Upon entering, I initially felt disoriented, as if I had walked into a convenience store rather than a cafe. The lack of a distinctive atmosphere gave the place a chaotic and unclean appearance, making it far from the serene cafe experience I had anticipated. The absence of a clear identity was evident, and it left me feeling somewhat down. I empathized with the visibly overworked barista, struggling to manage everything alone. It hinted at potential financial challenges for the establishment, reflected in the inability to hire additional help. The cat lounge, while somewhat cozy with its eclectic and rustic charm, did uplift my spirits as the cats were well-cared for – a pleasant surprise after my initial impression. Despite the positive aspect of the cat lounge, I doubt I'll return until the establishment establishes a clearer and more inviting identity, befitting a cat cafe or a cafe in general.
The kitties were friendly, even when some teens petted them too long. Good activity for all ages. Would recommend booking online in advance. The eating area and the cat area are completely separated. Only drinks allowed in the cat area. It is a requirement to take shoes off before you go to visit with the cats. Socks are mandatory. They have socks for sale if you forget to bring socks. The cat area had lots of cute nooks for the cats to explore. Lots of cat toys and cat themed books. All of the tables in the Cafe area were full. People were eating waffles with eggs and bacon and it smelled great. The cats do their own thing. You are not allowed to feed the cats.
We ordered drinks, paid. They clerk prepared our drinks. Then I asked if it was OK to go into the cat room while she was finishing our order. We were told no, unless we had booked ahead we could not be with the cats. We just walked in off the street and had no idea that the cat cafe had to be booked. We should have been told, before ordering, that the ‘cat’ part of “cat cafe” was not available.
The other part of the establishment looks like a variety store and not a cafe. There is no seating. You can’t even look at the cat room, there is no window for viewing. When going to a cat cafe the expectation is that there will be cats. Very disappointing.
Loved it! Cute little place with adorable kitties. I appreciate that they limit the amount of people they allow in at a time so as not to stress the kitties out too much.
I wasn't there for the coffee, but to adopt 2 kitties. I was disappointed when Jan denied me, sight unseen, no interview, saying my house was not suitable for a busy kitten. Funny thing, by the end of the week I had 2 under 4 months, and still do not understand the unkind woman's thought process unless she is unable to look after cats herself. Look elsewhere - the $7 is not worth it.
This place is a mixed bag. The front-counter staff can be uncaring zombies or the nicest people ever. The kittens available to play with can also be a mixed bag, sometimes there's a lot, sometimes just a few depending on what rooms are open. The coffee drinks are ok. The store-front definitely needs a thorough dusting.
One thing to note - your "1 hour" time slot is actually 50 minutes. They say it's for cleaning, but i doubt it.
We did end up adopting a kitten from here. The adoption process was pretty easy and Jan at Purrfect Companions was great to work with.
I made a special trip to My Kitty Cafe from Toronto. It was worth the effort 100%. I absolutely enjoyed my experience here. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and caring. And there was a great amount of precious kitties to make the trip a 10/10 experience. I brought my 10 year-old sister with me and she got as much out of it as I did. The hot drinks were also very enjoyable.
We went in to spend our time with the Kitty - that was the best. I would recommend going and spending time with the cats. They are very knowledgeable and care for the cats with love. They know their kitties well. Who you could be around and who you should not be around. The kitties that just arrive need time to adjust. Great apparatuses for the kitties to roam around in.
Had a lovely DECAF peppermint latte here, using decaf beans they grind and use for their specialty coffees. It was delicious and the service amazing. They even do cute art on your coffee! Don’t hesitate to grab a drink there! They also have year round ice cream cones!
It was okay. They had a single staffer there so the line up built quickly. Cats seemed sedated and didn't want anything to do with anyone there.maybe there were just too many people inside.
ATTN: you need to make an appointment and pay before coming if you want to see the cats! The front looks like a convenience store. The drinks are tasty.
Absolutely love it here! The kitties are always wonderful. It's very clean and I like that the cats have lots of places to go when they need a break from socializing. Great place to find a pet with the right personality for your family!
