Morala Trading

I took my coffee machine to them for regular maintenance. They called me to say that the machine is ready for pick up however there is 1 light that is not working anymore. Asked them how it comes since nothing was wrong when I left the machine they said: we don’t know but we can repair it. Like, if the light was really broken I would asked them to repair it from the beginning but it was working fine the morning when I left it to them. So I ended up to pay but definitely will never go back!

Went here to buy a new machine for my husband’s birthday and am so happy I found their store. Hamid and the rest of the staff are so kind and you can absolutely tell that they are experts in all things coffee. We will definitely be returning and look forward to hopefully taking his course as well. Thank you Morala Trading:)

We bought an ECM espresso machine there as well as a an Eureka Perfecto grinder. I also had them fix the controller of my Rocket Mozzafiato Evo R last year, which they did in less than 24 hours. We had the chance to take their great barista class with Hamid a few days ago, which was totally worth it. So I have been dealing with Morala Trading for more than 5 years now and I have nothing but praise for them. Nice small business with awesome service!

Untrustworthy salesmanship. Purchased an espresso machine to find wrench marks on the connectors - clearly was taken apart before, without much care considering all the scratches. When phoned for service - the owner was very rude and hung up pretty fast. Eager to sell a used machine as new, not so eager to provide service, support or guidance. Shame on you.

I love this place. Bought a mid range espresso machine from them years ago and they've provided the parts and advice to keep the thing running since. Their tech guys are amazing - if it is broken, they can fix it

Brought my Jura machine for repair. Service was very fast and professional. Less than 24 hours and I had my machine back home.

I took a barista class today with Hamid and I cant be more happy with my experience. What a nice man, and what a great teacher. He is really passionate about what he does and makes you love making coffee even more. I highky recommend it.

Very strange experience. Emailed them about my non-commercial E61 machine, with the make a model and description of the problem (cracked brass nut on pressure gauge, with picture where the crack is clear and the water leaking from it as well). They asked me my address and said they would show up that day, which they did. I like my coffee so a same day repair seemed great for $80 plus parts.

Person tried to install what looked like a non-brand part (it wasn't the same as the one inside my machine). It still leaked. Tried to use a bunch of teflon tape.still leaked and declared that he needed to take it back to the shop and it would cost "a few hundred bucks" to fix. No explanation of why or what needed to be repaired. I refused (having seen some of the bad experience people had with machines coming back worse). He then proceeded to blame me and the fact that it was a "cheap" machine. Well okay, sure, apparently for you a $2K machine is cheap and stating that they don't repair non-commercial and I should have told him it was a non-commercial machine and that they don't service those.

He knew the make and model, never asked of this was a store. And heck, if you don't like "cheap" machines, then why did you accept the job? You had all the information.

Definitely will not be on my list of stores when I do need to replace my machine. Making customers feel bad for their purchase because you are upset that your repair didn't work isn't a great business practice. Did not charge me anything, which I was happy for; hence the two stars instead of one.

Fast forward a week, I got the $15 part from a distributor, removed the mess of teflon tape the guy left in there, screwed it in myself and like magic, pressure gauge works and it doesn't leak.

I bought an ECM Technika from them 6 years ago. Could have find an Espresso Machine closer to my place (south shore of Montreal) but I have no regret buying it at Morala. Recently the machine was not heating any more. First issue after 6 years of daily use. I did not hesitate to drive 150 km to have it fixed by the Morala team. It was pleasure to see Hamid and Shams after 6 years, their warm welcome was a pleasure after riding alone from Montreal to Ottawa! I meet Mushtaq for the first time. He really impressed me with his kindness and knowledge, he took the time to explain everything he was going to perform on the machine, explained the possible reasons that have caused the issue and discussed about solutions. He took the time even if there was a dozen of machine waiting to be repaired. Two hours after I left Morala I received a phone call from Mushtaq asking about the ppm reading of the water I use (one of the causes of the issue). More than that, he proposed a video call and he showed me the parts he replaced, the damaged parts he even pull a shot…. Nice to see my machine working again. It’s a 150 km drive that worth it. I highly recommend this place for purchases and repairs.

Really cool shop. More what you'd expect in a city like Toronto or Montreal. Tonnes of cool coffee gear for the hobbyist. Check it out.

I wanted to buy my girlfriend a fancy espresso maker for her 30th and this place was perfect. Was able to support local and get a legit fancy machine without having to order online. The staff (older man and woman) are so nice and it's exactly the kind of place I want to support. I have 'coffee conaisseur' friends and they all said this was the place to go for a real espresso machine and good service. We'll be back for our espresso/coffee needs! #ShopLocal!

Best service ever- within a day, my coffee machine was repaired and in impeccable condition back in my house! Moutaq, the technician, provided an estimate within hours of dropping off the machine and was very knowledgeable and provided explanation on the repair. Overall great experience, recommend to anyone with a love for their morning brew!

Can't say enough good things about Morala. I live an hour away and have brought my Ascaso in for servicing, and I've also relied on Mushtaq for phone support and shipping of parts. Showroom is full of machines, knowledgable staff. I will buy my next machine direct from them for sure.

Just recieved my Techni Vorm Moccamaster KGB via curbside pickup and love it. Very friendly service. Amazing selection of coffee machines and related merchandise.

5 stars to Mushtaq in the Service Department. I brought in my 10 year old Jura. Mushtaq took the time to explain the reasons for my issues and recommended a new brewer group. Machine now works great! Excellent customer service!

Excelent and prompt service, expert technicians especially Mushtaq, who has maintained our Jura machine in theblast 4 years taking time to explain the problem and solution. Very reasonable fees compared to others I’ve gone to. Great customer service. Highly recommend them for repair service of specialty coffee machines.

My experience was horrid! I had bought an espresso machine on sale for $300. I wasn't getting a good creama and brought it back. I was told by the owner that I had bought a chevette instead of a cadillac! I had said.well, YOU sold it to me! He suggested that I buy a better machine so I spent more money and purchased a refurbished. Again, there were issues. I could make one great cup, but i'd have to wait an hour to make another. Again, I brought it back and after arguing and threatening to take them to court.we settled on a brand new fully automatic. I have now spent $1200. Guess what? I've had it for a month and it's now not working AT ALL. I will NOT go back there for anything. I'm bringing my machine and future business to Preston Hardware. They are looking at my machine and are going to fix it for FREE!
Please avoid frustration and DO NOT go to Morala Trading. Horrible business!

Kind and knowledgeable customer service. Answered all my questions and helped me choose the grinder and coffee maker combo that suits my needs. Great selection of accessories too. Will try one of their coffee classes soon!

We have had several encounters with Morala and are most pleased. From a large repair on our Rancilio, to small parts on mail order which were handled professionally and with ultimate courtesy. They know their stuff and have great selection of quality coffee.

The French chocolates in stock for the holidays are amazing. Not sure if it is standard for customers to receive a sample coffee, but I lucked out and it just might be the best latte I've had in Ottawa.
