Nando's Ottawa (Merivale)

We ordered through Uber Eats tonight and when our order arrived, it was a completely different order. We called the restaurant and they realized there were two separate orders with the same first name. They delivered my original order within 30 minutes. The food was tasty and we had plenty leftover for another meal. Excellent customer service.

The food was decent. Been to several in South Africa so I was expecting a bit more. But still the food was acceptable. Would I go back? Probably not. But it was busy when we were there so perhaps my judgement of the food is bit off. Food portions were small considering the price. A whole chicken with three large sides (not that large) was like $50. Not a great value for the price.

I like this very much, different & delicious food, clean place, sweet workers, and good prices.

While traveling it's always hard to find good food and great Service Pulling up from Toronto Professor Wrinklez and his Dad were welcomed by a Fantastic Group of Staff working from the Front Counter to the back Kitchen! This was my best experience at Nandos and it wasn't even in our City (Toronto) The Staff took a quick mental health smile moment and Met Professor! Much Love and whoever the Manger is know you have amazing Staff because we rolled in at like 9: 47pm and they closed at 10!

Called multiple times to order, no answer. Not sure why a busy restaurant would have 1 telephone line? ! Tried to order online but kept getting errors. Had to physically go in restaurant to order. When I returned 2 hrs later for pickup order wasn’t ready. Had to repeat my name 3x for server to find order. It’s a very chaotic place when busy. People coming in after me were getting served. The food was good, didn’t care at all for the service!

Where do I start from, the worst food ever. Such a shame for Nando's.
The chicken wings were so dry and burnt. The lemon and herb sauce was watery, you could literally see water in it. The fries were too salty and dry.
Total waste of money. I wasn't pleased at all.

Had just moved into a new home earlier in the day, was tired and hungry, and needed food for the family, as we hadn't cook over at the new place yet.

We have frequently used UberEats delivery to get Nandos from here on weekends. Usually the food is great and tastes amazing, however, more often recently the food has come in burnt black and not edible. This happens more often with wings than with full chicken pieces. After this started happening, we always uncheck "Well done" option, but it seems to have made no difference.

Was awesome just on a whim decided to try n compare with those in Toronto very friendly and wow the service I ordered take out as I waited in my truck my order was taken to me did not have to leave my truck and the best part I was told it would be ready in 12 minutes I was on my way in 9

Great customer service, they made the effort to make sure we had extra condiments, plates and cutlery as we were taking the food back to our hotel. Great attention to customers needs, and the chicken was delicious!

Made the trip from Montreal just to eat Halal, but was very disappointed with the experience. The menu says that the Full chicken platter serves 3 but it was a "pigeon" that came in the platter instead of a chicken! I think management has to review serving sizes.
The season vegetables sauté is a "soup" and we had to leave it over unfortunately.
Would reconsider before going there again.

Very bad workers I ordered my whole chicken no spies and bottles of Coca Cola I asked him bring my drink 5 times never did after that the owner came to tell me I didn’t pays for drinks in very badly ways and my kid beside me plus he made pays to give it to my kid after he finished eating

Nando has its speciality in chicken (HALAL) with the marinate being a great option. You will never go bad with the whole grilled chicken for only $20.5, the best price for a chicken in town. A great service with friendly staff. Usually I order over the phone and it takes around 20 minutes to get the delicious meal ready.

My favourite restaurant in Ottawa! If you're craving some tasty Peri-Peri chicken, look no further than Nando's Merivale. The food is always great and the staff is always friendly. I've never had a bad experience. Sure, it's occasionally busy but it's worth the wait when the chicken is this good. Thank you Nando's staff!

Awesome roast chicken! Love the piri piri seasoning. And you can adjust the spiciness, handy if others in your family are accustomed to different spice levels.

Honest, kind and friendly employees who really know how to handle lunch and dinner rushes. Delicious, succulent, and consistent food EVERYTIME!

And to patrons who are not happy with wait times - They are literally roasting raw chickens in the back over open flame. It is not a restaurant where they merely 'defrost' food. Good things TAKE TIME!

I am a regular customer for many years. Good food, nice place and sitting area. Orders can get messed up sometimes due to the rush but the manager has always fixed it. Overall experience is good.

My boyfriend ordered food from Nandos Merivale on Tuesday March 16th for lunch by 4pm he was sick as ever. Turns out he got food poisoning and ended up in the hospital the next day. I wouldn't recommend eating here.

Great food at a fair price, but it shouldn't take 20 minutes to make a simple chicken sandwich. The wait times here are ridiculous.not the place to go if you have 10 minutes. That being said it's a great chicken sandwich!

