From the plants to the rustic vibe of the whole furniture is very classic and amazing. Their pastries are mouthwatering! Not overpowering with sugar but a perfect balance of all the ingredients. Staff is amazing! Definitely coming back

The hazelnut bar did taste more like a chocolate bar than it did a pastry, which it was more on the cake side.

I’m a regular at this place. Very hospitable management. But not very consistent all the time.
Despite that, when not busy you can have a great time.
Yes it’s pricey but again it’s justified with the location & food choice. Enjoy the exotic decor & Persian fusion with Middle Eastern food.

Hands down the absolute best croissant I have ever had. I'd say I'm really picky and and go around place to place to find authentic croissants and have been trying to find the best and this is the winner. It's as amazing and authentic as the croissants in France- if not better. Just incredible. I moved further away so now I drive an hour just for them.

Stood up for an hour because I was waiting for my party to arrive. What kind of service is this? Obviously I know why they’re doing this, little people mentality as usual

I had an amazing experience and my expectations were blown out of the water! From the amazing flavourful fresh food to the exceptional service. I will be making this a go to spot and will be suggesting it to family and friends. If you haven't tried Narenj you really are missing out!

A very unfortunate experience, we left. Was enjoying my girls day out yesterday, and deceived to visit this restaurant, none of us were greeted at the door, waited to be seated and staff were completely disregarded us. It was very unwelcoming so we decided to leave. I don’t recommend at all.

Amazing food and ambience - brilliant chance find for us in Oakville. The portions were decent and extremely flavourful. We loved the live music on a Sunday. Also; those pastries

This place has a beautiful ambient and is a lovely place to spend time in. I have been here for coffee and pastry several times and had a descent experience. However, the last time I was there the food and service disappointed me. The chicken schnitzel was extremely dry and rubbery. I could also taste burnt oil. I would probably consider this place for a coffee gathering in the future but definitely not for food.

Stopped in to sample a pastry from their selection. Got wonderful light shortbread like cookie topped with fig condiment. It was too good, I ate them all. Will definitely go back to try something else.

I really had a high hopes for this place, but it did not last long: Eggs were over cooked and greasy (photo speak for itself) poor eggs not even cooked by butter, we had ordered: Tokhmmorgh khorma and Esfinaj, we ordered Persian tea too and it was cold and over steeped, and not even offer to refilled, positive things ;croissant was good and I liked decorations of the place.

Very nice place, great lovely environment, beautiful paintings, large windows to Kerr st, great food and sweets. Throughout the time we were there, a gentleman was playing piano which was like a cherry on the top. Since we went there on Sunday, it was crowded and busy. So we had to wait for around 35 minutes. We ordered Tokhmomorgh Khorma (sunny side up eggs, walnut and dates+fava beans+salad) and Sfenaj (spinach Omelette+fava beans and salad), Narenj tea (black tea + safran sugar crystal), regular coffee and latte. The former was not what we expected since we thought it was like scrambled eggs with walnut and dates but they were separated. And the latter was just a little bit watery. The food was very good and delicious although the potatoes were just a bit salty. The spices they used to cook our food were amazing though. The owner (the lady who greets you and help you) is very nice, patient, helpful and pleasant to have a conversation with. This place is a bit pricey though which one may argue that it is located in downtown Oakville.

If you pay them a visit, TRY their sweets. They are AMAZING and super delicious. We will definitely go there again and I strongly recommend it.

The food is so good I wish I was eating it alone at home. Just so I can ugly eat it. Brisket Shakshouka-best.

Had brunch with friends here. Love the food fresh and tasty, we also liked the ambience and feel of the restaurant. We picked up some pastries to take home and they’re so good especially the almond croissants. The only thing was the server could’ve worn a more appropriate clothes and not super tight yoga pants that shows her front, found that very tacky.

Ambiance is great but the food/brunch missed the mark. Got the halloumi Shakshouka and had a weird stale oil taste.

LOVE this place. By far the best desert and pastries anywhere within 100km radius. And I should know. I’m a desert person. The morning menu, Shakshouka, is like nothing I’ve been tasted (in a great way). I wish the place was a little warmer (room temperature) that way I’d hang out there all day and never leave.

A very oriental fusion hub.went there for a brunch. They have a very interesting and delicious dishes though they lack the variety of brunch options.

I loved the dessert menu as it is rich and diverse. The hostess picked for us a pistachio mousse which is heavenly smooth and flavoursome. And a crunchy chocolate bar that has the richness of chocolate and crispness of the added layers of flakey and crispy yummies

The portions are good and little over priced but the quality of food and experience totally worth it

The food used to be really good and they used to have some great items on the menu that aren’t there anymore. I really don’t know what happened or if the management changed. I get businesses are trying to cut corners but I wouldn’t have minded them upping the food prices and keeping the quality the same as 6 months ago.

Wonderful place. Really good service, great quality items, not packed, easy going and still quite elegant. Great for a date or the whole family. We sat outside and had the shakshouka, as well as a number of pastries. Coffee/espresso based drinks and tea were excellent.

