I've been seeing Jessica at Nail Bar for over a year now and I would highly recommend her to anyone. She always does an amazing job, is friendly and professional. The salon is very clean and they have a huge collection of colours. Would absolutely recommend!

I’ve been going to NailBar for several years and always try to book with Jessica. She’s a pro – fast, efficient and consistent. My dip nails last four weeks and I always look forward to going back to try another colour.

My wife and mother went in for a basic pedicure, for which they paid almost $150, and one of the aesthetician arrived late without apologies, then forgot them once the treatment was complete. They had to clean themselves off and left without any comment from the staff. Unacceptable.

Clean salon. Tons of colour choices for dip. My manicures from here last up to a month. Love the online booking. Usually there is parking on the street somewhere close by. I've been a steady client for over a year now. I try and take the time to pop into other local businesses before or after my appointment.

I've been coming to Nail Bar for just over a year, and have had nothing less than amazing service. Jess is my go to nail tech for dip, she is super meticulous and very detail orientated. From a basic colour, to french, to a funky design, she has done fantastic work! On top of it, the nails are prepped and done so well that they easily last 4 weeks without chipping or breaking.

Nail Bar is modern and clean. I have always found the staff to be welcoming, professional and friendly. Jessica (@nails.byjess07 on Instagram) has been doing my nails with dip powder and every time they are perfect. From the shape, to the length, to the color and/or design, Jessica takes the time to make sure you are getting what you came in for. I highly recommend it!

I’ve been going to Nail Bar for 4 years for dip nails. Started going to Jessica 3 years ago, love her creativity. I usually come in with an idea and she always executes perfectly. Highly recommend!

Been going here for nearly 2 years! Jessica is absolutely amazing, I am very picky and she has always made sure I am satisfied with the end result:) I havent seen another nail tech since I started going to her, highly recommend! Plus there’s no UV light so healthier for your skin and nails.

Incredible skill, flexible scheduling and great recommendations! I’ve been seeing Noi and Nail Bar for dip manicures for 5 years and 2 locations and my nails are stronger and healthier than ever!

I've been to many pedicure places in and around Ottawa.
This was by far the best place I've been to. The chairs are comfortable and luxurious. The estheticians we're fantastic. They did a very good job with filling and cleaning the nails and feet. The massage wasn't too short, it was just perfect. The regular nail polish was applied evenly and dried very well.

I was quite happy with the quality of this pedicure service and would highly recommend this place!

I have been going to Nail Bar for 2 years now and it's the best dip powder in Ottawa/Gatineau region! Jessica is amazing, meticulous work and helps recommend a new shade and nails it every time. The technique she uses keeps my natural nails healthy. 100% recommend!

Ive been going to Nail Bar for almost 2 years now. Im very happy with her work. My nails look perfect up to 4 weeks or more. Not always knows which colour to pick for me. I highly recommend her.

I have gone to Nail Bar twice and I regret it.
First of all, if you book online through their website you will get rescheduled for a different time slot almost immediately. This happened with both of my appointments. Why allow for online booking if you are just going to reschedule people for a different time that they didn’t select.
Secondly, the Nail Bar staff act like they are being held against their will. I have never been to a salon with fewer happy faces. Not a single person that works there has any customer service skills. Absolutely no pleasant conversation. Just sitting for an hour and a half in silence being bored out of my mind.
Thirdly, when I went to pay the tip function was manually set to suggest 20% as the LOWEST tip option. What in the bananas is that? After not even asking me how my day is going you think at a minimum you deserve a 20% tip? The audacity of that is incredible.
Forth, Nail Bar is expensive as hell. I have done the leg work and done the price comparison agonist other salons. The fact that I left with an $80 bill on my first visit (that was after a discount code) and a $68 bill on my second visit I am honestly feeling like I should have just burned my money instead.
The only reason this salon even should be allowed 1 star is because they can actually do half decent nails. But that’s just my personal experience. My friend also went to Nail Bar and left with such lumpy nails after getting dip from them that she cried because she got her nails done for her birthday and she hated them.
If you find yourself thinking of visiting them because of Instagram, don’t. It’s not worth the hype.

Noi & team are the best in the business. Dip powder is beautiful but requires expertise to ensure a smooth natural finish. The ladies at Nail Bar achieve this every time. There are so many colours to choose from too. Booking is made easy using Vagaro app.
The salon is always clean. Nail Bar is the only place I get my nails done.

I had Lica as my nail technician and she did a great job on my shellac nails. I would recommend this salon as affordable and good quality. Something to note is that they are currently renovating their pedicure room so they can do pedicures but they are not able to use the traditional pedicure chairs

First time visiting Nail Bar and Hannah did my Biogel french manicure. So impressed with the final result! Hannah was so patient and asked me at every step if I like it or if I need anything altered. I really appreciated her patience, especially that it took precision and time. Very kind and welcoming.

