Wish there was zero star for me to rate this bank, no concept why it deserves to be top 6 Canadian banks.
I made an edeposit via mobile banking and the cheque verification process was taking over 2 weeks with nothing happened at all, plus my account was locked.
Tried to call in even the Security Fraud Risk Department and talked to the agent on the phone. The staff confirmed my account is clear and nothing wrong, she asked me go back to the branch and request teller unlock the account since they obviously could do it.
Sadly speaking, the branch teller refuse what i presented and talking like they are not responsible for that and blamed on my account is new.

For the cheque verification, the branch wanna put the responsibility for the CIBC since the bank name printed on the cheque is CIBC which is riddiculous.
All things I figured out that their department just leave my case there without any action.
Very disrespectful to customer and rude.

Would not recommend any new customer put your money in or any funds investment in this financial institution.

Closed your account with them and leave.

Locked me into a loan with extremely high repayments. Was told I could lower them once I returned to school. Currently in law school and paying 1k per month on a loan and they won’t adjust it. Very disappointed - was told one thing and being held to another. Please go anywhere else for your banking needs.

Called this bank and location numerous times over the last few weeks just to have my calls never answered, answering machine every time. Trying to change something on my account and its like pulling teeth trying to get something done about it. Originally spoke to a gentleman 4 months ago who said he would help me with my request only to find he didn't in the end. Pretty terrible hours too for anyone that works days or nights.

**EDIT** Had someone reach out to me after posting this. Issue is now resolved, always remember, squeaky wheel gets the grease.

I have a mortgage with them, and need a question answered and have been calling for 3 days. They don't answer or call you back.their customer service is amongst the worst I've ever seen. I will be moving my mortgage somewhere else as soon as possible. DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE, it will be the most frustrating place you've ever dealt with. They do not value their customers at all. Read the other reviews, that say the exact same thing I'm telling you. Just like the others, I would give 0 stars if it was an option.

Iam giving one star because if you don't you cant write your review. Zero star option should be there too. This bank don’t deserve any rating. I and my husband has account as joint in here and our mortgage is through this bank but we have given void cheque of other bank on march 30 because we get our pay in the other bank, we were still having money in this bank in case processing time exceeds they took out mortage money from national bank after march 30 there was whole one month after that for next payment we expected that this bank will do the needful as we got email in just few days saying your request is processed we are all set from our end. In next month they charge fees of 45 $ saying that you don’t have enough funds to my understanding payment should be deducted from other bank which void cheques we gave on march 30 th, now my credit will be effected, once my husband went in the bank because teller and staff were not understanding what we are explaining them. Its been a week now they have not refunded our money moreover if you have any doubt they will keep on transfer your call from one staff to other, and ask you to come in the branch, we live in guelph and bank is in Kitchener. We have to take off from our job to figure out this nonsense.
I don’t understand how this bank is still running, it should shut down.
If you want headache you can open your account in this bank because all staff are well trained to give headache snd make people’s life hell.

No one at the counter. Waited for more than 15 minutes and then walked out. Useless bank service as compared to CIBC, RBC, TD and other banks.

I would like to give a ZERO on my rating, but if it wasnt for bank manager Raibin who went far above and beyond what anyone has ever done for us. After multiple attempts trying to solve a MAJOR headache between NBDB and NB. Ray was able to step in and get my problems solved. Thank you so much Ray for all your effort, and kindness and professionism, you are awesome

I'm afraid I have nothing positive to say. They have made countless errors on my mortgage throughout the years and made the process so challenging. Although the people are really nice we need to count on them with our money and it's really disheartening to feel this way.
