Monks Chocolates

This is a wonderful location, great chocolate treats (expensive), but I prefer real ice cream over gelato. Lots of gelato but only soft served ice cream.

Amazing flavors of Gelato (hello oreo filling!) and some wonderful chocolate. Tastes fantastic, and there is something for everyone. Also some really great gift options!

Amazing homemade family gelato! Hidden gem. Amazing service. My husband had lemon salted caramel. I had pineapple, banana and chocolate. Lovely! Bought a piece of the dark choc bark as well and it’s very tasty. I’m an ice cream connaseur and I highly recommend!

They have great gelato and great ice cream. The lines can get a little long at times, but that's only because of the great ice cream they serve. Service is also prompt and polite. I take my kids there as often as I can.

On the same day we were rerouted off the QEW Niagara due to traffic congestion and discovered a great breakfast and lunch spot, (see 270 Bench review) we also found Monk's Chocolate Shop. A nice selection of chocolate treats and ice cream and gelato available. I tried the lemon gelato with salted caramel ice cream in a cup to carry out $6.00, while my wife purchased some chocolates for gifts. Rhubarb strawberry gelato is quite tasty. Locally made chocolates in a variety of shapes and sizes. Ty Beanie Babies for gifts and other fun stuff. Friendly staff, ample parking out front. You do see and find more off the expressway and in this case it was Monk's Chocolates and 270 Bench!

There is not enough stars. I keep coming back here for the chocolate covered strawberries.

If you have a chocolate craving, whatever it may be, Monks Chocolates is the place to go. They offer a wide variety of unique confections, including both individual and bulk purchases.

Staff is so friendly and helpful. Gelato was the best I've had. Quaint place with some fun things to check out. We will be back.
Sooner then later. Let the kids try to check that they would like their decisions. Wish I got the names of the employees working as they were so friendly and extremely patient and very welcoming as soon as we walked in the door.

Very good store, varieties of icecream and freshly made chocolates of different mould, design and style available. Very nice employees/ owner and nice patio sitting capacity. Visited on the way to Niagara off the highway. Local sites seeing very nice.

They have the best gelato I have ever tried, both in texture and in flavour. Everyone who works there is incredibly friendly, even when they have a lineup curling through the shop. They sell tubs which are perfect to take home and enjoy for a few days (if it lasts that long!).

What an awesome little place. Tosh is the go to guy for Harvest Right freeze driers and accessories. He seems to know his customers and products. The chocolates are also fantastic.

Lovely store, friendly helpful staff. Even the customers were nice carryingout my purchases to the car.

Absolutely love this place! My husband and I go here often in the summer for gelato and I have purchased chocolate baskets here several times. Everything is delicious!

We go for the soft ice cream cones, other items are expensive. But probably not by Toronto/Oakville standards

This place makes the best gelato. So what's up with the two star review? I just walked out of there because the people in front of me had a crew of at least six small children who are all getting different ice cream orders. That wasn't the problem. Everybody in the store was there to get ice cream. There was one poor girl trying to take care of everybody, and one adult manager in a Patriots hat standing there doing nothing. As someone who worked in the service industry for well over a decade, this is appalling Behavior. He had every opportunity to help the other people in line and chose to stand there and watch us wait. After 10 minutes, I left.

Came in to buy a "congratulations" present they had a box of chocolates with a "congratulations" chocolate it in. They had so many options at all different price points. The chocolates were fantastic.
The only complaint is we did not know which chocolates we were getting as it was an assorted box with no explanation card.
However, there wasn't one chocolate I took that I didn't love.

The ice cream is delicious! I have never tried the chocolates, but they look simply amazing and I'm sure it would also taste the same!

Such a fun little shop! The coconut clusters are unbelievable. All the gelato flavours are always delicious and some are super unique. Great place to stop on a hot summer day!

The Lady who greeted and served us was a delight. The banana-offee was so good. She was so kind to give me all the flavours me heart desired. I got a little bag of an assortment of chocolates. We had a blast trying them all over the next couple days. I will be back!

The old lady the works there made our experience at monks very un enjoyable. And she followed up by saying my girlfriend was “spoiled” for using her phone to pay. Very disappointed. Been coming here since I was a little boy, and I have to say this lady was very rude towards us.

Monks is open late. They make their own ice cream. The flavors are fun and delicious. The Hazelnut Hedgehog is the best chocolate I've had in a while.

The assortment of chocolate, gifts and ice cream is exceptional. The young lady that was working there was very informative and friendly. I loved the flavors of ice cream that was presented. Very tasty. I will definitely be returning to Monks.

Good variety of chocolates and homemade gelato. Some were sugar free. Lots of covered outdoor seating to enjoy your treats.

Great chocolate strawberries! Got them for valentines day and they wrapped it nicely with a bow all for free.

Very cute and small town store. We got the cheesecake ice cream, was really good but i wish they'd offer more options.
