire team at MM Dentistry is truly commendable. The oral surgeon and anesthesiologist were not only skilled professionals but also compassionate individuals who went above and beyond to make me feel at ease. They have their licenses and many impressive awards clearly visible in the waiting room, so there is no doubt of their expertise. Dare I say, they may the the most impressive dentist clinic I have ever visited in my life.

On top of this all, my spouse had a cleaning and fillings done there and said it was the best dental experience he has ever had as well. Throughout the procedure, they were checking to make sure he was still comfortable and not in pain. He has never had a bad experience at a dentist and that is just more telling of how wonderful the experience is at this clinic. He said that he didn't understand what a good dental experience was before this. He could not stop complimenting the two dentists who did his cleaning and fillings. Even after leaving the clinic, we have had long conversations about how wonderful they are and how lucky we feel to have come across them.

In summary, I am immensely grateful to have found MM Family and Sleep Dentistry. They have redefined our expectations of dental care, especially for individuals with dental anxiety. I have been to this practice twice now for cavity filling. Both times I had them knock me out. This is by far the best dental practice I have ever been to. The women that work here are so kind, I have extreme fear of the dentist - getting knocked out to get my cavities filled is the best thing I've ever done for myself. The technicians at this practice literally were wiping the tears off my face. They are the nicest most kind people ever. They give you a fuzzy blanket, make u comfortable. They reassure you that you are safe, they are with you - I just love this place. Both times I came out of my "surgery" saying how much I love them. The absolute best dental experience I have ever had! The staff is all so friendly and work together wonderfully as a team. They walked me through everything they were going to do and all pricing was discussed before hand and signed off on. Dr. Bhalla is incredibly knowledgeable and it truly shows in her work. The other dentist training under her is amazing as well and they all made me feel so comfortable… even while getting my tooth pulled out (I was terrified lol) honestly a 10/10 experience.

I have been coming here since 2015. The administrative staff after so professional and make scheduling and payments a breeze. The dentist is very gentle and knowledgeable. The sedation appointment are with an actual anesthesiologist. All of the above make for an safe and awesome place for children, extremely phobic patients and the general population.

I used to dread visiting the dentist, to the point that I avoided it for nearly 5 years when I moved to hamilton. From hygienists making my gums bleed to them getting floss stuck between my teeth (and leaving it there), my experiences have been overwhelmingly awful.

Thanks to MM Family and Sleep Dentistry, I actually LOOK FORWARD TO the dentist now. The entire team is so welcoming, positive and seem to truly love their jobs. They explain what they’re doing at each step and why, and even offer breaks between steps if they notice I look at all tense. I honestly love MM Family and Sleep Dentistry. The quality of their work is extremely high as well! They bill my insurance directly and work with me to get the most out of my benefits package each year.

If you’re seeking a new dentist, look no further. You’ll be treated like family here, met with patience and kindness. They even all recognized me and greeted me by name after not seeing them for over a year (due to the pandemic). Seriously, call them, book your appointment, and thank me later.

Not impressed at all and think they are very rude people, they tell me they will help me and then don’t even bother to call me back. I’m on disability and there are no dentists that accept ODSP but they were kind enough to offer to help me for my emergency issue with my tooth. I was so happy somebody was going to help me finally only to be treated rudely and to have them not even bother to return my calls and leave me suffering until I can get to see a dentist next week. Very disappointed I wish you had said nothing at all instead of offering to help and then just blowing me off

I highly recommend this office! The entire staff are friendly and very efficient. My appointment was booked quickly. The Dentist talked me through the entire procedure, and explained what was being done. The office is exceptionally clean and well run. Most importantly they really care for their patients, making sure that every aspect is presented in a calm and relaxed manner! Thank you for understanding my anxiety. You are all wonderful people!

Honestly probably the greatest dentist and anaesthetist I have ever been to. Dr. Komil bhalla and Dr bhalla (anaesthetist) both went above and beyond in providing treatment. They were even available after office hours too. I asked so many questions from anaesthetist and he cleared all of my doubts and worries. Dr komil was courteous professional and responsive pre procedure and post procedural questions. I have never met such wonderful doctors. They are ideal for paediatric dental procedures. Dental assistant was so kind in updating us all minute details of procedure during and afterwards.

The whole staff is so kind especially the ladies on the front desk (but like I said they’re all so kind and so helpful, and truly make sure you’re 100% comfortable.) None of the staff makes you feel uncomfortable and they truly make sure you feel great at the beginning, middle and end of your appointment. Will continue to come here for as long as I possibly can. Highly recommend!

