Model Nails

I like the finished nails but was way too expensive and lady was so rough she made 3 of my fingers bleed on my left hand. The nail tech didn't talk to me at all, only to her coworkers the whole time. Unfortunately I don't think I would go again, as this wasn't my usual nail salon is so much nicer, cheaper for same quality, and doesn't leave my fingers hurting after.

They used to be good now with every visit its getting worst the only reason i go back its right across from my house. The staff is rude when you point out there mistakes and they are not even willing to fix it.

I am beyond impressed with our service I took our 4 year old daughter for her first time and they were amazing with her, so patient and they made her laugh the entire time she had a blast and we will definitely be back again! My gel nails look amazing and my daughters are so cute as well! Very friendly and affordable:)

My nails are uneven, crooked, my nails are all significantly different lengths and different shapes

Unfortunately I went in as I was on a time crunch, but I should’ve looked at the other reviews thoroughly. I did a pedicure and they cut way too much cuticle so now I am left with a very inflamed and sore toe. They were not consistent with what they were doing and everything was done in random order, like they started filing then soaked my feet after (almost like they had no clue what they were doing). Do yourself a favour and read the reviews, there is a reason why ratings are so low.

I walked in to get a full set of acrylic nails and they are PERFECT, she was so fast I was finished in 30 minutes. I could not believe it, outstanding work!

Love this place, Katie always, always does such a good job. I’m very happy for the service she does!

Use to be impressed with the services at model nails. I will not go back and neither will my wife. When you set an appointment you keep it. Making a customer wait 25 mins past their appointment time with 0 communication or apology. Is not except able. Lost 2 regular customers!

First time here, great service, very clean and very professional location. Quality through and through.

I love it here! I recently moved to London and I tried about 5-6 different nail solons before I found Model nails. The staff is always so friendly and they are great conversationalist. I get Maya to do my nails always and she never disappoints! 10/10

I'm obsessed with my nails! I walked in today with no appointment and they were able to accommodate both pedi and refill. I will definitely come back.

I came to this salon cause it was highly recommended by my friends but I was very disappointed with the outcome. The girl shaped all my nails bad & did a terrible job with the a bio gel fill as she made them so uneven. I’m pretty sure she charged me for a new set of bio gel as well cause I paid $70 for white gel with hearts on my nails. She also made me bleed & didn’t try to stop the bleeding or wipe it with alcohol so my finger got infected. She was so rude & didn’t seem to take the time to make sure she was doing my nails properly. I’ve heard that the male staff are a lot better at nails. I was so flustered that they did a terrible job I just paid & left. Never coming back here. Not worth what I paid.

Too rushed I felt like. Depends on the person you get I think. Experience seemed expensive for the way the lady rushed through my pedi and mani wasn’t that relaxing

As a male just walking in for some work on nails it went well. I've had more care and time taken on me but the visit accomplished what I was looking for. The other customers around me seemed to have to ask a second time for things they requested.

I went here this past Friday night at 6pm, I did not have an appointment so I was pleased they could accomodate, the place was steady, but not busy. I chose a colour, went to sit at the pedicure chair and the water was ice cold, they asked if it was warm and I said no, so they put the hot tap on full blast, making the water uncomfortably warm, they did not check the temp.

As soon as the basin filled the woman tapped for my feet to be put up and she began trimming the cuticles, which hurt as they hadn't soaked. She only clipped 2/10 of my toe nails. Each step of the pedicure she took was literally less than ten seconds spent, the nail filing was almost non existent, the scrubbing was about 10-seconds per foot, the (don't know the name for it, looks like a cheese-grater haha) was again, about 10 seconds per foot. After applying the green scrub and lotion which from start to painting was about 2 minutes she started applying the polish, I absolutely couldn't believe it. She spent about 3 minutes applying polish and just walked away. I sat in the chair for another six minutes and then she came over, touched my big toenail then said I was done and could pay.

I believe the "pedicure" was $35, plus taxes, I couldn't see an option for no tip, so I chose the lowest option for 10% so in total it cost me just under $42 for a 5 minute pedicure and a 6 min wait for drying. It was not relaxing and was overall a very unsatisfactory experience, I will never go back. The woman who did my pedicure overall just had the vibe of not caring less, didn't want to be there, that doing the pedicure was the last thing on earth she wanted to be doing. This was not a relaxing experience, my nails are rough and drag against my bedsheets and my feet still have dead skin on them because she didn't file, grate (for lack of a better word) or really do anything but the most perfunctory attempt lasting less then 10 secs/foot with each implement. So dissapointing, and a huge let down. My feet don't look or feel good.

I did not complain in person as this was meant to be a relaxing experience for me and I don't like conflict. Also, everything was over so quickly I was shocked, I've never had such a bad pedicure, I'd say it was more of a polish change, except I had no polish on my toes. I will not return and I will be sure to read reviews before my next pedicure, just wanted to let other people know about my experience. I'd say it was poor value, low professionalism and work ethic/pride in their work.

*Also, they did not ask my name, phone #, no covid screening, vacciner certificate, contact tracing at all.

Really good service and friendly staff. I loved my foot and calf massage and I usually am not a fan of them at mail salons. Everyone in my group was satisfied with the service and results, especially the 9 year old birthday girl!

Unfortunately broke a gel nail and went in for a repair. I really didn't understand the cold treatment and was told it is impossible to break.but I did break it obviously? Then she couldn't find the colour that I even remembered the number. Was it about money? I will pay for the fix just don't be rude and difficult.

