New Casa Abril Restaurant - (New Management) - Traditional Portuguese Cuisine

It's always a great service! This new years eve party was awesome! Great food, well organized, great on all ways! Very nice stuff and not very expensive for the quality of service! Keep going!

I'm 60 years old. My wife and I use to visit restaurants in average twice a month. This is a worst food which we ever had. Unfortunately I can't put rating zero. The fish was dry, difficult to chew and fish had a spoiled smell. All was too salty and it was no spices at all.

Attended a baptism celebration. The staff was a delight and the food quality is nothing less than exceptional. Being a food, I've got to admit, their prices are incredible.

I just had my daughters baptism here and I am extremely happy with this restaurant. We had the private room upstairs and it felt very intimate and was great to have a space to ourselves. Leading up to the day the owner & workers were such a pleasure to work with, very accommodating and friendly. The day of the event the food was amazing & there was an abundance! If my guests went home hungry I’d be shocked. The service from servers to bartender was 5 stars, constantly checking in every step of the way. This place isn’t cheap, but you definitely get what you pay for & I am super happy we picked casa Abril for our daughters special day. Thank you!

After spending $370 this is my families worst experience! Go to a buffet instead and you’ll still get better service. Although the food is good here; The service makes it just not worth it. We arrived at 1 and only left at 4: 30 because the servers are all over the place and never asked once if everything was okay but instead we had to flag them down for anything. Continuing, We have never been to a restaurant that hands you your birthday cake with the candles on top of the box and just put on the table and walks away, when we already waited 15 min for them to bring it to the table after flagging the girl down again because they won’t ask you if you need the bill. Unfortunately, my mother and I had to take the box to the bar and light them so my grandmother wouldn’t see. Not only this, but when we had asked for a white wine that they were out of they took the menu and some wine glasses away instead of asking if there was another one to order, so than I had to ask two different servers for the menu and our wine glasses back which we only received when we got our appetizer. Not only just this but we were never asked anything; including if we even needed water and had to ask for it, not knowing that we were getting charged for water for the table (but that’s the service they won’t stop and listen to what you need or what they provide even if it’s your turn to order). We waited over an hour and a half for our food and there was not a single time that our server (s) checked in, every time we needed anything we would have to get up and find someone or try and flag someone down which is extremely frustrating because if we were listened to when ordering instead of being rushed to just choose when they come because if you have questions about a dish be prepared to get skipped over than have to call your server over after others orders in your party have been taken because they will forget. This was the worse restaurant experience any of our family has ever been to and it was extremely disappointing. You mind as well go to a buffet because you do everything yourself here other than make the food. It was extremely embarrassing having to get up to find your server and we were not the only table doing this. If you have all day to waste it’s a great choice because you will be waiting a very long time for everything and anything.

I’ve been coming to Casa Abril for a long time, they have so far the best portuguese food I’ve tried in toronto. The staff is very friendly and the food is amazing.

Best portuguese food in Toronto, awesome staff along with really good food.
I highly recommend for large events or a couples dinner. 10/10

UPDATE: We had our sons baptism there on June 4! It was amazing. Great food and service. They had 2 more parties going on upstairs and downstairs but we NEVER felt unattended! We look forward to going back!

I had my wedding at that place! It was perfect 2018, went back for a 5 year anniversary omg let’s say it’s not what I expected! The place got a nice facelift wonderful, but the food I didn’t eat my friends was so disappointing.get back your old chef.

We held our daughter's first communion here yesterday and we couldn't be happier. From the 1st day we went to book to the end of the event, everything was flawless. The food was deicious and the service was amazing! Highly recommended. Thank you very much for helping make our little girl's day super special.

Great Portuguese dining, very authentic and nice renovation, they also have music for weekend or select evenings it seems. A covered patio is at the side too

Really wanted to like this place since it's so close to where I live. Unfortunately the chicken was bland and dry. The Piri Piri sauce was decent and they just serve white rice instead of your typical Portuguese rice. The people were nice though.

We had my daughters baptism here. The food, employees and management were top tier with helping us plan and set everything for her special day. Our menu was amazing even though we had buffet style. They bought out appetizers and fruit platter and the food was very fresh and hot! Will definitely come back to dine and hopefully more special events they cater too! Very happy.

If you haven't tried portuguese food, I recommend you to choose this restaurant because there is an amazing atmosphere combined with delicious tradicional portuguese dishes, that made me felt like I was eating in Portugal

Terrible!

Okay the good thing about the establishment is the location but the food horrible.

The steak I got was tasteless it was raw, I need it to get it cooked again but I didn't see any difference and it didn't taste different either, I left light headed I was sweating to go to sleep I thought I got sick, and that isn't even telling how expensive it was, really expensive.

If you are ever going around this part of Toronto and thinking in eating in this establishment, think twice about how you'll feel after the food if you want to keep you life expectancy high.

I just discovered the best seafood spot in the GTA and I have to go back because I’m not done with the menu. The seafood was so fresh and the flavour was everything. I’m from the island and I’ve been searching for a spot like this for years. The staff was very professional and welcoming you definitely won me over. Thanks for the great service experience and the best seafood platter! Nice indoor dinning area and beautiful patio setup, parking will not be a problem. 5 star

Lovely venue with their own parking and the catered event has plenty of good food and drink!
