Mr. Greek

First time ordering took more the 30 min. Second time they told me for a single to go meal would be more then 20 min to prepare. Thought Uber would be faster, nope just waited a hour and a half for two meals. Will never go to this place again. Shouldn't wait that long for mediocre fast food.

I just ordered a chicken and rice gyro bowl with a salad and recurved a blasphemy of a meal.my rice was cold and the chicken was blackened to a crisp.not impressed.after opening my salad i was even further disappointed when i found a huge chunk of the stem of lettuce in my salad.all of this and a wrap for the low price of 35 dollars.absolutely unacceptable.a 20 minute wait in an empty restaurant for a beyond sub par meal.an incredible waste of time and money.will NOT be coming back.

Ordered chicken souvlaki with Mr Greek fries and seasoned vegetables and baklava on uber. The restaurant took full 45 minutes to prepare the food and yet my seasoned vegetables comprised 80% of large wedges of uncooked and underseasoned zucchini. The Greek fries which are supposed to be fries with a red sauce and feta and sound delicious were packaged in an awful manner. Instead of providing the sauce separately, all three were tossed together resulting in the limpest fries soaked in sauce. It seems like restaurant has no interest in the eating experience of its client. The chicken was nothing to write home about. Only the tzatziki was nice. The baklava was okay. For a $36 meal before delivery charges or tip - the food was dismal.

Unfortunately the chicken souvlaki was tight and had a burnt grease taste. I think the tzatziki was left out too long and the fries were soggy. Was not enjoyable at all.

I think this place has more potential. The workers there's seemed like they could use another worker with them. They were working hard but things needed to be addressed like unwaited tables, ran out of cutlery, drinks were warm bc they werent in the fridge. The food was good though which is what matters.

Nov 2023- Sitting here for over a half hour waiting for a Gyro wrap and Souvlaki wrap. This is supposed to be a "fast food" restaurant. This is ridiculous!

Was not very impressed today. Took forever to get my food and no dressing for the salad!

Update- Went twice to get the pork souvlaki for lunch. They never have any made ahead and both times it was raw.

All I know is I waited 30 minutes for a basic meal, and I was one of two people in the place.

That’s what I expect to wait in a an actuall restaurant, not something more in line with fast food.

They seem to be too busy dealing with deliveries to deal with the people actually there.

On top of that, I was just blown away by the price.

I paid 20 dollars for a basic meal.

It was okay eating here. We were shocked at the cost of 2 meals being $50 after taxes though. It was my first time eating at one. The food was good, and servers did bring food to our table, but for the portions paid, it did feel a bit small for the Slovaki skewers. Atmosphere was nice, with TV's in the main eating area. Would consider this place for occasional dining.

This has been the best meal ever, the presentation was superb, cooked to perfection. Gyro pita and classic chicken dinner was awesome. Thank you for a wonderful lunch and excellent wine - we shall return!

Always a good selection of delicious food (seasoned and grilled nicely), friendly staff, and a calm atmosphere. Price-wise, a meal for two isn't what it used to cost (and somehow portions seem smaller, though still very filling), but this is understandable during these times. Regardless, it's a good "home-cooked meal" alternative to the regular fast food options.

Only Greek spot in Barrie with quality menu. Friendly onwers and staff, clean and good greeky vibes. Good for family and kids. Their Soulaki and Gyro is must try with the tasty Tatziki.

Recently dined here. Had a variety of mouth-watering dishes, and the menu was budget-friendly. Also, The staff were polite and attentive. I highly recommend this place for a memorable dining experience.

Freshly prepared dishes, hot and crispy. But a bit expensive. Rice, vegetables and cake cost $10 with $5 combo of sweet potato + soft drink. Helpful staff.

I used to eat at Mr Greek often. I hadn’t visited any locations since 2019. Prices have skyrocketed, quality down the drain, the roasted veggies didn’t even have salt, barely roasted, they asked me how I like my lamb, I said medium rare; it was solid cooked through, very tough. The chicken shawarma was a disaster, not cut correctly, nothing about it tasted like shawarma. The calamari was a disaster, both types, bbq and breaded. The bbq calamari wasn’t fully cooked. The bottle of Diet Coke was ok. Avoid at all cost!

That was a smallest Gyro I've ever had.
The meat was barely warm and I paid for and didn't receive any feta cheese. Check your orders before leaving to see if you were shortchanged too. Not going back.

Worst ever. I love Mr Greek food but this location was TERRIBLE! Dirty, slow, rude and the worst was the food. Stay away! I thought it was just the day I went but I tried again a month later and it was the same. That’s on me.

Had a nice stop in at the local Mr. Greek that went pretty well. All the food was delicious. The Classic Chicken with Rice and Vegetables will satisfy anyone. The rice was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The potatoes are a simple but perfect side and the Super Green Salad is a must try. The bits of pear in the Super Green was an excellent touch.
All the ingredients were fresh, crisp and tasty. The chicken was freshly cooked to order. The Greek Salad starter was a great appetizer. The service staff was friendly, helpful and accurate. I only wish the A/C was turned up higher. I was sweating the whole.

The overall valued experience here is good

It's alright. Lately the wait times have been pretty long, and they often run out of gyro long before close. If you need a Greek fix it'll do the trick, but not if you're in a hurry

45 minutes for two gyro's. Customers were missing their minds. No service at all. Manager East on his computer the whole time the poor girl was trying deal with the line up.avoid this place.

Horrible experience. First off. The music that should be played at any greek restaurant is most definitely greek. Not another cultures music. Second. Horrible service and way over cooked food. What happened. This was normally a good place to eat. But now I'm never going back.

The price is not worth the food and wait time. It feels like they are still in covid time and mostly serve UBER and DoorDash. I was sitting inside the restaurant and waited about 40 to 50 minutes for my order while delivery guys were picking up orders every few minutes. Food is fine, not the best and deftly not 20$ for chicken plate.
