Didn't liked the attitude of the staff towards customers. It was first time to do the Nails and they didn't want to answer properly it felt they just wanna complete the nails and doesn't care if customer is happy or not. Could have been better

Thu has been my go to nail girl for 3 years now and I’ll never go anywhere else! She does my nails perfect every time and the conversation is amazing! Love you Thu, you’re the best!

I own and run 2 clinics where I always ask the stellar clients where they get their nails done, its always THU. After hearing over and over again I finally made an appointment about 5-6 months ago and I will never stray away.

Sets are always on point, last long/strong. Amazing treatments and designs as always. Thu and her team are amazing and welcoming. I always love whatever Thu suggests, she gets me lol. I would highly recommend.

I’ve been to Nancys Nails several times over the past ~5-6 years I’ve lived in Barrie. Always very happy with the results. The staff are super friendly and really good at what they do. I hadn’t actually been in about the last two years but I did go recently and was happy with the job they did. I showed a picture of some olive green French tips and Lynn matched them perfectly! The only thing I will say is maybe the tips she chose for a few of my nails did not quite fit/weren’t glued down properly because once I got home I noticed there was a big gap between the acrylic nail/tips and my own nail on several nails and it’s a little annoying because of material (hand lotion, lint, food) getting stuck between and it’s a pain to scrape it out and I’m also a bit of a germaphobe, but because overall I was happy with the results and have had several good experiences in the past, I still felt they deserved 5 stars.

Neat and nice place with friendly staff there's a lovely pedicure seat for children to make them feel like princesses. They keep to appointments and could sneak you in to free times if you don't have one and really want to do a mani or pedicure

The whole salon is beautiful and Thu is without a doubt the best nail tech I’ve ever been to. She never disappoints!

The WORST experience ever. I booked an appointment with a MONTH in advanced with Thu, I found her profile on Instagram “Nailzbythu” thinking she is an independent tech but she’s not. After that, she asked for the design ideas and I sent them to her, all good till there.
A week before the day, I texted her to confirm my appointment and apparently she forgot, but I could show up after she changed the time many times.
So before she started, she is letting me know she CAN’T do the design I sent to her, but okay, we changed it, I gave her a chance. Next, to shape the mail she use a scissors and CUT my finger, immediately started bleeding and then she’s like “relax your fingers” while filing the nails but well hoooow? It hurts. She didn’t care it all.
So, I just decided to let her finish, but again more surprises. She finished a NEW SET of acrylics in AN HOUR! She left acrylic all over my fingers and cuticles, my nails hurts me!
Terrible! Not the long I wanted, not the design, not the color.
Don’t go there, I will rate them a 0 if I could.

The gentleman that did my nails took his time to ensure they would look amazing! He was very careful during the whole process. Very happy with the results

My hand was burning from the amount of nail stuff she put on my nails and I told her 5 times it was hurting and she kept telling me to ignore it and that she will “go back and fix it” despite it hurting so much I couldn’t sit still. And she got mad at me for not being still when she’s hurting me!
AND my nails are ruined from the thick nails she gave me. They took a month for the nails to be ready to come off and my best friends FELL OFF two weeks prior to when I had to force mine off.
I’m not satisfied and I do NOT recommend going to this nail salon. If I could give 0 stars I would

I have been seeing V every two weeks since the beginning of June and she has done an amazing job each and every time. Her attention to detail is unparalleled and the quality for money is an incredible value. She is gentle which I appreciate and is a great conversationalist. If you're feeling chatty, she'll chat. If you're looking to relax, she'll let you do that too.

Very disappointed I took my two daughters for pedicures my youngest daughter was not happy with her pedicure she wanted white on the tips of the nail the girl messed up and got the white on her nail so my daughter then went with all white, my oldest got a foot and leg massage the youngest didn't, her left foot was not filed properly we did not notice right away she still had dry/dead skin, we left at 145 I called 30 minutes later (2: 15) and was told I could come back at 4 pm, I had tried to explain to whoever answered the phone that my daughter was from out of town (Edmonton) and would not be in Barrie at 4, she responded oh its been 45 mins and it probably just needs more oil as I'm trying to talk she responds ok thank you bye and hangs up, we went home and my daughter filed it herself, if we had of noticed before we left she def wold not have gotten a tip, a $134 dollars (not) well spent, my first time there and I would never use them again

Nancy's nails was recommended to me. This was a great experience. My nails look amazing. Very professional. Did exactly what I requested. I am definitely going back. So glad I went.

I've been looking for a nail salon for months and I finally found one that 1) clean 2) knows their products 3) gentle 4) detail oriented. The lady who did mine was very focused and almost a perfectionist. Totally suggest will be returning

I have been too MANY nail salons. By far the best! I drive 45 minutes to just go there. Professional, friendly, and ALWAYS the best nails (never painful like some other salons!)

