My brother and family recommended that I shop at Modern Sense Furniture, because they bought several of their home decor pieces from there. I got a new dining set delivered 5 days ago, just in time for my family to move into our new apartment. We’re glad as we got our hands on some very quality stuff.

I purchased a dining table, dining chairs, sectional, accessories and mirrors. Sales rep was very helpful and friendly she was very informative. We were being updated on delivery and delays the shipping department were friendly and kind absolutely loved their attitude. My little pup enjoyed the attention he was getting!

Please do not use this Furniture store. We had purchased furniture in January and we were told it was going to arrive in March or April. We are nearing the end of August and still no Furniture. When you finally get through to someone. You never receive a straight answer from any of the staff or Management. So here was are 8 Months in going into 9 Months This is truly a Horrible and disappointing experience. I would need to question the business practices of this company.

Bill, I apologize on behalf of the truck driver for blocking half of your driveway, but they quickly acknowledged their mistake and removed their truck. As the owner, I regret any inconvenience caused. On a positive note is that Sagar's team did a great job with delivery and installation, and they cleaned up very thoroughly afterward. Many thanks.

Worst store and worst experience, they think they can fool the customers by taking orders and huge advances and then not let the order deliver for more than eight months.
Please do yourself a favour, read all the reviews before going to the store and blocking your money.
All the staff does is telling you random stories and then they tell you that the advance can’t be refunded.

If I could give them 0 star, I would. We ordered furniture in December last year for my brothers wedding. We still don’t have furniture till now, it’s almost an year now, They keep telling us 2 weeks every time we call. This is the worst furniture store with worst customer service.

I visited 30 plus stores for furniture of my office chairs and ended up randomly landing here. I have no words to explain how flabbergasted and amazed i was with their furniture range.
They had the most unique things one would dream of having in there home.

Visited the showroom 2 months ago a sales reps approached my wife and I and she was helping us with the selection of sofabeds.ordered a custom piece told us that it would be completed by end of august but i actually got the delivery today so much earlier that expected.we are so happy with the whole service! They have been amazing throughout

They have wide range of products which you would not get from other furniture stores, they charge premium but very poor customer services. The funny part is that you are paying the premium price plus delivery charge which for me is weird. All companies give free Delivery services. The amount of premium they are making they don't want give delivery is an compliment.
Indeed dissatisfied with the approach how they handle customers.

Manager of the store refusing to process a refund on a dining table bought as part of $10000 worth of furniture. My delivery is scheduled for next February, where I bought 2 months ago. I told her that we've just saw and experienced an injury of a young toddler running around and hitting a table of this profile (thin surface profile). The child had a few stitches because he was cut by the corners of type of thin surface. We were concerned for the kids and hence decided to request a refund on that dining table that was not even delivered.

She mentioned during my purchase that it is a regular stock item and not special order, thereafter now it is not refundable. I asked for the situation to be escalated to the owner of the company, she basically told me, I cannot guarantee that the owner will want to talk to you, you can talk to me. This is a company with ironclad clauses on an item that's not special order and "undelivered". Definitely would not recommend.

Super dissapointed, terrible experiance. Spent over 10K on dining set and they delivered a wrong color, tried to reach them out numerous times and we still can't get the one we wanted! They refused to make a refund and blaming manufacturar. The worst store ever.

I wish if I can give them 00 STAR This is the worst place that I have ever bought something from, their employees are irresponsible, and liars and the management are horrible.their products are expensive, and you are treated like a trash, they damaged my sofa and told me it is my responsibility. I can write a book about the way I was treated I swear to GOD.not recommending in a million of years, also the delivery guys are rushing, i do not understand YOU SHOULD NOT DO THAT specially when you are handling expensive items. I am sick and they made my situation really worse I HATE THEM SO MUCH ': (- ALSO if the product is going to take 15 weeks do not lie and 6 weeks just tell the truth instead of stealing people money and playing around.

Went for a Bernhardt sofa and found it on display. We just had some help selecting the colours we wanted. Maria was very patient and understanding. She understood what I wanted and helped me convince my husband that the beige would look nicer than the Grey in our space. I am looking forward to get my sofa delivered

I bought a $7000 dollar couch and a $12000 couch with warranty from this place.the mechanism stopped working after 3 months which I asked them to fix under warranty. I've been waiting 5 months for them to fix it.
Save your $$$$$ do not buy furniture from here.

