Lots of really amazing displays and planes to look at, lots of info to read. There is a guide who explains some things in the exhibits and where to find them. You can your around on your own at your own pace. If it's a topic that interests you, give yourself at least 90 minutes minimum.

One of the finest and most well maintained museums for fun facts, information, history, and glory simultaneously

A very cool museum showcasing Canadian aviation, with a focus on the Royal Canadian Air Force. The highlight is the numerous airplanes parked in the field and in the hangar. There are various fighter jets from different periods in aviation history; there is even a MiG. Inside the hangar are various displays showcasing Canadian aviation history and the history of the RCAF. Highly recommend a visit if you're a history or aviation buff.

First of all, I don't really appreciate feeling like we get treated like child. With no coffee authorized inside. Being told we are allowed to bring it out and personnel keep telling you on your way out not allowed coffee inside etc, had to leave my friend who travel hours to come here by himself because I had my coffee waiting by the door to go out to see the plane. Another guy 2 min later hey not allowed coffee here. Pretty disrespectful, go have fun inside the cockpit with friend and his son another guy had to come bother us to see if everything was ok. I feel like there are too many workers there who don't know what to do so, they bother the few people who goes to visits. I did not really appreciate the service and atmosphere. I am a military member who has served for over 12 years and I just don't think it was up to the standard of receiving a military members and his family. Not forgetting how the customer service people looked at us with an angry face on our way out. A museum is a family activity and they should be able to provide a good service considering the small museum. Also I believe they should add some doors close to their big stairs very dangerous for children.

Very informative exhibits and helpful staff. Get up close to many historic air craft. When in the Trenton area this is a nice way to spend an afternoon.
18 September 2023 22:24
The museum has lots to read and learn inside. Give yourself ample time to browse. Will definitely visit again
16 September 2023 3:52
The museum is getting better and better! The planes outside are in dire need of new paint jobs!
06 September 2023 22:54
Great experience. Very informative volunteers here to provide extra information about the planes.

Amazing time
Pros: most of the staff was amazing. Displays were fabulous and the planes too. Such a great walk through military history. It was a 10/10
Con: one man (volunteer) with short dark hair (military I suspect) was very rude and sarcastic.

We visited the museum this July, it was a great way to spend some time as a family. Displays were both indoor and outdoor. We were staying at Presqu'ile Provincial Park & this was not far. Great way to let the rain pass. There were some simulators as well, which was cool. Was not very expensive, $12 per adult & $10 for students (11-17).
17 December 2021 14:43
Nice to see some of our Canadian aviation. Wish there was more funding to cover all the planes outside
08 December 2021 8:18
Great museum showing the history of military aviation in Canada. A few displays were closed due to Covid. The outdoor area was a nice stroll.
25 November 2021 6:01
Very informative, with so much to see! Even as someone who doesn't have loads of military knowledge/interest, I was in awe of the planes, how they've evolved. The outside portion with all of the planes, facts, etc was super cool!
24 November 2021 22:04
A little small museum for airplane, no much plane here, but good staff and knowing air force history.
23 November 2021 9:27
Enjoyed the museum exhibits and the details shared by the well-informed staff.

I was particularly interested in seeing the Halifax as my father flew one with 6 Group 426 Thunderbird Squadron out of Linton-on-Ouse, Yorkshire.

Great little slice of Canadian Air Force history! Indoor and outdoor displays with great but sometimes tragic stories behind them.
28 October 2021 19:38
Oh wow, what a great museum about the National Air Force of Canada. The museum is located inside and outside (with an extensive collection of planes). There is a lot of informations to read also. It's definitely worth paying $10 for the entrance if you love planes!
16 October 2021 1:55
Great representation of our Canadian Military history. Many airplanes and memorials outside to tour. Volunteers are mostly retired veterans.
10 October 2021 20:56
Great place if you want to know more about Canadian airforce history. Interactive exhibits are closed due to covid restrictions. Outdoor exhibits of military aircrafts are good. A nice place to take your kids.
07 October 2021 3:51
It’s very interesting to see the exhibits. If you’re into aviation it’s a place to see. Admission is free or voluntary donation.
05 October 2021 23:36
What a great experience. Very educational and fun to see all the different not only types of aircrafts, but uniforms, stories and awards. A must visit!
05 October 2021 9:14
I was disappointed, hardly any historic aircraft on display, outdoor display are very old ancient & not at all important, inside also not much, you can visit it under 30 minutes if you don't waste your time reading useless description of every exhibit. 1st time yes you can visit but never again and not recommended.
28 September 2021 11:41
Quite nice collection of exCAF aircrafts (esp.the Halifax Bomber and different fighter jets). As a museum however the Canadian Aviation & Space Museum is better.
16 June 2021 19:09
It was too bad that the museum has been temporarily closed due to Covid, but there is still lots that can be seen with many military aircraft parked outside.
You can take photos of these great planes just outside of the security fence and won't have any strangers in the background. But be mindful of the barbed wire at the top of the chain linked fence.
There are decades of fighter planes, like the Hurricane, to recently retired electric warfare, troop transport, helicopter search and rescue aircraft. This is a must see beautiful collection that is a national treasure.
They really should have a big hangar dedicated to protect these aircraft so that future generations will be able to enjoy them as well.
If you like my reviews, photos or videos wave your wings as you fly by and give them a thumbs up.

