I pulled up wanting just a regular oil change. 5w30 for my boyfriend's Honda. I didn't want synthetic. I didn't want additives. I just wanted a regular quick oil change. I was told the transmission is leaking and that my engine is leaking. Honda's don't do well with additives. Honda vehicles are better treated with OEM products. My brother drilled this into me. He's a Honda tech. Despite saying I didn't want additives, I was given oil thickener. I refused an engine flush. Honestly, Honda just did a scheduled engine service on the engine not long ago. Oddly enough, they never brought up this sludge issue. Price. Price was high. I was charged $134.41 for a simple oil change. At those prices, I might as well just take my car into Honda in the future. Then to add insult to injury, I was pushed into making a review to get a $10 off coupon.
You know, this was a horrible experience for me. I didn't feel in control or like I had much say. The technician spoke fast and had an accent making it hard for me to understand him.
For a simple oil change, I was expecting $60 + tax. At the most I thought maybe $85.
Not what I got.
After the oil change, the light on the dash wasn't even reset for me. I had to look it up on YouTube! Smh
I don't recommend. I felt pushed around.

I've been using this Mr Lube for years now, and I have to say I am extremely dissapointed by my visit on Sunday (Easter). It was 4.15 and they close at 5, more than enough time for a quick oil change, there was 1 car in the garage, he told us to pull up right behind that car and then asked us what service we wanted then went to talk to another guy. 5 minutes later he comes to us and says they don't have the air filter for our car, even though he never even opened the hood! How would he know if it had to be changed or not? I told him to just leave the filter and he said that they HAVE to change the filter every time which is a lie because I've been coming for years and if it's not necessary they don't change it. He kept persisting and told us to come back tomorrow. You don't have the filter today but you're magically going to have it express shipped to you on Easter Monday? Everything about this visit was so awkward and made us uncomfortable, even if he changed his mind I would not trust these men with our car. If you wanted to get off work early or relax for the last half hour that's fine but that was a pretty terrible lie.

Very impressed with the value I recieved. Manager and employees were helpful and quick. I noticed a positive work environment and a fast paced work ethic.
Will definitely be going back and will definitely recommend to friends that need their oil changed.

Horrible, they cross threaded my bolt. Literally just forced it In. When I went back because another shop, failed to get the bolt out. They said we wouldn't have done that. But they were the last place to do my oil. Garbage, everyone working there.

I got an oil change today and the price was double my normal price. I routinely change my oil and they tried to tell me that I must of changed it late because there was sludge on the inside of the cap under my hood… Then he proceeded to tell me he has to add all these additional things to my oil change.
1.) kleenflo engine flush
2.) kleenflo oil treatment
3.) kleenflo friction shield

Then he tried to explain saying it was based on my vehicles km that this is necessary and even the dealership I bought my car from is their recommendation…

Honestly the whole thing feels super shady to me. I will never return to this location again because I feel like I was lied to and charged for things that weren’t necessary. I feel like they took total advantage of me here.

Way more overrated and very expensive, 49.99$ for air filter without labour and tax, I bought for 19.99$ from Canadian tire, 69.99$ for cabin filter and I bought for 27 $ from Canadian tire, i am regretting I gone to mr lube to change mine accord spark plugs they charged 195 before tax, 165 for labour only (not worth it while just 1 person was working and it tooks almost 1 and half hour) so much fee for only labour, contrary if i gone for changing mine own spark plugs it will be going to cost me only 50-60 dollars.

Tooo expensive!

Price for an oil change is more expensive than other places, but you can't beat the convinence. No appointment necessary, you just drive up and are done pretty quickly. You don't even have to get out of the car!

Got my tires put off & on rims (winters), oil change & my air filer changed.
All the staff were great & treated my family & myself very courteous.

Tried to get me to change rear end oil it was already done? Wanted to change the cabin filter. It was fine? Went for an oil change two weeks later at a different place, and was told my cabin filter was all good no need to change? I'll never go back there.

Came to get the seasonal tire change, it was a bit of a longer wait as I believe only one or two people were allocated to that service. Though staff was very helpful and friendly. Overall a good location and service

Great service here. I was in line to get my winter tires put on, the line was moving slowly so two guys came out and changed my tires by hand in the parking lot

I had done oil change for my car in Mr. Lube Bryne drive, the service was great, Mr Prabh's service was outstanding, he explained everything. Recommended

Was in line behind 2 vehicles, vehicle in front of me turned into another bay so I pulled up. Then was told myself and others all had to back out because they directed the vehicle in front of me into the wrong bay. Absolute chaos and confusion. Then I get yelled at by the “manager” Vikas because they don’t know how to direct their customers. Save your time and hassle and go else where.

Few days ago, I got my transmission changed and the service was very easy and quick. It was affordable too. Awesome service must visit this Branch of Mr. Lube

Two days back, I got an oil change from this location. The staff was very friendly and supportive. The service was done very quickly. Also, I got free wiper blades so overall very happy with the last visit.

So just got an oil change from here. Very fast and clean service done by people here. They were all smiling and giving me a positive vibe. Definitely coming back. Thanks, guys.