Update: August 16th, we took our daughter here with her friends for her birthday. We had the best time and definitely a birthday she will not forget. They had around 15 cats. The staff could not have been more gracious and accommodating. Also, these kittens/cats are living their best lives! You cannot go wrong with adopting one from here. They are very friendly as they are used to socialization. They are well cared for. We will be back soon!

My daughter has been begging for us to adopt a cat for so long. It’s just not possible right now so we decided to take her to a cat cafe to cheer her up. So we made our appointment and drove all the way from Mississauga with our family of 5.
During booking, it clearly stated that only 10 people maximum are allowed inside the area where the cats are. However, there were 2 groups there other than our family. There were 13 people in total. On top of that, there were only 2 cats present today (Saturday).
So imagine this, 13 people fighting for attention of two cats that were probably already overwhelmed from visits in the morning. Everyone only gets 50minutes in there, some did not get a turn nor a chance to play with neither of the cats.
An employee told us prior to going in that there was a 3rd cat somewhere in there just hiding. That it would be a little skittish because someone had opened the door of a private room where it was. So we kept searching for this “3rd cat” but never found it. Then another employee told us something totally different as we were exiting. She said that this 3rd cat went home because it was feeling ill. So which one is it? A third cat was never there, I think? At least we never saw the cat that was “hiding” being brought home? ! This employee said to us when questioned that “oh we usually post on our website which cats will be around for the day”. Ummm where on the website does it say that? Maybe mentioning that during booking would help?
I’m still giving this place 3 stars because it’s clean and the cafe really does look like a wonderland for cats. You can tell the cats are happy and well taken care of. I just wish we knew before making the trip there that this was the situation.
Went there for an iced coffee and to see cats. Kitties were lovely and adorable. Very friendly as well. Staff was amazing and cat lovers as well. Coffee was really good as well. Absolutely amazing place, will 100% be back ASAP.
This cat cafe is absolutely amazing. I booked a reservation online and came on a Sunday afternoon. The cat area is really big and has tons of toys and cat furniture. You can tell that this cafe takes really good care of all of the cats here and cares a lot about the welfare of cats. For example, you have take your shoes off before going into the cat area so that it stays clean for the cats, and there are information sheets around the cafe about caring for cats and the importance of adopting from shelters. At the time of my visit, there were 7 cats and all of them looked healthy. My Kitty Cafe has different cats from time to time because they come from the local shelter, so if you are interested you can check their website to see which cats are currently at the cafe before you visit. The girl who worked at the counter was friendly and helpful. I bought ice cream and a coffee; both tasted good. My Kitty Cafe also sells lots of different cat products at the front of the store and I bought a small toy that my cat at home really liked. I highly recommend this cat cafe and I will definitely come back again.
These cats are so friendly, and outgoing. They will even come and smell you, and some will even lick your fingers The services in there are super friendly.
The food at the cafe isn't worth the hype along with their cringy names such as "meowshake" or "meowchta". I ordered a chocolate milkshake from there and I got a milkshake with peanut butter instead, keep in mind I have a life threatening allergy to peanuts and the fact that the worker even wrote down my order still messed it up and caused me a allergic reaction. I'm aware that mistakes happen from time to time but the worker was not empathetic towards me and my friends at all, and did not even seem to care whatsoever. Also, there wasn't many cats to play with and were very shy so it was hard to have a good time at the cafe when the cats are hiding or just sleeping. You won't see me come back to this place.
It's a great concept - not very kid friendly though There are ALOT of rules to be followed that could be a difficult day trip for smaller kids. Only 2 people allowed in certain rooms at a time- but if you go with more than 1 child you cannot go in the rooms if another child is under the age of 12 because you can't leave them alone. The whole space isn't very large. I read it as a Cafe with cats to hang out with But the concept is $7 per person and on top is $2.50 for a coffee and up It was not the experience I had expected but You have 50 minutes and are not allowed to pick up the cats- only of they come to you Also, loud noise is not tolerated
My worst experience. My friend ordered a chocolate milkshake, and they even wrote it down. They STILL gave the wrong order, and gave her a peanut butter milkshake. My friend was allergic to peanuts. I understand mistakes happen, but the employee didn't even care. We asked to find the bathroom and she completely ignored us. The customers care more than the employees. Also there were only like 5 cats. It was my opinion, but I did not like the food there either.
