Mobile Klinik Professional Smartphone Repair - St. Catharines

What I wrote below (a review I left about a year ago) remains true, however, about 2-3 weeks ago I went back to the Pen Centre store to fix a new phone.

As was the case as before the service was spot on and deserving of 5 stars. Aries thank you for your help that day and your second to none customer service!

A week ago, I woke up to a phone that was plugged-in all night, only to find that it only had about 8% left on the battery. I ran the extensive diagnostics on the phone and quickly saw that the only 2 functions that it could not perform was plugging it in for charging or data transfer. I knew there and then it was the USB-C port that was the problem.

Shortly after noon, I called the Mobile Klinik location at the Pen Centre in St. Kitts as they were open on that Sunday. The much closer location to me is in the falls (I live in Fort Erie) but they wouldn't be open soon enough for my immediate need!

I gave the Pen Centre location a call and a very polite and professional fellow named Bryan answered my call and all of my questions. I told him that I would leave the Fort on that snowy Sunday afternoon and that I should be there in about an hour. 45 mins later, I got there, met Bryan and he went straight to work on my phone. He told me to go for a walk in the mall and that he would call me on my old phone when it was fixed.

He called me as promised, it was done in the time frame he promised and for the repair price he promised. My phone is working as good as new again and I can't thank Bryan enough!

Thank you again for displaying the lost art of great customer service and I won't hesitate to come see you again if necessary. You can bet that I will highly recommend Mobile Klinik (Pen Centre) and especially you to all of my friends, neighbors and family!

Horrible customer service. The employees here do not have listening skills, as they will write down all the wrong info and order the wrong part, even though you explain your issue to 2 employees. They will still not listen and say you explained your issue wrong. They want to waste your time. I had also gotten a battery replaced a couple of years ago here, and the phone broke in 2 months. If you go here, be ready to waste your time and deal with unapologetic employees. If I could rate this a zero I would.

Came in with a phone port that kept my chords loose when charging, cleaned and fixed within 10 minutes, friendly and efficient is a great combination!

EdIt: Came back with a similar issue after a few years and new phone, can only confirm that the place is fast, friendly and always helpful!

Super helpful! Had a hardware issue, the team there provided options and fixed the issue while I waited. So very much appreciated.

I expected them to charge crazy fees or be tricky about what I had to do, but the team was transparent, honest, and provided excellent service.

In my experience of being a customer at Mobile Klinik, they are professional and can help you answer any questions about your phone, especially Mike. Any questions you have go to him!

Really impressed with the service and customer care taking the time to explain necessary repairs. Check it out for all your cell phone needs they also sell some used phones too!

I received some sort of information on Facebook about them selling old phones. So I entered all pertinent information and the quote I got online said that they would buy my phone up to $25. Then I received an email that said they would give me an extra $10 if I turned in my old phone.so above and beyond that I went and called the store and explain to them that I had an iPhone 6 that I had asked for quote for online and whoever I spoke to at the store at the Pensinger told me yes bring in then and they will check to make sure everything works. I was completely and totally honest and explain to him that the battery was not good.a few days later, I went to the pen center and I walked into the store. There were three men all three of them on their phones, completely ignorant, and completely ignoring. When I said to them that I had a Phone to sell and I had been on their website. Their response was oh no we don’t buy iPhone 6. So can someone explain to me why I went through some thing online they gave me a sort investment on what I could possibly get for my old phone and then on top of that I called and whoever I spoke to told me no problem bring it in they just needed to make sure that everything else worked except for the battery. Then I will have the way through the Penn Center only to be dismissed by three guys sitting behind the counter doing absolutely nothing! I will never ever recommend this ridiculous company to anyone. Do not advertise and say that you will buy old phones and then all of a sudden change your mind and make someone that uses a cane walk all the way through a mall, thinking that this person is going to get probably maybe $20 or so for an old phone only to be dismissed.