I enjoyed the museum but was disappointed that we were unable to tour the planes outside. We paid full price for half the exhibit. If the large portion of the museum isnt available I shouldn't be expected to pay full price. Aside from that j throughly enjoyed my experience.
09 March 2020 7:13
Amazing place special thanks to Mike the curator, he spent an hour giving me a tour and it was a once in a lifetime experience! Definitely check it out:)
25 February 2020 11:59
I so enjoyed the tour in the Air Force Museum
i went there in Jul 2019.the weather was very nice, there is an indoor exhibit and an outdoor exhibit.i think both adults and kids will enjoy so much. Be a lot of background history about the Canadian Air Force. Notes when we you walk outside the exhibit, they are white tile Stone on the ground with names on it don't walk on it. You have to pay admission to go in but I think it is worth it I strongly recommend to visit the Museum.
21 February 2020 23:26
Tons of displays 2 floors inside and more planes then you can count outside. There is a small gift store inside with nice memoribelia.
12 February 2020 7:11
This was an excellent place to visit. The staff are very friendly and very knowledgeable. Lots of great history. Kids enjoy it too.
01 January 2020 13:32
Fabulous display and history. A must see. Had dinner in museum catered by Ocassions on the Bay and they did a fabulous job. The bar tending supplied at CFB was less than desirable. Need to train staff to be professional
04 December 2019 17:48
A place largely unknown. A substantial and nice collection of vintage prop and jet planes. Worth the visit and cheap $10 entrance fee. Kids, students and seniors discounted. Worth the visit.
30 November 2019 12:29
Absolutely outstanding! For anyone looking to learn more about Canadian history and specifically the Canadian Air Force, you NEED to go visit this place! Excellent staff. Great variety of exhibits and information.
15 November 2019 23:22

15 November 2019 4:16
I really liked the museum. It is very nice and has tons of different planes with lots of information about them. If you are ever visiting trenton i highly recommend it that you go to this museum.
12 November 2019 1:30
Grew up just down the road. You can see the passion that was put into bringing the history of the CAF to life. My dad was stationed here as a pilot
10 November 2019 18:51
Great family experience!

Very reasonable admission.free for children 5 and under

Recommend taking the brief tour.lots of info on the planes and their history
Fun for kids as they have plane simulators

You can explore the inside of a Hercules and its cockpit.there are experienced pilots to answer any questions you may have

05 November 2019 6:43
The presentation of the planes was very nice and the fact that you could get all close and personal to the planes. The staff/volunteers were very nice and helpful. There were things to do for kids to keep them entertained and overall a great place.
01 November 2019 9:38
Great museum. We went with some friends and our kids and it was a great outing. Kids especially loved being able to sit in the simulators. The staff, I believe volunteers, were very friendly and knowledgeable. The Halifax airplane is especially well restored.
22 October 2019 11:25
Housing one of the only remaining Halifax bombers used in WW2, this museum has over twenty planes, some old and some new. You can even go inside a small Cessna to look at the inside buttons and dials.
19 October 2019 2:57
Excellent display of aircraft and ephemera. Very moving tributes to Canadian who have given their lives for peace and freedom. There are a lot of aircraft trainers that are fun to try out (especially for the kids.) A nice addition for the trainers would be a simple explanation of how to use the six-pack. Don't miss the exhibit on "The Great Escape. "
16 October 2019 20:10
Found this totally by accident.
Inside and outside are lots of planes, helicopters and various other air force related things.
We had a guided tour of the first floor by a gentleman who was very informative of the various planes on the inside. If one is offered to you take it. It was free with entrance fee.
12 October 2019 18:37
The Halifax bomber is a unique piece of Canadian history, but its also nice to walk among the aircraft of my 1970s childhood. Old friends.
12 October 2019 11:24
Vast outside AirPark, many classic aircraft. Liked the Great Escape display. No place to get food though, only drinks.
12 October 2019 8:05
It was great and the tour guides are really nice and dedicated to explain all the stories for each side of the museum. Dawlyne (I hope this is the correct spelling of his name) is such a great person who helped us understand how planes are built and stories behind every drawing on the wall.
09 October 2019 5:10
Great display, especially outside. No ropes or barriers so you can walk around, between, even under the planes. A very immersive experience.
06 October 2019 20:40
Très intéressant et un moment pour nous rappeler l'histoire et les gens qui ont donné leur vie en sacrifice pour notre liberté.
30 September 2019 2:16
Amazing experience. Indoor and outdoor aircraft. Well laid out displays. Great for all ages. A wonderful tribute to Canadian aviation history.
28 September 2019 4:50
Si vous êtes dans le coin, cest une visite intéressante.
Les avions à l'intérieur sont bien, ceux à l'extérieur ont besoin "d'amour".

Excellent travail de restauration du Handley Page Halifax Mm VII.
27 September 2019 3:51
Wonderful exhibits and great staff. If you have any interest in aircraft please visit this museum. Staff are great and the displays are awesome.
16 September 2019 7:57
Really cool place. Lots of memorabilia to see and learn about. They have the main large building with two levels you can walk through and learn lots of history and see old aircrafts and things related. Outside they have a path you walk though and see lots of more aircrafts. Definitely worth the visit and cheap to get in.
12 September 2019 18:32
Was a great experience visiting "National Air Force Museum", and touching parts of Canadian Army technology and history! Proud for our Army.
12 September 2019 18:17
Amazing place to see our Canadian air force aircrafts. Amazing staff to help us navigate through and talking about the history of our fallen officers
10 September 2019 14:44
Great place for Air Force fans, not so for aviation enthusiasts.
They have quite a large collection of planes and helicopters. Would have been great if the cockpits were accessible!
It's a shame that there's almost no mention of Elsie McGill in a Canadian museum of aviation!
27 August 2019 10:46
A great museum for the whole family. Visitors of all ages we there. We were with toddlers and granted we didn't read everything they still enjoyed seeing the planes and learning bits and pieces of our history.
