Let's try and gouge the unsuspecting customer.

Noticed my winter tire valve core was sticking when I was topping up the air. Passed a Mr. Lube and inquired how much was it to change. It's a simple task that tire shops charge a nominal fee or do it for free. He quoted $60 which I was shocked and when I said no, he reduced it to $40.

On Amazon you can buy a lifetime supply of valve core plus tools for $10. While I was at Costco, I wandered over to the tire crew and asked the mechanic. Free.pull up, 15 seconds to screw and re-screw, 20 seconds to fill up with the escaped air and we are done.

Scanning the reviews after I posted this initial message, it's filled with 1 stars over the last month of the location ripping off (look at yelp) customers telling them additional service is needed and doing a poor job at it too. I would strongly recommend staying away. I wouldn't be surprised if they were paying people to post great reviews because they seem questionable.

Every time I come here these guys try to upsell stuff that isnt required. When u resist, they begin to insist and pester you till u accept. I think thats tantamount to fraud!

They changed my car's mileage on their system (added about 100,000 kms) to show most of the major overhauls are long overdue (shown in bright red on their monitor). If this isnt fraud, what is?

They tried selling me an expensive automatic transmission service on my manual gear vehicle! If that isnt fraud, what is?

They changed my service interval from every 8,000 kms to every 4,000 kms without telling me, so I come in for a service twice as many times as was needed. If this isnt fraud, what is.

These guys made me feel as though my tires will burst in the next 5 seconds and kept on insisting i shud buy new tires from them immediately. Its been 6 months now with my old tires n they run well. Nothing has burst. They looked at the same old tires during my latest visit and they didnt find anything wrong with them this time. This means the tires were not worn out the first time either. If this isnt fraud, what is.

They tried upselling me to change a particular part costing $160 + tax. When I didnt budge, they began insisting again and again and again then came up with a "special $20 discount for today only". Guess what? Amazon sells the same part for $20 inclusive of tax. Even if you add labor charges, the price wouldnt inflate to $160 + tax. Amazon's price was $20 inclusive of tax for the exact same part (brand and size). If this isnt fraud, what is?

I wonder why they never open the new oil container in front of me. They always show the already open container. If they were truly honest they would open the seal of the new oil container in front of me. But they never do that. Are they refilling the used bottles with the cheap regular oil but charge for the fully synthetic oil?

They did the winter undercoating for me which took less than 10 mins and I didnt even smell any oil. In comparison, my brother took his car to his own mechanic and the undercoating took quite a bit of time, they needed special masks to breathe through, and the car was smelling of oil for a long time. I dont think mr lube guys did the undercoating but charged me anyway.

One thing about these guys is they are polite and friendly for sure. I guess this is part of their 'overall act' to gain the client's trust before their upsell begins for stuff that isnt needed. They keep reminding you about their FREE wi-fi so u get busy on your phone and loose track of what they are doing.

I dont trust them any more. I dont know if this trust can ever come back. Because EVERY time i have gone to them, they come up with something new that isnt even needed.like the auto transmission service on a manual car, tire replacements that are desperately needed, and changing the mileage on their system so everything looks overdue!

I had my brake lights changed at this location and met with the mechanics who were amazing. Daniel was the one who changed my brake lights…he was very patient, courteous, and provided an excellent service. He made sure my brake lights were working. I did provide the bulbs and did not charge for the service. If I could, I would give him 10/5. Thanks Daniel, I would be returning for my oil change.

Today I went in for tire change, I told the manager Mr Dheeraj I was having issues with the tire manufacturer and he gave me a quite good advice about how to deal with them and save a lot of money. Quick and satisfying service I appreciate how hard those guys working.

I just moved to Toronto and recently bought a 2013 used car. Being new to the area and with a new vehicle I was nervous where to go for maintenance. I’ve never been to any Mr. Lube before as I took my previous car to my mechanic for everything. But having moved I needed to find somewhere new. I can’t begin to describe the high level of service from this place. I was helped by Mukul and Fateh who did such a great job and checking my car and showing me what needed attention and what was in perfect condition. They were friendly, Covid safe, and went out of their way to show their work and develop trust with their customers. They were quick, professional offered helpful advice. While I live in Toronto I’ll definitely be going here for all my car maintenance and services. 10/10 guys! Keep up the good work!

