I found this place just after I moved to Almonte and it turns out he'd just opened. I have to say that Sam does a better job that several prior barbers I've been to, including one I went to for years before moving to Almonte.
His shop is simple but clean and welcoming. Sam is organized and quick but also does a great job. He does take walk-ins but you can call ahead as well and I'd recommend that as he seems to be getting busier and busier.
The best part is that while many barbers have (understandably) had to significantly raise prices due to the pandemic, Sam's prices are much closer to pre-pandemic levels. With how good a job he does, the rates are more than reasonable. I always give him a good tip.
My one major gripe is that Sam stopped taking any form of payment except cash. He said it was because the fees were too high, but tons of other barbers take plastic and there are budget minded payment processors. In 2023, running all cash is an obsolete model.
This is a great barber in Almonte and I'm quite happy I can stay in town and get a good haircut.

Sam is wonderful with our 3 year-old son. He has a fun kids chair with lots of noisy distractions on it which help with your child is a bit nervous of the sound of the clippers. Highly recommend!

Sam is excellent at what he does. He is fast and efficient while still paying close attention to detail. Friendly guy without being overly chatty. Highly recommend checking him out! Probably best to make an appointment if you can as it’s a busy place.

He's understaffed at the moment, so he's working pretty hard to satisfy the endless stream of customers. His work is amazing, I just hope he gets some much needed help soon.

I was in from out of town for my wedding, but needed a quick clean up before the big day. I checked into the shop at the last minute and they were able to accommodate without issue. They took extra care into cleaning it up by hand with razor, instead of just using clippers.
They noticed the way my hair grows out and the work my regular barber does in shaping my style.
Needless to say, they know their stuff, gave a me nice cut on par with how picky I am.
Highly recommend them to anyone.

Best fade I've had. Great hair cut. They also do waxing for the face which not every barber does or is good at. Great hair cut and a great conversation. I highly recommend.

Excellent haircut. He took the time to check and make sure hair, sideburns, etc were even on both sides. Nice straight cut along the bottom.

He’s a good barber, gentle and fast. He’s very professional. Doesn’t talk much but we’ll get there! I took my toddler and was very happy with the service and cut! We will be back again.