I visited MKC to look into some kitties and I ended up adopting a couple. While I do love the kitties I adopted, this place was kind of weird to me. At the front it's a variety store, at the rear, a cat room. Not really what I expected in a Cat Café. A redesign would make this a way more desirable place to visit.
Not the best alot of the cats are mean but I do understand they are rescues/foster kitties.the out side of the place could use a sprucing looks like a dive bar. Place didn't even look open when we went. An I don't understand why she couldn't give me a medium tea.our teas only come in extra large she said but you had other size cups right there witch makes no sense seems more like a money grab then a foster/shelter for rescue kitties
There were 5 cats when I went there, and 3 of them were hiding in private spaces for them. I sat with one cat for around 10 minutes throughout the whole 50 minute time slot. Didn’t think it was worth the trip.
Paid 7 bucks per person for getting in thinking there would be many cats to pet and play with but had only 4-5 cats in total. Maybe my bad didn't understand that it's more of an adoption centre+cafe. But I hope the cats get adopted.
This place is fantastic. I was able to go there by myself, and I was alone with the kittens for one hour which calmed me down. It gave me peace. I am also grateful for the warm welcome of the owner/manager. Thank you for the great experience.
First time to a cat cafe and I was not disappointed! Well worth the $7 to visit with adorable kitties. There were 6 cats when I visited. My favourite was Cocoapuff. She is such a gentle, lovely kitty with loud purrs, very friendly and loves belly rubs! When in the area again, I'll make sure to visit.
I visited My Kitty Cafe with my daughters and we all had a fantastic time! It was comforting to see the cats being cared for and having plenty of room to run around and play. My daughters can't stop raving about the kitty cafe and can't wait to go back!
Not only did we get to add two special boys to our family, but we discovered a really cool place to hang out! With all this low mood weather and distancing, chilling with some playful cuddly kittens is just the pick me up I needed!

I love cats so of course I loved this place. Cats are very friendly and sweet. Chill place with hot drinks, ice cream, lottery, merchandise. Great place for a date
It was a great place I saw lots of cute kittys and it was a comfortable cozy place at just the right tempeture. I thought it would be a bit bigger but it was amazing. So many cute cat signs and pictures on the walls.
Incredible cafe! Very clean and the kitties are super friendly. Lots of cat toys to play with. Staff is friendly and explained all the different parts of the cafe to explore. Iced coffee was also quite good!
The interior of the cat room is dark and not very ‘home like’ (you could call it). But you can tell they try their hardest with the decorations and wall art.
I almost think the space is too big for the purpose, for eg.the cat cafe in Stratford is smaller, but has a way nicer ambience and all of the cats come out more to see you.
I wish there was more interaction with staff in a way. Again, to compare to the other local cat cafe, the volunteers and staff often sit with the cats and share their stories, discuss with you, and it really adds to the experience.
Also wish there were time limits on how long people can hangout in the ‘3 person only’ cat room. Literally all of the cats but 2 were in there during my visit and it was annoying that there was no system to ensure people could all have turns.
For the ‘cafe’ portion there’s no seating or tables? Idk I recommend the Alley Cat Cafe in Stratford if you want more of a cafe vibe, and to actually see all of the cats. I wont be back but I’m hoping these constructive points help out.
Only able to drop by quickly, but wanted to check it out and support them. It's $7 visitation fee to visit with the cats, shoes left outside of the separate area, no food/drinks, mask on and 10 people maximum occupancy.
Delicious and feline-tastic themed drinks, both warm and cold, yummy baked goods and a varied assortment of cat supplies, toys and treats - plus gifts for cat lovers. And it's also a variety store with snacks and soft drinks.
Certainly worth a visit and we will definitely be back! The Guelph Fog is really good!
I've always loved this place every time I go in and I've been in there about 6/7 times since they opened. The staff are wonderful; they go above and beyond to make sure not only every cat is safe and comfortable, but also the patrons. They also used to serve delicious and amazing food but had to stop because of COVID. If you go to their website you can book a time slot for fifty minutes but I would come a bit earlier to make sure you had enough time!