This is my go-to location for awesome service for either an oil change or tires. In my experience, they are a terrific team and I am grateful for the great service I have received here, which keeps me coming back!

Competent and skilled service for a good price in a timely fashion. Our family vehicles ended up with an inexplicable flat tire on a Sunday, with very few tire or repair shops open asides from oil change services. We flagged the issue with the manager and the technician, and they found a nail I hadn't been able to spot when I'd looked, and patched the tire up for $39 on top of an oil change I needed anyway. The tech took pictures and everything to let me see. That said, Mr. Lube's business model definitely includes trying to upsell on spark plug and air filter replacements etc.so I did not to bat off a couple items. To be clear, these things were nearing the end of their lifespan, so this was good info and a good reminder, although I'm inclined to buy the part myself and drop it in.

Came down for a last min oil change. I came right by the closing time. Arpit was kind enough to take in last minute client. He was very friendly and hospitable.
Everything was done quickly.
Would highly encourage this location and Arpit.
He does deserve recognition.

Arrived at 3pm for an off rim tire change. Didn't get seen til 7pm. Didn't leave the business til 8: 30pm. Sat for three hours with two cars in front of me that weren't even looked at yet. The poor guy on tire changes was by himself. Manager gave me $30 off and apologized for the wait. But call in some back up staff next time. Or have the other guys in the shop help out. Was a huge waste of time.

Had my tires changed yesterday morning. Very happy with their service though the wait was longer than expected. The two guys who handled my case were very professional and patient with me. Also, the kid who changed my tires was a very nice kid. Wish him all the best in his studies and will become a good mechanic for the neighbourhood.

Sketchy practices. I was going to be charged $49.99 for an oil filter which I was charged $18.99 at my last Mr. Lube oil change last year. Good thing I caught it. I knew over $160 for a simple oil change was way too much to pay. Also one of the employees told me that location doesn’t do undercoating when I was charged for undercoating at my last visit there. All around sketchiness. They also asked me to park in the parking lot to wait my turn then forgot about me until I got out of my car and waved at them when they were about to direct someone else ahead of me. The length of time for an oil change was over an hour. I was parked inside with no one working on the car much longer than I was parked with anyone working on my car. I will avoid this place at all costs. Even my family member I was with suggested I do not come back.

Flat tires make me go there especially when i read a good review about this location but my experience wasn't what i expected, when they checked the tire they said i have to replace it, it can't be repaired and i have to change 2 of them which cost me around $300 i said okay they asked me to comeback after noon because they need to order tires so i have to go and comeback, i went there around 2: 00 they asked me to wait after half hour i went to their office to ask what's going on, the guy said oh sorry we didn't order the right tires so you need to comeback tomorrow ; (. After half an hour i found myself in front of Midas and it took me half an hour to repair my tire for $50 only so i saved$250

Jimmy took care of my car. Services are well priced and I like how you sit in the car and watch them service your car and they also triple check what they do. They recommend extra services but that’s depends on if you want to do it. Overall good service, quick and efficient. Will be returning to them.

I had a punctured tire, and couldn't get in anywhere to get it fixed. This place was packed with people getting their winter tires off, and they still managed to get my tire repaired and get me on my way in an hour. These guys really hustle, but they were friendly and kind the whole time. I highly recommend and will definitely go back for other car work.

Took forever to change offer tires. Insisted the rims w we re too dirty to apply stick weights.

More like Mr. Noob! Where do I start with this pathetic place. Went to get a simple service done, change my winter tires. You think that would be simple but not for the incompetent staff at Mr lube. The boy approached my car pretending he is professional saying it would take 3 hours to change this tire. Ok I said I'll leave the car there. What happened next was a series of walking back and forth from my car to that horrendous dirty office to try to get me the right price. Witnessed a big argument with another client who was displeased with his tire change claiming they scratched his rims. Now I'm told to go back to the car and wait there for pricing. Almost an hour of this non sense and the guy wasnt even doing anything! I decided to leave and guess what nobody even cared! Wasted my work time. How embarrassing are these people. Not to mention the guy on the phone gave me a different cheaper price than in person. Who are these people and why are they allowed to touch our cars. Never again!

