My Roti Place/My Dosa Place

Idli chutneys and sambar were good, veggie fried rice was also good. The veg stew which came with idiyappam was a disaster.

What a terrible experience yesterday with this restaurant where I ordered Uttapam and what I got was a uttapam with literally no veggies I asked before ordering about veggies and basically I highlighted them with I’m taking uttapam for tomatoes and onions and basically veggies which will make me feel full in afternoon but literally they just sprinkled onions and carrots with not tomatoes and they did replaced my uttapam twice saying they will give better as per requested but they didn’t make it. What I feel here is don’t fool customers saying that you can serve something which you actually don’t have in your kitchen. Just be straightforward to improve the satisfaction of customers rather than just replacing it many times serve best in first case by being true.

I recently had the pleasure of trying the lamb roti at MyRotiPlace for the first time. While the taste was enjoyable, I found the curry to be a bit overly spiced with masala. Unfortunately, the post-meal experience wasn't as great as I had hoped. On the positive side, the portion size was satisfying, and the staff was exceptionally kind. However, it was a bit disconcerting to see the person preparing the food also handling a mop and cleaning without wearing gloves.

Had the best paper thin ghee dosa with very tasty sambar and chutneys. A great find.simple and authentic South Indian food. Great service from Vamshi and Suchi.

Beautiful place with an amazing Biryani dish and the spice level was. I will definitely be coming back here!

Excellent curry chicken and curry lamb and rice. Just moved in this area and haven't had this half a dozen times.

The lady working there was so nice and helpful when we weren't sure what to order. I've never tried dosa before, it's delicious! I highly recommend this place for anyone who wants to try dosa. We also got a butter chicken roti, which was also delicious. One of the best Indian food places I've tried in Toronto

Food was delicious. Like a good homestyle country savory food (and I'm from the south, that's saying a lot) … Enjoyed the whole experience very friendly staff and definitely recommend this place for a place to eat

Great tasting dosa! Paper thin and crispy. Not too spicy- even the picky eating kids liked it - chicken tikka dosa.

Awsome food! Ordered paneer dosa and the food was tastiest I’ve ever had. Customer service was wholesome. We will definitely visit this place again.

Best place to have dosa in Toronto. Tried many places for real authentic Indian dishes but this is the best of them all. Also, good customer service.

I have eaten a few times at this place and I like the taste of dishes I ordered. I have tried chicken and paneer dishes and they have been cooked to a tee. Chicken is tender and paneer has the right softness. Also, paneer is not raw and spices not overdone (I prefer mild) as you find in many restaurants in Toronto. I take Roti on the side as it doesn’t get soggy. The roti is thin and not flaky. Overall, a tasty fare.

Tried south indian dosa and noodles here, could say one of the best.same authentic taste as you get in india and they have a decent dine-in.

Pleasantly surprised by the portion sizes and the quality of the food! Really enjoyed the meal and they had a high quality meal even really late at night, when we dined. We’ll be back for more!

Staff working were wonderful. Especially one women in particular, she was very catering and happy to explain to my family each of the dishes. The food came quickly and was very delicious, I highly recommend going with friends or family! 10/10!

I visited this place twice, the food and the service was great. The only thing that I felt disgusting about was that the washroom door opens exactly in front of the dining tables. So if you are dining in then consider not accommodating those tables.

I’ve seen them in the area for at least a couple of years but never got a chance to try them until tonight. The butter chicken poutine with the serious sauce. It was delicious!

What a dosa! I have been to many dosa places, the dosa we had at this location was fabulous. Being from India, I am always looking for authentic Indian food. The giant paper thin dosa with deliciously cooked flavourful potatoes, the coconut and the tomato chutney was truly delightful. This location is by far my favourite dosa place in Canada. I highly recommend this place to everybody ️.

I tried the mysore masala dosa yesterday as I was craving for it and had not eaten anything all day. When I got home and checked my box. The dosa was so big and they put only one tiny spoon of potatoes inside. She said the Sambhar container is 8oz which was also only half full. I was so hungry but had to literally throw away over half of it as there is only plain dosa left. The size of chutney and sambhar can be much bigger I would suggest. The box looks so big but when you open it there is nothing to eat. Waste of my 16 dollars and time. If I ate this same thing in India, I would get unlimited Sambhar and chutney. What a disgrace to Indian food and especially our community. All they care about is monetizing profits. Really shameful and really not even worth eating Indian food in Toronto. I will never get the worth for my money here I guess. I can make better at home. This is not my first bad experience eating Indian food. Thank you for your time and my energy.