I am SO happy with this dentist office! My 6 year old son had to have a lot of work done. He needed to be put to sleep in order to do this (plus he freaked out at another dentist with laughing gas). Dr Bhalla and her whole team were beyond amazing. They are so sweet and super accommodating. We knew it was going to be expensive for what our son needed, but never expected it to be as much as it was. Dr Bhalla went above and beyond to work with us and make it happen financially. We are so very grateful for them. My son seemed more comfortable with them as well (even let them put the mask on with no issues which was a huge thing for him). Also greatful that she was able to get him in as quick as she did. This whole team makes you feel very well taken care of and are very compassionate. Definitely recommend. We are actually wanting them to be our regular dentists for our whole family now:) Thank you again Dr Bhalla!

they always help make sure I'm calm, comfortable and ask if I need breaks. It is amazing to have a dentist that listens and respects me. And is helping me get my smile back. MM Family and Sleep Dentistry gets a 5 Star rating. PERIOD. At 62 years of age I have had the experience of a few Dental practices over my time. I was referred to MM from my primary Dentist to have two wisdom teeth removed. MM are the finest Dental Practitioners that you can find. That is a huge statement from a person who fears and hates going to the Dentist. Professional, spotless operation and fantastic staff. The experience starts right at the front door with two amazing ladies that welcome you. Efficient and thorough. They even have a sense of warmth and just the right sense of humor for their position. The two Doctors.husband and wife.reflect a true compassion for their work and expertise. Tremendously thorough and incredible "bed side" manner. A top notch representation of their profession. I would highly recommend the entire TEAM of MM Family and Sleep Dentistry.

You can't find a better place to bring your self or your children, all three of mine (who are now in their 20's) have been coming here since they opened. It's like bringing your children to a family member. They are excellent in their dentistry, but their caring attitude and the time they take to explain everything to everyone in the room is lovely. My kids have had root canal and wisdom teeth attended to here and the swelling and pain afterwards has been very minimal. Their follow up care is second to none and I couldn't imagine ever going anywhere else. I like that they include the parent with everything. I was able to sit in the room pre-surgery while the "sleepy pill" begins to kick in while we lowered the lights and listened to calm nature sounds. The whole process is as holistic as it is scientific. If you're considering sleep dentistry for your loved one then this is the place to go. The staff is sweet, professional, and as I said, like family to complete strangers. There is nothing stuck up or pretentious about this office, and everyone gets treated as an equal.

My daughter has been to several dentists and the visits always ended before sitting in the chair due to her anxiety. We visited the team and mm sleep dentistry and they were amazing. She now enjoys coming for cleaning etc. I can't say enough about the wonderful staff and experiences we have every time.

As someone with lots of anxiety visiting doctors, I highly recommend Dr. Cheema. He was very reassuring when doing the initial assessment of my concerns and also suggested ways to ease my anxieties during the dental procedures. I also really appreciated Dr. Cheema providing an educational breakdown of the state of my dental health, so I was more informed about how the problem arose and how to address the concerns in the future. The dental assistants and front staff were also very friendly which made the visits a little less daunting as well.

Great service! The dentist took the time to talk about what the procedure entailed and constantly checked my well being during the procedure. I have had some bad experiences with other dentists who seemed to just want to get me in and out of the chair as quickly as possible. My family love’s coming here!

Today was my second visit to this dental office. I highly recommend them for several reasons. All of the staff are extremely friendly, caring, helpful and knowledgeable. I haven't seen a dentist in 5 years due to financial reasons and not having any dental insurance. I have a lot of dental work a head of me but the staff offered me many ways to ensure I was/ would be comfortable. Also, they were a lot cheaper than my old dentist. Overall, my experience has been wonderful. I can actually say I'm looking forward to my next visit!

I have two young children attending Mm family dentistry; and without a doubt it has been a positive experience for all family members. We drive an hour away from our hometown to see this dentist, not only for major work, but also basic routine dental care. The staff has always been friendly, respectful, understanding, compassionate and amazing with children. My kids are at ease with the staff. The staff go above and beyond to ensure the children have a positive experience. From treasures, to choice to tv programs while having work done. The staff also ensure moms and dads are ok, with explaining what is going to happen, and not hiding anything. They are upfront about everything. They also ensure a follow up call on the patient when major work has been done. The staff care highly about patient treatment and care over money and politics, this can mean the world to a person/patient. They are always quick to bring in emergency patients, and have been outstanding during the Covid 19 changes. The clinic is clean, the staff wear all the proper PPE. I cannot thank this dental office enough for everything they have done with my family.

My first experience with Dr. Dharminder Cheema was very good. He tell me first what he was going to do before he does it, this puts me at ease as I know what was to be expected. My former dentist did not ever told me what they are going to do, this naturally makes me feel uneasy everytime they go in the mouth to do something. I believe if you are scared of going to the dentist, Dr. Cheema will put you at ease by letting you know ahead of time what he is going to do. He also explain clearly what you needed done before hand and will not hasetate to refer you to a specialist if needed. Would Recommended to every1.

