1. The service was horrible, they dint care to listen on purpose
2. The cutlery was not there is a chicken restaurant, they finally gave plastic cutlery after 3 times of asking.imagine eating peri peri checked with plastic cutlery.
3. There was no water offered or glasses available

Been a while since we wanted to leave the damn place as quickly as possible.just pathetic.

This was today, I don't want to mention the host name in public though she did a horrible job to say the least.

Ordered the new chicken thigh sandwich. Had 2 tiny pieces of burnt chicken - ruined the whole taste. Would not recommend. Gave 3 stars because fries were good at least

Place was overheated. Staff said they were unable to turn the thermostat down. The chicken is always great. The multi flavor coke machine is a hit with the kids.

First time at this location. Overall, a solid experience. Exactly what you would expect from Nandos if you're familiar with them. Service is friendly and the flavour is there.
This stacks up very well against other local Portuguese chicken options. But if you like spice, just jump straight to their hot or extra hot sauce, overall all the spice is quite mild.
Also, this was my first time trying the mac on the side. I do recommend it!

I placed an order through the phone and spoke to Rashi. She was exemplenary in her customer service skills. She patiently and excellently answered all my questions and even offered to request the chef at the back to clean the grill for me before they cooked the halloumi cheese on it (I strictly follow a halal diet so cross contamination with meat is an issue for me when ordering vegetarian meals). I haven't ordered from nandos in years and was very impressed and satisfied with my recent experience, all thanks to Rashi!

They are OK, but kind of pricy for the small portions. I won't turn it down but def not the first choice for chicken. Worth a try If you've never had it. Tasty sauces.

Food was good but the service was terrible. All tables were dirty and the restaurant was full of flyes. I don't recommend it.

Took 35mins to get order. The front was completely disorganized and had no idea who had arrived waiting for their order despite taking our names. I get home and this is what my food looked like. About 2oz of chicken and barely any food in the bowl. This is supposedly "Grilled chicken and Halloumi salad". This place has good food but they can't handle high traffic.

Great staff. Had a few hiccups bit they made it right. If you're the owner and you read this. Make sure u take good care of those guys, they gave it their all. Awesome awesome staff.

Pre-ordered a lunch for ten staff this past week. Ordered through Skip the Dishes and called to confirm order with both Felicia and Skye! Both these lovely ladies were very helpful when advising if I had ordered enough food, they were so helpful, professional and extremely pleasant to deal with! No stress, just complete professionalism. I highly recommend their food as well as their excellent customer relations! Keep up the great work!)

Oct, 23, I ordered 1 party pack & 2 whole chicken + extra garlic break-Richmond Hill Location for our family gathering.
The chicken`s taste was good but all fries and garlic breads was cold.
The day after, I talked to the manager, asked him the reason of that. He didn’t even apologize, just got my number to follow up but he didn’t call me back.

This is most neglected and dirtiest location of Nando's. The sitting place was so dirty that you can see dirt on it. Table and chairs were dirty too. Floors were dirty.washroom was filthy dirty. Peri Peri sauce was so runny. They mix water in the Peri Peri sauce. Chicken was not cooked properly. Not going there again.

Walked in, ordered takeout and the service was awful. People who ordered 10/15 minutes after me still had time to sit down and still get their food before I did even though I placed my order before. She also forgot that I had a takeout order that was sitting behind her for 5+ minutes on a not so busy Thursday night. Also, even though it tasted good, a whole chicken for $31+ with a small side and 2 tint sauces is outrageous. First and last time. Should have went to Red Rooster instead

That chicken wrap with that chilli jam.whoever made my wrap drenched it in pure sugar. I couldn't even feed it to the dog. Never again.

Nando’s overall is an amazing restaurant. Good service, & even better food.this Richmond Hill location on the other hand goes against everything I just said. This location is horrible & I keep giving it the benefit of the doubt that next time I come they will be better, & they fail every single time. THESE GUYS DONT EVEN KNOW HOW TO KEEP YOUR FRIES WARM WHEN YOU ORDER TAKEOUT.do you know how much times I had to go back & ask for fresh fries? I’m usually not the type to complain about the way my food is if a few things isn’t right eith it but come on now.cold fries? Every time? It’s not like I pick my food up late either, I’ll get there before it’s ready & boom cold fries still. I think it’s a staff problem, I feel like the staff is too young & they don’t really care about proper costumer service. Also the chicken is dry every time at this location smh. Do better. Kennedy commons location is WAYYYYYY BETTER. If I could give this half a star I would.