Went for an “express pedi” and dip manicure with design 2 days before leaving for a vacation. When I showed up for my appointment I was greeted pretty quickly and brought back to the room for my “pedicure”. Turns out they’re in the middle of a renovation and they don’t have sinks for pedicures. I was asked if this would be okay. Seeing as how I was leaving for vacation and I was already there I agreed to proceed with the express pedi. The girl had me sit on a spa chair (similar to what you would sit on when getting a facial or brows/lashes done) for my pedicure which was extremely uncomfortable for this sort of service considering the way the girl instructed me to sit. I was told to sit up with my feet flat on the chair, close to the end of the chair. Not enjoyable. The chair was also lifted in the air and was pretty shaky. They should consider removing any pedicure services until this renovation is complete. The dip/design mani was a better experience and I was happy with the result initially. However, 3 days later the top coat on my mani started to bubble and peel off. 2 of my toes were also without polish after a few days.

The prices are ridiculous considering the experience and the quality, even with a “discount” that I was supposedly told I had received. I will not be going back.

I have been a client of Nail Bar for over 3 years now and am always impressed! Not only are they great at nails, the cleanliness is top notch.

Great dip mani! I like the option to book online. The appointments run on time and the manicures and pedicures are always amazing!

I've been going to NailBar for quite some time now and it NEVER disappoints. The work that is done by Noi is always amazing and I will follow any location they move to:)

Very happy with my third visit to Nail Bar Ottawa. Lots of colour options, lovely and professional staff, and a great experience.
31 October 2021 22:08
This place is very cute inside and upon leaving, I actually loved the service and look of my nails (I got dip powder with extensions). However, the next day 2 broke while I was changing. The following day two more broke. At first I wasn't going to get them fixed as it's a 30 minute drive from my home but because I was so bothered, I did. I got them fixed at no charge. I thought it was a one off with them breaking but turns out 3 additional nails broke, breaking my real nail along with it which is extremely painful and two nails chipped. I will 100% not be returning. My appointment wasn't even three weeks ago.
23 September 2021 12:40
First experience with dip nails. Jessica was very patient and explained what she was doing. I love my nails and I'll definitely be back!
15 September 2021 20:01
I am extremely frustrated and I did not even visit the salon yet. I booked a day, then receive a text message to confirm with a link a few days prior. I actually wanted to cancel, but my only option was to click the link. So I did and it said my appointment was confirmed! I logged into my profile and selected cancel appointment. A message popped that i had to call a number to cancel. So i called many times on different days and left many messages that i cancelled along with all my specific details. Guess what, today i get a text that my apoitnemnt is marked as no show. You know what, I dont care. Please remove my data and profile from your system, I will never be back! Valeria

I live in Montreal and I come down every 3 weeks to come see Betty for my dipping powder. She’s the best and she never fails to disappoint me! I would highly recommend her!
24 August 2019 6:10
Have tried so many places and finally found my go to spot! All the girls there are super friendly and accommodating. I got the dip nails with Annie and will never go back to shellac or acrylics. My nails never used grow and always chip but I've been getting them done regularly for 6 months now and my nails have never been so long and strong. Highly recommended to anyone! Ask for annie, she's the best!
21 August 2019 11:32
The atmosphere was good and the staff was friendly. I got a colour shellac manicure and it looked great but after 2 DAYS my nails chipped and started to peel of at the bottom. I would not recommend the colour shellac manicure even though the price was good.

Nail bar is my go to salon. Betty is amazing! I’ve been going to her for a little over a year now and she never fails to disappoint me. I always get the dipping powder, it is the best thing ever.especially since I was nail biter before, now I get nothing but the dipping powder it helped my nails grew so much. This place is clean, has an good atmosphere full with good vibes and people, would highly recommend!

Love this place - clean, friendly and has a great vibe. Dip nails are a must and really do last for 3-4 weeks. Jessica is my go-to and she's fantastic. Highly recommend.

I have tried contacting this salon SEVERAL times now and still have not heard anything from them. Will definitely be going elsewhere.

Pretty and clean salon. Friendly staff. Highly recommend the dip nails - they *actually* last for 3-4 weeks without any chipping.

Excellent service. La technicienne était douce et sympathique. Très belle manucure, bon rapport qualité prix.
14 March 2019 11:47
Think twice about going there. Just because they advertise as high end, you may not get the service you're looking for.

