Been going here for a few years now for my two little dogs. Everyone in the office, from reception to tech to vet are all amazing. They provide helpful advice and stellar treatment. Very glad we found them

Dr. Kodsy has been a life saver, literally and figuratively, over the 10 years we have been with his clinic. The Dr and his staff are caring, compassionate, understanding and most of all patient with nervous pet parents. We highly recommend Morningstar Pet hospital for preventative and emergency services.

I brought my dog Brady in for the first time in July. Dr. Kodsy was very kind and professional. His vet assistants are lovely and helpful they were very accommodating. They greeted us with a warm smile which made me feel comfortable and welcomed.

Our cat became very ill very suddenly and they were able to have an appointment in an hour and a half. The secretary was very nice on the phone. The vet tech who did her initial exam was very sweet as well. It was decided that the best option for our cat was humane euthanasia and this is where things took a turn in our experience. We asked for more time with our cat and the vet tech said to come out when we were ready but the vet came in a few minutes later to do the procedure. When the sedative was given our cat had what seemed to me, a bad reaction (I am sparing the details) but I wanted to wait for her to calm and seem like she was actually sedated before moving on to the final process. The vet seemed to moving on quickly and I asked him to wait while trying to comfort her and being in tears myself. It was at this point he put his hands in the air declaring that I was stressing him out. At that moment I felt I had to placate him to move on. Once she was gone we thanked them because at least she was out of pain now.

The vet left us with a bad feeling and we will not be returning here. We felt his actions were very uncompassionate. Having put a cat down just 6 months ago the two experiences could not have felt different.

We hope that he reads this and will reevaluate what happen and perhaps adjust his demeanor in the future.

Additional Information: I got to the office at 3: 58pm and was sat outside crying texting my best friend at 5: 02pm. So the hour I was 'given with my cat' included the exam, discussion of treatment options, the actual euthanasia and paying the bill. Not an hour of time being able to say goodbye to my best friend of 15 years. Also, I asked for the stethoscope so I could hear thag her heart beat was gone. The reason I did this was because I was offered that at the other vet clinic and it provided me great comfort. Maybe consider that.

I have been using them for about 2 years for my boxer and bully boys. They are so good with them. My bully who does not usually like people, absolutely loves the staff!

Great clinic. The veterinarian (forget his name). Took the time to gain the trust of my reactive dog with tons of treats and praise. In result giving my dog a positive experience. Apposed to just quickly giving a needle and stressing my dog out. I'm now stress free that I have found a veterinarian that understands his social behaviors! Super happy with Morningstar!

Always receive the best care. The vets and tech's are always genuinely interested and concerned for the well-being of my pets.

I recently moved to Whitby and was anxious about leaving my vet in Mississauga. I came across this clinic and wow. All the staff really care about my dog, Hudson. For his annual checkup, the doctor really paid close attention to every detail. When it came time to get some lumps biopsied, the doctor was careful to recommend a course of action that would put Hudson less at risk. On the day of the lumpectomy, the staff were sure to call me regularly with updates on Hudson, which was really reassuring. They even caught a slight heart rhythm abnormality that no other vet had caught or tested before putting him under. He was completely check out before his surgery, which caught this potential risk, and the surgery was rescheduled until we were sure the anesthetic wouldn’t hurt him. When Hudson came home from the surgery, I could see that all the incisions on multiple lumps were textbook perfect and the vet and his techs went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable, I was well aware of how best to take care of him, and they even called to check up on him multiple times. Fantastic vet. Definitely my new go-to.

The staff were very attentive to our needs and provided the details needed to make an informed decision about our pets health and safety.

We have always found Dr. Kodsy to be very knowledgeable and honest. Also, the staff are very friendly and helpful when we have needed our pets seen right away they do everything they can to accommodate us.

We wouldn't take our pets anywhere else as we always get the very best care at Morningstar.