I order from here quite a bit and it’s hit or miss. Never had any issues with the taste of the food but when I get the halloumi salad they skimp out sometimes on the toppings. They also didn’t provide any sauce this time. I played it safe this time around and payed $2.61 on Uber eats for extra halloumi and got two small pieces. Save yourself the cash on the extras and get yourself a double pack of halloumi from Costco for wayyy cheaper.

Always delicious, herb and lemon whole chicken and fries is a great combo for the whole family, and affordable too!

Love this place. Better experience when you dine in rather then take out. I find garlic bread taste better in dine in then takeout.

Food is good! As they say 'I like it sausy'. With the staff, not very impressed. Good location and parking. Sides are also good with the food. Definitely worth a visit on your cheat meal day!

Some places are spicy and not tasty, but Nandos is able to do both really well. They also have milder options that are also really yummy. It can get decently busy at times, but that means the food is good! The staff have been friendly whenever I have been there.

Great food and most of the staff provide excellent service! Usually see aman there when I go and he always delivers incredible service and always seem to be in an amazing mood

Food quality is not the same as before. Chicken is no more juicy and the perri fries wasn't that seasoned at all. Maybe I ordered in the wrong day (Sunday) and they were busy but they were definitely doing better job in the past.

The best chicken so far. But the location is very small, so, maybe you will have to wait for some time if you want to eat on the restaurant

2nd time at Nando's and it was great. I want to thank the Nando's staff that served us like champs, with a smile and amazing service during the Nando Dash event. First time for a couple of my friends and it was a great experience for them. Would recommend this location.

There food tastes excellent and healthy too.
But last time I had a real bad experience with them. They had missed 2 large sides from my order. By the time, I realized, it was too late and I was already at home. I had few friends visited from Montreal and it was pretty upsetting for me.
To Nando's guys, it's always nice to double check a takeout order. Coming back to pick up a missing item is not an option when someone lives far.

Great place. Can get very busy. Sit down is nice and the fancy drink machine with many different varieties is a cool touch. Of course the chicken is amazing. I like the Xtra hot. For dipping of the peri peri fries I would recommend mixing the garlic with the hot.

I Am writing this email to the manager and owner of this business, We had a meal at your restaurant today, food is good, but I asked for chicken to be well done, but it wasnt, it was barley acceptably done.
But this was not yet the negative side that offended me, the cashier and host named Aman (who have long polished nails, lacks any criteria of acceptable cleanliness that a restaurant should have,
First: when he brought the empty dishes to the table his long nailed fingers was all over the dishes from inside, he should hold it from the bottom or sides,
Second:
When he brought the main dishes with food, his nails was coming across with our potatoes and chickens, it was really disgusting for me I couldnt eat, but we were travelling after our meal, so I didnt want to talk about this infront of my husbund and kids.
Third:
When I asked him to give me abox for leftovers, he gave me the box puting all his fingers with the long disgusting polished nails inside the box. I took the box but I left the box and the potatoes on the table.
He could have handed me the box from outside without putting all his fingers inside the box!
The whole experience was disgusting, when it comes to food please hire people who looks clean, clean short nails, who knows how to handle food in the least touching method.
I will never go back their, very bad disgusting experience. I will try to talk to the owner soon.

Food was amazing and despite being so busy, staff was friendly and helpful and food was ready faster than expected!

I thought this place was wonderful, the medium chicken wasn't as spicy as I thought it would be, next time I would order hotter chicken I think

Always great food. Customer service needs to improve a little. They get very overwhelmed on busy hours.

The service was good. Hosts tried to find me a seat as soon as possible even that they were busy. Dining space is quite small. About the food, I just want to say the sauce on the chicken was good. I got the custard tart at the end and I would have to say it is the worst that I have ever tasted. The filling was too sweet. Crust is soggy and chewy like it has been left outside all day. Overall, I don’t think I would recommend this restaurant to my friends.

It was my first time and i didn't like my experience. Food was not that good and i found a hair in my chicken. I had to wait almost an hour to have a new one and no one of the employees looked chock about this.

Busy location, great food, employees are very active and kind even in rush hours. Highly recommended

We love this place. We always get double legs with peri peri fries. It's very recommended. We usually go to the one on Merivale. The servers are friendly and the food comes very quick. It's recommended!

Great food and great customer service. We were seated upon arrival and our orders came out in a reasonable time. Everything we had was delicious! My husband and I both ate for around $30. Would definitely go back again!

Slowest service ever. Even cashier don't pay attention to you. Felt like I was waiting since ages over here. And I had a very large order which had just a regular fries. Crew was busy talking with each other. Even was able to see my order was ready. Still they took maximum possible time to hand it over. There is a no point visiting them again. It's better to go with any other food chain.

The worst service. Sitting tjere from lat 15 mins no one ask. Even water also. This is there service and they even ask for what happen or no concern that why you are leaving.