Absolutely love! Nice clean quiet salon and always give me what I want whether is cute or in your face dramatic they know how to do it!

Would not recommend or return.
I got a pedicure and during it my heel was cut in 2 places. They were not forthcoming about telling me and only mentioned it when there were drops of blood on the towel. I haven’t received many pedicures in my life and never had this been the case (first time to this salon as I went with a friend who lives in the area).
In all fairness I did reach out directly to make my issue know to management and the response was that they didn’t mean to hurt me (I do realize this) and what can they do to make it better. I sincerely do appreciate the response but I already paid full price and will not be returning so I do not have a suggested resolution.
I don’t normally write negative reviews but I think it’s important to share honest experiences especially when it has to do with health and well-being.

DO NOT RECOMMEND WAXING AT THIS PLACE.im in town for a week visiting my friend and decided to stop here for an underarm wax.i’ve been getting wax done for a while and i know for a fact it’s not supposed to hurt so much.the girl that did it for me was very inexperienced and acted unprofessional.she wasn’t sure what to do and how to do.she kept messing up which way to put the wax and she obviously didn’t know which way to rip off either.you are supposed to clean the wax off with oil and she didn’t even do that.i still had wax on when i left the place and got a rash right after because the skin was sensitive and she was cleaning it with alcohol.someone like her shouldn’t be doing it if not experienced enough.trust me i know it because i work at a nail place myself and worked with wax.

Went to Nancy today to get a pedicure and manicure for my wedding.

I’ve always been ridiculously self conscious about my feet (had my two big toe toenails removed in high school from rugby and they did NOT grow back normal). Nancy went ahead and created two damn toenails out of acrylic gel on both toenails and gave me normal feet. I can’t express the pure joy I am experiencing from this alone. I have normal, beautiful feet! I could literally cry with joy. I cannot thank Nancy enough for giving me back my confidence.

I was here on Saturday and got my nails done with my in laws they chopped off my actual nails (when i was working so hard to keep them good) & they automatically thought i was getting fake nails. I asked what they were doing and they ignored me. Then I was told to wait another 10 mins after them cutting them all off. I was so confused on what was happening. Then a young lady started doing my manicure and she was extremely rough and didn't do a good job at making my nails good. I then got a pedicure, and the same lady cut my dead skin off around my big toe and cut it to the point where it was bleeding good and the lady literally put glue on my cut to make it stop & I asked what she was doing and why she was doing it. And completely ignored me once again.
I'm now left with an infection in my big toe because of this place. I'm never ever going back to that place again. WASTE. OF. TIME.

The WORST experience ever. I had heard many great things about Nancy’s from many people and thought I’d give it a go. I booked an appointment with Nancy herself and was on time for my appointment and seated but still had to wait 10-15 minutes for Nancy because she was catching up with another customer. Halfway through the appointment I was told I would be charged for the length of my nails too which is the first time I’ve heard about this out of all the nail salons I’ve ever been to. All of my nails were uneven from on top and around the edges. I’ve had 5 nails break since I got them done LESS than a week ago. Nancy was very rough with the file and nicked a few of my cuticles. At the end of my appointment I was offered no cuticle oil or hand lotion and had to leave with dried out finger tips from the acetone and alcohol. I was very disappointed as I’d heard so many good things about Nancy’s. If I could give them a negative rating I would.

I went in here to get a manicure and they did a great job. She suggested getting the gel nail polish, which I'd never had before, because it was stronger and would last much longer. I was surprised how long it lasted and overall very pleased with the service and products here.

Absolutely awful experience, I got a shellac manicure and to start off she cut my cuticles which you are not supposed to do! While cutting my cuticles she cut my skin and made me bleed everywhere. She then did not dehydrate my nails before applying a base coat. From there everything went fine except for all of the unsanitary tools used.until 6 days later when my nail polish is now cracking and chipping off after 6 DAYS! I can do my own shellac nails at my house and it will last a lot longer then these. I AM EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED

Thu was amazing! I normally go to a different salon, but my nail guy has moved away. I was skeptic at first, but she did my nails exactly how I wanted them! Definitely recommend. Great customer service, and I know great service!