Adopt, don't shop to give a sweet kitty a forever home ️
Super cute kitties, friendly staff and good coffee! My only complaint would be that the front staff was so busy that we only ended up getting 40min in the cat lounge rather than 50min. Kinda sucked, but still enjoyed the cats anyway!
Honestly, I need a membership for this place lol it is sooooo cool!
Covid measures means you book your time slot and get the whole place to yourself! So cool! Two cats were the most engaging, the others were lookers lol going back this weekend
Visited the Kitty Cafe today for the second time and absolutely loved the whole experience! The shop has ensured customer safety by reserving a time in advance, checking temperatures and ensuring all guests wear masks at all times. We booked a day and time in advance and then were able to go on a date and play with the kittens. After our date we stopped and grabbed a catpuchino which was absolutely purfect! It even had a cute little foam cat on top. Thank you so much to Min for making the whole experience great!
This store needs to be 5 star! Great staff amazing owner and the compassion for kitty's in need of a good home says everything about the heart of this establishment. Thank you!
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! I booked kitty time and when I got there I was told I did not have time booked. After I drove over 40 mins there. I showed my email confirmation as well as credit card confirmation and was told too bad, take it up with my credit card company, nothing can be done, someone else had the time booked. Clearly only out for money and does not care about the cats or customer. Shady place and shady owner. STAY AWAY! ADOPT ELSEWHERE! As you can see, I rec'd email confirmation of booking AND posted credit card transaction nothing about anything being declined. I showed these both in person and was told too bad. No attempt made at all to resolve the situation, just told to take it up with credit card company.
This place has first-rate service as well as yummy menu. One of my favourite places around town. The food arrived rapidly and the rates were reasonable. I recommend this place.
Had an amazing time here. I contacted My Kitty Cafe to do a private experience to celebrate my partners birthday. They were very fast to respond to my request and pretty flexible. It was a great price and my partner and I had so much fun here! Definitely recommend! There were so many cats!
Food was a lot better than I expected. I had a chicken wrap that came with a really nice spinach salad. This is place is cozier than my living room, cats are lovely and you're supporting a great cause.
I personally love the atmosphere of the cafe. It is super cozy and gives visitors a home like environment to interact with the kitties so that they can get to know them in a stress-free place and possibly even adopt! You can get to know their personalities while enjoying a beverage or a snack. It is also very evident that the staff care about the animals and their safety and comfort. Another plus is the coffee is excellent and the yummy food. Must try the Kimchi fried rice!
Maybe it was the time of year, maybe it was that Santa was the best Santa I have seen and all of my children were given a personal greeting? Its a lovely place around Christmas, I have never been during the Summer months. This is a great place to visit. Beautiful, well kept grounds and wonderful art. The Christmas lights never disappoint
5/5 for cat experience, although try to go when they’re not as busy so the cats are not super occupied! When there are a lot of kids it gets a little crazy. They have a pretty wide variety of Korean style foods to offer which is fantastic. There are a lot of places to sit and get comfy! Please respect the cats and follow the rules, and try not to disturb sleeping kitties!
Went here on my birthday, it was so wonderful. The food was great, done up all fancy like. The cats were so adorable, got to stay as long as we wanted. The whole environment that they built for the cats to ay on is amazing! Stairs and tunnels and bridges, so cute. Very affordable too, plus you can adopt a cat from them. You get to play with it first, bond with it and then can adopt one. Such an awesome idea, much better than a human society, which you can't play with your new pet. I will come back asap. Thank you for the pleasant time.
This place is amazing. It was 3 dollars for admission when you buy food. The place was clearly built to support and help cats first. The cats were friendly and so were the staff. We had great fun seeing the names of all the cats adopted.
Amazing, love it. Food was delicious, drinks were even better and the Kitty's are so much fun to sit with. They are all available for adoption as well. Such a great cause to support and place to stop.
Great coffee and kittens to play with. Price to go in with the kittens is very reasonable. Also, the place has an adoption program, so you can meet the kitten, fall in love, and take your meow maker home with you!
Fantastic way to spend time with my kids. I love this setup. So much fun toys and cat structures set up. Lots of comfy chairs and sofas to cuddle with a kitty. Such a positive fun atmosphere. A nice quiet place if you need to get some work done or want to read a book. If you're looking to adopt a cat, it's a great way to see their personalities and interact with them. Will absolutely be back!
