Mosaic African Foods (Filad Enterprises)

Always my go-to Afro grocery store even though there are similar stores near my house. I don’t mind the drive cos the customer service and experience is always superb! The staff are always pleasant and would ensure they go an extra mile to help get I need even if it is not available on their display shelves or in stock.

I have been shopping here since I moved to Canada and I can definitely say this is home away from home! There is absolute everything you want and more. Super clean environment, well structured, consistent with product availability, the customer service is TOP NOTCH! Very reasonable prices. They are truly the best!

Mosaic African Foods is a store where price tags are no longer affixed on products because they want to rip off customers. I used to visit this store and price tags are on every product, but now you will have to ask the lady for the price of palm oil, vegetable oil, yam, garri, pounded yam, rice, plantain and everything else, and she will then check from her note pad where various prices are written. It is like they give you a price based on how rich you appear and are dressed. This behaviour is contrary to Canadian Consumer Laws. A typical and corrupt Nigerian way of doing business are ripping people off. I have told my friends that we should no longer go to Mosaic until prices are affixed on every product.

Don't buy their garri if you are going to smoke it (drinking garri). I washed it several times but it still had lots of sand in it. You can't see this sand with the naked eye but with every single bite you take you are eating sand. Most horrible experience I ever had smoking garri

Whenever I come here, I am well take care of. Everyone is ready to help and they even carry your groceries to your car! All my questions get answered and the prices are very competitive.

Never had an issue with shopping here since I started going here in 2007. The products are well priced, fresh, and of great quality. I find a lot of products here that are not available in other African stores. I have also used Mosaic to source the bulk purchase of items for the traditional engagement ceremony/wine carrying for marriage and they have always come through. I would highly recommend Mosaic to anyone!

Great family owned grocery store with a wide variety of African products. I’ve been coming for over 10 years and I am extremely happy for their success and growth.

Mosaic African food at Eddystone Avenue cheats On their customers! I was served a bad portion of hard chicken in a carton, full of bones, which is what they selected specifically to sell to customers who don’t understand them. This carton of chicken In question was So awful and when I visited them the second time they tried serving the bad portion again but I refused and asked for a different carton of chicken which came out a bit better than what they brought earlier. And when I asked them to take back the bad potion that they brought, they discussed Within them on how to position it again for another unfortunate customer! My grocery list got hike! I was charged excess for other things that I bought which were unidentified. They are probably charging me excess to cover up for refusing a bad carton of chicken! Nigerians should stop this bad practice! It’s too shameful!

The staff was amazing, friendly and efficient. The prices were great, I highly recommend this grocery store. Will be back:)

It was my first time at this store and I was highly disappointed. Cashier and some other girl at the front desk kept conversing for about 5 mins while I stood in front of them waiting to check out. I HAD to mention to them that I had to be somewhere and STILL they paid me no mind and kept talking for a few minutes more after that before checking me out. I’m definitely not coming back here. Worst customer experience EVER.

Great store! Very impressed with their meat section.it is extremely clean and the butchers are very respectful and helpful which is hard to come by these days. Hopefully they keep it up.