Such a slow service. Phone ordered the food at 10: 16 pm. 15 mins estimated. Arrived at 10: 32 pm. It's 10: 49 pm.still no food. No apologies.it's just half chicken with fries.just hanging.need some changes here.

Update: I tried again here. Terrible service. Called 4 times and was put on hold for more than 8 mins (saying “just a second “). Screen shot attached. They never picked up call to order. Such a stupid place, avoid at any cost

They left items out of my order, went back to get it and while I was waiting the wait staff said that the woman who was calling in to order was "stupid" as she had to repeat her order multiple times. The Manager Sam did not challenge this behaviour. Not great.

Foods are good, but long wait time (30mins when they promise 10mins) and no social distance inside the store

Horrible service tables were sticky n gross chicks was under cooked and mash tasted bland and old and dry would never come back to this location

Extremely disappointed in the quality of our dinner tonight. Ordered through Skip and when I called the location to complain that the rice and the peas were not cooked I was asked to make my complaint directly with Skip for a refund. Are you kidding! It's your franchise. Loyal at least 4 times month. Absolutely poor response to a complaint.

I went here 2 years ago for the first time and it was ok, yesterday i figured i would come back since i was in the area
The inside of the building was very dirty.
I did not like the food yesterday because it was not fully cooked, the portions were small and the taste was awful.
The rice we got was also not cooked.
As a cook myself I was very disappointed.

Service was horrible our food was ready before they even wiped down the tables. Left the food sitting on another table while they brushed all the debris on to the floor around us. The kitchen seemed to be constantly confused with the 3 tables they were serving

They allow only 3 tables to be used for dine in. I recommend going elsewhere and give your hard earned money to restaurants who want your business.

Over 20 tables and they only allowed 3 tables to be used. This is about 15% capacity. Current restrictions are for social distancing only. This goes far beyond that. This restaurant can’t complain when revenue is down. They had more staff behind a small counter area and less than 6 feet apart. They had three times the staff then customers in the restaurant. That is how they will get COVID. Several people walked out. Won’t be returning. Avoid this place at all cost. Save yourself the trip.

Great portugese style chicken spot that has amazing tasting chicken and good sauces to compliment there dishes. Always loved nandos because the chicken tastes charcoaled cooked and you have options for well done chicken as well which is my go to. Keep up the great work nandos I will be back!

Fast service, but they put the wrong stickers on wraps. The spicy wrap was flagged as the mild wrap, and my boyfriend was stuck eating food that was too spicy. Very disappointing.

This used to be the best place for Portuguese chicken.
What happened?
Feels like they stopped caring about their food and their customers.

The chicken is just delicious. If you like spicy food this is the best place. Get the Peri fries with the perinaise

I been eating chicken at Richmond Hill location best chicken ever. But recently they do not care. The chicken was dry and the manager did not seem to care. Her answer was that they have a temperature tester to insure the chicken is perfect. I told her the white meat was dry and they gave no sauce. She argued. A half a chicken dinner is $17 dollars a whole chicken is $40. The manager should start to care. I won't be going back.

Not the best Nandos location. For some reason the fries and chicken seemed quite off compared to the Nandos I've become accustomed to.

Bad Bad Bad. It's been a while since I was last here. It was ok then but decided to go back again hoping it would be better. Wow, so disappointing.
I gave one star because the staff were OK. Food was garbage. 100% reheated dried out chicken. Rice was horrible. Bad flavours. I don't even know how that can happen but it went straight to the garbage. $60 and nothing worth eating. May as well have taken a match to my

I always order the haloumi salad from here and i love it, but i gotta say after today i am extremely disappointed. First of all the salad looks like it was made in a rush, o got extra cheese so it came like a big cheese tortilla (not cut) same for the chicken, it came in huge chunks which just makes it so annoying trying to eat it, there's barely any chickpeas in it. But mainly this review is because there weren't any napkins or cutlery in the bag, here i am eating a salad with a spoon i found at work. Consistency is a huge part of any business and i can see Nando's not really good at it. I ordered from Skip the Dishes

The first time I was there I was really pleasantly surprised. Food was delicious. I even visited one in Johannesburg, South Africa.

