Motion Electrical- Heating & Cooling

Motion came out to troubleshoot my very old furnace that would not start. I was very impressed with their knowledge and professionalism and will definitely be using them when the time comes to replace it and for any other projects I might have.

Used this company a few weeks ago for our Vet Clinic in Rockwood. Matthew and his partner were punctual and did a great job installing new light bulbs for the whole practice

First we had a quote for the job, very quickly. I wasn't expecting it to be done for a few weeks. Then I got an email saying they would be here today. I thought it was just to run a propane line. The stove to be installed later. Well we had a gas stove converted to propane and hooked up to the existing propane lines today!

They were on time, very courteous, tidy and super efficient. I would highly recommend Moition Electrical - Heating and Cooling!

We had Luke in on a short notice, and tight timeline and he was able to finish the job with plenty of time to spare. Courteous, clean and great to work with.

Wednesday Feb 8/2023 at 1pm I was told my furnace was cracked and they had to shut it off, by Thursday Feb 9/2023 I had a new furnace installed, no hastle, no fuss just amazing customer service! I will NEVER go anywhere else than Motion Electrical, Heating / Cooling & Fire Protection

Don’t bother if you have a small job you need done.
I had them come out and was told “you can expect a quick turnaround. We’ll call you next week. ”
I waited a week and a half to call them back and I was told they would call me back in the next hour. I never heard back.
That’s not a professional way to run a business!

Matthew did a great job of converting our propane stove to natural gas. Would have them work at our cottage anytime.

Our company has been using MEC for a few years now. This year when they came to complete the annual inspection on our fire extinguishers and emergency lighting, they did a demonstration for our staff. Ryan and Sean explained to staff the importance of extinguishers, how to properly use them and when to use them. They set up a small fire and staff were able to use the extinguisher to put it out. I had an issue with another company they ended up tagging my 10 year old furnace* (shutting my gas off and my hydro to the furnace - which turned out, half my kitchen runs on the same line as the furnace.) - all it needed was a heat valve checked on the furnace, as it wasn't fully lighting. This other company left me without heat, and wanting me to rent a furnace for them for 100$ a month (the service rep said he could offer a discount) - this other company didn't even bother to preform tests to support their findings of "rusty rivets" on my heat exchanger (the service was under 10 minutes long, and then the calls started from the company to act now on their furnace rental services).
I couldn't
believe this, as my furnace has been taken of, and was a clean unit. All it needed was a small service repair, not a whole new furnace being installed.

I asked a local Facebook group, which led me to MEC, Sarah arranged for a Tech to come out as soon as possible. He preformed recorded tests for C0 and a furnace inspection. THIS Tech couldn't find anything to support the other company's
findings. They were able to lift the tag, that was inappropriately placed on my furnace from the other company. My furnace runs beautifully, and I'm very happy to have heat again.

Motion Electrical Contracting did all of the gas and electrical for our pool installation. They were highly professional from our first call to the office to the completion of the job. On site Sean and his co-workers were extremely efficient, courteous, personable and professional. Their communication was excellent answering any and all questions that we had. I felt their fees were very reasonable particularly given the very high quality of their work. We would, without hesitation, highly recommend this company.

We had our gas fireplace fail just before Christmas. MEC responded quickly, assessed the problem, got the part in and the fireplace was ready for the Holidays. Great service and friendly people.

Can't say enough about Motion Electric! Had new kitchen lights and dimmers installed this morning. Our electrician was efficient, cleaned up after himself and was most pleasant. We highly recommend this company if you have any electrical that needs doing.

Just had Motion Electrical in to do work on our 185 yr old house. New whole home "Generac" generator installed. Upgraded to 200amp service, two new panels installed, a couple of minor repairs to items that didn't meet code. An A1, all positive experience from quote to finish. Exceptionally neat and tidy job, with friendly, courteous staff who LISTENED to my requirements and met/exceeded them. Great that they do HVAC as well so no need to find a separate gas-fitter for the generator installation. Motion Electrical is now our "go to" provider. Highly recommended!

The crew at MEC arrived on time, were friendly, professional and provided exceptional service. They were able to complete all work ahead of the estimated schedule time despite the amount of work that was required (electrical panel upgrade, copper pigtails for the entire home, rewiring for bathroom vanity lights, new basement lighting and a new air conditioner installation) and took care of all cleanup once the work was completed. I would highly recommend MEC for their service, price, professionalism and quality of work.

The space that they installed LED lights made the difference of night to day. Everyone I dealt with was very helpful and friendly. The quality of workmanship was excellent and I am very pleased to recommend their services.

Every company can make improvements. Had an appointment scheduled, owner never showed up, no phone call. If you were in my shoe's? How does one rate this experience? Past experience, they were great but not excellent, so 4 stars is appropriate at this time.
