I had Terry both in car and in class. The amount of effort and fun he brings to the program is unreal. Going into drivers ed I anticipated a boring, uninteresting experience. What I didn’t expect was an interactive and just enjoyable time. My time spent in class and in car with Terry is something I’ll never forget. Thank you!

My driving instructor was Gabriel. He was a fantastic teacher, never condescending, never yelling. He was knowledgeable, patient, clear and firm with his expectations, and adaptable to my specific needs. When it was clear I was struggling with parallel parking, he was able to alter his methods to suit my particular issues, allowing me to do it very successfully during the test. His focus was in safety and defensive driving, which he is obviously passionate about. There is no doubt in his mind that I am a better and safer driver, and that I would not have passed the test without his help. Before Gabriel, I drove with family, and with another driving school. The other school was a waste of money, and my family, while helpful, simply weren’t aware of so many intricacies of the road test. Many things get forgotten over years of driving, and not all driving instructors are the same. I can’t recommend Gabriel enough.

I had an amazing experience with National Defensive Driver Training. Terry provided a great experience and made it easy to understand and retain the information he provided. They are extremely flexible, especially my instructor, Ian. Ian always made it easy and enjoyable to drive with him and had the best tips, tricks, and information to make certain moves easier. Ian always had great stories to tell and we always had great conversations. Highly recommended, best driving school in Guelph by a mile, it’s not even close.

Both my kids took this training. They had heard from their friends that this was a top rated Guelph driver training company. My son and daughter raved about the in class portion, and more importantly, their fabulous driving instructor “Gabriel”. I went out of my way to meet him and thank him for all of his wise advice and skills passed on to my kids. Once my son and daughter sailed through their G2 test, I immediately wrote Gabriel to thank him for helping both my kids succeed as competent drivers. I highly recommend National Defensive Driver Training.

Had a great time at National Defensive Driver Training thanks to my in-class teacher Terry and my in-car teacher Ian. Terry was a great teacher and explained everything extremely well. Ian was a great instructor who provided tips and explained everything very well, Ian always had cool stories to tell and we often had great conversations

Gabe is a phenomenal instructor and always made the lessons fun. I enjoyed learning from him and I recommend this institution to anyone else looking to receive a drivers education.

Gabriel shows such passion for this job and makes the learning experience really fun! His good sense of humour is balanced with a comprehensive training approach that takes driving super seriously and that is essential since driving must always be safe! He stresses this always and teaches you good driving techniques in the best and comprehensive manner! He also gives great advice about how to be a defensive driver and be careful of others on the road. I had such a good experience training with him and I passed my G2 with no problems whatsoever and knew exactly what to do due to Gabriel's awesome training. I most highly recommend this school!

I found my experience at National driving school to be quite useful and pleasant. I learned valuable information both in class and in car. Our in class instructor Terry was a great teacher and very enjoyable. He was good at engaging the class in a humourous way. My in car instructor Ian was very nice - he was knowledgeable, he knew what he was talking about and he was great to work with. Ian challenged me to improve my technique while also being chill and understanding. He was funny and we had good conversation:) I learned a lot through National driving school and I definitely recommend it to others.

I don't write reviews ever, but this school changed my mind. My in-car instructor, Gabriel, is absolutely incredible. I can't recommend him enough. Even though I hate driving, every lesson with him was super enjoyable. He'd always find a way to make me laugh and I'd always find myself in conversation with him. He's kind, funny and bright, and was always patient with me. I never felt judged or stupid, even when I made stupid mistakes.

Anyone who's had Gabriel can tell that this is more than just a job to him. He's does everything to make sure that you not only pass the test, but also be safer on the road in future driving. He's dedicated to every one of his student and follows through with them to the end. And that's not an exaggeration by any means. I had my first lesson with him 4 years ago and just recently passed my G test; he teased me about how I was scared to death of going over 10km/h when I started - something I can't even remember myself.

I'm going to miss Gabriel's random banter and absurd love for cute animals. If you read this, thank you for the life-changing experience you've given me. Hope you keep doing what you love, and I'll see you on the road!
