Mr. Lube + Tires

My girlfriend went in for a standard oil change and ended up with a bill of over 400 dollars. Mitchell the manager of this location took advantage of her inexperience with cars and manipulated her into thinking her car needed more services done and wouldn’t take no for an answer. He made her feel very uncomfortable and manipulated. Be honest Mr.lube don’t get other people to put good reviews to undermine the TRUTH.

Went for routine oil change and winter tire change on my Range Rover. Great guys, knowledgeable. Helpful and good service as always.

I would not go to any other Location as i am treated with dignity and respect. I will be a forever Customer keep up the good work and excellent customer service.

I seen some reviews mentioning their experiences and I also feel compelled to talk about my situation that I recently went through. I went in here for the service for a simple oil change, and the owner Mitchell was being very insistent on providing the service that day, despite expressing how I did not need the oil change to be provided right away, alongside other services I did not need or want. After us going back and forth he eventually convinced me to do the service right then.

As a woman I felt like I was placed in an uncomfortable situation because although I did not know much about cars I still knew that it wasn’t imperative for me to get the service done right away, but with my lack of knowledge he manipulated me & took advantage of me into believing it was what must be done right away. I wish I had stood my ground and had just never agreed to any service from this location and gone elsewhere because after the oil change was done, I was forced to pay $400 just for the simple oil change.

Once I expressed how I did not feel like that was a fair price for the service (on average: It typically costs around $50-$100) Mitchell still would not reimburse me any money & was being very condescending with the way he spoke to me. It was extremely frustrating because I was pressured into doing this service and even though I know the price I was charged was a complete ripoff there was nothing I could do to convince him otherwise. I was not expecting the service to be extremely cheap either however $400 is far too much.

First I was convinced into a service I did not want right away, then I was up charged triple the average price and finally Mitchell says that there was nothing he could have done even though he is the one who decided on the price. Although I do not know much about cars, I still believed I would be able to confidently go and get a simple oil change done without any issues. I found this entire interaction to be extremely unprofessional and conniving, I would never recommend this location and warn others of what goes on here. I hope you feel ashamed of yourselves knowingly taking advantage of a person and acting like there is nothing that could be done about it.

Went in for oil change and change of tires from snows to summer tires on rims. Wait was very short. Upper Service person was polite and courteous. Oil change seems to be fine.
Tire change was not done. 2 of my tires are older than 5 years but are in decent safe condition. Was told they couldn't put them on as there is an Ontario 'law' that they can't put on tires that are over 5 years old, and held some laminated piece of paper up which was supposed to be proof of this? Then they tried to sell me new tires. Upon checking with other places that service tires, there is no such 'law' or restriction. I went elsewhere to have the tires done.
Additionally, their invoice indicates a list of courtesy checks that are done as part of their service. I know that cabin air filter and wiper blades were not checked, so it doesn't give me any confidence that the other items were checked either.

Mitchell was excellent. His customer service was incredible.

Was at the place next door for oil change but they were busy for the rest of the day so came here & big difference.they had a spot open right away. Nothing wrong with the other place as far as I know just busy. This place is good when I went in this afternoon. Saif was the person I was talking with mostly. He & the other guys there did well. Got oil change done under 30 minutes & just under $70 total including taxes. I was worried about being pressured for a whole bunch of extras but they never did that at all which is a big relief.

They were very nice and pretty quick. I liked that they weren't pushy at all and they were very friendly.

Great crew, the guys were very knowledgeable, letting me know exactly what work I needed done. Service was super fast/efficient. Highly recommend bringing your vehicle here. 5 stars well deserved.

I have been to this location a few times and have had nothing but excellent service. The staff has always been friendly and explained their process as they went. I would highly recommend anyone visit this location if in need of quick, day-of service.

One of my rear signal light was off on Saturday afternoon. I drove by a few shops and they were all closed. Then I drove over to the mr. Lube on dundas to get it serviced. The young technician there was quick and professional. 10 minutes later I was on the road again and much safer. Recommended.

A little on the expensive side as most places are cheaper but Mr. Lube + Tires is open Sundays which is wonderful. The service was quick and reliable. Lost a star because my service report said the windows were cleaned and they definitely did not clean them.

Extremely over priced. They don't have prices listed anywhere and didn't provide a total until the tires were already off my vehicle. I paid over double the price I've paid elsewhere for both oil change and tire change. Extremely disappointed.

I just got my tires changed here and would highly recommend them! Same day service, just drove in and they were so kind and helpful. One particular worker Tyrell went above and beyond to provide amazing costumer service. He was so kind, resourceful and very considerate.

Great service, only thing is watch out for the one with the tacky so call locs as he is just an insecure little man with a small ego with a big mouth and no brain cells.

I bought my winter tires with rim. They offered me a very good deal on the entire package plus they installed it on the following day.

Had just left Nurse Chevrolet because they couldn't specify an amount of time for my oil change, even though we had an appointment booked. (this happens often).