Excellent and friendly service! Risha was such a calm, confident and pleasant attendant! I joked about coming so close to closing (I came at 7: 20 - they close at 8. But you know an oil change + extras take a bit). He said, even if I came at 7: 55 he would have serviced me. I would never come that close, but regardless had a nice little giggle. I’ve had my oil changed on my Audi Q7 twice from here.the first time I took my car for an oil change, the mechanic dropped a wrench into the engine bay. I asked him to take it back out since I did not want to deal with any rattling and he pretended like it never happened. Eventually he admitted it. About 4 other mechanics spent three hours taking apart the heat shield and looking for the wrench. After 3 hours we found the wrench. I really appreciated the fact that someone took accountability and fixed the issue. My heat shield was wrecked and rattling after the incident and I had it fixed separately. I decided to give them a second chance and went back on the 2nd week of November.after the oil in my car was changed, the electronic dip stick was reading low. I asked why that is and the mechanic told me that all the bottles he had used were only 70% full. My car takes about 6 cans of euro synthetic.once the 6 cans are poured the electronic dip stick should always read max.they topped up my oil and off I went. I always purchase two extra 1 litre cans since my engine requires top ups in between oil changes. When I got home I realized the two extra cans I’ve purchased had been opened, the seals were broken, and the cans are actually only 70% full.why is that? How is this even possible? How do I even know if this is euro synthetic oil? I’ll be heading back and asking for a review of this incident. This place is absolutely ridiculous and there must be some sort of fraud or sketchy activity happening. I have photos, bills to prove it. Pretty sure a camera review would backup both my incidents. Looking for an immediate review and resolution of this event

Got my oil change service today and was surprised as to how they do their service. In car service and honestly it was a great experience. I definitely would get my car serviced here again!

I had a great experience with my recent oil change. I had to wait 45 minutes, but only because there was a car ahead of me. They did point out some additional things I could change or purchase because of my mileage, but I did not feel pressured at all. After the service, the manager also helped me reset my change oil light. I would come back here again.

Very unprofessional and unorganized. I went there to have a tire repaired and it took them 2.5 hrs.to patch a tire for me. They have their greeter also doing the tire repairs and so every time a car pulls up, he immediately stops what he's doing and goes and greets each of them. Then he proceeds to go back and forth into the shop, wasting 15 minutes each time, running around for someone else. Needless to say, a 15 minute job, now turned into 2.5 hrs.to complete. NEVER AGAIN!

Was able to get my winter tire installed as a walk-in vs. Minimum 1 month wait time at nearby Costco.

Staff are very nice. A little busy this time I went in as everybody's getting their snow tires on but they still fitted me in without an appointment for an oil change and free wiper blades. So I think that's awesome Thank you very much.

Absolutely amazing service! I brought my jeep gladiator to get undercoated. I had washed it from mud but the underbody was still dirty. They power washed the whole underbody completely before doing the undercoating. Extremely impressed with the service they have gone above and beyond!

I liked the idea that you don’t need an appointment, and called to ask if it was ok if tires were off rims. Got there at opening (2nd to arrive) but was told I needed to wait until they did some of the on rims, overall took over 150 mins. Wouldn’t recommend.

Last Sat, Oct 16/21, I went for an oil change at Mr lube Thorncliffe & was assisted by Arpit. He was amazing, explained why I need to change air filter, maintenance service oil & much more. I also had a vulcanized service from him & gave me a very good deal for all services. He even gave me a free windshield wiper. I was late for my work but it was all worth it. And I'm very satisfied / happy. Thank u Arpit. Mr lube is very lucky to have u, an efficient, hardworking, honest & empathetic employee. I am giving more than 5 stars.till next time.