Terrible service. I’ve been coming to Nancy’s Nails for a few months. They’ve overbooked and I had to wait an extra 45 minutes before I could get my nails done while my friends were already done. The appointment was booked in advance. The last time I ever went I showed the owner a photo of what I wanted. A white ombré and a pink base. When she was done, you could see all the different growths of gel that was still remaining on my actual nails. Also the colour for the base turned up yellow! I asked if she could fix it and make it a pink base and that is not what I asked for. She said she could not do anything about it and she couldn’t fix it now that it was done. I still had to pay for the service and within a few days later I went back to my original nail lady at a different salon and got it fixed. The layer of gel put on my nails from Nancy’s Nails was so thick that my nail could’ve snapped. The owner didn’t speak to me the whole time getting my nails done and she was not trying to give me what I wanted. I could tell she did not want to do it.

Best nail salon I've ever been to! Staff and amenities are great, but more importantly the nail polish stays on perfectly!

Have u every imagined getting your brows done and them look great? Well that is what I was doing and I was totally convinced that this was an amazing salon in Barrie. Let me ask you this, do you want almost an inch off your brow? After I went to this salon today they totally ruined them. They are now at different heights, one is short and fat, and barely has an arch anymore. Also not to mention that the longer brow looks like complete trash. I even had to go back in the room twice to get them fixed and she destroyed them even more. I am completely embarrassed and now I start a job with terrible eyebrows. I honestly don’t even want to go out in public due to them. I highly suggest that you never go here unless your getting nails done.

WORST nail salon experience ever! Avoid this place at all costs. My technician was rude and filed my nails down to the point where they were bleeding after I complained about one crooked nail. No, my fingers aren’t naturally crooked thank you very much. Then after a half slan hour of her doing my nails and sighing every two min she threatened to cut them all off! It’s been a week now since I’ve gotten the uv gel manicure and my nails have already fallen off and I take very good care of them mind you. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!

IF THE CUTICLE CUTTER WAS CLEAN, THERE WOULD BE NO INFECTION! NO APOLOGY AND REFUSED A REFUND! COULD NOT WALK OR WEAR SHOES FOR DAYS! BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! VERY UNPROFFESSIONAL! I have been getting my nails done all around Barrie since my late teens and at 25 I have never bled so much from one finger.

The technician pointed out I had a hang nail (no where near my cuticles), and that was why my finger had started bleeding when she was cutting back my cuticles. My cuticle bed bled for 5-7 minutes to the point where I started to get worried. I know mistakes happen and decided to keep trusting her as she did apologize and seemed worried as well.

The bleeding wouldn't stop, she kept putting this blue liquid substance on my nail from what resembled an eye drop bottle (i'm guessing its supposed to help as she never told me what she was doing or what it was for). She continued on doing my other nails as I talked with my friend, checking and cleaning my finger in between each nail with no signs of the bleeding slowing down.

I continued on socializing with my friend as the technician asks me to put my hand in uv light (I was getting a shellac manicure), when I brought my hand out of the uv light there was blood all under my base coat. The technician wiped my finger and there was STILL blood on the paper towel, clearly showing signs that my cuticles were still bleeding. The technician then continued to paint colored polish over the cuts on my bleeding cuticle, that she put there! The nail polish came off today (1 week after getting them done), I though it was extremely odd as the rest of my nails are fine.

Upon further inspection of my nail, I have blood stains around the base of my nail and scabs all along my cuticle showing where I was cut. This is no where even near where the technician pointed out my "hangnail" (in photo). This is enough evidence to further prove that my nail was not clean and did not stop bleeding before being painted over with chemicals.

All this didn't bother me until today. My main point of this review is to point out. THE TECHNICIAN TOUCHED MY BLOOD WITH THE PAINT BRUSH AND THEN PUT IT BACK IN THE BOTTLE, THEN BACK ON THE SHELF FOR THE NEXT CUSTOMER.

All implements that may abrade or clip superficial skin should be immersed in an Environmental Protection Agency-approved disinfectant for at least 10 minutes and disinfected after each use, may I mention the cuticle clippers when right back in her drawer after wiping it off with a piece of paper towel. And the Blue liquid bottle touched my cuticle to be applied.

Now.thankfully I'm not. BUT! What if I was HIV positive, what if I had hepatitis that is transferable through blood or had some other blood borne pathogen. To further note the technician charged me full amount with an additional $5 for chrome on two fingers.

I will never be going back to this place again and will be sharing my story to make others aware of the cleanliness and health and safety procedures this technician had.

I do not know her name but fully expect every technician within a company to be fully trained and liable.

This is been my go to place for manicures pedicures, and I relaxing for another two years now! I really appreciate the care that all the aestheticians put into their work, I’ve had many beautiful results from my visits to this nail salon. The massages with the pedicures are to absolutely die for! The location is clean, well lit, and relatively convenient to access but your public transit or driving. I definitely recommend booking ahead of time with such a popular nail salon. Thank you very much to Nancy, and all of her attentive staff for giving me amazing experiences when it comes to manicures and pedicures!
