I had a really great experience with this auto shop! I called in to get some last minute problems checked out before I embark on a long road trip and they were able to squeeze me in. I believe Devin was the service advisor I spoke with—he was very friendly and polite and gave me good explanations of what they had found. The price was very good for the services provided, which included a general inspection of a lot of different things to make sure my car was road ready. I wasn’t upsold on anything, rather was given a helpful overview of what things might warrant re-checking after my trip, and what things raised flags but were not nearing the end of their lifespan. Overall I’m really happy with how my visit went here, and if it weren’t for the cross-provincial move I’m making, I would make this one my regular repair shop!
I went to Eastside auto for the first time to have my tires and oil changed. They were professional and friendly. I love that they compile a report with photos to show what work needs to be completed, as well as report on what's still looking good. The costs were reasonable. This will be my go to shop from now on.
Stay away from this establishment. Don’t go by the fake reviews. They will charge you over and above without even fixing the issue. Happy to share the receipt and the detailed bill. Here is my earlier review for this establishment. This is where you should go if you want get ripped off
. ****beware beware*** This auto shop is really expensive. I went there to get my Hyundai Sonata fixed for engine error code P0010. I was told by John that the error code would need a replacement of solenoid sensor and it would cost me 1500 dollars. I trusted him and went ahead with the repair as they offered a warranty for 40000 Kms or 2 years. I got my car back the same day and it seemed that the problem went away as the engine light went off. After driving the car for a week, the engine light came back and I went to eastside auto and told them to take a look. To my surprise, I was told that the new sensor that they had replaced is getting dirty due to oil accumulation. They went ahead and cleaned the sensor and charged me another 160 dollars to clean the sensor that they replaced to begin with. I paid and took my car back just for the engine light to come back again. This time again I reached out to John and he told me that this seems to be a bigger issue and my car needs a major fix and it’s going to be expensive. I was fed up and decided to trade in my car for a new one but one of my friends suggested a highly recommended mechanic In Brampton. I went there and had the new mechanic diagnose my car and to my surprise, he told me that this is a known issue with Sonata’s. He just replaced the Camshaft cover and seal and charged me just 350 bucks including the part. My car has been running fine since then and it’s been over a month. Please avoid EAstside Auto at all cost. It’s a ripoff. I am not sure how they managed to get so many great reviews. Save your time and money.
Eastside always provides excellent service. Their work is thorough and the deliver of their commitments. Customer service by staff is top notch. Very pleased to be a customer.
Awesome service. They know what they are doing with superior customer service. They are on top of the work and you have the feeling that they work for you. John and Devin are best in class.
I had my winter tires removed and summers put on and an oil change. Devon and John are my main points of contact and are ALWAYS cheerful and smiling. They are informative with my repairs and recommendations. Always excellent customer service and repair and maintenance service. Thank you very much! Joanna Smith
Service exceeded my expectations! My vehicle runs like new, even though it's 4 years old. Honest to goodness advice and sincere service. I was able to get a service appt same day when I called. Reasonable fees and no up sell. I feel a sense of honesty watching other customers while I waited for my car to be serviced (my choice). They even brought me into the garage to show me what needed to be done. I trust this outfit. Highly recommended!
Many thanks to Devin, John and all the staff at the Speers Road location. I am glad I found Eastside, your service is always honest, efficient and everyone is great to work with.
I visited eastside Auto (speers location) to have my Evoque checked up before buying at the end of my lease. The team did a through check and send pictures and notes on recommended fixes. Devin was amazing in answering all my questions and even helped me on choosing my extended warranty from Landrover! Overall really happy with the service and will be back. Cheers!
I could write so much about this place. They've been my only mechanic, and I never realized how lucky I was, and what good hands I was in, until I had to go to another place when I was out of town. The ability, trust, and care for the car and customer is unmatched.
Everyone else's reviews are correct, but i'll add something else. For the people who have no idea what they're doing with their car - I don't feel like I need to call my Dad to double check. One time, my battery light was flickering on and off and another mechanic in another town told me it was fine to drive 3.5 hours home from school, and I called John to double check (as I didn't realize the severity of the battery light because the other mechanic was super nonchalant about it). After I booked an appointment with John to see my car once I drove it home, he called me back a minute later and asked if I was at school (3.5 hours away), and told me to be very careful driving it home and to pull over to a safe place if it broke down, which was very likely. I really trust this place and am grateful I can rely on them! Thanks John!
Extremely positive review of Eastside Auto. They were professional and responsive from our first conversation. Repair was done quickly and within the price quote. Will definitely use them in the future and refer to friends and family.