308 000 km March 15th took vehicle in for transmission change wrong oil supplied back 2 days later for replacement hyundai atf
loose drain bolt x 2 spoke to manager he blamed
My mechanic when he was replacing alternator (said he's seen this many times at other shops) few months later take vehicle back at 358 000 km for another drain and fill (informed they wouldn't touch vehicle now and over km) took to another mechanic who advised me the levels were 1.4 litres below requirements.
Called back to Mr Lube and was informed they have no idea what happend and i suggested when they swtiched oils for the second time some was missed? No not mr lube there never at fault even head office won't make them reimburse the customers for there faults.
Stay away from any mr lubes at all costs

Terrible experience. My routine oil change turned into a $700.00 charge. Completely took advantage of me because I had a company vehicle. Do not recommend this location. BEWARE!

I would highly recommend this place. Very professional and ethical service. Vikas and Mitin are very humble and they know what they are doing. They did great job. Great people, great service.

I'm disappointed about the service. They changed my spark plug and transmission oil but weren't due for service. In my owners manual supposed to be done at 160,000km and I'm only 105,000km. They charged me $209.99 for the spark plug service. I lost my job due to Covid and got scammed by Mr. Lube.

Service is very good. The products used in service is of very high quality and I highly recommend this store for any car work.

The customer service at this location is amazing. Shasta was thorough and efficient. She also had a good sense of humour and made me feel at ease. She explained everything that she was doing and why. Other places I have been, I have felt pressured on upsales. This experience was different. I know more about cars than I did yesterday and understand the importance of all of the checks Mr. Lube does.

I went to this location on Friday, Shasta was my service advisor, she was very professional and explained everything she was doing in great detail. She was very friendly and knowledgeable and I left with feeling very confident in her work. I’ve been there several times and to me, she is your top employee. Will be returning because of her. Keep up the good work!

Ive been going here for the last seven years to get my oil changed and tires switched over. AWFUL service now that they sell tires. I waited five hours to get my tires changed and oil changed. They told me my winter tires that had only been used for two seasons had no tread left on them and I needed to buy new tires from them. They quoted me $1200. I did not purchase new tires. I went to two other shops who said my winter tires were fine and I could get another 2 seasons at least out of them. I will NEVER be going back there again. I believe its a new owner and new staff from the last times i've gone. Poor customer service, just trying to upsell you anything and everything. Do NOT recommend going here.

Will now refer to this place as Mr. Con artist for alot of reasons. The "Technician" told me my rear differential fluid for my all wheel drive needed changing for $150 when the unit is self contained, never needs changing and only needs repairs for when its leaking.

The same "Technician" told me they were to check my air filters as part of their oh so generous multi point vehicle check. The "Technician" used brute force to get my glove compartment open and ripped the cabin air filter while taking it out to "inspect". So now it has to replaced by them for 3x the price for a P. O. S filter.

They also use vocabulary and grammar to try and manipulate you and charge you an astronomical amount for a can of sea foam for an "engine clean and flush"

It's a shame I had to get my oil changed here while visiting family and ran out of time just to do it myself at home.

Atleast the synthetic oil change was competitivly priced. Only thing they got right. I saved myself Atleast $200 of unneccessary third party "fixes" that would probably have to be fixed by a dealership anyways but paid 300% more for air filters because of their lack of skill.

Dont go here.

I went to this Mr. Lube to get an oil change & was greeted with a professional atmosphere. Rahul was the advisor for my car, I was in & out in 15 minutes and even received a coffee upon my arrival!

My experience with this Barrie Mr. Lube was great, the staff is very friendly and they told me before hand that it will take a while until my turn comes up, the guy attended me was Amrinder, He did a great job and told me about some repairs that are necessary and needs to be done ASAP, he told me about my front passenger side shock leak and some other issues, and also did the engine oil and transmission oil change within 10-15 min which was fast, Amazing customer service, Thanks for the great experience. Will definitely recommend to my friends and family to come here.

I had a very good experience at Barrie Mr. Lube, the guy attended me was Roman, excellent customer service, just loved it.

From the time I arrived, even while waiting for a service bay to be available, I was greeted outside and told how long it would be before my tires could be changed to my stored Winter tires and at which bay. The associates that took care of the service dedicated their time to my vehicle from start to finish and I was very impressed with the efficiency, friendliness, and attention to detail. It was like I was part of a TV commercial that you think never is really like that. Well, it was! My seasonal tires are stored with Mr Lube and ready for the next time the switch is needed. No fuss, no muss, no handling and storing my own tires. Never left my vehicle for the whole process. Gotta love it!

I love going to this location! Mr. Lube meets all of my needs in one place. I just had an oil, Lube & filter. I even had my car undercoated. As a courtesy they sprayed my car door hinges, washed my windows & did a battery check. This was all done in fashionable time and I didn't have to wait to get my car serviced. What I love most is the fact I don't have to make an appointment, just drive in. Keep up the great work Mr. Lube crew.

I’ve been going to this Mr Lube location for the past 3-5 years. Service was always great but the past few times I’ve been there, the service and quality of service has drastically gone down hill. It felt like when I declined their extra services, they did the absolute bare minimum on my car.

