New Balance Toronto

Absolutely love this New Balance location. Located steps away from Pape subway station, the staff here are professional and pleasant. I called in on a cold winter day looking for a specific type of footwear for my very complicated feet. I typically wear a specific New Balance shoe and was looking for its comparable alternative in a hiking boot. Colin helped me to navigate the options, made suggestions, and he offered to put aside 2 pairs for me to come in to the store to try on that same day. I can't even begin to tell you how incredibly helpful and considerate this was. At the store, he measured my foot to make sure I had the correct size. He also helped to point out features of the boots in question which I was less familiar with. Of the 2 options, 1 was the perfect size and I left with hiking boots in hand. The service was exceptional and made for a trip that was well worth my time on an extremely cold day. I would highly recommend this location!

A lovely young woman named Julia was super helpful, accommodating and welcoming from the moment I walked in, and I very happily walked out with the comfiest shoes I now own. Shop nicely laid out, staff very nice. Reply to owner staff nice but when asking about walking shoes, pointed to shoes on display, none I liked, and I asked about running type which he said would be fine, but felt no real enthusiasm,

All New Balance stores are franchised in Toronto. They do accept returns for online orders but can not return on the spot. Nor they provide you Any receipt when you return anything. Customer has to wait few days until he gets the money back from New Balance. It's impossible to get any sale or deals in these stores limited sizes and verity. Definitely New Balance needs to open an outlet store in Toronto. It's a very good brand but they are lacking behind on stores

Great service and always helpful with sizing and getting the right show for your personal needs. Wide shoes are their specialty.
Update: Best shoes I have ever purchased!

Julia was fantastic. After having sized the length and width of my feet, she recommended the perfect show for my price range. I can now resume my daily walking as these shoes have accommodated bunions, metatarsal and talus issues (all on one foot)

Worst customer service. Could not help me return an online order in store. Told me to call customer service. Brutal.

I've been to this location before and have previously found the service somewhat lacking. That said, I went back hoping for a different result.

I went in looking for a successor to the best runners I've ever had - the Zante Pursuit. I asked about a few of the models and was pointed towards the 880v11/v12 by a staff member I can only describe as "indifferent" - generally disinterested attitude, not knowledgeable when I asked about differences in models, etc.

I tried the 880 and initial impression was OK (as in, you can only assess so much from pacing up and down in the store. It's not the same as running), so I went and bought a pair through the NB online store. After one run, I could tell they are not good for me but unfortunately I'm out the $200 they cost be cause they are now "not in new condition".

A little more research afterward has given me the insight that the Tempo V2 would have been the most appropriate follow-up. I definitely feel like the staff should know their shoes better than this.

I got great advice and assistance from one of the associates to pick the right shoe for me! Super happy.

Shipped in a pair of shoes from another store for me. Then when they didn't fot, they shipped in another size. Great service.

Very indifferent staff service. Indifferent meaning once it was determined that you didn't have the shoe I asked for in my size, the transaction was over. Maybe next time see if there is another shoe perhaps that I might be interested in?

When done with me, he moved onto my partner, but different response to her request: "I have one pair but they're on hold for another customer", and walked away. Again, no options offered that might give us hope that someone actually cares!

We walked out and won't bother going back.

After one disheartening customer service experience at this location I decided to give them another shot. Unfortunately once again had to deal with disinterested sales staff who were more interested in discussing their weekend plans than helping the multiple customers in the store. Had to ask for a foot measurement and then they couldn’t be bothered to check the fit of the shoe. When they didn’t have my size, they didn’t ask if they could check other locations or online for me (which the infinitely superior Summerhill location always does). Won’t be back.

I had an amazing experience at this location. I was greeted immediately and all staff were very helpful. Marco helped to find the proper insoles for what I needed; I will definitely be back because of this excellent customer service!

I need sturdy shoes for foot issues, and New Balance was recommended to me. I've been satisfied with their products. On this occasion, they seemed to be having supply chain problems and the specific shoe and size not available with no idea of resupply.

Told them I was there to buy a new pair of NB and i felt I was bothering them. It was very difficult to leave the computer to assist apparently. Will be going to a different NB store.

Best shoes for me and my toes and they were great when I needed to get shoes for my older brother who had a large bunion. New balance had the shoes for him

Needed a good pair of shoes for my daily walks. I received prompt assistance and most importantly, the shoes are great. I'd shop at this store again and it's in my neighbourhood. Shop local!

Friendly and knowledgeable staff, I have never bought a New Balance shoe. Mostly buy running gels or stuff like that when I visit. Shoe prices (even when discounted) are too high for me relative to other places.

#newbalance #fail tried to purchase during their once a year sale.no stock nor were they willing to call other stores nor offer a rain check. Very poor service!

Great customer service at this location; Sela <sp> spent over an hour with me helping to find the right shoe based on what my chiropodist recommended. Sela was patient and committed to helping me find the right shoe - which in the end we did. Thanks NB Danforth and Sela.

Ryan was very helpful by listening to my foot care needs/medical issues and fashion tastes and he gave me a good selection to choose from.

He was patient, considerate of my needs, gave me a proper measurement, properly explained the best solutions for my case, and was visibly moving around with hustle which I appreciated.

I'd definitely purchase from this location again.

Bought 2 pairs of shoes for my sons in the July. One is completely fine but the other one has pretty much fallen apart. It's coming up from the soles and coming a part at the sides. My son wore mainly his sandals during the summer so they weren't worn much. When I called the store to let them know the sales person was very rude and even suggested that I was making it up and told me that I should have called a month earlier. I know New Balance are generally decent shoes but was not impressed by the store that doesn't stand behind their product. Will never shop here again.

They only carry their own brand shoes "New Balance". Besides the limited selection you can expect helpful and friendly service. There is always a decent amount of shoes on sale for the budget spender which means quality shoes for a good price.
