Mountainview Lodge

Karen and Steve are amazing hosts, definitely going above and beyond for their guests. Food was top notch and just what we needed after a long day of skiing at Searchmont. The perfect spot to stay if you’re passing through.

I had a great time staying at the lodge. It was very peaceful and my host, Karen, was very accommodating.

Karen and Steve, the owners of Mountainview Lodge, are the kindest and most accommodating hosts we have ever had the privilege of staying with. Our large group have stayed frequently and for weeks at a time and they always go out of their way to make sure their guests have what they need to enjoy their visit. They have gone above and beyond at every opportunity to provide a comfortable experience and I would highly recommend experiencing the beauty of the area while staying with them. The caboose offers a unique and memorable lodging choice, while the common area is a great place to relax and socialize with your group and other guests. I would highly recommend staying here and we will definitely return when we have the chance.

Karen & Steve (and Betty the pooch) were great hosts! We stayed one night on our way up North and the room was super clean and comfortable. They were very accommodating and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again!

I've stayed in alot of places over the years while traveling and Mountainview Lodge has to be hands down one of the most accommodating places I've ever stayed in. Karen sure knows how to make you feel welcomed, her kindness and generosity is a force to be recond with. Newly renovated room are very cozy and clean, the new beds are also comfortable. Thank you for everything Karen, can't wait to come back again Give the furbabies hugs from me.

Great location! 10 minutes from Searchmont Resort. 25 to 30 minutes from the Sault Ste Marie Ontario Canada, 40 minutes from Sault Ste Marie Michigan, USA. Steve and Karen are great hosts! The rooms decor are perfect, a great representation of the surrounding area. Affordable. My favorite is the Caboose.

This place was awesome. Super cozy. Some rooms are smaller some are bigger. They give you the option here.wonderful lady works up in front office is there anytime you need her! Would recommend anytime to anybody. Also for most people that will be skiing searchmont. It’s 5 minutes away from the mountain!

Very nice place! Welcomed us in and gave us WiFi and coffee after needing a spot to crash. Would highly recommend!

We had the most incredible ski weekend with our hosts Steve and Karen. They missed no opportunity to show us what true northern hospitality looks like. We can’t thank them enough for the lovely meals, accommodation and company.

Delightfully cozy! Karen and Steve were absolutely wonderful hosts who went to great lengths to make our stay comfortable. They cooked meals for us (breakfast of quiche, pancake, bacon, sausage, toast; dinner of dal-rice-chicken, ham-mashed potato-gravy, roast beef-carrots-potatoes, and the best apple blossom I’ve ever had), let us play with their dog, hooked up our laptop to a humongous living room tv so we could watch Netflix and Amazon, had yoga mats ready for my morning routine, and made us feel totally at home. The beds were super nice, the hot water was spot on and the views were incredible. Definitely recommend!