As an American I was hesitant to go her for maintenance service since places like this are notoriously dishonest in the US. But I found them very professional and trustworthy. Just be prepared for an upsale. To their credit though I can say that everything try tried to sell me on was in fact truthful. I just don't like being handled by salesmen unless it is a serious safety issue. But I understand that is how they make their money. I also don't buy anything with price matching and they did try to sell me tires at a price that was twice what I could have gotten at Canadian Tire.

Great service, very efficient and quick. Even though it was rush hour (and we definitely picked the slow bay) we were in and out in decent time.

Went in for tire change and under coating, the service was very quick and Aman was helpful and professional. Will definitely revisit the place.

I came to Mr. Lube and was met by Gazi who worked with me. I explained that I needed the transmission fluid replaced. He was professional and took the time to explain to me what he would be doing and the costs involved. Nothing was initiated until they got the okay from me. They noticed that I also needed my spark plugs replaced and so they advised me on that as well. They got the job done in good time, keeping me informed. It was a good experience.

Have been a regular oil change customer at the Overlea Mr Lube for a couple years but wanted to give a big thumbs up for today’s visit. Oil change/tire rotation was done by Shan - he was professional, responsive, thorough and kind. He also knew not to push the up-sales when I made it clear I was only there for the service I’d requested. It is service professionals like Shan who make it easy to support businesses like this Mr Lube location. Big thumbs up for Shan!

Came in to get an oil change, the staff was friendly and explained everything they were doing step by step. Mukul was the main mechanic I was dealing with, but all the guys working were very helpful, great with communication, couldnt ask for an easier experience. Keep up the great work guys!

I had a spike in my rear back tire on Sunday 9 th of may 2021. I went there and the staff welcome me to fix that issue. Not only had I my tired fixed but also I had the filters and oils changed. I have to thank Ghazi, employee of thorn cliffe park’s Mr lube, for his professionalism and great service.
I will visit this place again and I recommend to everyone!

If you only need a oil change don't go there, They are constantly pressuring you to buy more. When you say no to the first guy another one will.one along & try to sell you again on the same service you said no to. When I told them I only wanted an oil changed and nothing else they made me pay for the oil filter & didn't even take into consideration the $10.00 coupon that I gave them. The bill cost me $20.00 more then it should have. They are aggressive and dishonest I do not recommend this Mr Lube

DESTROYED ALL 4 RIMS ON MY NEW CAR
First let me start by saying, I seem to be in the minority of people who actually really liked this place. I have been coming here since moving to the area for all basic oil changes and tire changes, and their staff have always been professional and courteous, and generally nice dudes to chat with. In the dozens of times I have come here, I haven't so much as complained about a thing.

With that said, I recently replaced my old car with a 2015 Civic Si Coupe. This car comes with 18 inch alloys that when I purchased the car were MINT. This is the newest car I have ever owned, and I have been babying her since the purchase just 2000km ago. I went for an off rim tire change, just to swap my winters for all seasons on Sunday April 28th. This was done, and I left imminently, as I was in a rush.

The following day, while approaching my car, I noticed that my rim had DEEP scratches and chips ALL around the outside of it. Upon further inspection, I noticed all 4 rims had this. These scratches were not there the day prior, so I drove there immediately to address my concerns. I spoke to who I believe was the General manager, who was polite enough, but unfortunately, he denied all accountability. He then asked that I come back today to speak with the rep who performed the tire change.
As a resolution, he offered me a free oil change. An OIL CHANGE, in exchange for my ruined rims.

While at a glance, to the untrained eye it may look like it COULD be curb rash, however, there are several distictions differentiating the damage they caused. For one, the fact that the markings are all around the rim on all 4 corners. This is rare, but possible, sure. The tires have 0 markings, which would be present had I hit a curb hard enough to cause such damage. And most of all, the markings and chips themself are distinct, and when compared side by side to wheels with actual curb rash, you can see that these were NOT caused by this. Not to mention I have a 360 video of the car taken days before, and not a single scratch is showing up. Now, while taking a video with the same phone, from the same distance, the scratches show up clear as day.

