Morocco House / MAZEED FRIED CHICKEN

An amazing new halal fried chicken place in Etobicoke. The food, service, and atmosphere are great. We tried their mazeed chicken sandwich, fried chicken meal, and the classic chicken sandwich. The spice mixture for the fries is delicious and new, and the coleslaw is very fresh and flavorful. Best of all are the prices!

They have a place for praying and bathrooms downstairs which is very convenient.

The owner was very kind and the service was great!

Last night was the 2nd time that I’ve had Fried Chicken from Mazeed and I have to say their chicken is amazing.

The outside is extremely crispy and the meet is very juicy. Some of the best fried chicken I’ve had in Toronto.

For anyone who is looking for fried chicken I would strongly recommend Mazeed.

I loved their chicken! Its juicy and fresh. Their portions are really big for the price too. The best halal fried chicken spot in etobicoke, hands down. Definitely coming back here for more!

They newly opened this burger joint. The food was really good and the staff was super friendly and quick. My mom and I enjoyed our lunch here.

I had the lamb prune one of the best best Morrocan food I had in my entire life.
Highly recommend it to everyone.

The lamb tagine was juicy, bursting with flavourful and quite belly-warming. The chicken couscous was also juicy and flavourful, plus the portion was quite generous.
The best moroccan restaurant in Toronto

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a Moroccan restaurant in Toronto, and I must say that my experience was absolutely fantastic! From the moment I stepped inside, the ambiance and decor transported me to the vibrant streets of Morocco.

As a Moroccan, this is a very excellent restaurant. I invited 15 people from here for a birthday party and everybody was amazed with the food. I recommend this place for everybody.

I have very much enjoyed this restaurant, we often drive down from up north to come dine in at this place. However, today was a terrible experience- we were the only ones at the restaurant- the server seemed new and didn’t know how to take the order - the worse part was when the food arrived, it was cold and reheated definitely not freshly prepared - I brought this up to the server, the owner/cook came up and started telling me that I shouldn’t have touched the food if I didn’t want to eat and went on and on without listening or hearing me out - i waked out of the place and will never come again. Horrible service and the quality of food has drastically gone down.

Food was solid, just service was VERY slow.first members of our group got served an hour before the last person.

My first time trying Moroccan food and loving it. Charming décor and music, friendly staff. Will be back to try other dishes and have more of the mint tea. This is a hidden gem.

For me as a Moroccan, I lived times as if I were in Morocco, we enjoyed a cup of Moroccan tea.everything was great, and the people here treat me well. I hope to come back very soon

The food was good.chicken tagine and lamp couscous were delicious.it was nice experience.

Horrible food, way too salty. Non tender tajins. Unapologetically late even when the food brought was subpar. I came with a group of ten at 6pm, we got our food at 7: 30. One of us actually got our food at 8. Horrible service.

Would not recommend this place. Stopped by to try it as there's not many options for Moroccan food in the GTA and we were in the area. We ordered a tajine and to our surprise.they served it with frozen vegetables.

We couldn't believe it. It was as if they had just taken all frozen ingredients and put it all in a tajine and added very little spices.

I miss Imlil Moroccan Cuisine. It was the only authentic restaurant in the area that actually had good food. Morocco House on the other hand.sucked! Not to mention that it took us a long time to get our order. It is overpriced as well and offers no value.

Would not recommend nor would I visit again though the staff were nice.

Cute place with great Moroccan food. I ordered take out which came out fresh, delicious and hot. The atmosphere is quaint and I would love to come back to sit in.

It was a nice calm place. I ordered lemon chicken tagine and the meat was soft.i find this meal to be oily though i’m not sure if that is how it is. I would go back to try their other menu since it looks good!

The web shows as open. I came to order some food as noone was answering their phone but the place is closed.

Ordered on Ubereats. Portion size was awful for the money. Ordered hummus and Marrakech Salad for 11.99 each. The containers were smaller than my hand; barely any food for a total of $24, plus tax. Food was tasty though. They should at least indicate sizes to better inform customers.

I usually get takeout from here and it's delicious and relatively unique for the area as not many (if any) Moroccan places in south Etobicoke. Takes a long time to prepare, so order well ahead of time.

Absolutely the worst restaurant I have ever been too and I say that with full confidence.
My order was as follows:

Lemon Chicken Tagine 20$
Absolutely burnt stale chicken with little to no flavor. Further you will get a thigh and leg ONLY. This is a disgrace and a rip off, this is the largest ripoff on the menu and should be avoided at all costs.

Lamb Tagine 23$
Lamb taste was okay nothing special. You got 4 bones with little meat on the platter. The Tagine is 90% peas with 4 prunes sprinkled ontop. Absolute biggest disappointment of the night.

Chicken Kebab platter 22$:
Again the chicken was poorly made and you will get 4 cubes of chicken with standard rice and a pathetic lettuce only salad for an absolute rip off price.

Further, we ordered a kabob plate only to be told 40 minutes after the food was served that they did not have it. They actually tried to give us a kafta kabob plate in its stead saying this is what we ordered. EVEN THOUGH THEY TRIED CHARGING US FOR A KABOB PLATTER. Meaning they knew what we ordered and tried to sell it off as that anyway.

Overall the service here is terrible. It will take 10 minutes for them to even give you pre-made store bought pita bread - delivered cold. The server had no idea about the menu and cannot answer any questions. At least he was not rude, just unintelligible in his craft.

