Muttz with Mannerz

Muttz with Mannerz is a wonderful place to take your puppy/dog to learn obedience and/or to have fun! There are so many classes offered to choose from to suit yours and your pet's needs. Not only does your furry friend learn, so do their humans. Doggie daycare is a great option for socializing and a way to keep your pup exercised and happy when you don't have the time yourself. Having a dog is a wonderful experience and with guidance from the teachers/advisors at Muttz, it can be an exceptional one!

My dog loves going to Muttz! The staff are professional and polite - they really know their stuff. The daycare programming for the dogs is great - your dog is not just running around playing all day but actually learning things and having all of their senses stimulated.

Corey, Johnny, & Barbara share their positive expertise in a calm, clear, & supportive way to give you the tools to train your puppy/dog. They respond to any issues with great advice. Will be continuing with their classes & community walks.

Excellent training program which has been so helpful with our puppy. Classes are fun and easy to understand, after each class you get a summary of the lesson plan which helps to keep you on track. The facility is also very clean and organized. Highly recommend!

Very happy with the service, my yorkie have a very long nails and they did a very good job by cutting them so short. Im coming for more gromming 100%. Highly recommended and the owner is really approachable.

You have heard of the movie the Horse Whisperer, well Kelli Gilliss is the Dog Whisperer. I take my dog Cola to Kelli for grooming and as Kelli has shown dogs at competitions in the past she knows how breeds should be cut and how they should look. I don't know how she gets my dog so clean - the white is 6 shades whiter and the black has a beautiful sheen! Kelli is the best - I have used Kelli for years and would recommend her to anyone. She does a fantasic job. She is very soft spoken, very gentle, very caring and takes great pride in her work. Thank you Kelli for taking care of Cola! You are the best! It's a dirty place. I brought 2 of my dogs there and they got fleas. The groomer allows them to be roaming all together in the small room so that they can infect one another with diseases. She also has no idea how to groom purebred dogs. She trimmed my dogs fur to the point they didn't even look like a purebred anymore. It took months for their hair to grow back. It's not a place Is would bring my dogs ever again!

So glad I found this place. We had our second lesson today and both myself and my doggo learned so much! (Actually I think I learned more.) Instruction was practical. Instructors are extremely knowledgeable. More than anything, the trainers were supportive and encouraging which I greatly appreciated. As a bonus, the facility is spotless. I have a Hyper German Shepherd.

Our dog LOVES Muttz with Mannerz! Everytime we pull into the parking lot he goes crazy and can't get out of the car fast enough. Corey and staff are wonderful and are excellent trainers too. We now have Ryder groomed there too and couldn't be happier. Keep up the great work! Thanks for all you do!

Great place! Love their groomer Kelli! She is amazing with our purebred Swiss Mountain Dog; took time from when she was a pup to gradually introduce Peggy to the world of baths, clippers and blow dryers! She has also been grooming our cockapoo for OVER 10 years and understands his quirks and fears - she even took the time to give him a 20 minute soothing holistic shower when his allergies were driving him crazy (worked like a charm!). When our previous Golden Doodle was quite sick Kelli ever so gently was able to clip him up for the vets (allowing them to visibly see his tumors) with patience and kindness, understanding how much pain he was in and working within his limitations - Trust Kelli completely with our pets and wouldn't go anywhere else. Highly recommend to all.

I have nothing but good things to say about the grooming here. Kelli is professional and courteous. She is great with my girl. I was never a huge fan of grooming until I got my husky and took her to get groomed. She comes back looking like a different dog all beautifully clean and well trimmed.

If you have ever owned a husky you can understand the shedding periods they have and with taking her for grooming she gets her coat blown out and helps keep her cool.

Kelli is great with all types of dogs and those with issues as well. I have a 14 year old bulldog who is deaf and senile, she is very confused most of the time however Kelli is patient and makes my bulldog feel comfortable and safe in the environment.

The quality of the grooming is like no other, I highly recommend the salon here. They will take great care of your furry loved one.

I couldn't be happier with Muttz with Mannerz! My dog was a participant in the kids and dog camp run by Corey several years in a row - she never wanted to leave! She now attends daycare weekly, and I can't contain her excitement when we approach the building! I was initially worried because my dog is older and can become overwhelmed with younger boisterous dogs, but Corey and her staff knew how to read her cues, and now she is happily integrated with dogs of all ages. I highly recommend Muttz with Mannerz for any day care or socialization needs - they are awesome!

We went there for pup training. The process, space and knowledge is good. I'm sure covid made things more difficult yet it turned out well for everyone.

I have been taking my shih tzu to Kelli for about 5 years now and she is truly amazing and unlike anyone else. My dog has been turned down by many other groomers throughout York Region because he is very difficult and fussy. Kelli is the first groomer who is able to groom him. In the past we have had to resort to having him sedated in order to be groomed, but that is no longer necessary because of Kelli's skill and expertise. She is so caring and has always gone out of her way to ensure that he is comfortable. She has even driven out of her way to attend vet appointments with us to help keep him calm. I would recommend her to anyone and could not be happier with her.

I have a dog with anxiety and have been denied grooming from many places. Kelly was God send. She took him in and now he is much better. Because of Kelly he is a different dog now. His anxiety is better and he let's her touch without biting. She is so patient even though he is little aggressive, Kelly never used a muzzle and with touch made him feel comfortable. Thank you Kelly.

I took my very anxious husky for grooming today. I have been turned away from several groomers for his anxious behaviour, despite me muzzling him for their safety. Kelli was not only patient and very understanding of my dog’s anxiety, but she made him look so clean. Amazing, professional, compassionate service. I will be sure to recommend!

My dog has an anxiety problem. He doesn't let people touch him and gets into a panic mode when humans are close to him. But kellie at muttz and manners is amazing. She is so patient and loving towards my dog. Thank you kellie.

Our 2 1/2 year old cockapoo, Kelsey, has been attending classes and small dog play dates at Muttz with Mannerz since she was 10 weeks old. Corey has a very energetic and enthusiastic approach and it is clear how much she LOVES dogs! She provides encouragement through positive reinforcement and most importantly keeps it FUN. We have worked with Corey and the team an Muttz with Mannerz over the years with a couple of our dogs and they have consistently demonstrated their wealth of knowledge (and patience) when it comes to training. Our current dog is a rescue and needed a lot of work - through the private training and now the "fun with agility class", we're well on our way to have a great family pet. Our kids love to get involved with the training too and it's a great opportunity for them to learn how to care for a pet, while having some fun along the way! Our family would highly recommend Muttz with Mannerz, especially for those that have dogs that are a "work in progress" like ours!

Corey is a well-known and skilled dog trainer who has a passion for dogs. We have participated in puppy, obedience and agility training classes for Bella from five months of age to present (she is five and a half now. We take Bella to Play Dates (one hour, three times a week. These Play Dates provide socializing between dogs and owners as well as between all owners who must be in control of their dogs. Since I have severe back issues, Corey provides assistance for me. Her new facility allows for indoor play when the weather is inclement. I don't know how we could do this without her.

Both my children have attended the Kids & K9 Camp at Muttz with Mannerz for a few years now with both of our dogs. Corey knows how to keep children and dogs engaged and to make every session so much fun while learning lots! The children learned how to communicate with their dog and teach them basic commands and agility with positive reinforcement. They also learned about bite prevention and attended a teeth cleaning procedure at the veterinarian. Corey has a wonderful energy when engaging with dogs and humans. We highly recommend Muttz with Mannerz!