I am currently building a case for smalls claims court against them, as I refuse to let them deny accountability for damaging my new car. Thus far I can prove it was not done by a curb, that they weren't there prior, AND thast they have been the only shop to have touched my rims since purchasing the car. I have testimonials ready from my regular mechanic, who has inspected the car since I have purchased it, and have no doubt in my mind that a court of law will see without a shred of doubt that they are at fault after reviewing all of the evidence I will be presenting.

I'm sorry to the staff that have always been kind and treated me with respect, however, this is something that I can't stand for, and I will be advising everyone and anyone to avoid this place like the plague. I couldn't imagine if I had a more expensive car, with titanium or carbon fibre wheels. But even the $1200 it would cost to replace these rims (or $800 used) is far more than I am willing to incurr for someone else's carelessness.

Walmart asked for 120$ (including tax) for full sunthetic including filters.
Tire change (on rims) - 60$ including tax
This guys asked for 145 plus tax for the same job,

These guys asked for 79 before tax.

You do the math. I asked them if the price changes based on location he said yes out side of the province.

Always VERY friendly, fast service. The employees here clearly enjoy what they do, and I specially like working with the young Sikh gentleman (I don't know his name but he's incredibly friendly!).

I just had a great experience at this location. Mr Owais was my Technician and he impressed me with his professionalism. I would recommend this Mr Lube for oil changes.

I am very disappointed by a staff member not all but one I know I am not paying customer and yes he tried to show he was helping but if you are offering help listen to the concern completely and help not flirt or fool around! I told the staff to check the air in my cycle because i have had my tire pop due to excessive air.he didnt even check properly and not even listen to me. Just as I was scared my tire popped in middle of no where and was left carry my bike back home. I cant just cant so mad and angry this was all preventable! But his incompetency and attitude to work affected me! And now I have to pay my time and money cant even say anything to them!

I can't believe how fast the service was! I had been going to Green + Ross in Scarborough for years but lately the service seems to have diminished. Everytime I go it takes hours to change my tires. This year, they told me I might have to leave my car overnight!

By contrast, I showed up at this Mr. Lube after 7pm, and saw they were open till 8pm. They changed my tires, fixed a broken tail light, and topped up my oil in under an hour, after a mere 10 minute wait! I inquired about changing my oil and when I decided against it, they didn't push me but just topped off my pil! By the time they were done it was after 8pm and when I commented to the manager that this was fantastic service, so fast, he said, they were supposed to be closed a while ago but wouldn't turn a customer away. Amazing service! I am DEFINITELY going back:)

Excellent service. They definitely up sold me, and that might put some people off. But, I did not feel in any way ripped off by the upselling. In fact I feel like they were just looking out for the cars needs. They expressed concern about an issue, clearly explained why it was important to address, were upfront about the pricing, and did not push back on a no answer when given.

Got my tires changed from winters to summers and they were professional, delivered a newspaper and coffee while I waited. The only issue I have is under the Mr. Lube brand, they deemed my car high end when it’s a VW golf. That resulted in a increases price to change the tires rather than one not in the high end category.

I went into get my oil changed and they inform me that I need new spark plugs but the ones I need aren't in stock and I'll need to come back tomorrow. When I do come back I'm told to pull around front and someone will be with me. I have now been waiting for over an hour and nothing has been done. This is unacceptable.

I always have an EXCELLENT experience at the Leaside/Overlea location. The staff team are excited/enthusiastic about their jobs and are really friendly and warm. I love that I don't have to make an appt and I just show up. When i have to switch my summer/winter tires, i have tried going to other big "Canadian" retail "Tire" places and they tell me they are booked out by 2 weeks. I come to Mr Lube Leaside and they do it on the spot with a smile.

Worst service ever. Told me wait time is 10-15, and took 1 hour before I could get any service. They lie to you about wait time just to get your business. Last time coming here.

Really friendly staff come and greet you as you pull up with a free paper for your wait. They kept me updated on how long it was going to take which was nice. Good service, I’d recommend for sure.