My Iphone11 was rebooting on its own. I made an appointment. Alex and partner checked battery, no issues. Likely motherboard, consistent with tips on internet. I walked away with refurbished IPhone13 and Koodo plan with double everything and 25$ cheaper per month than my Telus plan, for 18$ up front. Other perks too numerous to mention. Service was great. Attention to detail on screen saver install - appreciated.

Went there to get my iPhone screen replace. When picking it up the home button wasn’t working but I accepted the phone anyways because the “tech” said that the home button has nothing to do with the screen.
30 min later the screen was full of lines and the colours disappeared. Went back to the place to get my money refunded and the manager in place (Alex) said that the phone didn’t leave the store like that, so there was nothing he could do.
His words were “it didn’t leave the store like that, so it means that you broke the screen”.
Do not deal with this store because if your phone ends up not working, you’re stuck with a broken phone.
All I wanted was my money back.
$160 in the drain.

Ron was exactly who I needed. He knew about my phone, my options and was quick to get me sorted out. Two thumbs up!

Ron is the absolute best! He helped my technology challenged dad set up with a phone & god bless Ron, as he has endured numerous calls from my dad about his new phone. He also set my kids up on new plan & they were absolutely thrilled with his customer service and humor. My go to from now on!

I went into the store to ask a question about my photo storage, Jordan was awesome and resolved the issue…I went back later with a new phone. He transferred my info from my old to my new. He is very fast and he has Great Customer service skills. Thanks again for your help! Cindy

I was a little Leary at first about shopping for a cell phone at a grocery store. I mean, c’mon, who buys steak, cheetos, leeks, AND a cell phone from the same place. Thankfully Ron was there to put my mind at ease. His knowledge and commitment to getting me what I needed really made my experience one to remember. I know where I’ll go the next time my cellular needs take the forefront.

I’d honestly do 0 stars for my experience thus far if I could. I took my partner’s phone here early September before school started after we noticed his brand new Samsung phone (we got a month and half prior) had stopped responding to touch and was “scrolling” on its own. Our phone provider recommend we try this company.
We took it here and they were incredibly kind and welcoming at first when we dropped off the device. However, once we had left (they told us 2-3 hours for diagnosis and repair) they had supposedly tested a new screen, but the phone continued to have the same issue with a new screen. Instead of contacting us with the number we left they waited to tell us when we came back a few hours later they then told us the issue meaning our phone was still not repaired and wanted to charge us for a screen that did nothing to aid this problem (wanted to charge a couple hundred). They never even showed us that the phone was still doing the ghost touches!
They explained that this was a motherboard issue. We had only had the phone for a short period of time with no major falls or other noticeable damage prior to this! They offered to order a motherboard in as they didn’t have one in stock to which they gave us his SIM card back so we could use his old phone for the time being. They told us 2 weeks max for the part to come in. Surprise it’s been almost 2 months and the part still isn’t here, not to mention they haven’t updated us on anything! I have called a few times just to understand what’s going on. Most calls of which they ignore or when they answer give me little to no information! We are paying for a phone that we can’t even use and they are being the most unhelpful here!
EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING! Called to tell them I am picking up the device as clearly they are of no help at this rate! The person on the phone said I could do it whenever I felt like it which felt rather condescending. Not to mention when we asked if we should leave the phone case with said phone they made a comment of “oh no those things tend to walk out of here unnoticed all the time” not something you really wanna hear from someone you are trusting you phone with! Ridiculously unprofessional. NEVER GO HERE you’ll regret it!

Great place for your phone repair! My wife broke her S22+ accidentally and these guys did an incredible job and it was all like brand new! You got a phone repair problem? They will fix you!

Mike was able to quickly and perfectly replace my phone screen! Absolutely amazing service. Mike was able to go above and beyond for me. Thanks again to Mike and the team!

Drove an hour to get here. Was told they had my part and time to do a repair. When I arrived, I was told they had no time and had expected me earlier than we had agreed upon. Person at the store was too busy talking to a cute girl to do his job.

A few months ago, this shop destroyed my 1500 samsung phone when they tried to fix a watersensor, and would not replace the phone they wrecked.

Do yourself favor - stay clear of this place!