I went in for an oil change and they did the checkup on lights and cabin air filter. They said I needed a new cabin filter but I told them that I have a family member who can change it for me. The guy at mr lube didn’t even shake some of the dirt out (I’ve taken my other car in 2 years ago and they shook out the air filter every time they checked if I didn’t want them to change it). When he put the air filter back in and closed up the glove box, he left all the stuff that was in the glove box that fell out, on my floor and didn’t even put anything back.
They used to check door hinges and grease those up but that past few times I’ve been there this year, they haven’t. I can understand them not doing this extra stuff when it’s busy with lineups but there was no one in any of the lines and half of the staff was standing around, chatting with each-other.

I used to love taking my car to mr lube cause I could easily trust them with my car but now it just seems like everything is so rushed just so they can get you out of their way. I think I will be finding a new place to get my oil changed.

I'm sad to edit my review this way. Previously, the staff here were amazing, always doing an excellent job. Now, however, I have to say the exact opposite.

I went to have my tires rotated, only to discover that NO anti-corrosion was used when they swapped my summer tires for winter tires (both sets have their own rims), and they were over-torqued. No anti-corrosion. In Ontario. In winter (October 2020 to be exact). Now I'm having to pay other people to hack away (my words not theirs) to get the tires off.

SO not impressed. And have started telling everyone I know to never use their services again. Not worth having to pay a small fortune to replace destroyed equipment (and several hours labour, again, just to take tires off).

Not good. Called, was told tires in stock. I'm now at Midas getting new tires. Not going to Mr Lube again.

They changed the oil in our car in 11 minutes. They also washed the windshield and added air to the tires. They showed the driver (my husband) the dipstick that the oil was new and at an appropriate level. I couldn't be more happy

Don’t use this place! I went there in December and they didn’t tighten the bolt to drain the oil.thank god the leak wasn’t bad enough to ruin my engine! And every time I phoned to complain to the manager, they blew me off!

Brutally slow service, no wonder there was a line up, 5 guys moving slower than molasses in February. Would have given Zero stars but that's not an option.

First they get you to start car before they've put any oil in, now I have an oil leak on a brand new vehicle with less than 15k on it

Very convenient, and the staff are friendly and professional. Each time I’ve stopped in, the mechanic breaks down what’s being done and updates me on the costs. I felt they were knowledgeable and transparent and I greatly appreciate the service.

I asked for my simple oil change that I always get and employe asked me to do engine cleaning and I said no Its okay I don't want that I just need my regular oil change and he did it always and was laughing saying he miss heard me but I still have to pay and he will do 10$ off and the manager was there watching and did nothing about it im never going back to this location again because I felt like I got take advantage of and not happy to pay 151$ for a 80$ oil change i always got.

*Edit* They have made the issue right, and I will continue to choose this location to service my vehicle*

Very disappointed. I've been coming to this location consistently for years. This time, I asked specifically for an oil change and transfer case fluid change (as it was due according to manufacturer's suggested maintenance). The guy said no problem - quoted the price and everything. Then he says to me a few minutes later, " we recommend a transfer case fluid change". I said yes, I want that. He said "oh we did the rear differential". I specifically said the transfer case. There is no recommendation by the manufacturer to change rear differential fluid. He apologized for the error, but I still had to pay. I never ended up doing the transfer case fluid so I guess I'll go to my dealer.

That's why you don't go to these fast oil change places I guess. Lesson learned.

Happy with the work the staff did oil change and Filter, tire rotation, topped up coolant (very low) thanks, and all other fluids. $360 of work BUT the truck is running great.

Service was over 30 minutes. Staff is very difficult to understand. Have been in the car now in the shop awaiting service for 15 minutes now

Today my husband and I took our car to change the oil. Vikas helped us explaining everything and he was very honest about everything! Loved the service from start to finish! They all are so nice and helpful and not sellsy at all:)

Awesome customer service. After an oil and cabin filter change. A sound was coming from my cabin because an acorn was logged in there. Even though they were already closed they brought my car in and removed the acorn.

I will never go anywhere else to get an oil change even though I live in Newmarket. I am beyond impressed with the service I received from John. He didn't pressure me into buying anything and explained to me what I need to watch out for. VERY friendly staff, even people that weren't servicing my car were still talking to me and making jokes and conversation. Thank you guys so much!

This was my first visit and likely will not return. I was told my oil change would take 15-20 minutes. I was there for over an hour. I was ripped off for the charge for 2 air filters. I questioned the service guy about buying the filters elsewhere and having them replaced by a mechanic friend. Was told the price would be the same. Big lie! Ended up costing me $100 for an air filter and cabin air filter (with $10 off) which I sourced out elsewhere, afterwards, for under $30 for both. I could have changed the filters myself. And they had me pay before seeing an invoice. Only positive note is the service guys were polite and friendly.

Although there was an initial wait, I am very pleased with my experience at Mr. Lube and will definitely return for service again. Tyler was very professional and thorough, and took the time to explain the services he was performing.

Amazing people wonderful service. I visited for a quick oil change and that is what I got. Genuine recommendations for my vehicles based on the mileage. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff.
