Every time I've called Mr. Furnace the service has been exceptional, from the individual on the initial call to the tech that comes to the house.
This time I really thought they had their work cut out for them. My furnace quit working and it's while we're having really bad weather. I didn't think anyone was going to be coming out the same day. But they did. Shout out to Brian Minotti, you're the best. He got my furnace running in no time. Changed my thermostat because he figured out that my furnace wasn't putting out heat properly. Awesome guy, changed my filter because I forgot to buy a new one. Been with this company for years, keep doing what you're doing guys. Good service is a lost art and btw house is toasty warm now.

Brian came to our aid when, on the coldest day of the year, our furnace stopped working. He got the furnace going and told us what went wrong and how he fixed it.
He was very professional and was a very nice guy to talk to.

Spent 31,000.00 and need someone to check water pressure (which went down after installation) I called 7x and they are always sympathetic but I have yet to hear back. Also, I asked about rebates and no response. Always friendly on the phone but they are just the gate keepers, try and get supervisor to address these issues.again 31,000.00 and their guarantees are nothing just words

Brian came in and started diagnosting right away. He was very informing on the issues that he found, and professional in the way he worked.

I called Mr Furnace for an emergency furnace repair on a cold morning. They were professional and helpful and sent a tech over pretty quickly. The tech was great and fixed the issue within a few hours. The price was an absolute gouging, but that's kind of what you expect. I have no problem with this aspect of the business, and would have been happy enough to leave a good rating based on that.

However, the tech suggested that my furnace was getting old and offered to set me up with a sales rep to get a quote on a new furnace. He was probably right to do so, and we were thinking of replacing it soon anyway, so I said sure. I just wanted a quote - but be warned, because this company doesn't do quotes. They sent a sales guy who sat us down and went through the whole sleazy, high pressure, used car sales pitch. Did a whole presentation, asked us a bunch of useless questions that he tried to use to get us to agree we needed the expensive model, tried to sell us on all of the additional features and warranties, called his manager in front of us to 'see what else they could throw in', and refused to even give us a price on a furnace that didn't also include a whole new air conditioning system. Pressured us into making a decision immediately and said that the deal would be gone if we didn't sign now.

I went elsewhere to buy a new furnace, and it came in at about $7000 cheaper than what Mr Furnace offered me. Don't waste your time.

Rob, the Service tech, was both Knowledgeable and courteous. The issue was resolved and we had a thorough understanding of the cause.

Anthony came by my parents house to quote them on a new A/C unit. Tried to get them to sign a ridiculous contract for a 15 year finance with a 15% apr. He had only wrote down the monthly payment and when I asked him what the interest rate was he was visual embarrassed, clearly knew what he was doing. Seems to like to take advantage when people don’t understand cost of financing.

Update: they never called, below is just an automated reply they give on bad reviews. I’m sure the owner is well aware of the used car sales tactics of his sales reps and supports this practice.

Bought air conditioner from them. Asked them to check when AC stop working. Charged Diagnostic fee $99 and replacement thermostat $256 (model: Emerson 80 series non-programmable 1F83C-11NP). Thermostat price probably $70 maximum. Do not figure out what the labor rate is. Tried to contact customer service and promised to contact me the second day. But never hear from it.

Water pipe for humidifier was not punctured and wasn’t getting water when installed. Mathew was very knowledgeable and helpful and fixed it quickly and very friendly.

Truly a great team. I had an issue with my heating right before the temperature was about to drop to -13c… they were able to send someone out within a few hours. The technician, Matthew, was kind and helpful. Very happy with the service.

Mark was my Mr. Furnace representative and he was a very nice young man. He did his job with quiet efficiency and cleanliness. I would gladly have him back in the spring.

I am very pleased with the service that was provided by Mr. Furnace. Juergen, the technician who came to our home was able to quickly identify the problem with our unit. He was able to make the repair in a very short time. He was both professional and pleasant. I will not hesitate to recommend Mr. Furnace to family and friends. Thank you for bringing heat to our home.

Claude came for the annual seasonal maintenance. He was attentive, and informative, friendly and easy to talk to. He informed us about 'hotspots'
in the furnace that probably have been there for a few years now, and that we may have to pay attention for in the future. He did a good job and left us feeling ready for the winter.

We always use Claude every year. He is very kind, friendly and considerate. Claude is very knowledgeable and tells you what he finds in language you can understand. I trust Claude completely, he is very honest. I will keep requesting him. Thanks Claude.

An example on why you always get multiple quotes or opinions:
After paying the $150 service fee for a technician to take 3 minutes to tell me what the issue with my no longer functioning furnace on the coldest day of the year, it was “strongly recommended” that I not replace the part and rather spend 6-8000 on a brand new furnace. Giving no discussion on the broken part, I was immediately pressured into starting phone calls and new appointments to purchase and install a new furnace.

