Mvr Landscaping And Interlocking

Driveway extension (205 sq ft) and interlock replacement (1,000 sq ft)
I had my driveway extended and re-paved using MVR this Fall.
Simon was extremely responsive communication-wise and elaborate on the details regarding the project. Despite changes in the project at my end (such as the decision to extend the driveway which was not in the initial plan), Simon was able to accommodate them with ease.
The quality of work performed by his team, especially the paving, was excellent. I have received numerous compliments on the new driveway from my neighbors with others requesting more information on MVR's contact details.
It took the team a total of 5 days to complete the work once all material was received - from lifting old stones, reveling and compacting base to slop away from home, driveway extension, new structured steps, side walkway, small patio outside main door, to the sodding and grading of new lawn laid on side of house. Even when I was unhappy with the color of the stone I had ordered for the steps (internet pictures can be deceiving), Simon was accommodating to me changing the stone after it was initially laid.
Overall, an excellent company to work with.

We had quite a challenging backyard project for Simon and he and his team really delivered. Their quote was transparent and fair, and it came with the bonus of Simon being exceptionally responsive at all times of the day (I think I sent a few hundred texts throughout the project for small details).

There were quite a few necessary changes that came up during the project. Simon patiently explained the need for them, didn’t try to upsell us into anything, and quoted us fair prices for the changes.

He and his team were very hardworking, polite, and clearly took pride in their work. The final product was a complete transformation of our backyard from an overgrown mess to a beautiful stone patio.

We got our landscaping done through MVR landscaping and I must say it has made a remarkable change to the look of the front and backyard of the house. Simon was very patient to take care of the smallest detail that we wanted. The best thing about MVR is that you can make choices to what material you want to put in and although the quote was marginally higher than other landscaping companies, from day one, I was convinced and delighted to mention that the final finish is top notch. We also got our backyard sod replaced by Simon and for the front yard we went with another well known Sod installation company as Simon had a busy schedule. I must say it’s a remarkable difference between the quality and we only regret that we wish we had waited and got the front yard sodding done by Simon as well. We are very happy to refer Simon to our friends and families as he is very professional, responsive and very reliable to work with. Thank you Simon for making our dream project come true:)

I've had my interlocking pathway to my door and back gate replaced this past week. Leading up to the job being done, I was very impressed with the professionalism displayed by Simon when he came to look at the work to be done and then provided a quote. I knew I would be on a list and wouldn't get it completed until the Fall and they kept in touch with me to let me know I was still on the list. They completed the job in less than a week, absolutely love it, came within budget and no mess left behind. We explained that we were going to remove the old existing wooden deck and replace it with interlocking paver stones. After a lot of research and receiving multiple quotes from a number of landscaping companies (including the company that installed our new pool) we decided to go with Simon. We were not disappointed. They completed our pool deck, regraded our yard, completed sod installation as well as the installation of artificial turf. I really liked Simon’s transparency on his pricing. I tried getting in touch with multiple companies who refused to deal with a smaller landscaping project for my townhouse, quoting $15,000+ job minimums. With MVR, Simon was the only landscaper who had a great portfolio of previous projects that I was thankful to have responded and took on my smaller project with enthusiasm. Even when I was a bit late in the 2021 season with inquiring, Simon followed up early 2022 to book me in for our project.

I loved Simon's approach of having billing done for materials directly with vendors. We were thankful to have one nearby who had a great inventory of various stones that we easily chose from. Simon accurately itemized his estimates and invoice, and was flexible with payment methods. He was very fairly priced, and the quality of his work was meticulous.

Everything was done so quick, I couldn't believe it. Their workers were in for two half-days and one full day (total 2 days) and matched the delivery times from the vendor so there was no delay in getting things done. They cleaned up thoroughly and inspected again the following day to make sure the job was done right when everything settled.

Thank you to Simon and your crew for taking on this smaller job. I've had so many neighbours come up and ask about my property and give many compliments. The only downside is that now I have to do more renovations to bring the rest of the property up to date, haha.

We hired Simon at MVR, to demolish our old, crumbling flagstone patio, and make a much larger (850 square foot) paver patio. Simon and his team were such a pleasure to work with. They were professional, friendly, efficient, and stayed on budget. Simon responded to all of my (many) texts quickly and addressed every question/concern I had, which made this project, that I was so worried about, easy and stress free! The patio looks amazing, and such care was taken to build an incredibly strong foundation (which is why they can confidently offer such a great warranty). We were extremely cautious when we looked for a contractor to renovate our driveway, walkway, and front steps, after our horrible experience with our previous contractor. Posting this review a bit late as we had the work done over a year ago. Was a pleasure working with Simon and his team. We had interlocking installed for both the front yard and backyard, and after a year later, both are still in perfect condition. The entire team was very hard working and they got the work done before moving onto a new job. Simon was very easy to communicate with and also very responsive to any concerns. Simon and the crew from MVR Landscaping were selected after interviewing a few contractors for a small-to-midsize repair job on our existing interlocking driveway. The driveway had only been installed 6 years ago by a different contractor, but we had unresolved issues. Simon promptly took the call and was attentive to the details of what I was looking to address. His crew got started within days of giving him the go, and finished the job in under 3 days. We were very pleased with the process and the result - Simon and the crew were very meticulous in removing, releveling, and sanding-sealing my original interlocking investment and returning it to an "as good as new" state. I would welcome back MVR for any future interlocking jobs, and would recommend them to others.

Our experience with Simon and his team was truly amazing. We decided to contact them for a backyard renovation project, and they came on the same day to take measures and talk about what could be done. On the SAME day he already sent us an itemized quote, along with a few choice of vendor for materials!

The job had to be delayed twice because of the pandemic, and he was nothing but understanding and helpful. Once they actually started, it took exactly 3 days to dig, level the ground, put the stones and finish everything. We chose a very heavy stone unknowingly, and they handled it without any issues whatsoever!

We've been enjoying our backyard in the past week more than we did for the entire last year; we can't recommend him enough (and I'm already doing so for a few friends)!

We feel very lucky that we found Simon and his crew. They constructed 2 walkways in our front garden and redid our porch with stone in late Sept. 2018. Simon communicated with us immediately by phone, text and email and stayed in touch all the way through the job. When he said he would be there, he was there. Simon gave us an estimate of the cost of the stones separate from the labour and we paid the building supplier directly for the stones, and paid Simon for the labour. We feel we got a reasonable quote, and the job was done quickly and professionally. When we had a concern about an element of the porch, he worked to come up with a way to please us and solve the issue. He wanted us to be happy and made recommendations that would save us money. Because he is easy to get along with, and listens, we plan to hire him and his crew to do work for us later on in the backyard. Give Simon a shout as he is dependable and does great work.

We have a backyard again! It's gone from neglected to utilized. Thanks to Simon and his crew, we have expanded our living space and now have room to entertain the entire family.