I like the chicken, but the amount of the smashed potatoes, and the brussels sprouts it's so small the box size it's like a pack of cigarettes and Soo expensive, I don't understand why? Even the fries so small that we had to cook more at home. That was my first time and last time am goes to nandos.

Love the chicken at Nando's. It's just well marinated and very spiced. I will come back for more for sure. Keep in mind though that there the waiting area around the counter is tight so there is really not much social distancing occurring there when you are waiting for your order. It might be best to leave and come back later.

We went today to pick up an order and when we got home we found this bottle. At first we thought that we got the wrong order but there was a note that said "this bottle's on us".
It was a pleasent surprise and the sauce is delicious. It was a nice gift and those things make the difference!

Did an online order this evening not only was my food ready before the pick up time it was amazing, delicious words can't even express how good it was. Hats off to you guys for an amazing dinner and the extra sauce.

This is a nice restaurant and we enjoy chickens and peri peri sauce many times. Turnover in staff is almost high and sone if them are not fully trained.
They are busy and a couple of times we found tables are not cleaned and sauce bottles have lots of finger print.

If they improve cleaning, its a nice place and I really recommend.

We ordered Family pack and liver. The chicken was ordered medium but was blend, we know Nandos flavor and this was not even close. This was like blend boiled chicken. Liver was not cooked properly, had smell, we had to throw in compost.
Orderd peri fries and had no peri peri spice in it. It was a just like a regular fries
Garlic bread was good but whole experience was awful. I do not understand why only few Nandos left in GTA is ruining the reputation.

Friendly staff, food came at a reasonable time. Peri-fries are amazing. However to me the chicken needs more flavour for the price. The bottomless drink machine is a nice bonus too!

Excellent food as usual only the salad dressing for the halloumi salad is a lite to sauer too much vinegar otherwise delicious

Food was cold, Staff stood around talking while the rice and fries sat under the warm light. Staff were friendly. Hence the 1 star. Will not go back. No comparison to Nanos UK

I would give more than greatest for this grill restaurant.awsome ambience and workers. Delicious food tho.

A meeting with friends brought us here on a weeknight. The staff explained how it works and we ordered and waited for our food. A few of us decided to get a meal and started digging into our delicious peri-peri fries. They're the shoestring variety and so addicting. The corn had a weird taste to it. I'm not sure what it was but it did not taste like sweet corn. The chicken was tasty and even better when you add more sauce to it.

The problem arose when the friend that ordered her own meal got chicken that wasn't fully cooked. She sent it back to be redone and she had some of our fries while waiting. Too bad the chicken came back raw, again. It was getting a bit ridiculous seeing as the rest of us were almost finished our meals. The staff took her food back and told us that they'd be cutting into it to make sure it was fully cooked this time. I suppose it was fine the third time since they tried to fix the problem but it seems like some staff need proper training on cooking the chicken.

This is what they serve and it didn’t happen first time. Enough is enough. This place should be shut down.

Always loved it here. Menu isn't that expensive and you get a fair amount of food especially if you get a pack. Drinks are refillable for free. Love the peri peri spice they have. And their garlic bread is really good. When you get there. No one will come to take your order, you have to go to the cash register when you're ready. And you have to pick up knives and forks yourself, but they bring everything else to your table. Staff were very friendly every time I went there. Fridays and Saturdays are very busy, probably like a 30 minutes wait for your table.

The service to customers is moslem staff and they Care about making the customer welcome. Food is really good.

Still my favorite grilled chicken in the city.
Try the extra hot Peri-Peri sauce, its spicy and tasty. Excellent!

Not my first rodeo at Nandos so I understood how to go about with the menu. The food was great, typical Nandos fashion, but the customer service, in particular the younger gentlemen, really made the experience poor. He clearly didn’t care that he was working there even stating to a female employee that he watched her put the receipt paper the wrong way but didn’t care to tell her. He said it right in front of me and her.

As they were putting the food on our table, he dropped my fathers fork. My mother asked if he could get grab another one, but all he did was remind us that the utensils were beside the fountain drink. Seriously? We’re about to eat, you dropped a fork, and you tell us to go grab it ourselves.

And finally, as we’re about to leave we kindly asked for boxes for our leftovers. Again, no sense of urgency or the willingness to work, casually grabs one with no care in the world, grabs the box for us. And it wasn’t complete either, totally forgetting to get a bag as well.