Fast! Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G with broken screen. Expensive, but that is mostly because of the phone, not the repair. Very satisfied.

My 60 year old mom brought her iPhone to this store and they told her the phone no longer held warranty, they then charged her more than $400 for a repair. When she went to pick it up they told her they couldn't fix it and gave her money back. She went to Jump+ where they told her that her phone was actually still under warranty. They also did a diagnostic reading and showed her that Mobile Klinik caused more damage to her phone when they tried to repair it. They caused damage to her front camera and display to be specific, the battery was also compromised because of this. Now Jump+ won't touch her phone and Apple can't help because she didn't understand that Mobile Klinik is NOT an Apple authorized dealer - despite convincing her that they were of the same status as Jump+. Now, an iPhone 12 ruined later she knows the difference between Mobile Klinik and an actual Apple authorized dealer.
Please don't make the same mistake! This store advertises in a way that can confuse people of its affiliation with Apple and that puts them in a position to take advantage of those who don't know there is a difference. Sure, don't excuse ignorance but it's way worse to purposely attempt to deceive customers, break a phone, and then refuse to take responsibility.

Stopped in to have my phone checked due to being in water. They promptly opened it up and had a look at it for me. Very friendly and professional group in there, highly recommend them, Kelly

I went to mobile klinik in the pen center with a broken power button. They were awesome.fixed me up right away with a newbutton at mo charge. Bell was going to charge me 500. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Ordered a screen for my phone in an emergency situation, got a phone call that it was in and the manager repaired another phone with it! 24 hours before me leaving the country! Thank you!

I made an appointment on their website which asks specifically what is wrong with your phone? I answered that specifically my screen was cracked and that otherwise my phone worked perfectly. When I arrived on-time for my scheduled appointment they were distracted and asked if I could be helped. I responded that yes I had made an appointment to have my screen replaced. The employee then asked me what type of phone I had and I told him. He went and opened up a cupboard with screens inside and started searching. After a few minutes he came back and asked for my information (I reminded him that it was all in the appointment I booked on their website) so he then looked could look at the appointment I had scheduled in his computer. He then told me they didn't have the screen in stock and they would need to order it in. I asked him why someone did not call me to tell me this? He then again said that they were very busy and did not have time to call or order the screen. At this point I was so frustrated with the lack of empathy or customer service that I told them to just forget it and left. This company does not seem to care that my time is just as important as theirs. I guess that they have so much business they can afford to treat customers any way they like. I was so put off by my experience here that I will look to find someplace else to replace my screen or just live with the crack!

Alex was absolutely incredible, I thought I lost all my data and he was able to recover it and move it to my new device. He saved all my old photos and precious memories and I couldn’t thank him enough. Best service I’ve ever received cellular related.

Today i woke up to my phone not taking my password and saying its incorrect, i tryed everything i could to get it unlocked but to no avail, it got to the point of me thinking i have to factory restore my phone, so it took my phone here for a professional opinion, Alex was the person to help me and he was able to unlock my phone in like 10 minutes. So i wanted to give him a big thankyou for saving the day. This guy deserves a raise.

A NIGHTMARE! Took phone to get repaired they said it’d be ready the next day at 2pm get there and they say haven’t even started it come back at 5, lug around the mall till then go back still not done said will be done by closing, call an hour before and still not done. Say ok next day- they will not answer the phone have been calling all day! Called the mall operator who sits right across from their store right after said THEY HAVE NO CUSTOMERS RIGHT NOW. No knowledge of their phone not working. HOW RUDE is that? Why you not answer the phone? People have a hard time going without their phone nowadays there are plenty more repair shops around. DO NOT GO HERE, not trustworthy or honest and terrible customer service. And the kicker is—- the phone was ready since night before

Second time here, last time was for a screen repair and this time for water damage. Julian dealt with my screen repair last time and Alex took care of me today. Both gave great customer service and helped me solve my issues promptly and effectively. I likely would've had to buy a brand new phone if it wasn't for Alex's help today. Definitely recommend!

