My Storage

My storage is a well run efficient storage business. Their customer service rep Alex suggested the perfect storage space that was in a great location relative to main doors and elevators making it very easy to access my space.
Access is at all times and the common areas are well kept and clean with great loading trucks to assist with moving in and out.

Alex went above and beyond with professionalism and friendliness while signing us up for the storage facility. This review is for the initial impression as I just signed up today but so far everything looks good - well priced, organized, accessible, and clean.

I had two very unfortunate experiences at 7 Copeland. Both due to water. In the winter, cars and trucks driving into the facility bring ice/snow/slush into the building; the melted water bled into our unit which was on the main street and damaged the high value items on the floor. My Storage took no responsibility, they did offer to let us move to a new unit. Not a year later, there was a roof leak right into our unit. I have record of over 50 attempts to work with My Storage to have some compensation only to get stonewalled. Sadly insurance didn't cover the second round of damage. I couldn't afford to stay there anymore.

From having one of the most unfortunate experiences at another storage company, I was struggling to find a unit for my stuff after I already packed it into moving vehicle. Drove around the corner and luckily found My Storage on Copeland Avenue in Toronto. These guys are great. They were Very helpful. I worked with a customer service agent named Jake and he took care of everything which was amazing. So coming from the worst experience, these guys here at this location made it the best experience. And I can finally move in now and enjoy my day. I highly recommend my storage. Staff were Very professional, very quick and efficient. Great place!

I rented a small storage unit at this facility from 2014 to 2023.

The service was smooth and easy. They provided for all my storage needs, moving in and out. Staff were friendly and conscientious. Facilities are well run, up-to-date and clean, including bathrooms. They even provided complementary water, coffee and chocolates in the office. Nice details!

Pro tips:

1. If you are storing things long-term, like me, remember to put a dust cover over your boxes and other items and bring cleaning/dusting supplies when you are moving out, as you will be surprised how much dust can build up over time. (This is not a reflection on the cleanliness of the facility. Its just what happens in a space that hasn't been dusted for 11 years.)

2. Also remember you need to give 27 days notice before moving out. They were cool about waving this for me because I was a long term renter but may not do this for you.

The site manager (Tad) on duty was super helpful and very quick to address a minor problem before it became a major one.

Been with my storage for a little over 4 months. I had a wonderful experience with someone by the name of Emily. She was polite, and extremely helpful when I called to ask a few a questions and make payment. Great customer service!

Sandra was the best person that helped me out with a storage unit. The best person to see there and she will help you with all your needs!

One of the access doors on the south side of the building hasn't worked in over a month. Lights in the storage area burn out and some time passes before they get replaced. Carts used to move goods can be difficult to manage - similar to a grocery cart with a bad wheel. I've also been made aware that there has been a recent string of break-ins. I see no security cameras in the building or posted notices. Clean and conveniently located.

The My Storage team provided all the services we needed in a professional and friendly way. The next storage space we need, we'll definitely be coming back!

Had a great experience using my storage delivery bins, right to my house no fuss. Got 4 bins filled and collected to be stored at their facility!

Just tried out My Storage’s new bin delivery to my home and it was honestly one of the best experiences. It was so easy to schedule a pickup online and meet the driver outside to put my stuff into the bins, then hand it over for them to take it to the storage facility without me ever having to go in myself. It’s nice to know my things are always just a delivery away, I would totally recommend this service its a great price and so convenient.

I tried out the new my storage boxes service, as it was less than $7 dollars per bin a month. They came straight to my house even waited fifteen minutes really patiently while I quickly loaded my stuff into the bins so they could be brought back to the facility. I love the fact that anytime I need it, they bring it back, and it doesn’t make my home messy. The whole process was super smooth and easy! Loved it!

Good place but the south door entry keypad needs some maintenance as we had difficulty entering. Took us 3 times and finally on our second load we used the north doors for entry which worked much better for us. Location was convenient & pricing was fair. Flatbed dollies on site are very helpful.

