I got my computer repaired today in a matter of minutes. This service was quick which was great. While he was fixing and explaining the detail about the diagnosed to me. The rates were reasonable. My computer is back and running and I'm so happy I do recommend this service for your computer. Five stars from me.

My computer was stuck in a bad boot loop and Alejo fixed my laptop within 5 hours on the same day for a very reasonable price. Thank you, you truly helped me out so much! I was very stressed and now my laptop is so fast and smooth once again.

My computer failed at 3: 45pm. I called Alejo and asked for immediate help. He said he would call back in 5 minutes. He called back in 3 minutes, and I dropped my computer off at 4: 15 at his remote site at his condo. He texted me at 7: 45pm and I picked up a working computer at 8pm. I was so pleased that my computer could be repaired remotely. It was very convenient and felt confident. My daughter recommended him and it worked out great.

The spacebar on my laptop had stopped working and within 2 hours of initial outreach, my laptop had been dropped off, repaired and picked up again. Overall, a very efficient and pleasant process and saved me the hassle of going through the warranty process or replacing the keyboard all together. Highly recommend - handed my laptop to Alejo at 730pm and it was ready 6pm next day. Laptop was not able to turn on but it is all fixed now. Alejo was highly communicative and quick to respond. Great service - thanks so much.

My laptop required to have its SSD and internal HDD changed. Alejo was of great help first giving me links to quality products and communicating with me beforehand. He also did a great job replacing the drives as well as setting Windows in the language of my choosing as asked. The only thing that makes it a 4 stars (or 4 and a half) instead of 5 is that I was under the impression it would be a same day fix and instead took longer than I envisioned (most likely due to outside circumstances). Nonetheless, I highly recommend this place.

I was a bit reluctant to go here instead of a true store, but I'm glad I listened to the other good reviews! My hard drive was very nearly dead, but Alejo managed to salvage most of my files, then went above and beyond and repaired my hard drive and cleaned the inside of my computer as well. All in less than 24 hours! He stayed in constant contact with me via text the whole time and didn't charge above what he initially quoted me, even after doing the extra work. I'd highly recommend coming to him instead of a box store!

This place is cheap, fast, and better than anywhere else (like bestbuy). My desktop was crashed in this morning and modern pc repairs have fixed it within 30 minutes. If you are looking for cheap and fast with good quality repair, this is the place!

Modern PC fixed my 2010 MacBook Air and I now have MacBook for a few more years. The battery had exploded (top right of the picture) which was causing my keyboard and laptop case to warp and expand. I readonline that this was unsafe as it could cause a fire or leak. I also couldnt use the MacBook without plugging it in to a power outlet. I brought it to the Apple store where I was told that they did not fix that issue and since it was an old laptop, they suggested I purchased a new one (over $1,000).

I contacted Modern PC repairs and they fixed my laptop within 1 day. The only thing I had to do was order a new battery through Amazon, which Modern PC told me exactly which one to purchase. Additionally, they miracoulously installed OS Catalina which, as I understand, can not be installed in MacBooks from before 2015.

In summary, Modern PC was responsive, fast, professional, and asked for a fair price. I would 100% recommend to anyone.

Alejo is professional, friendly and extremely helpful. Don't be turned off by the fact that he works out of his home. Modern PC is as professional and serious about their work as any computer repair company I've ever worked with. The small conference area off his lobby means you have every opportunity to test his work (with free wifi) and discuss any concerns without having to worry about being in someone's home. He fixed my issue, made my computer run and look like new, and gave me the tools to ensure it stays that way. I highly recommend Modern PC to anyone with software issues.

No exaggeration to say, if you got any technical problems with your device, "Modern PC Repair" and Alejo would be your best choice you could ever wish for, especially since many stores are not open due to COVID-19, but this does not affect its operation and efficient at all. Remote examination, professional attitude and high speed finding out issues and repairing it in the first time. I was close to the address, so I delivered my laptop to Alejo himself, he even helped me clean and maintain the laptop from the inside out for free. So if anyone can make your device repaired perfectly, it must be him and his "Modern PC Repair"!

I highly recommend Modern PC Repairs! I was looking for a remote repair out of Toronto because of COVID-19 so I called and Alejo was able to help me right away. He has been very professional and thorough with fixing my PC issues and even offered to help me with additional things for no extra charge. He gave me tips on how to preserve my battery life. I thought he was very affordable.

Very quick service at the advertised price. Same day turn around after I had issues with hard drive partitions on a dual booted laptop. Clear, friendly, and quick communication the whole way through. Cleaned my computer with Lysol, too.

Aside from that, here is what I wish I knew before coming here:

The business operates out of a residential condo building so you'll wait in the lobby downstairs while he takes your computer upstairs. Not a big deal - it's a nice lobby and there is not much confidential information on my PC.

The deal breaker for me is Alejo does not provide professional receipts so I had some issue having the expense approved by my company. If you plan on coming here for a service that will be reimbursed, consider otherwise if you need real receipts.

It was a wonderful experience with Modern PC repairs. Alejo is a nice guy with big passion on fixing computer. He will do whatever he can to run your computer well. This is our first time to repair our laptop and we think he is the best. If you have any problems with your PC or laptop, just bring it to him. You will never feel disappointed.

Alejo worked so hard to repair my laptop and did it at a reasonable price. He tried every trick in the book before finally deciding to fully reset the laptop. I am completely satisfied with the quality of workmanship and professional service I was provided by Modern PC Repairs. I had a complete computer crash on my hands to the point where the computer would not turn on. Everything was found, restored and reinstalled in a timely manner for very reasonable price point. Definitely worth every dollar, all my data and files were returned and I was provided with tips on what to do in the future. Guy is a complete joke. $85 just to have him "look" at it. Then says there will be another $45 diagnostic fee and still more for his time and possible software needed. Was very rude and condescending. Didnt even sound like he knew what he was talking about. Just a scam artist with slight IT knowledge.

Absolutely great and fast service. My PC stopped working, Alejo was available right away and fixed it and recovered my documents in less than 24hrs. I appreciated he was very upfront about the cost and timeline and I found the price reasonable for the speed and quality of the service. He also gave me a few good tips on how to take care of my laptop. Definitely recommending his services!

Alejo went above and beyond for me.

I needed to reinstall the OS, a much more difficult job because I didn't realize how badly my neglect had trashed my laptop. First, he got it done fast, dropped it off Thursday, got it Friday, I would have happily waited for Monday or so, no problem. Then, he kept me up to date on the progress, he hid nothing. Next, even though it was Friday night, 9 pm and he'd been closed for an hour (and I totally would've been cool to wait - we all need our weekends), he put his personal plans on hold to make sure it was totally done (file transfer took awhile) and even walked me through it.

And he didn't just reinstall the OS, doing the bare minimum. He physically cleaned my computer, added some helpful utility programs and made sure my hard drive was not on death's door. This thing runs like it's 2012 again.

He's an indie computer repair guy, he's really chill and friendly (reminds me of a friend of mine), he knows his stuff, is fast and he charges super reasonable, what else do you need?