This location has always apprentices that end up screwing up your vehicle for not being knowledgeable enough. Just to mention some: About 3 months ago, they recommended me to do a coolant flush to avoid overheating. The person who did the job, did not put things back properly. Some of the coolant ended up on his colleague's face right there when the hose came off. Later after I left, about 5-6 kilometers later the whole thing came off and caused an engine damage for overheating. My engine light is on and who knows how much will cost me to fix the problem. I had to go to another mechanic to do the coolant flush service and spend money again for the same issue.
Last time I went there for servicing the car, about a month ago, I gave them my wind-chill wipers asking them if they could put them on. The guy said yes, but not only he didn't, but also he made them disappear. I noticed only after leaving the place. Didn't bother to go back. During that visit, they also recommended me to do COOLANT FLUSH! Even though they had done it only a couple of months ago, causing me all the mess! They had no report of it! According to them, it was done years ago, when I did not even own that car!
A few months ago, they also insisted that I did rust proofing, which I had done only the previous winter.
The only manager who is really well mannered and knowledgeable, is the gentleman called Zaman.
I guess I should change the service store.

It seems to be that something always goes wrong with my car every time I visit here. I went for an oil change 2 weeks ago and now have a massive fuel leak that is costing me $1200 to fix. They are very unprofessional and pushy, extremely untrustworthy with their recommendations as well. The things I need them to look at are ignored and forgotten because they are so busy trying to find issues that aren't there.

Further to this, they dropped a bolt in my vehicle and lied about what was happening and I could clearly see the panic on 6 of their faces trying to find it. I will not be going back.

I have to admit, I am very pleasantly surprised with the service I got at this Mr. Lube. I went in for a last-minute winter wheel change over. I didn't have to wait long even through it was a weekend. The service was super fast and professional - very refreshing after years of going to other places where the service people drag their feet and you have to wait weeks just to get the car in. Wali oversaw my service - very friendly and great to deal with. Besides the wheels, they checked a few other things and were not pushy when I decided to go with one other change and deferred the others. I will definitely return for my next scheduled service and post feedback then.

Mr lube the slowest lube place in Scarborough. Unorganized messy and the guys have no idea what they are doing.waited an hour and a half for the guy infront of me to get his tires (on rims) swapped and an oil change. Only reason I ever come here is for an emission test. UPDATE the guy infront of me they put his wheel/lug nuts on backwards they took so long the emission machine shut down for the night so I ended up waiting an hour and a half for nothing NEVER COME HERE unless you want a bunch of no minded people working on your car

I was very unhappy with the service. I took them 55 minutes to change the oil! First, they didn't know how to open the cover of my engine. Then, they said "oh we don't get so many dissel cars here, we need check our system" so many unnecessary steps. Not coming to Mr. Lube again.

I come here regularly for oil change changes, tire rotations, and most recently to have a large screw removed from my tire and subsequently repaired. I’ve interacted with AKI several times and am always very happy with the service I receive. Thank you!

Went in for lube n filter. Came out with lube n filter in 15 mins.
Bit pricey but they are fast n save time.

Wanted just a patch of tire 40$ they ended up replacing both tires charged a total with tax of $357. Watched the tech attempt to take off tire and watched him snap the ratchet in half breaking his own tool. Was quoted 140 for tire than to be told it it will cost 280. Than again later on told there is charge added extra for install along with added taxes. Easily had to fix a patch but they use up sell tactics and hustle their clients for shame.
They requested undercoat treatment for rust which they said would take 5-6 min. Clearly the rust is past the galvanized coat so the treatment would be useless charge of undercoat for 5-6 min job is 129 plus tax. Scam and con business do not use service unless u have money to throw away

Used to come here regularly for an oil change, however the last couple times I went I was disappointed. The employee that was looking after asked me why I didn't get him a coffee after seeing a Tim's cup in my hand, then insinuated my car was a piece of junk (2012 FFocus, in great cond). They always try to upsell you products or services like undercoating, engine flush, they'll tell you your car is burning oil when it's not. They hire kids straight out of high school who don't seem very adept, and the price of an oil change always increases from $50 to almost $100. This place and all Mr. Lubes in my opinion are a RIP off. Take your car elsewhere, there are better service centers with better pricing. Dissatisfied.