Kira is absolutely fantastic. She turned my entire day around by helping me out. It’s more than just a phone service that she offered. Her kindness and compassion made my day. There is a human side to fixing tech issues. She is everything I’d want in an employee at my business. Honestly this company shows that they care about their customer by having a star like Kira. Absolutely phenomenal service. One has to trust in people who fix phones and the people there in particular one gentleman was beyond honest and fair. I would never ever go anywhere else for phone service.

They fixed my waterlogged phone! And for cheaper than the cost of a new phone! Unfortunately I probably should have just bought a new phone as there were still problems with it after the fix, but hey it works now and it was all I could afford. There are definitely times when you should repair rather than replace, though I'd be cautious with fixing water damage because it can still have lasting effects (something they did warn me about here).

Great service. Staff very knowledgeable. Fixed my samsung a50 very quickly because he knew the quirks of said cell. Authorized samsung dealer. Highly recommend.

My new go to repair people. Second time the have either fixed the un-fixable or gone the extra mile to trying to repair. Highly recommend. Diagnostics free. So it should be your first call. I am hard on phones, btw

Best and cheapest place for mobile repairs. Your bill is always lower than expected and your repair is almost always complete before the estimated time.

Giving 5 star clearness, friendly, once with no apparent, set up my s9 cell short time only, but need call make appointments they fix almost every thing if not very honest tell you can't be fix try them first call ahead.

After dropping my Samsung phone I was really worried my pics would be lost forever when my phone wouldn't turn on! I had some sentimental ones of a family trip and of my grandmother who had passed that I didn't want to loose. The guys at Mobile Klinik were so professional from the very moment I called. They took my phone in the same day and immediately got to work in diagnosing the problem. The prices were absolutely fair and the work was excellent, not only did they replace my screen they also checked to see if other repairs were needed. Very satisfied with the service here from these guys! Would highly recommend. I will also say, if your a person like me who is also worried about your personal information being compromised If you leave your phone at a sketchy repair shop, you have piece of mind and no worry when you take it to Mobile Klinik! The gentleman I dealt with, Emerson, was knowledgeable, friendly, and courteous. He fixed my phone quickly, was happy to answer all my questions regarding the repair. I can't say enough good things about this business, and about their employee, Emerson, in particular.

Had an amazing experience today at Mobile Klinik Penn Centre location today. Have an iPhone XS that had a software issue where the screen was frozen. We tried everything but couldn’t get it restart. Went to the Klinik and met the nicest and most friendliest young gentleman there. He immediately payed us attention and right away new what the problem was. Took the phone and run through diagnostic and was able to fix the phone in less than an hour. Absolutely amazing service. The most friendliest as well. After everything was done and we were ready to pay, but the gentleman there refused to charge anything. Nothing at all. We were so surprised and pleased with such a friendly service. We will and also highly recommend everyone else to bring their business there. Truly 5 star service. Thank you guys!

I forget the guys name who I dealt with but he was amazing. I thought it was my battery and it wasn't so he didn't replace it. Saved me tons of $$$ and was very honest. Will always go back here anytime I have a cellphone problem!

My phone has been giving me trouble for several months until I couldn't even make a phone call. Emerson was very responsive and offered to back up my phone at no charge. He then too time to explain to my husband and I how to back up our other Apple devices. I had been told at several other places that the phone was not fixable and I should get a new one. This was my last shot before giving up totally. I would recommend Mobile Klinik and particularly Emerson in a heartbeat.

September 4th they claimed to order my part. Said it would be in on the 8th. I called them on the 11th - guy told me there's a delay (seemed too busy to actually look into it) and not to call, they'd call me. I called again on the 19th, no record of me. Said they need to order the part. Zero faith in this company.

Thank you to Manav who fixed my phone which wouldn't let me text or phone or receive either. No charge and saved me having to buy a new phone, very grateful for that. If I get another problem will go to them straight away.

Visited this shop for the first time on Sunday. It's true what I was told about them. "if they can't fix it, no one can". Great service! Highly recommend!
