As usual, my recent service at Columbia Auto met all my expectations as has been the case since early 1970’s

I talked to Jim regarding the paint scuffing and compounding. And he told me that the damage is minor, so I can try to clean it by myself not spending $$$ in the shop. So, I can't comment on the service but I appreciate the honesty. Definitely will come back for any repair in the future!

You can do safety inspection checking. It is very close to UW and convenient. You can make an appointment on site or by phone. The service attitude is very good.

We have been bringing our vehicles to Jim, Matt and the team for over 5 years now and the experience is always the same. Excellent!

Matt, Emily and team did it again. They took care of me and my car in a tight spot and looked at it, diagnosed it and fixed it quickly. And having a loaner to use went a long way! Affordable, trusted, professional and pleasant to work with.

If you have trouble with your car in the waterloo area of Ontario or indeed any area in Ontario please go this Garage. I broke down on the way to a long weekend away, car packed to gills. This Garage organized a tow, took it to the shop, recognized what was wrong, ordered the parts and fixed it in two or so hrs. They also gave me a loaner to go have breakfast and come back. Recently I had my vehicle serviced at Columbia Auto for 2 reasons a) failed air conditioner and b) lost video for backup camera, radio, blue tooth capabilities etc. Given the scope of issues my vehicle was experiencing, both the technician and I believed they would have my vehicle for at least a day. They were kind enough to provide me with another vehicle to drive while mine was in the shop. I was surprised when less than 3 hours later they called to say my vehicle was repaired and equally surprised to discover the cost of repairs were far less than what I expected. It seems that the radio, blue tooth, camera problem was easily resolved by pressing a reset button. I never knew this existed. The technician took me to my car to show me the location of the button and to explain to me how I could clear the problem should it occur again. This is not the first time they demonstrated how easy it would be for me to resolve issues without them. I am impressed by their friendly, pleasant and informative way of dealing with their customers.

My go to place for decades. Great service. Fair prices. Friendly and competent. Need I say more?

For more than two decades Columbia Auto has been servicing our vehicles for us. Yesterday, we had an unexpected failure and they fit our car in to their busy schedule and completed a fairly complex repair same-day for us. This service excellence is why Columbia Auto is worth the drive for us!

I have used Columbia Auto Service many times in the past 20 or more years. They have completed the usual oil changes, vehicle inspections.brake/rotor replacements, repaired the exterior dents and dings etc. Their technicians / front desk assistants are always pleasant. To date I have no complaints about the work they have completed, in fact, I have recommended them on several occasions and would continue to do so.

There's an obvious sense of community here. The staff at the desk and the mechanics take their time to educate you and help you make informed decisions regarding the work that is or isn't needed for your car. There have been a number of times when I even felt like I was taking up too much of their time with questions/concerns but I never sensed a drop of impatience, upselling, or anything that you fear at auto shops.

I upgraded to a newer vehicle and am selling the car ('07 VW Golf City) I brought here, but I would feel ungrateful if I didn't express how valuable this shop is to anyone looking to service their vehicles. Amazing. They were even seemed genuinely happy that I moved on to a newer truck, even though that clearly meant a loss of my business.

Good service. Provide loaner vehicle. You can drop your vehicle to repair or for maintenance and drive away with their loaner, come back to return the loaner and pick up your own after the repair is done.

I first chose Columbia Auto Service because they were a member of AUTOPRO, a name I've known and trusted before for their quality and professional service. Then they impressed me even more. Their customer care is top-notch, their communication is clear and concise, and the estimate matches the bill. I cannot thank them enough for their help, I will be a long-time customer, but the journey began very well.

As usual, friendly and flexible car maintenance services. These people know cars and offer practical advice along with deep technical knowledge. They legitimately have earned their awards.

The PSA post I read about this place was eye opening. My partner had some brake work done and felt it was a little overpriced. I called around after the fact and we discovered the dealer price for the same work would have been.less? Slightly less. And they wouldn't be using cheap low quality parts, they use original parts. It's easy to know they use cheap parts here because they hide all specific part information on the bill and wouldn't even tell me part numbers when I asked. Red flag.

Moral of the story here is that it's worth it to shop around. This is a business model of what can they get away with charging, vs.what is a good value to the customer. Why spend more for less?

Gave an extra star because the location is pretty convenient, nothing shady about that aspect of the business.

We've been using Columbia Auto for years now, they always do a great job at fair prices, and are very flexible (e.g. With providing loaners and accommodating scheduling needs). The staff are friendly, knowledgable, and fast.

We have been clients for over 25 years now. That in its self is a testament to the great service we have received over the years from Jim and his team. We moved to Stratford 7 years ago and are still bringing our Mazda in for service. I think we and the car would miss the care and attention you all provide.

I went to check my brakes, and the employees gave me an estimate of ~$780 (plus tax) to change my front brakes. This price was more than doubled the price that another shop in Kitchener gave me. On top of that, they charged a $60 diagnostic fee (the other company was free and gave me the same diagnostic)