The morning of the appointment I got a text and call to push back the appointment by 30 minutes. I confirmed the cost for a mani pedi and shellac on my toes and dip on my hands. I was told 60$ for the shellac and 65$ for the dip. It was higher than what expected and was willing to pay, but I figured I would finally get the great service I've been looking for PEDICURE I have to say the pedicure was the best one I've ever received. The attention and care she put towards my feet were amazing. The sponge, buffer, and many other items were disposed after she used them (a plus in my book), the only item that seems to be reused between clients is the nail filer. All the nail techs are soooo nice, and friendly. I wanted rounded corners/round nails and although my nails were really short, she tried to file them down as best as she could. The colour looked a bit different than what was on the sample, but I kinda liked it, either way, can I really do much and say that I dont like after the shellac has cured and she's done? I thought maybe I was picky, but when I got home I noticed instead of a dark pink-taupey colour, it was bright and orangey. I also noticed that the corners of some of my nails were very sharp (potentially due to not enough filing or the excess of polish?) BUT my feet were cleaned very very well. MANICURE While she did my pedicure I kept saying how I'd had bad experiences and I dont like how nail techs only used the filer to push back the cuticles and dead skin for dip, and I like to get manicures beforehand (as I had also scheduled when first booking my appointment). When I got the manicure station she started buffing my nail with the drill and she kinda pushed back the cuticles, but then I noticed she wasn't going to do the actual manicure (using the clipper thing to cut dry skin, and hangnails and cuticles, adding the gel to soften it all). So i told her I wanted that and had actually booked for that too even if it cost more it was ok (it was an extra 5$). So she pushed back the cuticles and she kinda cut the hangnails, but it was all so dry and white that at that point I couldn’t tell for sure if it was done properly, so I trusted her and let it slide. The dipping process was fine, until the end when she put the last clear top coat and I noticed when it dried it was smooth and even and she acknowledged there was a bubble (there shouldn't be + she did nothing to fix it). It had been getting late and we were both tired and eager to get home so I didn’t want to make a huge fuss out of it and figured not much could really be done at that point. I also asked if the white powder would come off easily once I washed my hands and she said yes. I come home and wash my hands several times and moisturize and it barely did anything. It also hurt to take off the polish on my skin and I noticed I had a lot of dead skin around the nails (which would not be there if I had a proper manicure). Today is the next day and I washed and moisturized more, same result. Sharp parts of top coat on the corner of thumbs (impossible to take off), skin feels numb, and all of the polish ish bumpy, uneven and even a little matte looking. It’s hard to tell from the pictures here, but in person the white has pinkish and sparkling hues, when I picked French white (whitest of white) I feel bad for being so picky, but I was very clear with what I wanted and after paying 143$ ish plus 20$ tip, a whopping 163$ in total, I shouldn’t have to do extra work to make my nails nice when I get home. What if I had to go to an event? I completely regret going there and paying that much, but I feel bad because they were all so nice and attentive.

Salon is very nice, clean and high end though.

UPDATE: Went to redo my nails, it's much better than the first, but service aside, I still dont think it's worth 150+$ which come to find out I supposedly got a discount. My suggestion try another salon for much less money and better end results.

First of all, I would like to start off by saying awesome staff. Very nice, great conversation.

However- $50 for a set of shellac nails? The price on the menu said $25 full set shellac. When I asked for the breakdown she said $20 + $25, but I don’t know where the $20 came from.

I feel ripped off, and I was too shy to ask about the pricing because I was with a new friend. I’ve gotten full sets with fake tips before and dip for $50 before tax at other nail places. Not impressed. My friend ended up paying ~$65 for dip nails without fake tips.

Service (for this price) wasn’t extraordinary. Places who usually pride themselves on being higher end salons usually offer coffee, tea, etc.

Shellac looks nice, but does this look like a $50 (before tip) manicure to you?
22 February 2019 11:39
The women who work here are friendly however the quality of work my friend and received was not up to par. I spent $150 on a pedicure and Powder Dip manicure, which is absurd. The finished looks is not smooth at all on my nails, and I would much rather have had a shellac. They talked us out of Shellac and suggested the Powder Dip, which was a bad choice. The lines on my friends french tips are uneven and not crisp at all, and everyone who's looked at her nails has commented that they are oddly bumpy/clumpy looking. We're both from Toronto and did not have time to return and have them fixed, however I want to warn you to avoid the powder dip option. My manicure did not involved any nail prep aside from buffing, so the thick clear top coat is stuck to my cuticle and pooled at the base of my nails. I doubt these will last even a few weeks, as the finish is already scratched up quite a bit, and the colour is translucent even after she applied 3 coats.

This is the story of a first-timers experience at the Nail Bar (well, any nail salon, in fact). I've never been into getting my nails done, but I wanted to be fancy and decided to give this place a go since it had pretty solid reviews. I got dip-nails with acrylic extensions. At first I asked for either coffin or almond shape nails, but the girl who did my nails convinced me to go with her favourites - stilletto's. While I liked what she did and enjoyed my time getting my nails done, I was shocked that the price ended up being $75. Maybe this is standard for this kind of thing, but it felt excessive.

But I enjoyed my nails.for the next two days, until one broke while I was unbuttoning my coat. I didn't apply any pressure at all, it just snapped right in two. I went back and they fixed my nail for free, which was great of them. But then two days later, another nail broke (once again, I wasn't being aggressive or applying pressure to them at all).

I would rate them higher since the customer service was pretty decent (although the ladies at the cash seemed a little judgemental), but I just feel like if I'm paying $75 (and they told me this would last for around 3 weeks), then I shouldn't be breaking nails left and right.
