Disappointing experience!

Car wasn't clean well enough. Water stains, pet hairs and crumbs.
Just pointed me towards the car and that's all.
Car option in emerald aisle was very depressing with not a single option of intermediate SUV.

Upon returning, absolutely no questions asked about my experience nor I was told the total.
As an ex-employee this was really surprising to me.

Excellent Service, Friendly staff, Clean Car and Quick Service.
Pick up and Drop off super easy.

Booked online with thrifty and they screwed up my reservation, gave my car to someone although I was there 15 minutes before the requested time. Walked to a National counter without a reservation, was in my rental car within 15 mins.

Very friendly service and helpful agents. We were looking for a mini van doing a one-way to the states, and they only allow US plated cars for such one-way trip.
The agent there walked around the lot to help us find one of those cars available for one-way trip to the states, and made a few phone calls to even ask for those vehicles from the garage. All the time he was friendly and happy to service us.
Comparing with other car rental companies, this is exactly why I almost always choose Nationa. Professional service and great cars in good condition. Highly recommend.

Terrible vehicle choices in the aisle. Had to pay for an suv as an elite member. Vehicle also didn’t seems to be cleaned very well and parts of the rear seats were broken. Not impressed.

My experience with national has been usually good. But since Covid-19 hit their selection of cars in the emerald executive aisles has been dismal. If this continues I will need to rethink my long term relationship (>300 days of rental with them and switch.

Came in a little late and the check in person added about $80 to my bill without talking to me about it. Not very customer friendly to someone who has been a customer for 15+ years.

As always with National, easy rental process, excellent car, and easy return. Booked a mid-size, but got a nice SUV from Emerald Aisle. On this particular day, National had the best price of any of the major car rental agencies.

Continue to have excellent service. The Emerald Asle service is terrific. Just walk up and take a car, show some documentation upon exit and you are done. Same thing in returning the car. Give the attendant the keys and walk away. Receipt is e-mailed to you.

I only have one complaint. I rent a car for 3 weeks over Christmas. The airport location charges a hefty premium. That means I rent the car for a day, return it to an in town location and rent another car there. Saves me a lot of money but surely there must be an easier way.

I always rent with National for work and personal travel. The airport pick up and drop off locations are extremely easy and the staff is always super helpful. Thank you to the team at National:)

When I picked up the car, I noted it was 7/8 full and agent said she would note it and if I fill it up, I would get a rental credit for extra gas. She didn't note it and after 3 calls to National CS and multiple calls to this office, I was able to resolve the matter. Poor customer service on the Pearson side for not doing their job in filling up, noting the record or responding to the original complaint forwarded by Customer service. A waste of my time!

Car was outstanding- but I did request the pre pay fuel charge and return car empty but they applied the refueling charge regardless The pick up was a mix up between Enterprise and National which took time I returned it off hours which was why I did not rectify the oversight at the counter Not sure how much this cost me but the mix up on the rental process is not god but I did like the car very much

I had a great experience renting from them recently. Staff were very helpful and the vehicles were great. Was easy to choose the one I wanted and be on my way. I will definitely use them again

Emerald Isle here works great, Came from terminal 3 and a staff member just directed us through to pick our car. Checked out and on our way. Early morning dropoff was almost too convenient and minimal since we were super early and no one was there, luckily an employee showed up to start their day and let us know you just leave the keys in the car and go!

Terrible. Rented a car in the middle of winter with snow and freezing rain in the forecast and they did not provide a snow brush in the vehicle. When I returned the car the attendants were just standing around chatting with eachother. Took a while for someone to come over to take the keys and no one asked for any feedback.

Always a great experience dealing with National. Being an Emerald Club member is so great! Line up of 7 people at kiosk and we just walked up, picked up my awesome Charger and were on our way!

Overall a good experience. This was my first use of the Emerald Club where you just walk out and pick your car. The only downside was that all of the options were huge. I just wanted a small SUV (RAV4/Rogue) and ended up in a larger vehicle. More varied options would be better.

PIck up and drop off from Pearson Airport was easy. The person that helped me when I picked up the car went the extra mile to help me find the car that I wanted and the person that collected my car when I dropped it off was very pleasant. Thanks National!

Good car selection and I really like being able to just bypass the counter and walk directly to the car lot and pick any car and go, huge time saver and a great relief after a long flight.

Well National didn’t have a vehicle available that would fit me in the full size category as I have hip issues and so they were kind enough to rent me a Didge Durango. The problem was that this vehicle is a gas guzzler! Also, the vehicles are supposed to be smoke free, but this one smelled terrible of smoke. However, they did give me a discount because of this issue and I appreciate that they did. Staff was helpful and courteous.

I have been using National for many years and so appreciate being able to pass by the rental counter, straight to my car of choice. It is quick and easy and car rental return is also well handled.
It would be perfect, if the company could place trolleys in the return area so that you don't have to waste time out in the terminal searching for one. These have been in place my last two rentals and this upgrade is much appreciated.

I appreciate being able to select my car and leave and arrive at Toronto Terminal 1 with little fuss. This keeps me with National. I do miss the bottle of water that used to be provided at checkout.
Sirius radio is important to me and I love that I can now pre-order it. It would be great if the personnel on site could be taught which cars are sirius enabled. They don't know this and it takes several minutes checking out cars yourself.

I have been a regular customer of National Car Rentals for the past couple of years. On a recent visit to the Toronto airport location I chose a model with which I was familiar, the Hyundai Elantra. The first three days of my rental were primarily in the city of Toronto, then on day four I headed out on what would be two days of extensive Highway driving. It was then I discovered this car did not have cruise control. When I reached my destination for the day, I called national car rentals at the airport in Toronto and explained my predicament and that I would be passing through Toronto on the 401 highway the following afternoon and would like to pick up a replacement car. The agent agreed and upgraded me to a Nissan Altima. The exchange was made, taking less than 1/2 hour out of my fairly tight schedule that day. In closing I must say “ really no cruise on a rental car in this day and age”, but ultimately Nationals quick and courteous customer service won the day.

As a Emerald Club member, I just love the hassle free service of National Car Rental. Pick the car of your choice, inspect and drive to the checkout booth. All in less than 10 minutes!

This was my first time renting, and I must say I am impressed. I've heard many horror stories about people getting ripped off and having fees and expenses that they didn't agree to nor see. This was not the case, as the agents clearly explained what I would be charged for and how everything works. The agents that we dropped the car off with we're excellent as well, as they inspected the car, checked the fuel level, and showed me exactly what I was going to pay. I am a happy camper and will definitely use these guys again. As a reference, for a 26 year old, clean insurance, first time renter, I paid approximately $130 for two days. This did not include their insurance, as I had my own.

Great experience again.customer service was excellent. The only negative comment I have is that the maps on the GPS were not very current. Minor issue, over all great experience.
