The price is very reasonable. The food is excellent and authentic. The owner is so friendly and gives you great service. Love this place for Thai food. Highly recommend

Upon visiting My Thai Village Restaurant, I was instantly captivated by a culinary journey that beautifully embodied authentic Thai flavours. This restaurant exemplifies excellence in Thai cuisine, enhanced by an atmosphere that is as welcoming as it is beautifully adorned.

The restaurant's ambiance creates a perfect backdrop for a delightful meal, blending traditional Thai aesthetics with modern comfort. Its tasteful decor, soft lighting, and the mellifluous background music contribute to a dining environment that is both comfortable and engaging.

The menu at My Thai Village Restaurant is extensive and diverse, offering a plethora of authentic Thai dishes that cater to a variety of tastes. During my visit, I opted for the green curry and Pad Thai, both of which were exquisitely prepared and presented.

The green curry was a fragrant, spicy delight, with perfectly cooked vegetables and tender pieces of chicken, all bathed in a rich and creamy sauce. The Pad Thai was equally impressive, a well-balanced dish featuring soft noodles, crunchy peanuts, fresh vegetables, and succulent shrimp. The common thread? Both dishes showcased an outstanding balance of traditional Thai flavours.

Equally notable was the staff's exceptional service. They were attentive, polite, and professional, enhancing the dining experience with their hospitality and knowledge about the menu. I appreciated their willingness to make recommendations and accommodate dietary preferences, ensuring a satisfying meal for every guest.

Ordered take out through the phone, service was quick and friendly. Food was delicious, would recommend the Khao Soy if you like noodles and curry

Update March 2023 (Removing 3 stars, from 5 to 2 stars) :
I rarely leave negative reviews but unfortunately the last two experiences we have had at this restaurant have not been positive.

About 3 months ago, we ordered a few dishes and one of the had noodles that were inedible as they were burnt. We thought this was an unfortunate random error, so we notified the restaurant, and they replaced the dish.

Last week we ordered several dishes, including Pad Thai and Curry dishes. We felt the dishes were not as delicious as before (we have been clients for years), in particular the Pad Thai that used to be one of the outstanding dishes before, was salty and and lacking in authentic Thai flavours.

I felt unwell and couldn't sleep well. Much to my surprise, my wife was feeling the same way. We think that it is likely this restaurant either accidentally overdid it with the MSG, or is replacing authentic flavours and more expensive ingredients with MSG. The symptoms included feeling digestion was heavy and being quite thirsty over the next 24 hours, as well as feeling tired. Because both of us felt similar symptoms and we had cooked all the other meals of the day at home, we know the issue was the Thai meal we ordered.

Leaving this here in case this is not a one off, and someone else feels the same way after they order from My Thai Village. We are not ordering again from this place, although we hope owners take notice and monitor quality and new kitchen employees more closely.

Food is delicious, tasty and balanced. Nice decor, cozy environment and attentive servers.

I ordered for uber eats and they did a great job. I ordered extra meat because of all the comments about not getting enough meat and yes it's true like they could have done a little bit more meat even. Though I paid an extra like five bucks for meat. Other than that that's my only concern the food was delicious. We had the glass noodles, the fried rice with curry and pineapple, and the green curry with chicken and shrimp. The meal was very good really tasty delicious still came hot.

Just a note to the owners that you should leave an area on Uber eats that allows people to make requests or adjustment such as like no green peppers.

I wish I lived in Kanata because this would be my go-to. Had Pad Thai, a curry dish and a couple of beef dishes, everything was delicious!

This is one of the best, if not the best Thai in Ottawa. It is so fresh, and full of flavor! Every time we order it we are blown away at how delicious it is!

This a beautiful experience and the beef soup was to die for.
Would recommend going here because the food was very good indeed and the owner was also very friendly!

The food is excellent. Had green curry shrimp and pad Thai with shrimp. Both were hot, full of vegetables that were perfectly cooked. Great taste and good friendly service.

The dishes were tasty but very little meat was given. For $16, there were less than 8 small slivers of beef. So disappointed because the sauce was tasty.

Loved the food here and the owner of the restaurant. I was visiting a friend from out of town and he let us stay and talk forever. The food was amazing as was the service. The price is beyond fair. This is a beautiful little cozy spot with good food for an unbeatable price.