Living in an apartment doesn’t leave much room for extra space and this place is 5 minutes down the road for me so confident, love how it’s open 24/7, the ladies at the front desk are also super nice

Being a student without enough space and time is really frustrating so im totally in love with my storages new Bins programs with delivery and pick up, is so extremely useful when I’m crunched on time totally recommend it! Service was amazing as well!

Office spaces and storage units here are charged a tax which is unheard of in America.and to make matters worse they charge for electricity which is the responsibility of the owner. I have a storage unit in New York they don’t charge for electricity or taxes there. It’s not mandatory. Do better. Be honest

I was a client at this facility for many, many years. When I first moved in, I was told my unit was a 10x10 and was charged for a 10x10. I realized later that in fact the unit was a 9x10. I spoke to the manager at the time and they assured me they would make it right and reduce my rent. They didn't. I asked several times about this and was assured many, many times that someone would get back to me right away. Surprise, surprise, no one ever did. So I say to anyone renting here - BE CAREFUL you get and pay for what you've been promised. These scoundrals are making piles of money. Never feel bad for them. Shop around. I will be doing this institution a favour - I will re-post this every 4 weeks - just like they overcharged me every 4 weeks. Perhaps for years and years.

Nice and easy going staff, friendly and understanding.i went last week April 26,2019 and booked a turck for two days but next day i did changed my mind for one day they did refund my one day and i did change my time 1pm to 5pm which they was happy to do it. Price is better than uhaul. Big truck for $50/24 hrs + $20 insurance = 500KM:)

I love My Storage - Copeland! They are priced competitively. They are clean. The location is easy to get to and the locker sizes are great! 10's across the board from this Realtor!

Great facility, it is clean and dry. The staff are courteous and they have some innovative solutions for different kinds of storage use.

The staff is very cooperative at My Storage, not to mention the storage rates are resonable. Totally satisfies with my experience.

The storage space was big enough for our needs. The cost was reasonable compared to other storage lockers in the city. They did have trouble setting up the credit card payment and charged us extra for that because of their mistake. We managed to get the problem fixed and the charges waived but didn't like that we had this problem in the first place.

I've been storing my belongings here for over a year. Every time I go in for anything the staff is so friendly and so helpful.

Are you looking to get a production workshop with an electric socket just enough to charge your phone then surely Move here.

Are you looking to move in an unsafe location where doors open without a security code - Yes, 24/7 security where door opens without a damm code then move here.

Are you looking to be charged on top of the roof for which you can have the similar unit at a fraction of the cost - Yes if you want that move here.

Like their misleading advertisement says - Looking to make your dream car or wood workshop or workshop available for all types of purposes - Yes but could anyone explain a workshop with a power socket that can only be used to charge your phone or computer, No Power tools or anything, let alone machinery of any kind.

And you pay a whopping big sum of money for a small space with No Internet access, No heating, a 15 amp socket which they apparently call it as a Production Workshop.

Last but not the least, If you hate your personal belongings or your office stuff or just want to get rid of all your loved possessions, just have it auctioned, its a cheap place to bring your stuff and have it auctioned, only unfortunate part is that they will not give you the proceeds of the auction.

I have been a Victim of this scam and they will not negotiate a Penny with you for any reason whatsoever, however All the facts that i have mentioned above should be explicitly mentioned in their website so consumers should know that they are not getting what they are promised.

Horrible.everything’s a lie. Bay doors never work units are not the right size. Rats feces everywhere all the staff are visually and verbally miserable. You won’t get your deposit back. The “owner” is going to copy and paste the same generic response to this negative review just like all the other ones. The company doesn’t care about the service they are providing, they only care about squeezing every penny out of you. Rates increase without notice. Lots of better storage facilities in the area! I moved across the street! Goodluck!

Never ever trust this place with your belongings. Locker was broken into. Sentimental items were stolen. They also charge you for "climate controlled" units, but it is freezing in there. Stuff that didn't get stolen is actually ruined because it froze. When I complained about the heat, they said it was at the recommended level and there was nothing that could be done. Go somewhere else. There are many many many other options in Toronto!

Don't rent from here. The place is UNSECURE! They also overcharge for climate controlled lockers and you can see your breath. Go somewhere else if you value your items.