I contact another smaller furnace company who explained the following: they would come out the same day to replace a $500 part that would extend the life of the furnace another 5-10 years. They clearly explained that this was a safe option and there was absolutely no reason to replace the entire furnace.

I would do what it takes to keep my family comfortable and happy, but taking advantage of people to sell expensive products is uncalled for.

Mr. Furnace went above and beyond my expectations with my problem. My furnace died in the middle of the night, 2 nights ago when I was at work. The service call came out and confirmed my furnace was toast. Then they showed what kind of a great company they are.they offered to loan us (free of charge I may add) space heaters to keep my home warm in the -4°C temperature until they could come work their magic. They completely replaced (installed and running) my furnace well under 24 hours from the time of order / purchase, with payment options that suited my fanancial needs. I've always been impressed with the service they provide, as they have been my water heater guys as well. The installers, Vincent and Steve were very courteous, personable and professional. They were efficient, clean and very polite. They did an awesome job! Give these guys a raise! I would highly recommend Mr. Furnace to anyone in need of maintainance or high quality product replacement. 5 all the way!

I would like to acknowledge the excellent work done by Steven of Mr Furnace Heating & Air conditioning. Steven was very professional and explained the type of diagnostic service needed to determine my problem of no heating at the house. He scheduled the service required, explained the costs associated with the service and promptly got back to me the following day with his finding and a resolution of the problem. My furnace went down late at night and I decided to call Mr Furnace. I spoke to Matthew on the phone who was incredibly helpful and understanding of me needing an urgent repair. He was able to arrange for a service man to come to me within 30 minutes, which was amazing. The service worker, Claude, was able to get my furnace up and running and was extremely friendly. I was very pleased though the entire process.

Brian did a fantastic, thorough job in a highly professional manner. He answered all of my questions and explained how to charge our nest thermostat-even lending me a cable to facilitate charging. I would be more than happy to have Brian look after all of our maintenance needs. Thank you Brian.

Very prompt answering messages. Service in a timely manner as per my schedule. Recommendations but no really hard sell for new equipment. Service man Claud worked his magic and got rid of the very loud startup noise.

On December 19,2021 we had heating issues in our rental home. The Landlord called Mr. Furnace and the issue was resolved. The service repair person, AJ, was courteous and very professional. He showed and explained all that was to be done before repairs were initiated. Within the hour he replaced a cracked flamed igniter and a flame sensor and had us running and warming up nicely. Will definitely use them again.

Aj came for the seasonal maintenance. He was attentive, and informative, and super friendly and easy to talk to. Directed me with instructions on what I may have to pay attention for in the near future and left me feeling good and ready for the winter.

DO NOT WASTE MONEY WITH A MAINTENANCE CONTRACT. After having maintenance completed on a Monday, my elderly mother in law had no heat Tuesday. Mr Furnace returned only to quote her almost $1000 to replace the controller board that worked fine prior to their maintenance the day before. And this is not the first time she got a $1000 quote for parts after a maintenance service Mr Furnace completed. A complete system that Mr. Furnace installed in 2009.

Last November I had a furnace maintenance service call that I was not satisfied with. I requested a complete re-do and Mr. Furnace dispatched (at no cost to me) Claude to my home. He has been to my home several times in the past. He gets the job done in a timely and very professional manner and reviewed the results with me before I signed off on the service call.

Very respectful and friendly. Told us everything that was being done. Showed us pictures of before and after. Would definitely recommend using this service.

I had the pleasure of working with Steve B with an issue related to my Furnace and Water Heater drainage point. Steve arrived within the window specified and I was always notified ahead of time of when he would be heading my way. So I had time to be ready if I was away from the house at the time. He recommended a permanent fix to my issue rather than the temporary one I had been thinking of and at only a very small amount more than what I was set to pay for the temp fix, which was a huge weight off my shoulders. On that first meeting he was able to help me minimize the issue while the parts necessary for the fix arrived, another huge help! Within a week of his initial visit, the repair has been completed and everything is working great. Not to mention his customer service was great, he’s super tall with a very friendly personality; a gentle giant to the core!

I had been recommended Mr. Furnace by a close friend who owns multiple properties in the Niagara region and I can clearly see why he uses their services. Top notch work and a big sigh of relief right before the holidays. Thanks again Steve B!

Our standard maintenance appointment was immediately detected as potentially unsafe due to some faulty equipment. Our tech, Matthew, then focussed on keeping us safe, and offered us some options which though not ideal, we're necessary. Matthew returned the next morning, on his day off, to complete the job, and was empathetic, upbeat and efficient the entire time. We were grateful and relieved to know that less than 24 hours, after one of the first coldest nights of the year, we were set, safe and warm. Thank you, Matthew!