I'm always on the lookout for one-of-a-kind items to help me renovate and modify the aesthetic of my houses. Modern Sense is one of my favourite places to shop in Toronto. The prices are a little more than average, but it is well worth it. I go there for new things every season and have always had a positive experience.

I have been looking for a daybed to put in my home office for a while. Found a couple of option from Innovation but this one stole my heart. It is exactly what I was looking for. The quality is great and the size was exactly what I was looking for. They have a lot of great office pieces that are game changing, highly recommend.

I saw this beautiful wire dining chair on their instagram. I wanted to get it right away but with CoVID we were a little hesitant to visit the showroom. However, after a year, we finally decided to visit and I found it on display but in a different colour. I bought it right away and go it delievered to my apartment last week. I am happy with my overall purchase and experience.

Found their billboard while I was shopping in the design district. I took the drive and totally fell in love with their products. They have so many sofas on display, I was looking for an L shape large sectional and fell in love with the cloud. I got it delivered today in white fabric and I am very happy with my order and how the delivery went.

I went for an interior design consultation, Maria was able to help me select the living room furniture, she then came to my house to have a look at the layout and confirm the product select. We just received our furniture today and very happy with the look. We are looking to design more rooms with Maria

Was looking for a BDI TV stand called the Tanami. Before going there I knew the lead time, I just wanted to see the colour swatch. Was able to finalize the colour with the help of Tania. The delivery was gonna take 8 weeks, but I guess I was lucky to get it within 6 weeks. They delivered it yesterday and assembled it. I love it

I posted a review on Modern sense furniture about 2 weeks ago. 2 hours after it was on the internet someone called us to tell us they were going to look into it and asked to take down the post while they find a remedy. I did take it down. I will rewrite the original post:

"My wife and I purchased a lot of furniture and decor items from this store. A week ago our glass dining table top we purchased approximately 5 years ago exploded in a million pieces. The table top was about 40" x 92" x 3/4" thick. When I say exploded, we found pieces everywhere on our first floor, our chairs are damaged, our floor is scratched and dented, a window blind is finished and I even found a piece of glass stuck in the wall. Luckily nobody was near by but it made a lot of noise.

We contacted Modern sense furniture immediately. They say the manufacturer told them the glass top must have been hit many times with a lot of force. Well nothing of that sort happened. We took very good care of this table. This product is extremely dangerous. I am so grateful nobody was injured by this incident. The only thing they are willing to do is for us to pay for another glass top. I don't think so.

I guess we will not be buying from a store that doesn't stand behind their products anymore. "

Conclusion:

The manufacturer is still not doing anything and the store is offering us a credit of $450. We have to buy a new table, new chairs, new blind and refinish the floor. We paid $3000 for the chairs alone. I don't think the credit is reasonable for the amount we are going to spend to replace and fix.

We won't go back.

Bought a leather sectional from their store, my kids love it and it fits us all. It was a floor model in clearance, got it the same week

Found the store through a billboard and I am very happy that I did. The sofa on the billboard was very unique and got our attention, we decided to stop by and have a look. Loved a dining table that was marble and out of the ordinary. We bought it few weeks ago and it just got delivered yesterday. Happy with how things went and my purchase.

Passed by the store few days ago to get a ceramic dining table. The one I found was made in Canada and exactly what I was looking for in terms or size. I bought the floor model.

I have been shopping around for dining chairs for a while. Trying to find that perfect fit for my dining table which we bought with a very weird height. The journey has been challenging as most dining chairs we found are shorter than what we wanted. I told the lady who helped me my problem and she well listened and was able to show me other options that could work. I bought one chair to test at home and voila I found it. I went back to buy another 6. She made my life so much easier. Thank you!

Mani helped me few months ago in purchasing my custom Stressless chair. It arrived a week sooner than anticipated and was ready for pick up. The delivery department contacted me and I went to the warehouse. The guys were very helpful and friendly, they managed to get the chair inside my car. Very pleased with my purchase.

5 months ago, I purchased a Caracole couch. 2 days ago, it was delivered to me. We fell in love with the colour we chose with Maria's guidance.