The cats are super cute and playful, especially in the morning when the cafe first opens! There are lots of cute cat-related items to buy in the store as well. It's $5 per person to enter the cat room, but $3 per person if you buy something. I'll definitely be coming back to see the cats again!
People are so respectful and gentle with the cats, it makes for a really relaxing atmosphere. Bring a book, grab a coffee, and voila! All your stress is gone
Can't say enough good things about this place. I have seen some reviews where some people are unimpressed because perhaps it isn't as fancy as they expected.
Wonderful Cafe in the back. Sweet cats - well taken care of and it is super clean and doesn't smell like other cat cafes. Very reasonable prices and nice staff. We drove an hour to get here and it was totally worth it!
The most adorable collection of cute kitties. Please go check out this #diamondintherough #hiddengem will make you fall in love. Great first date place. Maybe if things go well you can adopt the kitty together. Now wouldn't that be something? My second cat, Quinn was a feral baby cat off the streets that my sister rescued and spayed herself. Don't worry she's a veterinarian. Anne Seonghee Hong DVM. She's trying to go independent. Go to her for your spaying and neutering needs
The beverages are very good and the lounge is nice and comfortable. The experience would definitely be better without kids running around, since they seem to often scare the cats. I’d come back again on a weekday during school hours.
A great idea. We need more places like this for our sheltered furry friends. The food is surprisingly amazing I had their kimchi omelette. Their lattes have cute designs on them you almost don't even want to consume it.
Nice cafe with fresh food that is good for breakfast, great for lunch and the prices are good for what you get. But maybe the best part are the treats. A cup of coffee with one of them, is nice. My only negative is that it can get loud as the walls really reverberate sound.
The cats here to the most adorable. A definite must visit for cat lovers, especially when you can potentially when you can adopt them home. Also to note, I accidentally spilled my drink, the staff here cleaned it up and gave me another drink free of charge. Been here is like in kitty wonderland
Can look a bit odd from the outside since the front is a convenience store of sorts, but they have good cafe food/drink options and the kitty cafe part is very cozy and relaxing. Would be a nice place to chill/study and just enjoy being around cute cats:) I especially love the fact that they rescue these cats - it's a great way to play and familiarize yourself with a cat in a comfortable setting if you're looking to adopt!
Never been in a kitty cafe before so I was curious. Lots of cat supplies and novelty items at fairly reasonable price. The whole back of the store is behind glass and full of sofas and comfy chairs and cat towers and of course kitties! BUT it costs $5 to go in and visit them. All the cats are from a rescue and up for adoption. Cool place.
Lovely cafe. Loved sipping hot chocolate and watching the kitties running around and stopping for a quick snuggle. Found some awesome toys for my own cat and happy to hear that money goes directly back into the cafe. Will be back!
Great place to relax in a quieter atmosphere. However, during my visit, there were kids (under 10yrs old) stomping, running around and startling the cats by trying to play with them.
My hot beverage was very delicious and I would definitely come again. However, again, the young kids running around put the cats into hiding so the other guests can't enjoy their fluffy presence.
Not the cleanest place but they have a lot of heart taking care of all these adorable cats. Come earlier in the day as in the afternoon they're often sleeping.
Cats are cute and unfortunately don't always work on our schedule I didn't get to pet any of them because they were busy sleeping, but it's understandable.
This cafe is a great place to visit if you love or own or want to own a cat. I adopted a cat from this place and they are extremely helpful and supportive throughout the process. They truly care about the cats in their care. Their food is also amazing. I love their Kimchi fried rice!
The concept is fantastic and they were not pushy at all for adoption. However I ended up going on a day where they had live performers, which you had to pay extra to see inside. We only went it because we were entertaining a guest and they wanted to go. The music was fine, but the cats hid the entire time. The staff gave us treats to give to them, but as soon as they were gone so were the cats. The coffee was great though.
I always have so much fun playing with the kitties here! All the cats are sweet and playful, especially in the mornings. I am always amazed at how they keep the place so clean with all those cats but it never smells and there’s hardly any cat hair! Food and drinks are also great. Must try the “catsadilla” and kimchi omelette!
