Mr.Sub

Accidentally ordered from this location through UberEats instead of the Woodbine one usually used - was much poorer quality, really noticable bad. Was a Sunday afternoon.

Great Mr sub spot. The Indian Girl working the counter that day was very kind and made me a great sub.

My experience was quite upsetting as I asked for just a few things on my sub, the quantity of the vegetables they were putting on the sub was waayyyy less as compared to any other sub place. I asked for mushrooms and on a whole 12 inches sub, they put like 3-4 mushrooms. I had to ask to put extra onions 3 times to get it to the right quantity. The lady that was working there didn't greet us when we came into the store but when other people came to the store she greeted them, I have never felt racism in this diverse country until this point.

I m rating this place as 3 stars only from today's worst experience I could ever imagine as this young girl was not friendly at all, seemed attitude problem from first minute I dealt with her. I clearly ordered 12 inch white bread grilled chicken sub as I always but from the owner peaceful service but OMG.myself being a vegetarian have no knowledge about kind of chicken etc so I repeated 2 3 times to her. I was not sure which chicken owner used but sub came out as Louisiana pepper chicken though she asked whether I wanted non spicy or spicy so I said non spicy but I didn't know about Louisiana type.

On 12 inch sub, she was only placing 4 pieces of English cucumber round pieces plus she was going to cut them into halves to fill the empty space on the bread. I stopped her and said u need to put more pieces on whole sub while telling me that vegs are very expensive outside so she is only placing 4 pieces of age will charge me extra. I was getting more mad about her words. At cash, she charged me for Louisiana sub with a shock I had cuss I was not sure if my son would like or not. She was shouting to me in front of another customer saying to pay and leave the store or I will call police. Kept threatening me about police and counting 1,2 and 3, by 3 I should exit. I can never imagine how she survived at Mr sub for 3 years with this rude ugliest attitude. I will call bread office tomorrow and complain about her attitude she had with me as a regular customer at this location. Ignore going here when she working in the evening.

Also I notice only this location vegs cut so small watery chunks, can never bite the vegs taste except for gulping down without realizing that's vegs are inside. I wish if Mr sub would cut vegs as shown in display pictures but seems stores are saving for using less.

I haven't eaten a Sub from Mr. Sub in years so I decided on one today instead of Subway. My god has the quality gone down the drain! ! The bread was so dry it was like someone let it sit in the sun for a day! And the vegetables! I thought Subway was bad! Flavourless clumps of watery vegetables. I might as well have been eating a styrofoam sandwich. On top of this, nobody even bothered to ask if I wanted my sub heated, they just assembled it. YOU NEED TO CARE ABOUT WHAT YOU ARE DOING, care about the quality of the food and your customer service. Terrible food and service at this location, I'm shocked at the ridiculous rating they have, don't believe it, it's a 1.5/5. Avoid this place if you like quality.

Wonderful shop with great staff! I've been a customer for decades and they're still the best prices in Markham.

Very good subs. Crispy bread, nice vegetarian toppings and layers of cheese. Nice sitting area with bar tools.

The owner at this location is always so nice and welcoming! The food is so fresh and tasty, I often wish I’d ordered seconds. Great prices for the amount of food you get, and it’s a clean and organized location with plenty of available parking. Great spot for lunch, catering, or take-out.

Staff are phenomenal. Quality is above standard. We pick this Mr Sub over any.:) Well done!

The woman helping me was passive-aggressive and rude. The moment she started making my sub she was rude and acted as if she hates her job. I ordered a vegetarian sub and while requesting sauces to add to my sub, she said "are you eating vegetables or sauce" and then laughed as if it was funny.

It was completely inappropriate to say that and it made me feel uncomfortable. I didn't end up eating the sub because I felt so disrespected. That staff member needs customer service training. The fact that she's commenting on what people choose to eat is inappropriate and I won't be returning here again.

The parking is also terrible, it backs out onto traffic and is so unsafe. You rather go to Subway, it tastes better and their service is 10x better. I never had anyone at subway comment on what I choose to eat.

EDIT: Even after submitting a complaint on the website, I have received NO response whatsoever about this negative interaction.

I grabbed a sub for the first time in many years here. A woman who I assume is the owner (someone asked if her daughter was working) served me.

I ordered what I've always ordered (pizza sub + lettuce tomato etc.). She passive aggressively suggested I was trying to order a salami sub and get extra cheese and charged me extra for the cheese. I didn't want to start an argument over $2 so I paid.

The owners (or staff) need to learn better customer service and treat their customers nicely.

It's the only Mr. SUB I know of in Markham since the one in Markville Mall closed. Service & food are good here.
Update: it was sold and it's a new owner but it's just as good. I eat here often.

Great place. Hadn't been to a Mr. Sub in a loong time. Was not disappointed. Was greeted with a lovely Hello and a smile upon entrance. Wasn't rushed to place my order. Was a great ordering experience from start to finish. The turkey sub I had was fresh and tasty. Sorry, forgot to take a pic (that's how good it was). I dived right in. Would definitely go back to this location! Two thumbs up+!

Amazing! Great food, great staff & great service. Went the other night with my daughter and the woman working there took really good care of us. Would definitely recommend and will definitely go back. 5 Stars

I've been going to this Mr. Sub for over 20 years, without any issues it was the best Mr. Sub around. They have obviously changed owners cause their customer service and quality have taken a huge dive. I was there Friday January the 6th at 6pm and there was only one person working and it was busy. I understand having to wait thats not the problem. The problem is the rude employee they had working started giving me attitude for ordering 2 subs. First she made a rude comment about how its busy and I shouldn't order 2 subs. When I said the other sub was for my kid she threw a fit tossed my subs together with anger and you could tell she was mad. Then she threw my subs in the microwave like she was throwing them in the garbage. Then as I'm paying she throws the subs at me and goes to the next customer. I've never seen a employee act like such a baby if you're busy you should have more staff and shouldn't get mad at the customers. I miss the friendly old owners. I will never return to this location again.

Been frequenting this establishment since childhood. Long before there were any other sub places in Markham. Best subs in Markham.
