Nakwon Korean Restaurant(NorthYork)

Delicious; I enjoyed the six side dishes with my gamja tang. There is good privacy with tall walls for the booth seats. There is a button at the tables to call for a server to assist. I tried the pork bone soup with ramen (instead of rice). I think it pairs better with rice to be able to balance the flavour better. Really delicious. Seems they close at 5: 30 am rather than 6 based on the staff there.

Came here with my friend. We ordered the following:

1.dduk boki (rice cake with sweet and spicy sauce)
2.jajangmyun (black bean sauce noodle with pork and vegetables).

Lots of side dishes were provided, but the food was just alright.

There was a small roach on my girlfriends and I's meal, so small that we didn't even realize it was there. Disgusting!
The lady just told us that we didn't have to pay, and gave us cans of coke for the "inconvenience". NEVER COMING BACK AGAIN.

First time going and it was decent. Service was fast and excellent. Food always came quickly.

We love the food here, service was great. We got seated right away, the food came out within 15 minutes after we place order.

The japchae I ordered via DoorDash is too salty. I think there is too much soy sauce as the color of the noodle is too dark. I cannot eat it. Unfortunately no refund for me. Wasted $20 for this. This restaurant used to have a good food.

Force us to tip and the lady at the cashier was very rude. Would even tip out if the service was good but it wasn’t.

Great comfort foods. Attentive wait staff. Only thing to keep in mind is that prices have increased quite significantly since the new year.

Most of the foods tasted great and the service was excellent!

It was a bit dark there inside the private room, and made it hard for us to read the menu.

They should put more efforts to properly maintain the cleanliness of their wahsrooms. They were dirty, had strong foul odor and poorly lit.

Good luck in finding a parking spot on the street or in the parking lot behind Shoppers' Drug Mart.
I came there at 8 pm on Tuesday, but I still had to wait more than 15 mins to finally get a spot.

It'll be better next time for me taking a subway to get there, as it's just a stone's throw away from TTC Station.

Food is good. Worth the $$.
Parking round the corner is a rip off… after 6pm it is flat rate of $12

I come pretty often since I live nearby and the food is pretty good, but the service is not amazing to say the least. Every time I’ve gone they seem to be lacking in service. Recently when I went this time it was pretty good up until the end where the women asked for more tip and why we gave so little. While I explained they had little to no service which is why I tipped lower than standard she assumed the food was bad. I told her that tip is not mandatory and is dependent on the service. This kinda seems like a rant but yeah, if you like Korean food i’d say this is a pretty good spot if you don’t mind the service being meh.

Old lady was rude. Called us "fat people" in korean and she thought nobody can understand her.

I've had Korean food all over Toronto, and this place has the best Gamjatang in the city hands down.
I find that their Ban Chan is best in the area as well. The service is very quick and friendly.

Food is good, but small portions good for two or small eater if big eater is not enough. Waitress was busy, and when you ask for extra side appetizers dishes, she will gives until the 3 rd time, they say limited or last call.well the place is traditional styles lots of seats.

Heard about this place, decided to give it a try as a late night snack. Food was good and the servers were really friendly. I like how they kept refilling our side dishes and asking if we needed more without us asking. Only thing missing from this place when we dined in was some music, way too quiet.

I know each person has different taste, but for me, this one is above the average. I don't understand why the review is so low.

It was my second time going to this place. The first time I dined here was great, which is why I suggested to my friends that we go here. However, what me and my friends experienced was horrible customer service. The food taste good, but when we asked for one of the side dishes to be refilled, the lady grudgingly took the little dish and came back sliding the side dish a little roughly on the table. There were four of us and we only asked for one side to be refilled so why the unnecessary attitude? Also when it came time to pay our individual bills, one of my friends gave no tip, but the lady felt the need to humiliate my friend and essentially us by asking loudly why there was no tip included. She kept repeating this question but we were just speechless by her brazenness. If the customer service had been decent, we would have happily justified a bigger tip but the overall experience was meh. We went home upset.

Excellent food. Excellent service. Did I mention, excellent food?

Ordered the Bulgogi Bibimbap. Generously portioned, hot, fresh and the table side gochujang is always a bonus for a spice-lover like me.
All tables are set up as booths, so you're given that extra bit of privacy when dining with friends or a date. All tables also come with a call-button so it takes away time spent flagging down a server. They come right to you when you need refills on anything.

I've been here twice in two weeks so that should speak for itself, if it's any reflection on the food/service.

No star actually. The elder korean server was so rude. She didn’t understand that we ordered extra rice for a side. Next thing we know that she brought 6 side dishes and a meal we never asked for. She called us “crazy bitch” mishin yang in korean and pointing fingers at my friend who didnt even order from her. What kind of server call their costumer that? The cashier lady was also rude.

The food was good but the crazy old lady makes it a horrible experience to dine in there.

It's a simple place, but they provide an excellent food with a fair price. Also we don't wait too much to start eating.

We also like the staff - pretty friendly and respectful.

And the extra: there is a green p parking tight behind (the side street) of the restaurant and we don't need do worry about to gain ticket since we can use the app to park while enjoying the food there.

Or we can go to the FINCH subway station which os located 50m far from there or 1mnt by walking (I believe).

The food quality has dropped so much. The quantity has become smaller. The price has increased so much that it is totally don't worth.
