Came by after work ~6 and found it pretty busy. There were very few tables available, but we managed to snag one. Ordered a thundercloud for the first time - I liked it but I wasn't sold on having it served in a clear cup w/ a plastic dome without a straw.
It lost a lot of its charm after the reno, now it just looks gentrified and boring. The coffee is still ok most of the time, but every once in a while they burn it. It used to be a better place a few years back.
Probably my favourite cafe in the downtown area. The staff are super nice, the menu of drinks and baked goods is solid and there is a lot of seating both inside and outside. Great place to stop by and relax.
Delicious coffee, loved my cappuccino and nice coffee alternatives too: fresh smoothies and juices. Good pastry options and a cute place inside. They also have coffee beans for sale, will try another time. Overall loved it!
This isn’t in my top tier of all the coffee shops that I’ve been too, but it’s really good and conveniently placed. Came here on two separate occasions. First time was on a small road trip and the second time I was with a huge group of people. Brought all of my friends here and they all had good things to say.
A legendary place in the Kensington Market, has been there forever. Great coffee and wonderful atmosphere.there are back and front patios for warmer weather and two rooms with quite a few tables inside.lots of dairy alternatives, like soy, almond or oat "milk. " coffee and tea for here, and also can be bought in bulk for at home use. Super nice and friendly, and very fast and attentive staff. There is also good selection of pastries.a total opposite of a cafe chain establishment. I highly recommend!
A really cute place - staff are super welcoming and friendly. There is a great selection of teas, coffee and pastries. Good amount of space to work from the cafe with charging points.
Not only do they make amazing Coffee and Latte's. They also make really good smoothies that boast tonnes of flavour. The kale smoothie is one I've tried and it tastes fantastic.
Tried the Latte and the Herbal Peach tea here. Both were very nice. Price was fair and the service staff were very nice. The sitting area in the back is nice and quiet. Also they roast their own beans. Their beans were a bit too acidic for my taste but overall very good.
While the space where you order and wait for your drinks is fairly narrow, especially when it is busy, the wide selection of tasty beverages is well worth it. This was my first time stopping here, but I definitely plan on returning and trying something new!
I had the best Iced London Fog here. Having lived in the UK, I am always looking for a genuinely good London Fog and here it is! Can't wait to come back again:)
Love the name, Moonbean Coffee ️ and the back patio with shade! There’s also a front patio on St. Andrew. They have lactose free milk and a nice selection of coffee and tea (loose leaf)
The epitome of a what a modern coffee house should be! Even though I am a senior, and very uncool, I feel welcome there among the eclectic assortment of patrons. Quality of the vast assortment of coffees, teas, etc, as well as the fresh baked pastries, both sweet and savoury is unbeatable. Of course, if you need wifi and a bit of space, that is all there as well.
This spot has a great variety of teas and coffees! I enjoyed a cup of the strawberry oolong green tea & spent the morning getting some work done. I must say the green tea was smooth & mildly flavoured which made it easy to drink even if you don’t add any sweeteners. The space is nice and quiet. It’s clean ENOUGH but I did notice a buildup of crumbs and DUST on the walls which was off-putting however the bathrooms were clean. On another positive note, I noticed the staff baking all the pastries fresh in the morning. It’s good to know that the snacks aren’t stale or store bought. I’ll definitely be back for the strawberry green tea and possibly to try an espresso. The shelves and walls do need a good wiping though. Other than that, great stuff!
I had a "cortado" coffee, nice, strong. It is one of the few places in Toronto that offer the "cortado" type. There is pastries and muffins to choose from, spinach bagel, and more. Cool & relaxed environment. Patrons from different walks of life and very "Kensigntonian. " Moonbean coffee is always good. They have both back and front patios, and indoor seating. Don't miss out.