Finger licking South Indian food with excellent service! Tried the sambar wadas and dosas and the taste is full of flavours that remind you of home! Would definitely recommend!

Love this place! I got mango lassi and an amazing samosa chaat and everything was so authentic and delicious and fresh. They're also very nice and friendly.

I love their dosa. Crispy and crunch! Get along with well made their sauces. Customer service was excellent well. Be patience when you get really hungry! Worth it to wait.

Ordered some dosa from skip the dishes and it arrived fairly quickly and beautifully presented in pizza boxes. It was a perfect lunch to have at the office. And of course it was gluten-friendly for a Celiac like me. The food itself was very well prepared and tasted absolutely delicious. The only cautionary warning I would offer is that there's a very good chance you're going to overeat? Luckily I have willpower so I have leftovers for lunch tomorrow.

Bought Mysore masala dosa tasted yummy.and cheese dosa I thought it will be fully loaded but wasn’t I couldn’t taste the cheese other than that place was neat and clean good customer service…probably won’t get cheese dosa again maybe will try other things n the menu

I visited this place yesterday. I must say that the food was so amazing with superb ambience. I feel like I have visited India for a while. Such a friendly staffs who made us so comfortable. I personally recommend that this is best place to have a Indian food. As mentioned in the shop, they provide best roti around the world. We have Chicken butter masala roti. The best part was the yummy gulab Jamun.

Their service is really slow. For a single order you have to wait for at-least 30 min extra they say you 20 min for the order but take almost around an hour. They restaurant just focuses on dine in an delivery orders for take out this is the worse restaurant location. I am really disappointed….

Wife and I went here for the first time last night around 12am. Super friendly staff and food was delicious. Ordered the masala dosa and the chicken tikka masala. Portions were good and flavorful. Definitely a staple spot for us now for dosa and late night food cravings.

The food here is good. We have tried multiple dishes like special chicken biryani, mutton (lamb) biryani, podi utappam, Idli and roti with panned butter masala. Personally I have tried chicken biryani which is good but it’s completely dry, pices were really hard and dry.mutton (lamb) biryani is also same and less pieces. Utappam is good as well as Idli. Little bit pricey but I think that would be ok if they can make the food little bit juicy.

Neat and tidy little place. Have been to other location but this one in midtown was my first. We ordered dosas to eat in which was really yummy with extra sambar and chutneys however the vadas that we ordered to go was not great taste wise. Overall it was a decent experience and the staff was super friendly.

Its sad how the new management of this place is trying to extract extra for anything and everything. I regularly use to order roti and curry from this place but as I don't like my roti dipped in gravy, I would take it on side, but today was told to pay extra $1 for it. I am not asking for an extra serve or something, yet an extra $1 on $10 item is 10% hike for a piece of aluminium foil which will be used to pack it separately.similarly last I ordered idli combo where it contained no chutney probably they have an extra $1 for it too. I understand inflation and if they had said the costs have gone up due to inflation it was understandable and would have accepted it, but this is extortion. Such practices only make businesses fail. I refuse to eat from such a place with no business ethics in place.

Honestly speaking one of the best eateries around. First time in Toronto I got spicy and really authentic paneer bhurji and the combination with rumali roti was delectable… Dosas Idli and Sambhar were also delicious and authentic…. Highly recommended

Love the Buffalo cauliflower. The food is pretty good here. I usually get the panner or okra roti. I find it more like fast food, rather than restaurant style, so it is excellent if you consider it that way. However, I noticed a decline in the quality of the food on my most recent order. Not sure what happened. But it is still good. I just hope it is a one time thing, but I see I am not the only one who thinks so.

Finally! A great Indian restaurant in the neighborhood. Love the flavours, love the simplicity in ordering, and fair prices. And thank you for including free rice as an option for the curries!

I stumbled upon this lone, South Indian nook, north of Lawrence on Yonge. The Mysore Masala Dosa on the menu caught my eye. The smiling and attentive owner presented the delectable dish with much flair and enthusiasm. The flavours were electric with just enough spices. Washing it all down with a smooth mango lassi made the whole experience unique. If you are in this neck of the woods, it's worth a stop, trying on a variety of dosas and rotis.