Griffen at Mr. Lube was friendly, efficient, and explained everything on the spot. They were clear and upfront about pricing, explained any further costs and other services that should be performed sooner than later. Also gave me a clear quote for that.

I so appreciated the service. The dealership was so frustrating to deal with, you had to go through more than one person for any form of straight answers and we've had delays and poor service there before
It was so refreshing to have clear, honest service that felt like people were genuinely happy to be dealing with their customers.

Been to this location several times, always friendly courteous staff and never felt upsell pressure, technicians always explain and show you what they are doing, and of course have suggestions but it’s up to you. I will continue to use their outstanding service.

I was just recently back as it is a commercial vehicle high mileage needs frequent oil changes I have never been to a nicer place this time I even got free windshield wipers, Raj and the boys are at the top of their game

Good, fast and reliable oil changes without an appointment. Been going to Mr. Lube for a couple of years now. Staff are always courteous and seem thorough though it's difficult to tell what they are actually doing and seeing down in the pit beneath the vehicle.
Noticed that prices were a bit higher than expected when I first went to them, and they have only increased since, even when you use one of the many promotion coupons available.

I drive a 2022 vehicle and after being turned down from other oil change franchises, the Whitby Mr. Lube came through and had the correct filters to complete the oil change for me. This experience was fast, professional + informative + I will absolutely continue coming here for future check ups. Griffin did a great job and the rest of the team were great support!

Went in for an oil change and tire leak check, dealt with Aleem. Service was fast, went step by step explained everything. Very knowledgeable. Everything is new and clean. Would definitely use shop again.

Had the best servce experience so far! I opted for Mr lube during this time as i didn't want to drop off my vehicle go back in a uber and then come again for pick up. I didn't know how the stay in car service would go and was quite hesitant at first. But now i don't think i might be doing any other kind! It was fast, quick and convenient and you don't even have to leave your cat! Mr Rajin, the service tech was great. He was warm and friendly and guided me through the entire thing. He made sure i was aware of all the costs and parts that had to be replaced and made the whole thing so easy. Was in and out of there within the hour. Would definitely go back there.

The customer service was honest, trustworthy & outstanding! They also didn’t try to “upsell” me for things I didn’t need! I definitely will be going back for my next oil change!

I brought my 2011 Journey here for an Oil Change in late January. I was excited that a Mr. Lube opened up closer to my place. My Technician was Qasim. He got me in right away, was very friendly, super professional and really knew his stuff. Qasim checked my vehicle over and gave me an honest overview of what it may or may not need. I got the specialty high mileage oil I was looking for and was very happy with the service. I enjoyed the experience of having the maintenance performed here and am looking forward to returning with my other vehicles. Thank you!

This was my first time coming to a Mr. Lube and it was a great experience. There was no line up and I was in and out in about 10 minutes. Unfortunately I forget the name of the employee who helped me (maybe Mark or Mike?) but they were professional and friendly. He let me know my options and services available without being pushy with his upsells which I very much appreciated. Definitely will come back.

Just got an oil change and it was the quickest most enjoyable oil change ever! Great service, shared a few laughs with the technicians, and even got a little first aid kit! I live in Ajax but worth the drive for the service.

The staff were prompt to get me in, efficient with all there maintence checks, and courteous while doing so. The entire service was done in 15 mins. I would recommend this location to friends and family.

I went to this location to get an oil change today, although they where quite busy they handled everything very well and I didn't have to wait very long (10 mins) I was helped by a guys named Qasim who was very professional and actually brought to my intention that one of my filters hadn't been changed in a long time. It was very dirty. He was able to replace it for me during my oil change. 10/10 would recommend this location!

This is the perfect place to go for an oil change. The staff and service were excellent. We were glad to simply drive in and stay in our vehicle. Being able to see the staff work on our vehicle as well as on the vehicle next to us was interesting for the kids. Thanks for the great service!

Genuinely one of the best experiences I've had getting an oil change. The team was quick, thorough, friendly, and very helpful. They were also following covid-19 protocol. Which gave the feeling of professionalism and safety. I received free wipers, a coupon and a scent. This whole service cost me ~$120 (also got a Teflon coating for my engine). I highly recommend this location.

Griffin was absolutely great with my vehicle. Very knowledgeable and made clear what needed to be done. They answered all my questions and even checked a few things that needed to be checked out. This will be my primary place for oil changes going forward.

Amazing. I had reservations since I have a warranty on my Mercedes SL550.the service here blew the doors off the Mercedes dealer and the team triple checked the oil and parts, they knew it was 8 litres and told me all the stuff they were doing that completely matched the cars requirements.

Amazing and speedy service from an extremely friendly team. They were able to accommodate a last minute request and spared no services given the time restraint. We needed a new part that wasn’t on hand at the time and they made sure it was ordered and available for a next day instal. So happy to have a team this dedicated and friendly so close to home.