Great experience, the store smelled so good. It was the first impression I had when I walked in. I can still smell it, we went on the weekend, the store was packed but people were respectful with the social distancing and everyone was wearing their masks. A beautiful lady helped us, her name was Maria. If you go to the store, you should talk to her, very friendly and even though she was very busy. She managed to help us get the pieces we wanted, we purchased a beautiful low queen bed, it took us sometimes and it was overwhelming with all the customization colours, so we decided to go with the colour we saw in another bed on display. We are set to receive it in the October. So excited about that

Very bad experience bought 2 desk chairs by 2k and I have not heard from them in a month so I called to follow up they told me they are in shipment we do not know when the shipment will arrive yet and then after 2 days calling us saying oh they are sold out we will send you other options or refund and so far they did not send the options not the refund very bad customer service they keep u on hold for 30 min because they forgot about u

I found the store through a Stressless ad, visited them and loved the Stressless collection they have. Bought 2 chairs from them. Very happy!

This is one of the few stores in Toronto that every time I visit, I find something new and interesting. I have furnished two apartments from there. I love their sofa beds very comfortable. You can play around with the colors which is a plus for me honestly. Just to have the flexibility of choosing what I want. I was very pleased with our Sales rep, she was friendly and informative (didn’t not get bored of the too many questions we have asked). I will highly recommend

It is without hesitation that I recommend Modern Sense and his team. It isn't often that a product exceeds my expectations but in this instance I was blown away by the quality of the product and the process. My wife and I recently purchased a leather full motion sofa and loveseat from Modern Sense. We had been looking for some time and knew exactly what we wanted. We had been literally everywhere, including lots of "High End" retailers. Mary B.and Manny were honest, knowledgeable and professional in their dealings with us. We received our set earlier than expected. A special thank-you goes out to Fred and Jason the two movers who delivered our furniture. It was raining throughout delivery day. Fred and Jason not only made sure that our set was carefully brought into our house, they were very diligent in respecting the existing furniture and interior of our home. Walked in today looking for a Master bedroom set. To my expectations, I was blown away when walking in to the Showroom with the extravagant selection they had. I spoke with Shawn and he helped me find what I was looking for and on top of everything he was able to fit my budget as well. I’m very satisfied by the quality and end result of the product and will definitely be coming back!

I’ll definitely come back to this store to get more pieces for my bedroom soon. I always love to visit the showroom, they have such an eye-catching selection!

During the pandemic we were looking urgently for furniture to buy as we have just moved to the city when everything closed. We contacted the store online to see if there is any way we could get our thing at least the basics to survive in a new apartment. We were blessed to find good pieces that fit in the new space available in stock and we were able to get them right away.

I have mixed feeling about this store because I really do love the couch that I got from them, but I hated the fact that I spent over $20K on my couches, it was delayed several times, in the end they told me that one of the couches was out of stock and they couldn't even provide it to me, they refunded me the money for that one, but it was months after waiting for my couches! The product is great, but their service needs to improve!

If you are looking for modern contemporary designs this is your one stop location. I have shopped at many store like Elte and Mobilia. I have not got the wrath I found at Modern Sense. For some reason, this store is very close to my heart. I find the people working there very humble and interested to help you find what you look for.

I am a very picky customer, who can't be satisfied easily. It took me months making a decision on my furniture and I'm glad it did. Because the only place that was patient with me for months in Modern Sense. It was a yonge lady who helped me, we kept getting message back and.forth until I found what I'm looking for. I love my furniture.

The only reason I went there is because this was the only store that had a sofa bed I was looking for in stock. Everything else was disappointing.

1. The staff person who was assigned to help me looked like she was almost annoyed by the fact I wanted to buy something;
2. No option for just delivery. They charge ridiculous price for delivery and assembly - around $200 to get delivery to Toronto midtown. I had to bargain to get it down to $100 for just delivery;
3. Had to stay home all day because delivery was delayed several hours without any notice. Had to call them twice to ask for updated times;
3. They have no return policy and you don't even have a chance to check furniture for any damage;
4. They couldn't send me an email invoice 3 times I asked.

I’ve been shopping here for years. Every time I come here, I never leave empty handed. I always get compliments on the furniture I buy here and the quality is great. Highly recommend!

I furnished my home from here. Never had problems with the store or the staff. I actually enjoyed being helped by Maria. She was very friendly and informative. She helped me select contemporary, minimal items which I'm totally in love with. In the delivery time, we had a delay which was a responsible one week because of there was a strike with in the railway. I appreciated the communication, we were up to date with the store in regards to our products. I will highly recommend the store for my friends and family.t

Amazing Tonin Casa collection. Knowing that they are the only carriers of this Italian brand in toronto. I bought the Firenze dining table with 4 leather chairs.