Fortunately, I don’t live in the area, and was just here and happened to eat at this location. I’ll continue going to the Scarborough location.

Make sure to go in with lots of time and lots of patience cause you are going to need it. Believe it or not food was actually not bad.

Food was really good and seevice was nice. They have refill drinks and good sauce choices. It was my first time there and i felt I little bit confused but the waitress was very helpful.

Been to Nando's many times before, DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION. Portion size is consistently smaller than other Nando's and manager is completely unprofessional. If you want to go to Nando's, go to a different one. Don't give your money to this location, because you will be disappointed.

I've been coming to this location since it opened nearly 25 years ago. Although it's changed ownership and been renovated at least a couple of times, I still like to have 1/2 a Nando's bird from time to time. Their hot sauces are also probably my favourite grilled chicken condiment period. Sadly, I wish they were hotter, I feel like when they first came out they had more spice!

I was recently at a Nando's in London (England) and though the food was not spectacular, it was on the tasty side and the small restaurant was relatively clean. Based on my experience there, I decided to take my grandson for a treat to the Nando's in Richmond Hill. Well, it was not a good experience.
Dirty floors, greasy tables and greasy menus should have alerted me but I did not heed the warning signs. The washrooms were also pathetic as were the vinyl sofa seats which are stained and worn.
We were greeted by a young lady who was polite and walked us through the menu and offered some suggestions. The 2 stars are for her attempt to provide a decent welcome.
We ordered a full chicken with 2 sides (fries and mash) + garlic bread and chicken livers with the garlic bread. I asked for everything to be spicy. The garlic bread was ok. I went and got the peri peri sauce bottles and they were sticky and greasy. Food arrived and it was pretty pathetic especially given that it was not cheap. Liver and chicken were doused in the peri peri sauce, chicken was limp and the skin soggy - I had expected that the chicken would be marinated in the hot sauce then flame grilled (similar to what I had in England). The mash potatoes were foul smelling and sour - they were definitely off. We ate the bread, fries (fairly large portion), most of the liver and some of the chicken but left our meal unfinished.
On a nearby table were two ladies who were complaining to the young manager about their food quality and price while the manger argued back in full audience of the other patrons. Even if the customers were wrong, the manager's job should have been to appease them. It is apparent that this restaurant, in a prime location, has really fallen apart due to mismanagement. The place is run by inexperienced and untrained kids. I did complain about the potatoes as I was leaving and only got a blank look back. I was not looking for a refund or a freebie.
Sorry Nando's you have lost me and my family as clients. This is possibly the first negative review of this scale that I have posted and I wish my experience was a little better - I would have given you folks a second shot.
I am not going back to Nando's again!

Note: on reading my review, the management of Nando’s replied and acknowledged my experience with an offer to try and reignite my Nando’s flame. I feel this is a very positive gesture on the part of Nando’s and demonstrates commitment to their restaurant. Perhaps, in time, I will revisit (incognito) again and if I do I will update with a fair and unbiased review. Thank you Nando’s for making the effort to improve your product and your service.

I have consistently visited the Nando's Richmond Hill location over the last few years, and I have to say that the staff there continue to provide possibly the worst customer service I have ever encountered in my entire life. I am convinced that this location only hires incompetent people.

I placed a take-out order this evening: one family-sized order, and a separate vegetarian meal. Upon my arrival at home, it was brought to my attention that the vegetarian sandwich was a chicken sandwich, and also missing a side-order. I went back to this location with my receipt and had to explain this to the cashier and another employee THREE times before they understood what I was trying to say. Then they attempt to make the sandwich again.and guess what? They made another chicken sandwich. How hard is it to double check the orders that come up on your screen? In the end it took them three tries to correctly make my sandwich. Not only is that a waste of company resources, but a waste of my time as well.

Over the years I have seen staff come and go at this location; and yet, there have been no improvements in customer service. Perhaps a change in management is needed. While the food is decent, just making an order is such a hassle. 0/10 would not recommend.

Food is alright. But if you are ordering DO NOT DINE IN. Couches are dirty, floors sticky, pretty sure I smelled and saw vomit in the washroom sink. Staff do not clean they just talk to eachother. Also pretty sure the owners read reviews and dont fix anything.

My order was not as I expected because the chicken' leg was very small and I am not happy with the combination of price and quantity.