I went for a pedicure. I had been when they first opened years ago, I will not go back. The service started with very hot water. I indicated it was too hot so she filled it with cold water. Not once did she check the temperature. Not a pleasant start. Very little product added to soak feet. The girl was far too aggressive in pushing and cutting cuticles. It was very painful and now my big toe is swollen for cutting cuticles too deep. She did not exfolloliate my heels properly or sufficiently. It seemed she was rushing the service and it was during a weekday so no one waiting. I asked for a design and she would not let me explain or show what i wanted. She decided it would be a flower and the colour.

I've always gotten a great set here - it sometimes depends who I get, but most of the girls are professional and talented!

Finished product looks decent but customer service really sucks. Seems very unorganized and expensive!

I’m a guy and I got a mani and a pedi. My wife goes here all the time because she says the prices are cheap and the shellac last forever so I gave it a try.

My pedicure was ok. Got most of the dead skin off, nothing special but nothing bad. Felt very rushed the entire time.

The bad part was the mani. They switched people to an older woman who was very rough. Cuticles were done ok, again nothing special. But the nails, wow, horrible and uneven, like I could have done a better job in my bathroom rushing to go to work. They looks seriously messed up - I had to refile them when I got home! And before I could even ask her for a neutral clear coat she rubbed them off with oil and sent me on my way.

The best part was when I went to pay and the owner was super pushy for a tip, pointing out where I leave a tip of the machine. Yeah guy I know where it is but you have to earn it. Almost this messed up sense of entitlement to a tip.

Decent nail salon! If you want nail design, I don't think this place is great for design cuz I don't think they don't have the time for it. Go to different nail salon that would do design. I would do a simple design that sparkling on the ring fingers or simple lines or simple flower. But for deisgn like marble or ombre. I don't think they have the tools to do it! My shellac had been almost for a week, no chipped or anything wrong. Just get the correct person who take the time and asked they name, so next time you come by asked to booked with.

If I could rate less I would, the staff were rude, we went in with gift cards for mani and pedis. I decided I didn’t want a pedicure so I asked if I could get acrylic nails instead they said yes and said it would be an extra $15 they then asked if I wanted shellac so I said yes and the lady didn’t give my mom a choice and said I’m putting shellac on your nails at the end they charged me and my mom an extra $60! They laughed at us then told us that we should have looked at the prices when we came in instead of saying we are putting shellac on your nails and it will be this much extra. We will never go back

These people are scam artists as far as I’m concerned. Worst experience ever.
My husband gave my daughter and I a gift card to Modle Nails for Christmas, what a perfect gift for a mother daughter day.
I booked an appointment and when we got there my daughter decided she would prefer to get a set of acrylic nails, I asked if we could use her gift card for that instead.they said no problem and told my daughter it would be $15 extra on top of the GC which she was more than happy to pay.
I get my mani/pedi she gets her nails done, we go to the counter and I give my gift cards and I’m told I owe $59 dollars.
I stoped and said excuse me!? !? I just gave you two gift certificates. Then she proceeds to tell me because we got shellac polish it’s extra.
I wasn’t given a choice, I picked my colours for my toes and when it came time to do my nails she said I’m going to do shellac.never mentioned it was extra.
After getting vet upset I asked to speak to the manager who proceeded to laugh at me and tell me I should have checked the price when I came in.
They offered nothing to diffuse the situation basically too bad you’re out of luck!
I will never step foot in that place again, charging a discusting amount of money for a simple mani/pedi is mind blowing to me! I really hope people read these reviews before choosing these scam artists!

Awesome spot, I bring my girls here for a special date and it is cheap and they treat them very well.

Depends on who you get, some of the older ladies rush and don't care.they over charge me when i pay cash.and they 100% do not clean anything.all the equipment is covered in old nail dust.ive never ever seen anything cleaned here, and i've been coming since they opened

Me and my family have went to model nails for the last 3 years I generally try to go at least once a week even though I could go some place cheaper the last few times I’ve went the staff has been rude and ignorant the one woman assumed I was pregnant just because I recently got engaged, always asks if my purses is fake, the staff talks in Chinese making fun of me as they do my nails (the woman confirmed my theory today) but today was the straw that broke the camels back I went in yesterday to get my usual done tried telling the lady what I’d like done even tried showing her a picture she just kept saying “yea yea I know what u want” she started and talked on the phone most of the time and by the time she was done it was far from what I had expected but I paid and went about my business hating my nails I figured I’d go back today and tell them my issues figuring a loyal customer of 3 years they’d try to help but the same lady who had done my nail started telling me that I was lying and that I wasn’t allowed to talk to the owner I wasn’t trying to make a scene I was talking quitely she started raising her voice so bad that finally the manager came out from the back finally telling her everything she agreed with me and was apologizing but until she get new staff members I will be taking my business elsewhere

Took my 5 year old daughter for a mommy daughter date. Horrible service. After they finished our nails we sat with our hands in front of the heater for over 25 minutes. Until I got up and walked up to the cash. Stood there for 5 minutes as they all looked at me. I paid and got “you don’t want to give tip” I said yes a verbal one. If you have plenty of ladies walking around doing nothing (as there were only 2 other customers) probably would benefit before taking another customer to check on the previous one! Horrible and would not recommend!