I found this gem when it first opened - I am obsessed with coffee and love trying out new cafes. This one hit different though. From the ambience to the quality of food and to the owners, Afsana & Maro, from day one have been so welcoming. From that day on, I was determined to host an event here. I just hosted my bridal shower with 45 ladies and every single one of them was raving about the aesthetics of the cafe to the service and niceness of the owners and servers to the quality of food. I have no words but hats off to everyone at Narenj & Maros. They are focused on building a community and a genuine relationship with their clients. I wish I could them a 100 star review.they have left love and memories to everyone who attended my event, making it unforgettable.

Gorgeous bohemian decor and a great patio. I’ve only he the pastries and tea, but the halloumi zaatar Danish is spectacular.

Good vibes, rustic, contemporary and cozy. Had an awesome evening with close friends and family. Guest service is top notch. Interesting setting on the patio as well.

My friends and I had an absolutely wonderful experience for brunch. Staff was very friendly and helpful and the service was great as well. Food and coffee is absolutely delicious and the desserts are outstanding-definitely a must try and worth every dollar! Not to mention, the ambience is literally so stunning and cozy.

The owner is so lovely and personable and it’s evident how much she truly cares about the quality of every aspect of her restaurant which made us love this place even more. You really don't come across unique places like this very often in the GTA. I highly highly recommend coming and trying it out:). Like don't walk. RUN!

Had heard a lot of hype about this place, but unfortunately the food wasn’t at all what I had expected, in terms of taste and it’s SO OVERPRICED for what it is. The ambience and decor is beautiful, but the food/desserts and croissants are way too $$$! But I will say, their croissants are better than all else on the menu. One must try is their pistachio and date croissant.

Step in the most unique and tranquil coffee shop in Oakville! The place is beautiful and unique, serves delicious breakfast and has a nice selection of sweets with unexpectedly delicious surprises! Everything is so delicious and the bonus is the wonderful, sweet and welcoming owner! Love this place and their food!

A friend and i were greeted by the wonderful owner, who walked us through the whole menu— she was so personable and sweet, and made this such a memorable experience.the interior was adorable, the food was delicious, as were the desserts.absolute must tries are the shakshouka and the pistachio date croissant! I can’t wait to go back and try something new! A very welcoming set up, very hospitable owner, amazing food, and a great blend of flavors. Their croissants are exceptionally good! My favorite dish was the eggs with dates and walnuts. We were a group of 7 and everyone enjoyed the food. Very well prices for the quality offered

Good selection and good quality. Friendly staff. Tried their croissant; heavy use on the butter, but geat crunch on the outside. I was surprised they automatically heated it up (suggest you ask next time).

Prices are very high. $3.50 for a plain croissant, and $4.50 for an almond croissant? ! Ouch!

Brunch and hot beverages grossly overpriced for mediocrity. Pastries justifiably priced, many intricate flavors are merged together well. Service was friendly, but could have been better at predicting needs (provide sugar on side with latte, provide hot tea in mug rather than glass) Interesting eclectic decor. Seats were not that comfortable. Background music was covers of songs, gave nice vibe. Overall decent.

Great decor and vibe nestled in the heart of Kerr Village. But food/pastries are extremely, extremely overpriced for the below average quality and taste.

Really delicious and flavourful spot, perfect for breakfast or brunch. I especially liked the muhammara plate. The beautiful decor also creates a great amosphere. Friendly, attentive and fast customer service.

Narenj is an amazing place, from the people, to the food, to the coffee. I had the pleasure of spending many hours here this summer (2021) during the pandemic, both in the restaurant and on the hip patio. The setting is cozy and the staff are warm and detail-oriented when it comes to service and discussion. I 100% recommend their company, coffee, and pistachio/date croissant!

Such a pretty spot and absolutely loved their food. I got a bunch of their baked goods which were absolutely delicious plus a breakfast (eggs and dates) dish. The halloumi and zaatar danish was really good (savoury) and we got a bunch of the sweet ones I can’t even pick a favourite. I love the concept of this place and would love to come again.

Havent had the chance to try their breakfast, but Id highly recommend trying their desserts! So light, fluffy and airy!

We loved the food the first time we came to this cafe. The price was a bit high but given the quality and quantity we didnt mind it. Visited again today and was so shocked with the way they served the same order. The portions are reduced significantly. The salad they served the first time was the highlight and they stopped serving it. The plate was def not what I ate the first time and it was a disappointing experience. I hope they return to their original plates. It was a very promising cafe and I was looking forward to making it a weekly spot for breakfast with my family.

Cons super overpriced, not all tables outdoor have covers/umbrellas so be prepared to possibly sit under the sun on a hot day without any shade

The food is amazing! The dishes are different but taste amazing. The portions are very well per person. Seating area is relaxing and comfortable. It’s perfect to go with family or friends. The staff are extremely sweet and customer service is on point. 100% recommend!