I highly reccomend anyone going out to avoid this restaurant, not experiencing Moroccan food is a better alternative to being scarred by the atrocity that is this location. Please save your hard earned money and time by going anywhere else. You will leave sad and hungry if you choose this restaurant for your meal.

Terrible service. Barely saw the waiter. Tried to wave him down several times and nothing. Didn't take our order down correctly. It was a bad experience.

Food:
Lemon chicken tagine, harira soup and chicken pastry were good.

Their beef shawarma, chicken skewers and falafel are extremely salty. I like salty food but here they served poisonously salty.

Service:
Overall service was very slow. We got half of the food fast but the rest came after an hour so half of my family was waiting. The shawarma we got in the end had been prepared from before so it came cold and soggy.

Manager’s behavior:
We ordered chicken shawarma but got beef shawarma. The sausages were also burnt. When we reported this to the manager, he started getting defensive instead of apologizing for the mistake.

We paid for the food we didn’t eat but I would’ve appreciated if the manager had accepted the mistakes instead of being defensive.

Authentic Moroccan food served in a very traditional way. Delicious food and fantastic service. Ibrahim (owner) is a guy and make sure you have a great time.

The place is small but nice interior. Authentic Moroccan vibes. However our experience wasn't very pleasant.

We ordered chicken kebab which is priced at $18.99 assuming the star of the dish is chicken but when the platter arrived it just had 6 small bits of chicken (one of which was burnt), a huge heap of rice and some salad. Highly disappointed with the portion size of chicken. Hope they either serve a bigger portion or revise the pricing for sure. No one needs so much rice when there's hardly any chicken in your dish.

Tried the beef shawarma wrap. The WORST SHAWARMA I have ever had in my life, and I’ve tried shawarmas all over the city. The shawarma was cold and salty. DONT COME

I read Good reviews and thus went in to try. We ordered two items:
1. Chicken tagine - took too long to come out, waited for at least an hour. Taste was decent.
2. Chicken shawarma - the olives were with seeds in the shawarma, whole olives. Thankfully no broken tooth. The meat was overcooked and chewy.

The staff was apologetic and gave us a clear soup while we waited for the food, and that's the only reason I've given an extra start.

I was very disappointed! This restaurant is an insult to Moroccan food, as an Algerian who’s very familiar with the Moroccan cuisine, I would leave zero stars if I could. The food is mediocre for the price and to make it even worse it is not even remotely close to authentic. Plus, it was a major rip off, we paid almost 50$/person for a small bowl of Harira soup and Tajine! They even tried to charge us for bread which was supposed to be included with the soup. Anyways, I would never suggest this restaurant to anyone.

A very decent place for authentic Moroccan food. The wait time was slightly longer that initially communicated. The food was great. I recommend their tea.

First time to order food from this “Moroccan Restaurant “ what can I say: very bad taste, very low quality, a rip off! Never again.
I ordered for pick up 2 tagines, 4 salads, 3 pieces of Paratha (so called measemen) which in fact was a frozen paratha bought from No Frills, heated and priced at $7 each. So 3 pieces at $21+. I thought it would be hand made the Moroccan style!
The roasted bell pepper salad was disgusting, I don’t know what kind of food was that, I simply through it out, it’s priced at $12 for a little container. Chicken tagine and Beef tagine were both garnished with same vegetables except beef tagine has chickpeas, priced at $22 each. A salad that you usually get from any restaurant as a side is priced at $12. Using canned ingredients like beetroot, green olives and black olives, carrots & peas were all canned veg.the food was pretty old and has lot of lemon juice added. I paid $140 with 10% gratuity.
It was the worst food ever I bought. Would not recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for Authentic or even a descent Moroccan cuisine.

We were recommended this place for authentic Moroccan food. We enjoyed the food but the whole restaurant had only 1 waiter. So when we needed anything we had to get the waiter's attention. We ordered the lamb tangine and the lamb cous cous. Both were delicious. We would come here for the food again. Delicious

No doubt most of the reviewers have eaten in another restaurant. The couscous is very salty and disgusting. The lamb is basically 4 large pieces of bones only with no meat. It was highly gross that I threw food worth more than $60 in the garbage. I have been to bad restaurants but this was the worst. There is no way this is a true Moroccan restaurant.

Comfortable atmosphere, friendly and thoughtful service, delicious food, and mint tea to die for. I will be back!

Went there at 3: 30 pm on a weekday and we were the only ones there. Service was painfully slow. Food was authentic and fairly tasty, not amazing. A little disappointed that with my beef tajen they have me some pita bread that didn't taste fresh, I would expect fresh warm bread.

This place has really nice authentic Moroccan food, and would strongly recommend to anyone. The restaurant feels like a second home to me.everyone who works there is very helpful and welcoming.

The food was authentic. Unfortunately the lamb dish had half lamb and half fat and was supposed to have five vegetables but only had two. $18.99? When we walked in we were asked if we wanted Moroccan tea. He never said it was $9 for water, sugar and mint. Waiter was late five min. Other waiter late ten minutes. Beef was pronounced as fresh sirloin tip. It was reheated and dry. Bottom line. $80 for 3 dishes and one small appetizer is ridiculous. If it were $30, I would say the value was less than fair. But please! The bread is store bought and dry. Thumbs down, very dissapointed.

Perfect! The food was great and the staff super friendly! I am from Morocco and even by my standards, the food served here tastes like authentic Moroccan dishes. This Moroccan restaurant is certainly the best I have tried so far.