Super amazing food, very quick service and absolutely polite staff. We ordered Cheese balls roti and paneer roti and it was just best.

Kirti And Amrish are super humble and expert at their job. Bestest Customer service I have received in Canada. These two people definitely be appreciated in any possible way.

The food is good, the quality of service is much better, hygienic place for Indian cuisine, you can find all kinds of food, wherever you are from in India.

Paneer bhurji dosa was very good, one would fulfill your appetite yet you would go for another one for taste.

Order classic roti with supreme butter masala and cheese balls it was the best I ever had staff members were really kind.

Its been a pleasant experience in all the My Roti Place franchise I've been to so far. Good flavors, great options!

The food is decently good, but I have had the same identical problem happen twice now on two completely separate occasions: I order online on my phone, and I am then notified to pick up the food (from 3334 Yonge St) about 20-25 minutes later. No problem. I then show up 20-25 minutes later as instructed, and on my phone I can track my order, so when I check my phone upon arriving at the restaurant, it says that the food is cooked and completed and my order is ready for pickup. However, when I go to the cash to pick up the order, it becomes immediately apparent that this is totally NOT TRUE.

Both times they seemed surprised and blindsided when I mentioned my order, and then they check their system, and it’s clearly listed there, but they clearly haven’t even started making it yet. This would be forgivable if the restaurant was very busy, but both times that I went it was after 9: 00 PM on weekdays, and it wasn’t even CLOSE to busy then. “Do you mind waiting 10 minutes? It won’t take long. ” Well, the first time I didn’t mind that much. Stuff happens. But this time, now that I see a pattern and I know that they are clearly not on top of things, I seriously DO mind. I think you should respect your customers’ orders and not waste their time.

Also - similar to other comments/reviews: they package the roti weirdly in plastic, with room for steam to move around, resulting in roti that gets soggy. Like a wet diaper. The curry is tasty, but the texture of the roti literally ruins it, mainly because of the packaging they use. IF I ever go back, which is a serious if, I would probably assume that getting the curry with rice would be way better.

I had a ridiculously delicious dosa with minced lamb here yesterday. I could only eat half, but what I took home heated in the microwave today surprisingly well and was almost as good as fresh since the rice flatbread seems to have re-crisped. I’m gluten sensitive and have a few other health issues — seeing as my head cleared and I felt better than usual after eating at My Dosa Place speaks volumes and is great encouragement to keep going back! The woman answering the phone and at the till was able to inform me about what on the menu was gluten free (and is annotated on the menu) - very much appreciated! I’m thrilled to find that dosas are gluten free and so delicious. The bottled orange juice they sell went perfectly with the mild spice in the lamb dosa.

Great taste. Definitely a go to place for Dosa. Excellent service by Keerthi as well! She was wonderful. A big shoutout for her.

Not so happy experience!

After reading some reviews online, I ordered Creamy Nutty Korma (Chicken) Roti from this place.

Just for some authencity context: I grew up eating and cooking Indian cuisine and I take pride in Indian flavours.

So let’s start with the packaging, they could use boxes condusive to hot packaging as the food inside gets soggy due to steam. Apart from that for sanitary reasons they should use bag with handles like the ones paper bags has it (go eco friendly!) and seals to make sure it hasn’t been tampered with once it was packed.

Moving on to the actual food flavours, it was very flat and extremely mild. I have had this same curry before but at a different location and it used to be my go to options, but since then the quality has extremely deteriorated. Probably the location plays a vital role here, wasn’t it suppose to be same recipe across different locations?

Anyway coming to the point with the consistency of the korma, it was quite runny (more than it should be) making the Roti even more soggy. The chicken pieces (more like chunks) were more than the bite size it should be, dry and no flavour in the meat (under-seasoned).

Customer Service: good, considering they gave me extra papa dams (which I requested) and gulab jamun. Even though the polite gesture of providing something extra, it didn’t make up for the underwhelming food.

Sadly, not a place I would recommend to a friend anymore.

Food was great, we had the hakkah chili chicken, plain dosa and mysore, all were great however the chili chicken was more like Tikka Masala and far from hakka but nonetheless was yummy. The staff were courteous and friendly, will certainly return.
