Steve T was absolutely awesome! He's friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. It was a pleasure to have him around.

Plumber was good but felt paying $430 for unplugging one drain is a bit excessive for about one hour and a bit for doing the job. I felt I was over charged.

Omid and Victoria were fantastic helping us navigate a tough situation with their kindness and expertise. I can’t thank them enough and can not recommend them highly enough.

Came in one day and at the exact time they said they would. Habib did an excellent job. It’s pricey but the job is done well. Very respectful plumber.

The last visit on Tuesday September 26 was a great experience in terms of quality of work. All my issues got resolved. I remain a loyal customer of Mr Rooter because every issues I had got fixed quickly very high quality of work, plumbers are very professionals and polite.

Peter W.from Mr Rooter responded to an emergency call when I was visiting my mother in Thornhill. Water was leaking in the bathroom I was using. It took an hour from the time we called for Peter to arrive. He not only fixed the problem promptly (a valve needed replacing) but was informative, courteous, and kind. While it seemed expensive, we learned a lot and joked with him that he would make a fantastic plumbing teacher. Well worth it! Highly recommend!

Today they assigned a plumber who came to my unit to replace a toilet and a shut-off valve. I told him that I just moved to Canada last year and I'm a newcomer.then that toilet cost 1200 plus tax.price is high but the service is professional.

The company was responsive, I was scheduled quickly. The plumber that arrived was professional and resolved my issue reasonably quickly, suggested next steps, and gave a quote, for future work. My issue was the mess. There was wax everywhere, from the wax seal, footprints from the bathroom right to the door, I had to scrub the tub, the toilet, the floor, the wall. I don't expect the area to remain pristine. I expect some cleaning after they leave, but this was a mess. I would still use them again, because overall the service and knowledge were excellent!

Dwayne was the technician that took care of my request. He was incredible to work with. The service was more than what I was expecting as Dwayne went above and beyond in making sure a major repair was addressed with urgency, experience & with genuine care for my property. I highly recommend Mr. Rooter and if you can ask for Dwayne.

Samuel Belay was incredible and I highly recommend him and Mr Rooter for any plumbing needs! Samuel was super friendly and quick to fix the issues with my kitchen sink drain - and he spent extra time and care to do everything he could to prevent me from needing to purchase a new pipe (which I really appreciate!). He has a ton of knowledge and explained everything clearly to me. I have no doubt that I’ll be calling him again should I ever need to.

My Husband and I have been using Mr. Rooter North York since we bought our 60-year old home in 2015.

For the last few weeks we were experiencing a very slow drainage problem with our downstairs bathroom sink, and the usual remediation methods weren’t yielding results (boiling water + plunging, Draino, and finally a hand auger, which opened it up a little but clearly detected a heavy blockage 4-6 ft in).

Perplexed since we don’t wash anything odd down the sink and rarely use it aside from handwashing, we called in Mr Rooter again and this time had the pleasure of Mr. Wondy Tesfaye’s service.

We assumed a simple power augering would be required and that he’d be done in minutes, but true to form, the previous DIY home owner made a royal mess of the sink drain connections and Wondy had to roll up his sleeves and put in well over an hour of nonstop effort to access the blocked drain from multiple challenging angles, temporarily cut off a problematic linked drain from an adjacent sink on the opposite side of the wall, and power auger it from both ends to fully break up the blockage. He even ran a shop vac after to ensure any loosened material was sucked out of the drain pipes.

Wondy worked in a safe and very efficient manner, carefully explaining everything he was doing as he went along, and thoroughly verified the job was successful once completed (he ran three separate drainage tests, just to be sure everything was perfect). After that intensive effort (which he never complained about), he proceeded to clean up anything he accessed and anywhere the auger sputtered, and cordially provided us the invoice plus helpful tips to keep an eye on for the future.

Our sincerest thanks to Wondy Tesfaye for his professionalism and going the extra mile (at no extra cost above quoted) to get the job done, and get it done right.

This was the fifth time we’ve had to call in Mr. Rooter, and we have yet to rate them anything less than 5-stars each time they’ve come.

Mr Rooter was extremely responsive having a crew on site to repair a substantial sewer blockage problem the very next day after our call. The representative, Jason, was professional and business-like and assessed the problem quickly and thoroughly and solved the problem right away. Had problems with downstairs toilet backing up. Mr Rooter determined that the iron pipes under the house were all stalactites and stalagmites of rust, so we had to replace 60 feet of pipe under the house out to the clay pipes of the city. The crew, led by Robert, did an amazingly professional job. They minimized how much floor had to be broken up, dug a pit in the front yard 10 feet deep, another in the driveway, and a couple of holes in the laundry room and cold room, and winched the new pipe in, with a new larger-bore water service in for good measure.

We went back to them for another large job a month later, replacing a sump well with a sewer well, which was done with equal professionalism and minimizing of mess.

Subsequent problems with a reinstalled toilet were dealt with quickly and free of charge.

If you need any plumbing done, go with these guys!

Staff was on site when scheduled and completed job, including full cleanup, on time. System now working better than ever.