My children are attending MM Family Dentistry and I must say Dr. Bhalla and her staff at this clinic are exceptional, kind and friendly. They make you feel like more than just a patient and children feel especially comfortable with the staff and all the extras they offer such as their choice of tv show to watch while getting treatment and small toys after the procedure. My daughter was previously scared of going to the dentist but once we came here she couldn’t wait to have her next cleaning. The staff is also patient and wonderful at explaining treatment to parents and what work needs to done. I feel comfortable asking questions and are receiving amazing care. I will highly recommend this clinic to everyone!

Never come here! They left my son outside spitting out blood because he had a abscess. All he needed was a script, they refused to even let us in because I questioned their unnecessary deposits that are required to get appointment. Healthy smiles covered everything and they still wanted a deposit. I was then told that the dentist could not identify an abscess and I needed to take my son to the hospital. Abscess are common and basic, any dentist can address that!
I’m extremely upset. Never been treated like trash like this in my life.

The staff and dental team were completely awesome in dealing with my 5 year old son. All steps of his treatment and after care were explained throughly to myself and his mom. Will highly recommend to family and friends.

Had severe pain and ended up going to this establishment yesterday specifically for sleep dentistry. I ended up needing a root canal and they scheduled me in for 9 am the very next day. Staff were extremely professional and showed compassion, realizing the need for special care for those who have high anxiety with dental procedures. COVID safety protocols were enforced and I felt safe. I highly recommend!

Absolutely love the team at MM dentistry. They are amazing with my 4 and 6 year old. Well worth the hour drive from my home town. They are gentle and understanding with my nervous children. Always explains everything they are doing to the kids so that they feel as comfortable as possible. Our most recent visit my younger daughter was very scared for her cleaning, the hygienist let her hold the tools to try and show her they weren't as scary as they seemed. 100 percent recommend.

I hadn't been to the dentist in 15+ years. I HAD to go (quad wisdom extraction in my thirties), and now I go all the time. Dr. Bhalla is great and so is her staff. Office is very family friendly. If you don't like the dentist, but accept that you have to go, go here:) Tell them Jeff sent you for a free toothbrush, tooth paste and floss (just kidding)

The two doctors who are the owner of the clinic were very rude with me and my 3 years old son which he’s his patient and he doesn’t want to refund me the $90 dollars that I deposit before the covid19 legally didn’t inform me and doesn’t have the form to resign the deposit that they don’t refund anymore while I was asking him that I signed before the covid19 crisis and you had plenty time to email me or send the form that I could sign if I agree and even now doesn’t have the form to be agree or not he refused to provide me and also waste my time and my wife too and he traded me that he call the police on me even though he didn’t ask me to leave the clinic, all I am saying he doesn’t have proficiency fate as dentists and I personally don’t trust him anymore to put my kids under the pressures because he only care about his benefits money please do not send your kids to him he has mentally issues and yelling on his client while I asked him to provide me the new form that it’s passed by health ministry if I agree that you won’t refund me the deposit, and he refused my son to take him.

100% a life changing dentist. I have had experiences with 3 of the dentists here and I am thrilled with each of them. I was in today, during COVID - and was slightly anxious, however the policies in place were through! I am elated that I have switched to this dentist over 1 year ago (I came in as an emergency and they were able to see me the same day!) I wish I could give them higher than a 5 star rating. I have been a client now for several years. Some dentist try to really guilt trip you if you are not flossing enough, and seem to go out of their way to cause extra pain. At MM Family they will remind you, but they won't guilt trip you. And they go that extra mile to make sure you are comfortable, so you don't start cancelling appointments and instead get the dental care you need.

When I emailed this office with an emergency issue, I was contacted personally by Dr. Bhalla who took my condition seriously from the start, even though I'd never been a patient with this office. Being pregnant adds an extra layer of fear and worry for any extra medications/dental work. Dr. Bhalla explained everything in great detail prior to any evaluations/procedures and made sure I was comfortable. Ultimately, I required an extraction, and again, everything was explained in detail before we began. Dr. Bhalla checked on me multiple times throughout the extraction to ensure everything was ok and I was comfortable. For some, this could be a traumatic procedure but I was at ease throughout and even received a check up call that day. This office cares about their work and their patients.

What can I say but WOW! I'm not a fan of going to the dentist but after running into some dental issues during Covid, I didn't have a choice. The level of care you get from this "family" is second to none. They treat you like you are part of the family! This husband and wife team make you feel comfortable and ease any anxiety you feel about having dental work. They provide different levels of sedation, depending on your personal needs They made me feel so comfortable, that I didn't need any sedation at all. As I have no insurance coverage, they also made my trip more affordable too. They have lovely administrative and support staff as well. I have had many dentists over the years and this one is second to none. I would recommend Dr. Bhalla to everyone!