Called Mr Rooter on 05/03/22 to provide a quote for a sewer backup in my basement - I'd already had an emergency plumber out the night before, and they'd assessed the situation (Our sewer main clay pipes had shifted, so the drains were backing up through the downstairs toilet and shower when the system was overloaded. He advised us not to flush too many times in a row/not to flush after a shower and to get the clay pipes changed out for PVC asap). I started looking into companies to provide this changeover from clay to PVC and needed to provide my insurance company with a few quotes to properly choose the company to fix. Mr. Rooter sent out "Vlad" - who came and flushed the toilet multiple times in a row, despite us kindly asking him not to (at the advice of the emergency plumber the night before) - and caused the clay pipes to collapse completely, and tons of raw sewage to seep up from the floor drains, instead of just the small amount that had come up through the shower drain and toilet seal the night before. When I called Mr Rooter/Vlad back to complain (as there was now 3X the sewage water EVERYWHERE, and Vlad had just left the house like that, in even worse shape than before) he was rude/condescending, and literally laughed at me on the phone saying "I didn't put all that toilet paper in your pipes, did I? It was a blockage, not me that caused it". I had to call back the first emergency plumber to come and rectify the situation, again, in order to attempt to undo the damage of the surly Mr Rooter rep. I would NEVER use this company again as a result - Homeowners BEWARE!

I usually do food reviews / restaurants and this would be the first of this kind for me on a local handyman and repair company. I called Mr. Rooter to service a leaky pipe / outdoor faucet and a toilet that was always leaking water. The technician, Wondy, was an absolute professional individual. He identified the issues with both of the leaks, and gave me an estimate. I thought the prices were fairly reasonable compared to other repairs I have done in the past.

Wondy just did a great job with the repairs. Very clean work on the pipe repair, cleaning the existing old rusty areas and installing new pipes and an proper faucet that shouldn't have any issues for many years. The repair of the toilet, he went the extra mile of cleaning up an old mess that was left when it was originally installed.

I'd come back to this company again for future work. And hope that I could get Wondy again.

I had an ongoing issue of water hammering which was very difficult to diagnose. I decided to try out Mr. Rooter and it was the best decision that I made. The front line customer service ladies are extremely pleasant, responsive, courteous and helpful. They are the face of the company and they set a high bar of professionalism. Waheed came by to begin the process of trouble shooting then Ziggy and Owen turned it up a notch and found a solution. They are all skilled plumbers but Ziggy is next level skillfull. He is super experienced, courteous and professional. The Operations manager Fred is the consummate professional. When things seem to be stalling in terms of finding a remedy he was able to come up with a creative solution. His words to me was "we won't stop until we find a solution ". That alone felt like a huge burden had been lifted off my shoulders. I am so grateful for everyone at Mr. Rooter and I will strongly recommend them. 10 stars out of 5. I don't normally write reviews, but I wanted to write one for my great experience with Brian from Mr. Rooter today. I am a landlord, and my unit has been having issues with the cold water taps producing warm water. The building management had advised to replace the current cartridges as this may resolve the issue. Not living in the city, I did not know of a credible plumber to call. I came across Mr. Rooter, and they offer an assessment free of charge. I took this opportunity to book an assessment, and Brian came to look at my unit today. My tenant had said he was very helpful and answered all her questions related to other things as well. Brian called me to tell me that it is not the cartridges, but rather a building issue and he was very confident of this. He indicated he had 27 years of experience and it was very comforting knowing that my unit was assessed by someone in good hands. After all this time thinking it was my sole unit, it was in fact the building. I am grateful that he didn't try to convince me to replace the cartridges because that was originally why I had contacted Mr. Rooter, but rather be honest and upfront, and told me this would not resolve the issue. I am really happy with his service because the building management will be getting an engineer to have a look at a few units to investigate further, and one of them will be mine. I will definitely use Mr. Rooter again and ask for Brian!

Excellent! I’ve used Mr. Rooter on a handful of occasions at different dwellings we have owned. I only have great things to say. Efficient, smart and friendly. During COVID, safety protocol was obvious.
The cost is never the cheapest, but they are the most reliable. With a timeframe warranty on service and their own brand of solution (always buy the solution for your pipes! It’s environmentally friendly and will last 6months to a year for your household!).
Bruce Tehrani was our plumbing technician, fantastic, friendly and explained everything. He cleaned up after himself and was incredibly efficient.

I wanted to give big thanks to Mr. Rooter and the technician Jesse who came to help us today. He helped us trouble shoot our master bathroom shower leak into our kitchen. Because they don't do tile work, he kept his word and didn't charge us for the inspection even though he spend quality time and effort to help us trouble shoot.

Bruce (the technician) was very professional! He arrived on time despite parking being difficult downtown. He gave me the least expensive service option, which ended up working in the end. Bruce arrived early and was very accommodating. The problem of not being able to get water out of the shower head was rectified, however there was still a problem that persists in the piping. More investigation needs to be done before problem is fully rectified. I highly recommend Bruce and his professional attitude to anyone looking for stellar service.

Our sewer piped backed up and we thought it was clogged. Mr. Rooter came out with 12 hours of the call and thoroughly investigated. It was determined that our sewer pipe was collapsed due to age and they replaced it immediately! We were back to normal within 72 hours of the problem initially 'surfacing' (literally!). The crew was polite and efficient! The office was communicative and helpful, especially with city paperwork. Thank you!
